Without a doubt there's potential for a great game in TL. Technically, it is the best MMO on the market. I like the slow pace and progression, because most other games are too fast nowadays. Normal and magic items have a meaning here and you can actually do well with them. The dungeon boss fights are very well done, but I don't like them and feel locked out of progress when I don't do them. Learning the mechanics feels more like a second job, even though they're well implemented. Then you also have to deal with people, which isn't always nice with this kind of content, and it's not something everyone likes to do after a day of work. Many people play MMOs for the mindless grind. This is the main problem. The game has good content for everyone, but you're constantly forced into content you may not enjoy. Then, a word about the chat filter. It's restrictive to a point where normal conversation is often not possible, because regular words are banned. You have an MMO that is based on player interactions, and you prevent said interactions. Find the mistake.

What a game. The graphics, the music. The story and presentation are true to Warhammer 40k. There are so many great subtleties about the gameplay that make the game difficult at first, but feel really good when you master them. It also makes the game much more interesting than a full shooter. For me, Space Marine 2 is the game of the year so far simply based on how much fun I have.

I was very sceptical and Diablo 4 hit me by surprise. From gameplay to story, graphics, endgame content, customizability... they pretty much nailed it. In many ways, D4 will be the new standard for action RPGs and one that is not easy to match. They actually looked at the market for once and took inspiration from other popular ARPGs and it really shows. The loot system and endgame can be improved, but looking at everything else the game offers, that's acceptable. The game is still better than everything else the market currently has to offer. Let's face it: when all the real critics say it's a good game, then it's a good game and the children from certain toxic gaming communities who downvote the game are wrong.

Big fan of action RPGs and I very much wonder how this was rated so low at the time. It's definitely up there. Gameplay is fun with very different characters, weapons and skills, the graphics look great with a very distinct style and it seems to get most of the convenience things right that other games don't. Stash tabs and sort function, basic loot filter, quick sell, detailed explanation of mechanics (additive/multiplicative bonuses etc.) and generally a very clean UI for all the content it has. There is a somewhat useless cover system that you can simply ignore. The suppression mechanic to shield from status effects on the other hand is very useful and I wouldn't be surprised to see it implemented in similar games. Item hunting can be a bit of a pain, because there are too many item drops and sorting/selling/salvaging them out takes quite some time when you're not familiar with what to keep. It would be better if unlocked stats could be put on items instead or if there simply were less relic drops. Ancient relic stats are unlocked by ingame challenges. Nice concept, but again, there are too many of them, it forces you to constantly change your build and most of them are not really useful in the end. The advantage of the 40k universe is that it actually offers a decent story with a lot of interesting background if you want to get into it. It's still very straight forward monster killing, but with a reasonable explanation behind it. With the game being on sale on Steam, this was certainly one of the best deals I've made and a better purchase than the recent Diablo iterations for sure.

Bought it for the co-op multiplayer, but that is very disappointing. Endless waves of enemies, only running/shooting and no tactical approach. Stupid armored enemies that can take five mags. Only two player co-op instead of four like in the previous game, which would be fine if it was more tactical, but for all the shooting that's required it's not enough. The story mode on the other hand had exactly the opposite problem: not enough shooting and too many sneaking/hiding missions. The new inventory system is nice, but it's very overused. Collect five of X and two of Y to craft Z. I enjoy RPGs, but no thanks. Boss fights are also a concept that Modern Warfare definitely doesn't need. They were absolutely misplaced. One main problem for both modes is that the AI really doesn't work well with stealth. Once you're spotted, all enemies in the area instantly lock onto you and hit you from anywhere as long as there is a line of sight. They don't have to individually detect you, but suddently know where exactly you are and it doesn't feel right at all. The gunplay is amazing as always, but that's an expectation by now. Everything else is sub par.

When Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal I was laughing. When I first tried it I was surprised by how good it actually is, only to then be disappointed again by poor design decisions. GOOD Some of the new fighting mechanics like auto-attack and move on the same button hold, and attacking while moving work really good on all platforms and I'm sure we will see them more often in the future. The gameplay is generally spot on, as usual in Diablo games. They adapted and improved many things from Diablo 3, like rifts. The game works better as an MMO without seasons. Instead, the ladders for the specific content are periodically reset. Then there are some nice new clan and faction mechanics in here, like the shadow war that lets players engage in clan battles and it could make for a worthwhile mobile and PC game. BAD The party finder is terrible. Only two weeks after realease, you often spend more time waiting than playing, because the content is too spread out. The people who implemented this can't do basic math. Then there's some UI problems with the party search. It adds players that are either afk or in another area and can't join the quest you are queueing for. So all players are asked to confirm that they're ready and that fails because of those players, and then repeats forever. Players who can't join or refuse to join should be kicked from the group automatically. The microtransactions. I don't even mind that much, unless the game throws them in my face all the time. And Diablo Immortal does that by giving me some useless free junk every day to make me pay attention to the store. Guess what - that won't make me buy anything. It's just annoying and makes me dislike the game. Unfortunately, Blizzard broke their word and microtransactions can give paying players quite a huge advantage, even though the normal progression as a free to play player generally feels good. I think this will turn out to be a good short term and a very stupid long term decision for them - so exactly what you would expect from game management these days. I'd even be happy to spend some dollars on good skins or stash space, but I will out of principle not buy anything in a game when it lets players become stronger through microtransactions. VERDICT In the end you have a game that could be genuinely good, but a lot of potential is wasted by short-sighted management decisions and Blizzard's reputation will probably suffer from this.

I've spend thousands of hours in ARPGs and Lost Ark is so far the best I've played. * Smooth gameplay and skills like no similar game has * Incredible dungeons with original mechanics * Hours and hours of good story content * Impressive graphics * Great UI that offers almost everything you could ask for * Good leveling system. Early levels are easy and later ones take long. * You need to grind. This is good, because players have something to do. Many kids these days don't understand that a grind at the end of an MMO is good. Otherwise the game just ends there and you silly people complain that there's nothing to do. You can only have one of these two and grinding is definitely better, especially when it's fun. The only thing I could complain about is there is no way to transfer between servers. They could make tranfers expensive, but it should be possible. And the PvP is really bad, because it relies too heavily on stun effects and there's no fluidity - exactly the opposite of PvE. One side is always on the ground taking damage and the first good stun often decides a fight, because it's not possible to get back up before they're dead. Which is actually an incredible waste, because the PvP modes in the game could be really fun. Opinions can differ, but if you give this game 0/10, you have no appreciation for what makes a good game and should go back to Candy Crush.

Update: I appreciate the effort they put into updates, but the game gets worse with every patch. Instead of enjoying new content, you have to rebuild all your characters and relearn basic mechanics to even be able to play the game. It's very tiresome. There is no continuity and it seems the developers have no idea where they want to go with the game. GOOD + Very complex skill system with endless build possibilities. + Fluid combat and good controls. + Brings back the Diablo 2 atmosphere and gameplay. + Ladder system and fun challenges. + Good content updates. + Some super nice mini games. + Free to play, but not pay to win. + Great community. BAD - Game mechanics are not explained very well. - The skill tree is often changed and reset. I don't wanna spend so much time thinking of a new build and re-allocating all the skills after every patch, on all my characters. The skill system is too complex for that. Suggestion: Mark the skills the player had before the reset to make it easier. - The UI is still bad after all these years. Quests take up half the screen and can only be disabled for all characters etc. The chat has also never been improved. - The endgame mapping Atlas system is too complex and too much effort goes into map and watchstone management. - Many unfair boss mechanics. Too many invulnerability phases that are not obvious at all, so you never know when you can do damage and when you can't. Too much instant kill crap even when you build your char kinda tanky. - Needs endgame content that is entirely unrelated to maps. - "Microtransactions" are way too expensive. 15$ for a skin or stash tab is mental and getting just the essentials that you need to enjoy the game will actually cost you more than a full price game. VERY BAD -- The camera is far too close. Especially when in a party and in boss fights it really hinders the gameplay. -- Only the host makes progress from mapping mechanics. I can't even begin to get my head around how deeply stupid this is. -- Way too many effects on screen, especially in parties. It's difficult to see what's actually going on under all the loot (even with filter) and explosions. -- Bad optimization. FPS drop considerably when there are many effects on screen, even with high end hardware. -- Lag issues when playing in a party. Anything above 100 ping is pretty much unplayable due to rubberbanding in this game. -- Trading is an important part of the game and it really needs an ingame auction house or something like that. Trading through websites and manually texting people is extremely tedious. -- They are clearly creating collectors items with the intention of selling more overpriced stash tabs. The gameplay is suffering from all the collection crap. It's too much. = VERDICT = Path of Exile is a good ARPG. If you like planning crazy builds, theory crafting, and you want a single player game with a trade function that requires a high time investment to progress beyond a certain point, PoE is for you. If you are a social person who likes to play in parties or you want to enjoy a game even when you don't play that often, PoE is not for you. Playing in a party is strongly discouraged, both for technical and gameplay reasons - and that's sad, because the community in this game is great and more co-op play would go a long way. The endgame needs too much planning to be enjoyable for casual play. ARPGs should be games that you can play daily even when you only have half an hour, but that will get you absolutely nowhere in PoE, because you'll spend most of that time finding the right map to play to be able to progress, moving around watchstones etc. Personally, I'm absolutely torn apart. I really enjoy the character building aspects in PoE and most of the gameplay, but I don't like how much the game is focussed on playing alone. 8/10 despite all this criticism should tell you how good the rest of game is though and if it got only some of the other stuff right, it would be out of reach for any other game in the genre.

The database team made bad decisions which led to launch problems in a way that could make you question the professionalism at Activision with good reason... Diablo II Resurrected itself however is a better version of the game we know and love from 20 years ago. The graphics are much improved and modernized, but the gritty, dark atmosphere was preserved. The UI had some improvements as well. Gameplay is almost unchanged. The beginning can be difficult, depending on the class, and there's no hand holding. Once you get going, the first 90 levels are easy, the rest is a horrible grind. As it should be. The same goes for farming items and it's awesome. If you're the kind of cry baby that destroyed Diablo III with your incessant "I WANT EVERYTHING ONE WEEK AFTER RELEASE" and one week later "I HAVE EVERYTHING, THE GAME IS BORING", kindly stay away from Diablo II. This is gaming as it was meant to be. Easy to learn, hard to master. I think they could have done even more regarding UI and stash improvements. A better lobby with game tags for farming, story, trading. A loot filter and maybe optionally a buff bar. Stash search, more stash space, a stash tab for resources. But then again some might argue that it would take away from the original feel, but these are just things I have come to expect from modern games.

Great game hindered by horrible camera controls. The camera is fully manual and doesn't lock onto enemies or rotate to the direction the character is facing. The boss fights are extremely boring "learn boss attack pattern" style and require more patience than skill.

+++ Cyberpunk is a great mix of story-driven RPG, loot shooter with tactical elements, and open world game. The world looks stunning, the setting is immersive and the main story is amazing compared to what you see in other games nowadays, but don't make the mistake to stop there. Some of the investigative side quests are as good or even better than the main story. They take hours to complete and give the game a whole different, more quiet spin, compared to the action-packed main storyline. I'm definitely looking forward to more of those. They put a lot of work into the characters and it shows in the animations, dialogue and voice acting. It's these interactions that bring the world to life. There are many characters in Cyberpunk that would lend themselves for a spin off or DLC. I liked that the main story isn't too long (about 20-30 hours I guess). If you want more, there's the mentioned side quest lines, gigs that have you steal something or help someone, some collection quests and typical open world stuff - mostly beating up gangs. --- There are some minor bugs that are to be expected and will be fixed without a doubt, but during 100 hours of playing I haven't had any bug that wasn't fixed by saving and reloading. The biggest issue for me is the pop in of NPCs and cars. They disappear as soon as they're out of sight, so if you pass someone and then turn around, you'll see a different NPC than the one you passed. You won't really notice this if you just go from A to B to do quests, but once you know about it, it's difficult to ignore. When you do something illegal, police are teleported right next to you and that's where it really breaks the immersion a bit. The same goes for races, where your opponents are continuously teleported around you, no matter what happens. The car races in this beautiful world should be a highlight, but like this they're just underwhelming. Similarly, NPCs have almost no artificial intelligence to speak of. They have a very limited set of things they react to. I'm guessing that this is a direct result of how the NPC spawning works, because it's difficult for objects to interact with each other if they just instantly pop in and out of the world. These choices were most likely done for performance reasons and it's the one major thing that the game could do better. If you are looking to interact with the open world a lot, cause trouble and get into police chases, this game is simply not for you. They will have to fix this if they are looking to make an online mode, but the way I play, it hasn't prevented me from enjoying the game. === In the end, Cyberpunk is easily among the best I've played. It's like Deus Ex, but with a much bigger, open world and a more complex skill and item system, if you want to compare it to other games. It's heavily story-driven and the world just serves as a big stage for the quests. You won't find a lot of interaction outside of those quests, so again, to draw a comparison, Cyberpunk is not GTA in a sci-fi setting. I haven't watched many trailers up front, so I'm not one of those who are disappointed that this and that didn't make it into the game. Instead, I can fully enjoy it for the great game it is. 10/10 and my game of the year.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a great game. You have a lot of freedom to roam through the nicely designed open world. The game is mostly true to the European historic context and has a complete voice over, which adds a lot to the immersion. The quests are unique and there are a lot of details in places you don't see them in other games. This is a game you need to take time to play. If you rush it, you will be annoyed by the chores the game puts you through. It has some problems. - The worst fighting mechanics in any game I've ever played. They tried to make it realistic, but that failed miserably and it's the reason this game is not an easy 9 or even 10. It all just feels slow, clunky and unresponsive, even at high skill levels. - The AI is crap. Enemies can track and attack you during pitch black night. - There's a save game limit and the players need to manage (i.e. delete) their save games. - Issues with impassable terrain like ledges you should easily be able to pass. - You can get stuck in trees. - The save system is supposed to make decisions important, but it can be frustrating sometimes. After losing half an hour of progress, you just want a regular saving system. - No inventory management (mark as trash etc.). Mount inventory not available from vendor screen. - Sometimes you get a bounty on your head and it's not clear why. I know the developers wanted the game to be immersive and unforgiving, but I think making it a bit more user friendly and accessible, like The Witcher 3, would have been better. It's their vision and how they like the game to be and I accept that, but despite liking a lot of things about the game, the issues -especially the combat and saving systems- prevented me from finishing the game.

You get most information on the run and there are no interruptions, similar to The Division. - Some missions are incredibly badly designed, especially the ones where you have to protect NPCs. - Vehicle physics have a lot of room for improvement. - A few animations could be better. -- Terrible AI. Shooting, movement and skills are snappy and fluid. + Better enemy AI than TD1, more interesting fights, less bullet-sponginess. + The game is more challenging. You can die easily when you don't take care and it's great. Cover and positioning are very important. + Extremely varied and interesting mission locations. + A metric **** ton of content. + Good loot and progression. + Very good graphics for the most part. + Great audio (gun sounds, music). + The story is a bit better than in TD1, but you still shouldn't expect too much. A lot of the immersion comes from interaction with the world rather than the story. - The item system is crap. It takes way too much time to sort items, especially mods. Skill mods are completely useless as items and could have been implemented in a dozen better ways. - Some of the UI needs work. - There's little incentive to free roam coop, because you only get XP for stuff you haven't done already. - Protagonist still can't talk. Hurts the immersion quite a bit. - Character creator could be improved: More hair and beard options. Sort colors properly. And don't use the term "body type" instead of "gender". - Frequent crashes with DirectX 12 renderer on some CPUs. It's amazing what the Ubisoft team can do if you give them enough time. They no doubt created one of the best open world sandboxes. The one complaint I share with many players is that while the game is technically great, it doesn't have much to do with "Assassin's Creed". The name could almost be dropped at this point. They really need to continue the main story. It's been 10 years and it should come to a conclusion at some point. I have to deduct another point, because Ubisoft changed the story of the game to appeal to homosexuals. Nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn't have any impact on the story and Ubisoft should have the spine to stand up to social justice warriors and stick to their original story. Stop trying to appeal to everyone and just do your thing, for **** sake. Giving in to such idiots makes you look weak. tl;dr: The only weak point in this game is the story.

They're deleting reviews now lol. Think about this: Would you rather have a bad review because of the Epic store, or a bad review that reads like the game is legitimately bad? Flag this again and you will get the latter. The Epic store is terrible software. It's about what you would get if you had a bunch of monkeys typing random stuff into computers for a month and then hit compile. It has hardly any functionality at all, it looks like space trash, it has a metric ton of security issues and Epic are breaking European consumer laws with their email spam and shadow accounts. I consider the Epic launcher malware and since you have decided to tie your game to this malware, I decide to give it a bad review.

PUBG: Too buggy. Fortnite: Stupid game for kids. Blackout: Paying full price for a battle arena game? LOL Apex Legends has great gunplay (based on Titalfall 2), a good map and diverse characters. That makes it easily the best battle arena game to date.

XCOM 2 is a good game, but a lot of things could have been improved. * The user interface could be better. HP bars cover half the screen, navigating the base has too many annoying animations, you can't see what items your team have equipped during the missions etc. * There are still quite some bugs. * Line of sight needs a lot of improvements, especially with storied buildings. * RNG seems even worse than in the first part and it's often frustrating. * Missions are kinda boring and repetitive. The strengths are the same as in XCOM. The gameplay and customization options are good, but there's too much that distracts from it. Feels like XCOM 1.5.

When you install both XCOM 2 and War of the Chosen, WotC is deactivated by default. I'd really like to know who's genious idea that was. I noticed it like 10 hours into the game. **** you for wasting players' time like that.

Some parts of the game are really, really well done. Good graphics, nice shooting gameplay. The main problem is the company behind the game. At every step you know that their main concern is money and that they are willing to let the game suffer because of it. They are willing to lie to their players and treat them like **** And then you ask yourself: Is the time I invest in this game really worth it? Answer: No, it's not. Not even for free. Also: Yay, lootboxes! Activision/Bungie: You are paying for those extra profits with user ratings. I think you will find that in the long run, it's not worth it. Just ask Ubisoft.

UPDATE: The game now has pay2win micro transactions. Previous rating was 8, but screw that. The other major annoyance is that half the content is only accessible if you join their stupid Steam community group. Payday 2 is somewhere between frustrating and great, because there are many things that should be better, but with the right team it's an awesome game and it only gets better the more you play. Good: * With the right team and good communication, it's one of the best coop experiences. * Many different possibilities to do missions and the game mechanics generally work great. When everything comes together and you pull off the perfect heist, it's very rewarding. * Nice customization options (masks and weapons). * Great soundtrack. * Shooting feels and sounds very good. * Cool back story, they even made some movie clips. There's not much of a story in the game itself, but it works. Most players **** at the game though, because it can be quite difficult and requires more than shooting, and that really drags the whole experience down as you'll find very few enjoyable public games on the higher difficulties. Bad: * The loot system is completely randomized and it's ****. I've played over 30 hours, am level 50+ and only got one of the weapon mods I need. * Connection problems when too many players are online. * The game browser keeps crashing and you have to restart Steam to fix it. * There's an XP penalty for playing the same mission too many times. When some missions are played more than others, it's because of bad mission balance, so they should work on that. * Many missions are too difficult for public groups, that's why players only play the easier ones. Sometimes there are way too many enemies and you can't really do anything, more so when you're unlucky with loot drops and have crap equipment. Especially on multi day missions, the last mission is often too difficult and all the time spent on the mission is lost when it fails. * Most of the weapon and armor stats are displayed with rounding errors and/or the math behind it is just weird, which makes the game bad for theory crafting. * When you get disconnected before a game ends, you get nothing. Which leads directly to the next point: the game doesn't have host migration. If the host disconnects, it's over. * Sound gets stuck often when a game ends. * There are many "hold down F key" events. These should be triggered by tapping the key once. Pressing it down for several minutes is really lame. Also, props to the developers for releasing free content. I just wish they would concentrate their efforts on fixing some of these problems.

+ open world is done very well + skill system + combat + controls (PC) + technically a very good game with one exception* = average story and characters - *the Anvil engine is still too CPU heavy in populated areas The game is very enjoyable. From an open world perspecitve, it's among the best games I've played. The surroundings look great and are varied, as are the quests (at least many of them). The story is, again, a bit of a letdown.

Great addon. Good maps and content, exploration is fun, decent enough story, great mounts that all play very differently. I have to give a deduction for the loot box like skin system Anet introduced for the mounts. It's a rip off, plain and simple. The end game content consists more and more of gold farming to buy gems to buy visual upgrades. The gem store, that was once only a quicker way to get stuff, has now become the only way to get a lot of things and at this point it's barely better than the DLC crap in other games.
