The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe7
Jun 23, 2024
Fun and rather unusual game, based around the narrator's interaction with the player. Just when you think you have completed it, there is a new twist! 2-3 says worth of fun.

Feb 7, 2024
Absolutely amazing game - not too short/not too long.
It is an open-world/adventure game, where you play as a cat and it's companion. Great story, opportunity to explore the cities, and outstanding graphics.
The only downside are a few bugs - rendering in a couple of places, leading to a game restart. Loading times are also fairly long.
I only wish I played it sooner - can't recommend highly enough!

L.A. Noire8
Dec 15, 2023
Truly fantastic game, reminding of Mafia, but with less shooting and more investigation. Outstanding storyline, with different cases that you're working on eventually coming together into a one elaborate plot. Excellent characters and acting, variety of interesting cases, and a beautiful city. At this point time, however, it is quite outdated as it definitely has a few bugs here and there. Unfortunately, despite being an open world game, we don't get many opportunities to make the most of it.

South Park: The Stick of Truth8

Amazing game; played it after the 'Fractured But Whole'. Similarly, a whole town to explore and interact with, with side quests, main story line, and loads of fun. Combat seemed easier than in the 'Fractured But Whole'.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One8
Dec 15, 2023
The longest of all Sherlock games that I've played (Crimes and Punishments, Awakened, Devil's Daughter) with a variety of side-quests in addition to the main storyline. What is unique about this game is that it is a truly open world one, where you are expected to travel around the city, exploring new areas and finding smaller stories to complete. Note: I wasn't a fan of what they've done to Watson as a character.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened8
Nov 12, 2023
Brilliant storyline, taking you to three unique locations - London, mental hospital in Switzerland, and New Orleans. In comparison to the other Sherlock games I played - Devil's Daughter, and Crimes & Punishments - it feels more complete, with bigger areas to walk around. There is more of an open-world feel to it.

Alan Wake Remastered8
Nov 12, 2023
Definitely outdated when it comes to visuals and gameplay, but overall, an amazing atmosphere, reminding me of oldschool games, such as Manhunt or Max Payne. Brilliant story which kept me wanting to reach the end. Didn't care for fighting (shooting) scenes. At times, laggy.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus9
Oct 18, 2023
I was surprised at how good the game was: beautiful graphics with an actual storyline, which is not always common for shooter games. The story even dives a little into the main protagonist's childhood. The game is quite detailed - NPCs will interact with you, and you will have an ability to move/look around during what is meant to be a cut scene. There are plenty of collectibles, while the weapon choices are, thankfully, not overwhelming. A solid dozen hours of gameplay, with side missions available, as well.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons7
Jul 9, 2023
*7.5* Short game with a nice story, although gameplay is somewhat clunky. You play with two brothers on one joystick, but can do a co-op using one controller. While it may seem as a cheery game at first, it soon becomes darker.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition7
Jun 10, 2023
Having played the 'Shadow' and the 'Rise' games first, this version seems outdated, hence doesn't allow for a very fair comparison. That being said, it still is a good Tomb Raider game with an interesting storyline, and is worth playing on PS4 in 2023. Cons (when comparing with the Rise/Shadow games): - Lack of looting/trading opportunities
- No side missions
- Character movement is less smooth
- Optional tombs are way too easy - No crafting opportunities
- Limited number of skills

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration8
May 15, 2023
Just as 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider', it is a very comprehensive game, with a large map to explore, variety of side missions, weapons to upgrade and an interesting storyline. Great graphics and gameplay; difficult to fault the game. For the fans of Uncharted, this is a must!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider8
Mar 12, 2023
Great story and visuals - my first Tomb Raider game in probably about 15 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Takes a while to complete if you are looking at doing side stories! The only cons are: gets a little repetitive, going around collecting resources - you will probably spend half your gameplay time doing just that. Sometimes the characters' lip movements are out of synch.

A Plague Tale: Innocence0
Feb 12, 2023
After reading the reviews, I was excited to try out this game. It started off quite well, with beautiful graphics and an interesting story unfolding. However, I was shocked at the amount of bugs in it: characters start to speak at the same time, or only 3 minutes after you saw the NPCs - you might already be miles away from them. I tried opening the door, but the character got stuck and had to wait for a couple of minutes before anything happened. What is completely unacceptable however, is the 'black holes' - I've fallen into one where there was supposed to be a water fountain, and couldn't get out. I've then climbed over a fence and was supposed to land on a ground, but instead fell into a massive black hole again where I couldn't get out of. Had to delete this immediately. I just haven't seen so many bugs in a game in ages. Shame really, as it was a promising game.

FIFA 239
Jan 29, 2023
Highly addictive, playing UT every week. Don't get the point of spending cash on FIFA coins/points as you can easily get a good player from the packs. No one's making anyone spend real money on it. Improvement in terms of gameplay from previous FIFA, as it's more based on passing than on pace.

Brilliant game in an interactive drama style, which feels like a breath of fresh air after playing 'Heavy Rain'. Excellent story, which reminds of 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', with beautiful graphics, and an ability to alter the outcome of the game based on your choices in game.

FIFA 228
Jun 2, 2022
An improvement from FIFA 21 in terms of gameplay. Playing 'Seasons' mode every day, so don't get the frustrating experience of those playing UT. The only drawback for me personally is a PSG team, which is unjustifiably OP, meaning (almost) every opponent you play in 'Seasons' mode will be with PSG. If not PSG, then Real (Vini), or Liverpool (Mane/Salah) - proving once more that the key to winning a FIFA game is pace. I do play with friends online, and is a great fun. Did get it for free from PS Plus May games, so can't complain here. Highly addictive.

Heavy Rain7
May 17, 2022
Pros:
- Excellent story, exactly what I was looking for
- Ability to make your own choices, leading to different outcomes, and ultimately to different endings. There is no right or wrong; if you fail, the game just goes on Cons:
- Mechanics/graphics - character movement reminds of something from early 00s. Visually, it's relatively poor, and the game is quite buggy. Controls are ridiculous at times.
- Lack of gameplay - there isn't much gameplay rather than walking and occasionally pressing the buttons which come up on the screen

Overcooked! 28
May 17, 2022
Absolutely brilliant, simply had to play it after completing the first game!
Just as the first instalment, the game is massive fun when played as a couch co-op! Levels are easier though, and there is an additional arcade mode which you can play if you've finished the story mode and want to play more ;)

Mafia: Definitive Edition10
May 1, 2022
*9.5* One of the best games I've played on PS4. Hands down the best of the three Definitive Editions with the most brilliant story and terrific visuals. Absolutely gorgeous city and a gripping storyline. If there is one thing that it could be improved upon, that would be adding free roaming - side missions and interactions with the city and its NPCs - otherwise, there is nothing to do once the game finishes, which feels like such a waste! Outstanding game. I am in absolute awe.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter7
May 1, 2022
Greatly enjoyed the sequel, worthy continuation of Crimes and Punishments. Can also appreciate the extra features the developers have added: more free roaming, situations which require quick reactions, as well as more versatile cases. However, it doesn't have the classic Sherlock feel as the previous game did, with possibly too much dramatisation, and Watson now being an overly appealing character with cool hipster moustache. The ending ruined it for me, though. That being said, still a great game; if you enjoyed Crimes and Punishments, I highly recommend this one to you.

This is a fantastic game, one of the really good ones to play for two people. Visually astonishing, this is a very unique platformer. Have managed to complete it in one go on a lazy Saturday - highly recommend as a 'couples game'. An improvement from the first game, in my opinion.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments8
Apr 4, 2022
Surprisingly, I absolutely loved it. A fantastic chance to explore Victorian London, whilst solving crimes.
I've played quite a few mystery games from PlayStore, and Crimes and Punishments feels like one on steroids. Beautiful graphics and a nice gameplay, overall. No feel of repetitiveness, with cases being quite different from one another.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole8
Apr 4, 2022
As a South Park fan, I greatly enjoyed it - the ability to go anywhere in South Park: exploring the school, Tom's Rhinoplasty and so on, with loads of characters to interact with. It does get a bit boring towards the end, as you realise a lot of things repeat themselves: combat and picking up loot over and over and over again. Overall, however, a great game. Lots of fun, with side missions, and a must for all South Park fans!

Mafia II: Definitive Edition8
Mar 13, 2022
*7.5* Was excited about this game as I've never had a chance to play Mafia II when it was released for PC ages ago. Truth be told, I absolutely loved this game. Whilst I can't compare the definitive edition with the original, I must say I greatly enjoyed it. Amazing story, much more superior to the one in Mafia III. There definitely are some bugs which need improving though:
Sound: volume goes up and down constantly
Glitches: mission 'Warn Leo' is buggy - lots of people are experiencing this
Other bugs: objects like buildings turn into 'blue screen' for a second Combat: whilst not a bug, the combat system is ridiculous for this decade Despite a few bugs/gameplay issues, it was a much more enjoyable gaming experience than Mafia III.
Strong 7.5 stars for me.

Mafia III7
Mar 8, 2022
*6.5* An outstanding atmosphere of a big beautiful city, filled with classic cars and some of the best songs of the past on the radio. Though it didn't have a classic 'Mafia' feel with the story centred around black character, it did make sense and was told in an interesting way: from a documentary perspective. Unfortunately, the whole experience was undermined by repetitive missions - destroying cars/crates, killing or interrogating for hours and hours straight. Shocking, as it felt like doing side missions all the time.

MotoGP 194
Jan 16, 2022
Bought the game from PS Store due to a massive price reduction, however deleted the game only after an hour. For someone unfamiliar with moto racing games, controls were extremely difficult, and I ended up falling from the bike every 10 seconds. As moto racing is not as straightforward as your average Need for Speed, I would have expected some tutorial at the very least. Not only was it missing, but I had to figure out the controls myself. Huge disappointment.

The Last of Us Remastered9
Dec 11, 2021
Great game, and unlike most zombie shooters, this one is actually well thought through, centred around stealth, survival, and a beautiful storyline. I can easily understand all the rave about Last Of Us, as it truly is a beautiful game, with a great deal of attention having been put into details. While I'm very much fond of it, and looking forward to playing the second chapter, I don't believe it measures to the likes of GTA or RDR, hence not the perfect score.

Surprisingly, a lot of fun with the variety of different levels, challenges, characters, and bosses. For a 2D platformer, it's an outstanding game, but most importantly, one of the best things to play for two people. Took my partner and I a good few days to complete it, and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
