Same game different coat of paint. Menus are still slow, all the modes look the same, career mode is barren as usual. They do this every few years. Minimal changes to gameplay and graphics. But the worst thing is career mode. Its even worse than before. You make money in the mode but cant spend it. You win championships but nowhere to display your trophies. Its just a stupid menu with terrible presentation. I keep buying it because there is no fighting simulation alternative but this is the last one I buy. Developers should be ashamed, UFC should be ashamed.

Overall, its a great game that does very much with very little. Graphics are basic and charming, gameplay is simple yet engaging. It all kinda works and is hard to set your controller down once you get into it. Only complaints would be weapon/tool variety and potential for automating some tasks so it does not become repetitive.

007 First Light does exactly what you need from a story driven single player 007 game. As any game it has its faults, but overall its a very satisfying experience. The biggest issue for me was the driving. Its an important part of a few missions, but is very stiff and limited. Looks cool, feels like an after thought. Other than that the "boss" fights are very easy and give a regular bad guy vibe. Some people will complain and compare it to Mixtape in some sections, but that is unfair. 007 has a few moments here and there where the game "plays itself" but that is not the whole game. Its still at the end of the day a single player linear story so just like any game there will be a slight cruise control mode. Graphics are very good, but I still fail to understand how no studio is able to match what Rockstar and Naughty dog have been doing for the past 10-15 years. The game did not include alphabet people and the only race/gender swap that I noticed was M who plays a minor role in the whole of the game (probably less than 1 hour of "screen time") Overall a very solid game, that captures the 007 vibe. Good lead character/actor, cool set-pieces and an interesting story.

Looks good but the aspect ratio is just terrible. I understand artistic ideas and the desire to make a game feel like a movie, butat the end of the day its a gamedesigner who thought he is doing something big by adding 2giant black bars on a beautiful game. Just sad

Should be game of the year. Most likely wont be. Beautiful ode to RPG's. Not perfect but taken classic concepts of RPGs and made something I will replay for years to come (or at least until KCD3). The only issue I see with the game is the end game. The previous game gave you a town to build, and the economy was great. Here the economy **** in general, and you only get a blacksmith to work and develop. Imagine, if they added more tourneys, and a better economy, so we can have motivation to stay longer

I played it on a PS5 before the update. The game is amazing. We need more of games to be like this. Great Story Great gameplay Great economy

I usually compare games to their predecessors so Im basing my review on GOT. Gameplay - 5/10. It would have been better to learn different techniques for the katana, or a different weapon compared to magical weapons sprouting from nowhere Story 2/10 - Very lazy revenge arc, a lot of plot holes especially in the villains actions. Graphics 6/10 - slight improvement from GOT, but really need to look for it World 7/10 - Better than GOT in some regards. Not in most tho Basically its a lazy sequel to GOT, without the moral compass of a samurai. Gameplay is basically the same, with minimal changes due to the switch between stances and different weapons. The targeting system in melee is very janky. Also the switch between weapons compared to stances looks very unrealistic. The weapons are ok, but they all feel the same. Button mash, with good timing gets you the result you want. So its pointless IMO. Only thing that is new and I like a lot are the bounties even tho they get repetitive after a while. Graphics just like the gameplay, are very similar to GoT with minimal improvements here and there. Foliage reacts the same, water is as bad as it was in GOT. Animations are mostly kept the same as GOT which is very disappointing. World Design is slightly better, with the "town" hubs feeling more lived in. Only issue is that they are much smaller than the ones in GoT so I kept thinking where do most of the NPC's sleep. Story is way worse. There is an opportunity to go with a different character -Jibei. He has the more compelling story out of the twins, and would fit the parameters we expected from a sequel of GOT. Atsu on the other hand is bearable, compared to the online uproar. There are moments where you can see that her decisions are terrible and costing countless people lives, but somehow magically it all works out to make her to be the hero. But the main problem if we are comparing Jin and Atsu is that Jin had a moral compass and was likeable. Atsu is not likeable. Only reason that NPC's seem to react positively to her in the game is that she is a killer. Jin on the other hand had more pure motivations in his actions. There is not a lot of the LGBT crap so far, but Im barely 30% in my progress so I hope that does not change. Bottom Line Unnecessary move to a character that no one will like, and a basic revenge story arc that we have seen a million times. Stale gameplay and stale graphics do not help the game out. I usually review games when I'm done. But this one I had to jump in early with my main concern pre-purchase being is it worth it. Answer is that so far I regret purchasing the game full price and not waiting for the discounted offers that will surely show up in the next few months.

Just needs more. Maybe a sandbox mode. More alters variants. Its very original in its approach to this type od game. Cant wait for more!

We got used to mediocre games and now slightly better games seem amazing. Another overhyped bloated mess. Looks amazing, the "open world" kills it for me. There is nothing wrong with a linear game. Why is everything open world nowadays. I was invested till i reached thefirst bigger map. And then i see the clutter. And my gamer ocd needs to clean it up. Looking for "ancient relics" around the map like an **** thats when I deleted it. Im looking for items that even the developers couldnt be bothered to name. Its just plain slabs of stone called ancient relics. Its basically saying buy my **** and be **** rather play Space Trucker. And I hate trucking

Huge fifa fan. Not calling it by the new name. Sadly no longer a football simulation. Now its a betting site.

What could have been. Instead of improvement we just got 23 packaged as 24. im a fan of games like this but very lazy. Still put in 80hrs in it but could have been 180. Biggest complaint is the forcefull introduction to female rookies. No woman has raced in F1 for a reason. And me as a fan, cant get over the fact that all the max potential rookies are females. No issues with female racers, but it brakes the "simulation" part. Its like black vikings, or mongolian basketball players. It just does not happen in real life, why am i expected to believe that in a "simulation" game. Also its not like women play the game. Its 99% men.

Best way I can describe it is, a kid telling a bed time story to an adult and somehow it makes sense. A kid that is interested in postal service, whales, guitars and is still figuring out what death and babies are. But it somehow **** works!

Its a missed opportunity. They got lazy and over did it at the same time. Its a good looking game but comparing it to a 5 year old game lile Ghost of Tsushima im not sure if it beats it. The town/village areas are great. Probably the best part. But why be a samurai? I miss when assassins creed actually focused on assassins. Upto ac3 the focus was on what was important. Since that we have more of a warriors creed. Agressive hitbox limited gameplay. Got it 3 months after release still a mess. Frame rates drop constantly, buildings are floating in air, npc run thru mountains. Also no idea whythey decided to limit naoe to only urban parkour. The climbing is a bit downgraded. Grapling hook cool tho.
