The game was incredible at launch. However the devs showed their true colors over time. Antagonizing the player base. Purposefully ruining the experience and fun of the game to feed their ego and grunt fantasy kink. They just love to abuse us and create problems to sell solutions. But they sure as hell don’t care about fixing the countless bugs and issues. Without counting most of the game was outsourced to top it all off. Overall. Just don’t spend on it. Take it from someone who loved playing back in the days

It was a very good game at launch, but every update since 2024 has made the game worse. The developers do not understand why people enjoy their game, and it shows. Every patch takes away more than it adds. Every change shows a lack of care and understanding. Changing mechanics to be less fun. Prioritizing selling new content while leaving old content and features broken for years. There is no content after the first ~20 hours that you can get without paying money. A recent update started paywalling vehicles for the first time and broke the game completely for Linux and Steam deck. Not to mention that performance is genuinely the worst I've seen in any modern game, likely due to its kernel level anticheat that doesn't stop cheaters. If I reviewed this a few months after launch I'd give it a 9. Now? The game is literally unplayable, with random crashes and hard locks that, in one occasion, forced me to replace my motherboard. I cannot give a game I can no longer play even a mediocre score.

Don't Buy This Game!!! Let me be clear. This game is great, but the studio Arrowhead (AH) and the devs are too busy killing their own game. It is a constant cycle of "its so over" and "we are so back." This game is currently uphold by players' hope that the incompetent devs can somehow improve the game instead of destorying the game through their pathetic ego and **** head of AH said they are not focusing on any progression, any fixes to the mistakes they made or take in any feedback from the wider community. They are stuck in thier own bubble focusing purely on player count and only listen to yes-men who listen to them. Look at the recent AMA (Ask me anything), they did on reddit. It was the worst AMA I have ever seen, it is only delusion and deflection. The devs **** at their own game but they still want to make it into their "grunt fantasy." The only progression you will get is by paying (warbond, aka season pass). The AH from the start of this game is dead. The only thing that remains is greed and **** devs will lie to you over and over again. They will make things harder for you, rules that apply to you does not apply to the enemy. The only time they actually fix anything is either 1) player count dips so low, they can't ignore anymore, such as during the 60 day patch when they were nerfing everything and ignoring everyone or 2) before the release of a new warbond, since they are greedy POS who creates problems so they can sell you the **** you have some semblance of intelligence, unlike the glazedivers too busy defending the devs like all the nintendo and playstation fanboys, look at all their promises. From better communication, to not nerfing what our equipment (like the Coyote), and look at how their Mods and devs talk to the players when there are no cameras pointing at them. They are delusional at best, incompetent people who got lucky at worst. The devs have been constantly increasing their studio size but the quality of work has been only getting worse. A side note, look at the content, from the battle for super earth, the squids, cyberstan, these are not the work of AH. They outsource everything to a 3rd studio, they are only there to put it into the game and do some balancing (to AH balancing means nerfing everything that is fun). AH will fix a harmless bugs like leaving the shuttle during extraction but will not fix bugs like enemy clipping through terrain. This game has no hope with the current people in charge, it would been better if it was to be handed off to another studio.
