Solid cat adventure game. I would have given this game an 8, if it wasnt a tale of two halves for me. I was not a big fan of the first couple of hours, but absolutely loved and adored the second half of the game. Beat it in 5 and a half hours. Pros: - Press O to meow. - **** purring - second half and ending was just memorable. - some cool level designs Cons: - First half was too basic and elementary - where was the melee claw attack?

compelling story and characters good enough for a single playthrough. But the more you play the less interesting this choose your own adventure game became. This game could have been so much more. The art direction is just wrong, and anyone who says its a choice is lying to themselves. Some of the true live animation cutscenes later in the game are pretty bad and janky, which leads me to believe the art direction is the result of either a small budget, or lack of technical know-how. I would have preferred a telltale artstyle and animations at the least. The story while good for a single playthrough, just left me wanting way more, especially in the second half. The majority of choice and consequences usually lead to the same plot ending, with minor shake ups here and there, (apart from maybe the one major choice in each chapter effecting the ending). Also not a big fan of the jumping back and forth, especially during the first half. The story was great, but this choose your own adventure system is not.. its just ok. The execution and design choices of this game is questionable. Why cant i skip dialogue when exploring the story? Why does it feel like some characters arc just ended?, etc etc. Decent for a single playthrough, but so much wasted potential.

Pretty good story game, with very unique gameplay. Interesting characters and mostly interesting side stories. Plays like a roguelike/interactive game, but it is actually pretty linear. Decent overall story, but a pretty underwhelming ending. One of the most unique take to the interactive game genre in the market today, took a while to get the game going, but I really enjoyed it for what it was. It also comes in at a reasonable price, so definately do check it out if you like story games.

Flashy, fun for an hour or two, but guns lack oomph, gameplay loop is exhausting, and the story/characters dont inspire much. AA doom that is not as engaging or fun as it looks. Maybe objectively it is not a bad game, but I think this falls under the it is not for me personally.

A little bit better than little hope, but so far the first two games of the anthology has some of the most monotonous gameplay, even for a interactive game. It does have a better story, decisions, and characters, but still falls flat in terms of horror and the interactive genre. Not bad if you want to snag it on sale , though.

A half decent story and world ruined by what is not a very good interactive game. Tropey, unlikeable characters and little to no replayability, especially based on the story. Half assed game mechanics like character traits, that barely matter. Barely serviceable gameplay elements even from a interactive game standpoint. This would be one of those bargain bin games you find, play and quickly forget about if we were in 2005.

Great little roguelike that is actually on par with hades in a lot of ways. Great progression into mechanically hard gameplay segments later on in the game, and addicting. My biggest complaints is the lack of interesting animations and special effects of weapons. Otherwise a roguelike that is very accesible, with great gameplay and challenge. The game gives you hope, and then you run into a wall, and I love this game for that.

A game that I **** on sale for half off and enjoyed, however this being a premium priced game, I would not neccesarily reccomend you check it out at full price. Powered by a great cast of characters and touching story, this choose your adventure style game kind of falls flat in other areas. Pros: - Compelling story in a cheesy way - Great small cast So-so: - the small side content Cons: - choices barely matter, story is set in stone. - Wished this game had qte prompts. - Really short game for $60, questionable replay value. Great story, but with weak player choice input. Beat this game in two days with not much replayability. Solid game, but not worth $60,,, snag on a sale but only if you like games like telltales, Speaking of telltale, I wished this game would had been more like detroit become humans branching paths, but alas your choices barely matter.

A sequel that comes with terrible controls, cheap deaths, frustrating moments, hit or miss puzzles, and ultimately just not fun. What made the original enjoyable to me was the straightforward atmospheric gameplay. They tried to add a decent amount to that formula, but in a unpolished and imprecise way. I was battling with the controls half the game. This game had me more frustrated than when i was playing limbo because of its game mechanics. To me, this sequel is disappointing.

Just wanted to check this game out to recoup my $60, but after about 45 hours turns out this game is pretty good. It is no GTA, but a high end ubisoft game in the same ballpark as some of the best open world games like ghost of tsushima, horizon forbidden west, etc. Pros: - Tons of great all around side content, diverse and interesting - Gunplay and driving are solid. - Better than expected stealth options, some cool level designs. So-So: - Decent overall main campaign, cast and story. - RPG elements, skill trees and augments are mid at best, disappointing at worst. - Loot becomes less interesting the more you play, gun variety is weak; you just get modded versions of the same gun over and over. - Some half-assed elements like crafting and consumables. Lower your expectations, cyberpunk has amazing side content, and good but not great everything else. Not GTA, but a high end ubisoft game. And I enjoy high end ubisoft games.

Largely the same, will scratch that baseball itch though. Not a big fan of what they did to nerf pitching and award bad hitting this year. Lots of yellow bloop hits and very early deep fly outs and hrs. Slower pitch speeds, easier to foul off, harder to strike out. To me it kind of ruins the skill gap, even though it was already miniscule to begin with, seeing as this game is a lot of rng to begin with. Kinds of ruins competitive online for me, personally.

A pretty good solid game, let down by the lack of depth and challenge in gameplay. Pros: - Graphics - Great characters, banter, humor and decent story - liked the telltale style dialogue system/ sporadic choice system So-So: - the combat lacked any challenge or depth. Kind of felt mindless spray and pray, and wait for cooldowns and then spam special abilities without really caring which is most effective. In the end, the gameplay just could not carry the game to greater heights. I think I died once early game in combat, and died maybe 5 times because I failed a qte in this game. i did enjoyed the characters and banter. This is also a surprisingly beefy game, considering its linear design, clocking me over 15-20 hours. 8.0/10

Decent game. Liked it, but did not love it. Plays very similar to old school action platformers, with interesting theme and a cool art-style. It has overly simple combat but has a decent challenge. Lack of mini-map is frustrating, as getting lost and running in circles in this world is not enticing enough. Very familiar old-school level design, that follows the same formula after the first hour or so, and sprinkles in some cool elements every now and then, with really mostly the challenge pushing me forward.

Open world is fantastic. - Overall gameplay, machine robot design - SIde Content, SIde quests, tons of stuff to do - Solid story and likeable characters So-So - a little too many bandit camps for my liking - would liked a little bit more unique weapons/ outfits, instead of weapon modifiers. - ok skill tree Cons: - first 8 hours or so was a slog to get through

When I was not playing it , I was thinking about it, etc. Great gunplay, coupled with never seemingly unbeatable foes make the grind worth it to me. Pros: - Addicting - Enemy design, level design, loot design - Gameplay - Light Show - Getting good So-So: - As a rogue like game, it isnt as deep as others when it comes to synergizing playstyles. Returnal also has a decent open-ended story that is up to interpretation, with a fascinating presentation. Game is not for everyone, but if you like a challenging game, this game is worth full price. Pros: - Parkour 10/10 - Map designed around parkour is amazing - Majority of side stories are diverse and not black and white - Other side content like windmills, substations, are unique and generally have great level design - mission design overall never felt that repetitive - Tons of content So- So: - Weird progression, but decent overall story. - RPG elements like loot and skill tree, kind of underwhelming and eerily similar, and not worth it to stress over that much. - Combat felt copy and pasted from original game, shame techland did not feel the need to focus in an area which could have benefited the game greatly. It is ok. Cons: Maybe it is just me but that ending felt like a gut punch, made me feel empty. Overall, very enjoyable game with great traversal system and a lot of enjoyable content with great level design. *multiplayer only* A mediocre game with the chance of becoming a mid game in maybe a couple of years, and that is ONLY if you are looking to play counterstrike on consoles. If you are playing modern mode, just turn in your gamer card. Here is all the issues with the game: - You can not even aim properly half the time in the game. - One map for each game mode, is pathetic. shame on you. - Frequent stuttering in game When everything works, I see glimpses of a potential viable counterstrike on consoles, but in a market oversaturated with fps you had one chance to make a first impressions, you failed. I probably will not be coming back, even in a couple years when modes gets more maps, performance issues fixed, etc. Game is DOA, and it is wholly deserved. Lazy.

I blatantly ignored inventory system, and just pressed LT every once in a while. - Side content is literally generic side objectives with trash loot as the reward. - Level and enemy design This is a rent, just to blaze through the campaign, and literally ignore everything else, then quickly return to get your money back type of game. Gameplay eventually gets old, and gets too button mashy, and side content is more of the same and not worth the extra time. Game clearly had potential. but i think CD focused on GAAS. * I hate PvE with a passion, will not waste my time on the multiplayer.

Really good and accessible roguelike. A little overrated because of the repetitive nature of rogue-likes and luck of rogue-likes, but this is definately one of the more good and assessible ones. It is not mechanically hard, it is hard because of no save points aka being a roguelike. The game will probably start clicking for people one they reach double digits in run counts. Pros: - Very accessible rogue like - Rpg/ grinding elements - Side Characters quips - Addicting and varied gameplay loops to an extent So-so: - story Cons: - rng and repetitive nature of rogue likes Rogue likes after beating this game are still in the niche category for me. End game runs are not everyones cup of tea. Beat this game on my 21st run, and fatigue is drawing fast. One of the best rogue likes, but still a little overrated in my opinion.

One cant deny this game is a technical marvel, real *almost* accurate of real world settings and areas. Flying around your home city had my mind blown. Never has a game achieved this feat, props to that. Flying is easy to pickup. hard to master. However, that are most of my pros.. the game is just... boring? Its pretty, i get it, but I think 80% of gamers dont give a dookie about flying, saying that...I just dont think this game will provide a lot of people with longevity. Once the magic wears off of flying around in authentic real world settings, it wears off fast. Also, is no one going to talk about the horrible textures of buildings and street level pixelated graphics, bridges will be missing, cars are a blur and run into each other, i would clip through entire buildings, etc. This game is on gamepass, and thats the rating this game deserves, (unless you are a flying enthusiast). This is a check out on gamepass, wait for sale until 50% off at best for most gamers. Impressive technical achievements, but also disapointing at the same time.

Cons: - No replay value. replay value consists of more combat (backtracking old levels..mostly) , which is the weakest part of the game. Overall great game with its characters and cutscenes carrying it and standard linear fps experience. It took me 15 hours, but I had no desire to go back whatsoever. Liked it didn't love it. Pretty safe and standard survival- horror game, that I feel plays it too safe, it may cater to old RE fans, but at the expense of failing to move the medium forward. More survival than horror. Serviceable overall gameplay, that is let down by uninteresting boss battles, and clunky overall 'feeling', and mechanics. I'm also not a big fan of the one-tone color palette for the majority of the world, Exploring is ok, ultimately is rewarding enough, but feels borrowed from other games, and half- assed, especially the hunting part. The story was fine, minimalistic with a satisfying ending. To end, all mechanics in the game is serviceable, but nothing surprises, or feels "next gen". This game just feels old, is the best way I can describe it. It's fine, but could've and should've been better.

Hitting is harder this year because of improved pitching command because of perfect perfect pitching, and also check swings require skill this year to not swing. Gears tactics has great turn based gameplay, with middling everything else. I enjoy turn based games, and this game takes a lot from xcom, which I enjoyed a lot. The story is ok, although it is minimalistic and straightforward. The game has repetitive game structure and mission design, with 3 core mission design throughout the game (search and rescue, kill everything, and capture and hold the point). However, it does force you to play every class, and use different abilities because of mission modifiers. I would reccomend if you enjoy turn based games, especially if you enjoy xcom...however if youre iffy on turn based games, just know it has minimalistic story and repetitive mission designs that runs well over 20 hours for most. Pros: - Graphics, presentation, themes - Vastly improved combat, great boss fights - good platforming sections - charming story with a great ending So-So: - Side missions, and in general most side content (shards/powerups) are uninteresting and underwhelming/ unrewarding. Cons: - The metroidvania elements in this game aren't very deep, I tried to look through every nook and cranny only to find life and mana powerups, and money 95% of the time. It all ties back to the so-so section... the shards was a wasted opportunity, rarely there, and not very interesting. Will of the wisps is an amazing linear experience, with improved combat, emotional story, and pretty good platforming. The side content and metroidvania elements, however was underwhelming. Score: 8.7/10 Pros: - Main cast is charming and lovable, one of the best last gen has to offer = 10/10 - Combat is enjoyable and you are forced to swap party members around to counter enemies weaknesses, to keep things fresh. - Story is decent, but the overall journey is great - A lot of content here, ranging from 30-50 hours, depending on how much grinding you do So-So - repetitive jrpg nature (self-explanatory) - turn based combat still works better based on the game's mechanic - nothing really new for persona fans except the switch to third person combat (the persona, and skills/mechanics remain the same). Cons: - removal of the confidant system (one of the best features of persona 5) - requests.. or side quests are not fun... a lot of backtracking, and grinding. - story was still great but the ending felt dragged on, making me dread the final jail run. This game sits somewhere between a ok and a good game. And as someone who platinumed borderlands 3 while playing solo, this game just isn't really that deep at all. It's a third person shooter looter, I've personally have never played division or destiny, so I'm basing this game off of borderlands. Gameplay-wise it's more than competent and satisfying, especially when "your build" wipes out droves of enemies. Slaying hordes of enemies gets repetitive, but it's still satisfying. The loot is a mixed bag for me. It's mostly just grinding for mods to suit your playstyle that will lower the time to kill (ttk). At the half way point, you'll probably see all the mods the game has to offer. Oh, and the legendary drop rates in this game is atrocious, I've gotten none from chests, and just 2 from boss drops, and 1 from a side quest.. did half of the side quest, wanted, and beast hunts, ended the final mission at lvl 29... how disappointing. Legendary weapons are also merely just nice skins from guns, imagine the dissapointment from me when the first legendary gun I found, was a shotgun that had the same bone explosion perk, as the same primary shotgun I was using, only it had twice as much ammo, and golem effect tier 3. Speaking of tiers.. imagine my dissapointment half way through, when I was expecting another wave of "new" perks to unlock after a certain point of the game only to realize they're reserved for legendary drops. The story which was also initially interesting, since it had interesting lore and world, evolved into a completely niche and predictable avatar-esque film. The enemy variety also seems like a lot, but they all have the same/similar movesets... aoe, long range, jumping/charge melee, some elemental, etc. To end, a lot of content, but not a lot of depth. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle? Killing enemies remains satisfying throughout, but there just isn't enough depth to the looting, story, and enemies/gameplay to fully recommend at full price. This is a buy when on sale, but only if you enjoy looters like borderlands... it's almost on par with borderlands, but it doesn't do anything better, and does a lot on par or worse.

Good game. Liked it but didn't love it. Fascinating story, let down by gameplay fatigue by the end of the third chapter for me personally, and questionable production values. The story was the best part, and the driving force behind me finishing this. The core gameplay is repetitive, although I felt like the devs did their best to add variety in this world, the core gameplay is still the same throughout. Overall mechanics and graphics are serviceable, but it still feels dated compared to other games. Combat is initially enjoyable, but when that fatigue and repetitiveness hit, it hit hard, and I had to put this game down a couple of times, even though the story hooked me. Combat is basically loot and shoot everything, but make sure it's "defense" is down first with the flashlight. Characters were pretty horror-standard, with barry coming off as pretty cringe. Ending was ok. Seen a lot of Xbox fans praising this game, I think it's decent. This game has potential is what it has. If giving a bigger budget, and more gameplay ambition, it could easily blow up to be a big horror ip.

Good game. A legit stealth game with different options to accomplish any mission. Fun power abilities, and exploration are generally satisfying with collectibles and powerups. Story has an interesting lore, but is overall a pretty straightforward one. I personally found the combat to be clunky, and underwhelming overall, in general just dreaded situations where combat was involved, and would just save cheese and continue my low chaos gameplay. Overall gameplay is fine, but can still feel clunky, and controls sometimes feel imprecise. Game can also feel repetitive, but I think it's the nature of the genre, i also just wished the bonecharms that you get from exploring would've been more than just really minor passive bonuses. In the end, this is a decent- good game, where you'll enjoy it's stealth and magic elements, but I think people will find equal amounts of pro and con's throughout every game element in dishonored 2. -8.0/10

70/100. ok overall game, amazing graphics, but kind of underwhelming for my second attempt at an iconic xbox franchise. Basically a gallery shooter, that at times gets so monotonous, you'll just dread seeing long corridors, because it's the same **** of enemies again and again. There are some quick and infrequent burst of cinematic excitement, and adrenaline, but it quickly goes back to spray and pray. This game shines best during the windflares, and "cinematic" uncharted-like sequences ( like the bike and the mech), but those make up maybe 1/5 of the game. JD is also way more interesting than marcus, he actually has a fun demeanor to him, almost like nathan drake. Game also has a decent pvp, something I can see myself pouring some hours in, not the best, but very serviceable. To end, why wasn't the game more of act 5, and not 2-4? why didn't the game have more of the mech-sequences/ bike sequences/ even the that boss fight that actually has depth (the one where you shoot the generators..second to last?). Why was the majority of the game mind-numbingly boring spray and pray fest. I probably will never understand the gears franchise..

It's an ok game. Ideally, you should play this game on mobile and on the go, because I think I would've enjoyed the game more, as a "distraction" and "time waster". There are some interesting level designs, especially the latter half, but overall the game just feels too "elementary and basic" for me to enjoy fully.. As a mobile game it's decent, as an base game... it's just ok.

Ryse is the definition of mediocre game. Mediocre gameplay and level design, only held together by a somewhat half decent story. There is literally no new gameplay mechanic added in the game after the first hour in a roughly 8 hour game. mash melee, and press a button for a quick get out of trouble spot and execution. Oh, and that's basically the only new moves you learn throughout the game, how the executions play out, also don't worry about missing the color prompts, it barely matters. Graphics, story and cutscenes are decent. everything else... mediocre. Man I dreaded the gameplay sections in this GAME..

GAMES AN 8-9 IF IT RAN PERFECTLY ON **** it didn't. I probably put around around 40 hours in this game, and this game crashed about 35-40 times. I had to constantly quicksave after every little action, so I don't lose any more time.. ( i probably lost about 3-5 hours of total gameplay because of the game randonly crashing). Do not BUY this game on consoles, it's 6 months post launch, and it's straight broken. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the game, the story was straightforward, but it wasn't black and white, and I liked that. The rpg system was pretty good, and the combat was decent and addicting. I loved the presentation, but the whole ending events kind of felt underwhelming, even though I was satisfied with the ending based on my descisions. This game doesn't do anything spectacular, and it's basically an outer worlds, fallout turned into a turn based game. I would definitely say the rpg elements and presentation/themes/ side quests were the best part of the game. Story and combat were decent, while the game is completely broken on consoles. Try on gamepass, you might like it..especially if you like turn based games. DO NOT BUY ON CONSOLES.

Well, this is a disappointing introduction to one of xbox's flagship title. People said, it's a game you need to play during that gen, might be.. but i can still say the story was non-existent, and the characters were all generic gruff military dudes. It's probably a decent shooting gallery *for it's **** i still felt underwhelmed by the overall clunky gameplay and kill everything game design. Not interested in it's multiplayer because of it's uninteresting core gameplay, plus I'm not a fan of pve in any game. Maybe gears isn't for me, who knows? Still 85% sure I would've felt the same way if I played this game back in 2006? w.e

Game's a 6 if you played it *technically for free* on gamepass, because this game should've been free to play. But at 30 bucks, it just ain't worth it. It's just a very underwhelming multiplayer experience, it doesn't really excel at anything, even though it adds the melee twist to the hero genre of multiplayer games like overwatch and paladins. It's serviceable mechanically, it can even be fun at times when your winning... but overall the game feels empty. "Empty" is the best word to describe this game. That's how i feel riding a slow skateboard trying to reach a point, why is there no sprint button? The characters and maps also lack personality. Play this game for a couple of hours, and you've played it all. To end, it's a serviceable, and somewhat underwhelming free to play game.. however as a paid game...avoid. There's not much depth to this game... the online is also only held alive only because of gamepass.
