To be fair, I havent finished the game 100%. I have played 7 hours into it and I have noticed a few problems, The enemy A.I. is very unbalanced in some battles. You will encounter many instant deaths and have to start over from your last save--the game does not auto save. There is entirely too much reading involved in this game, even though it is fully voiced-you will grow tired of the stupidity very quickly and you will be skipping through everything except the battles, which brings me to my next problem, it seems there is always one enemy just out of reach during battles and of course its usually the strongest of the group so you get **** punched and lose a lot of HP before you ever throw the first punch. Of course later in the game you will encounter monsters who will kill your entire team with one strike and yes this happens a couple of times within the first two hours of gameplay. Now you are wondering why I gave it a 7? well, when I'm not skipping stupid conversations about eating pudding and getting killed by one strike and having to start over from my last save, the game is fun, great artwork, controls are responsive and the voice work is better than average. Overall, buy it on sale, open your mind, grit your teeth and give it a try.

This game is very addictive and at times frustrating, I would definitely recommend playing the tutorial (if this is your first tropico experience), Once you jump into the game there is a myriad of ways to build your island paradise and govern your people, and more options open up through research. There are a few issues that annoy me: the menu screens are confusing, the music gets tiresome, and it takes years to research some necessities (tanks, embassies, and dry docks) you're literally an hour into a scenario before these become available. Also the road construction is tedious in some areas and the battles seem like random luck. But otherwise, I'm loving this game and recommend it to anyone who's into sims.

This years edition of WWE2k is an improvement over last year but it also has issues. The Showcases are gone and my career mode has been expanded to include promos. The creation modes are superb and expanded to include create a video for entrances. The roster is huge and thanks to the improved VC system it is easier than ever to purchase all the wrestlers, arenas, titles in the VC shop. Now for the bad: long load times between matches, opening show videos that cant be skipped when in My Career mode, very repetitive commentary, massive amounts of slow down during matches between created wrestlers, frequent frame rate drops, and very frustrating submission/chain wrestling. While I could overlook the annoying show videos and commentary, I cannot overlook the other problems and it really does affect the excitement during competitive matches with friends. Did I mention the referee is always in front of the camera during matches totally obstructing your view? well, he is. Overall, if you enjoy this series then you'll find much to love with the improvements but be aware that it is not perfect and if you don't like the series then don't bother with this years edition. My low score is reflective of the bad things I discussed but I am currently playing the sh%t out of this game and having much fun--in between the two minute load screens and the unskippable opening show videos.

This game is definitely a gravure fanfest. The various mini games are fun, the graphics however are awful everywhere except the casino. The photographing is so pixelated that theres no reason to even bother with it. DOA Paradise is essentially the same game as DOA Extreme 2 from the Xbox 360 without the water jet racing. There is no real challenge here if you just buy a girl a new bikini every other day and play volleyball once a day, you'll eventually unlock everything. The pole dancer video is unlocked by collecting 99 percent of the the girls venus clips which will unlock christies slot machine and from there you just need to hit jackpot. This is basically a dumbed down port of the Xbocx 360 game and features nothing new.

This is more an informative over view than a review, I've only spent a small amount of time with game so far but its not total crap. First of all, it does contain a tutorial (play the single player mode first and it will guide you through a tutorial. Secondly, the graphics and sound are atrocious for this generation. Third, this is not minecraft so the building, upgrading takes time (just like real life) yes you must scavenge for items but they are not difficult to find. the controls are difficult to adjust to and the fighting is harder than most games. I got killed by a bear my first playthrough and honestly I felt like I had no chance of survival.I can see lots of potential here and I like the creative aspects. I can't say the game is perfect because it is not but with a little patience and fair minded gameplay it is worth a look. If your looking for a scary minecraft or a five star horror blockbuster than you'll hate it. It is essentially a work in progress at this point.

This game is difficult, and extremely challenging. Its premise is simple: you maneuver a track in a 360 degree range of motion in an effort to get a rolling ball from start to finish. the only control over the ball you have is the ability to slow down by using using the brake. At first glance it seems like the classic Super monkey ball games but it is nothing like those and it requires much patience. I have enjoyed the challenge, the backgrounds are picturesque, the very basic controls work well and each track is radically different from the last. I gave it a 7 due to the extreme challenge and unrealistic time requirements to achieve a gold rank. Seriously, some of the tracks took me three minutes to complete and a gold ranking required completion in 18 seconds. overall its worth a look if you enjoy puzzle/strategy games but it is definitely not for everyone.

I was a little late purchasing Forza 6, though I love the series I just never got around to buying the sixth installment till recently. This game is gorgeous, and lots of fun with over 400 cars, tons of tracks and almost everything is adjustable/customizable. The game itself is not perfect as there seems to be unbalanced difficulty with some drivatars, and when racing in the rain the puddles cause massive sliding and temporary loss of control. One big gripe that I have is the mandatory tutorials and the videos (which are well done) but unskippable. Microtransactions return here just like in Forza 5. Overall this is the definitive racer on Xbox One currently (far surpassing Project cars) and if you don't mind shelling out an extra $20 bucks the Nascar add-on is fantastic.

First off, My opinion of this game is based on the single player campaign. I have zero interest in online multiplayer--mainly because I'm an older gamer and I just don't have several hours a day to play. With that said, this game is beautiful, fast, violent and fun. I've had no issues with the controls as they seem typical to any other FPS. The soundtrack is fantastic and the ambient sounds are creepy. The enemy A.I. is super smart and the enemies will come after you. In order to survive this hellish nightmare you must run and gun, if you stand still--you will die. There is no time for strategy or memorizing enemy routines. Almost everything in the game can be upgraded in various ways (which is great for me). One point to keep in mind if your considering this game: it requires patience, you will die often regardless of your skills with other FPS games, luckily there are checkpoints scattered about. This game is more akin to the original Doom so it is nothing like Doom 3 (which some people have complained about) and has replay value (due to all the collectibles and trials) but once you've had your fill of the main Campaign sadly there is little left. In conclusion, if you are a COD, Destiny, Halo, or Battlefield fan then you will probably hate this game due the intensity and hardcore nature of this beast. Its basically a Run like Hell - kill anything that moves - don't stop running until the end credits roll, type of game that shows you no mercy--ever. Definitely a bloody good time while it lasts.

First off, this game is fun in multiplayer but it loses it's fun factor during solo gameplay. There really is not much of a tutorial and it takes a few hours of gameplay to finally get the hang of the controls-which for many players will be agonizing. This game is nothing similar to the Borderland series, The graphics are exceptional and sound is above average but the characters quips during battle get repetitive and stale after a few chapters. Skills can be upgraded in real time during battle, all characters have multiple skins which can be unlocked during gameplay and you can create your own loadouts to make your character a little more personal. One thing I noticed more than once during gameplay is that the larger characters (El Dragon, Montana) tend to stick to walls if you get close. Overall, I like the game but it is far from perfect and definitely not Borderlands style fun. Maybe try the demo before purchasing.

This is really not a bad game if you like the classic hack 'n slash style games. It does fall short in several areas though: 1. the comic strip scenes get old very quickly and you will find yourself skipping them. 2. the controls are simple but its often difficult to focus your attack on the proper zombie if there's multiple characters on screen. 3. the music is very nerve grating after 10 seconds. there really is a long list of faults here but if you judge it based on its very low budget price, turn off the sound and skip the comic scenes then you may just enjoy it--for a short while but you'll probably never play it again after the first time.

This is a huge game that seems like it will go on forever but in reality, there is not much depth, the graphics are subpar for this generation and the controls (imo) feel awkward. The sound is phenomenal, the cut scenes are nice and at first the scavenging is fun. But as you play you start to notice graphical glitches, your character continually gets stuck to almost everything you get close too and that damn dog is annoying during gunfights. I really like this series, I like this game but it is far from perfect and certainly does not deserve a score above 7 but on the other hand, it doesn't deserve a zero either. After WWE2K15 I gave up on this franchise, I traded hate emails with 2K staff and swore I'd never buy this series again. After learning that most of the creation modes were put back in the game, the chain wrestling has been scaled back and redone, I decided to buy this game. The graphics have improved tremendously, the commentary is a bit better (not perfect but less repetitive) and the roster is huge. The game boasts over 100 playable characters and you can create up to 1oo more (yes even diva creation is back). All is not perfect despite the vast improvements. the game features absurdly long loading times, wrestlers look great walking to the ring but once the match starts--some look almost like a different person, and because the game is more simulation than arcade--the controls may feel sluggish to some, but all this aside this is the best WWE game Since the PS2 era (IMO). You start out as a virus, bacteria, etc and mutate in order to spread throughout the world. You can be relatively harmless, contagious and try to infect the world without much notice or you can start out deadly, infectious and race against the governments cure efforts. It is very addictive (pardon the pun) but thrillseeker's (fps crowd) will not like it because there is no real action. There is no real tutorial, it gets very repetitive after about ten bridges and I definitely had to mute the sound -- as soon as the game loaded up, it only took about ten seconds to know I did not want to hear the game music. Overall, its hard to not recommend this fantastic package but be forewarned that the first ten games are just awful and the remaing twenty range from decent to great--depending on personal preference. submerged is a very tranquil game, with one simple premise: explore. The climbing mechanics are very simple and work extremely well, the music is also done very well. The problem is this: the game gets boring after about fifteen minutes, the graphics are subpar for either the PS4 or Xbox one, and most of the time you are wandering around on a boat, looking through a scope and hoping that you'll locate something of interest (which you never really do) and once you locate anything it will be at the top of a tall building. On occasion while floating along, you'll find upgrades for your boat that never really add anything. The premise is simple enough: shoot marbles into a moving chain and match three of the same color, try to combo for higher scores. Each level takes roughly 3 to 4 minutes to beat early on but around level 15 the difficulty ramps up with faster chains and more marbles in each chain. I am not a fan of Assassins creed, I admit I liked 3 a little, I even wanted to like Black flag but I couldn't, yeah I'm sorry guys I know you all loved it. My point is this: this is not a typical Assassins creed game. This is a fantastic platformer with a decent story, good graphics and very good controls that suffice so much that even the worst gamer will succeed with little effort. The puzzles are well thought out, and the levels are designed well. I did not like the cheesy cutscenes, and at some points in the game it seems nearly impossible to sneak past all the gaurds without being seen, this of course makes it seem impossible to get the best rating for that particular section and the fighting is just awful so you'll want to be sneaky. but some players may see this as a challenge rather than a lesson in aggravation and cheap design. Overall though, this is a great platformer and a must buy for fans of the genre. It is not recommended for fans of the Assassins creed series as it bears no resemblance to other titles in the series. Definitely a must buy once you finish the awesome Ori and the blind forest game. My score is reflective of the awful, limited fight mechanics, the awful cutscenes, and some very questionable level designs later in the game.

If you have DOA5 on the last gen systems, there really is no need to buy this, just upgrade the version you already have. The game is fast and furious and very fun but I can't see much difference graphically between the older PS3 version and The Xbox One version. I know there are problems with the game crashing but in all honesty, I haven't had this problem (I rarely play online, that seems to be were the most problems start) but I have noticed the game will freeze up at times, also some of the challenges (in the training section) were automatically completed without me doing anything, and finally I've had issues with the controls (again this was in the training section) where I just mash buttons rapidly and regardless of the on screen prompts--I got a success and completion of the challenge. So there are problems with the game, whether its the controls, the crashes or game freezes it is in dire need of an update patch asap. Still it is fun, when it works, and at $40 it is priced reasonably so pick it up if you don't already have a previous version. Oh one more thing...currently the online matchmaking does not work, at least for me.

D.A: Inquisition, tries hard to be a great game but it suffers from several flaws: I constantly stuck to walls/rocks during frenzied combat, constant blind spots during combat (graphical clipping), and despite a clean U.I its very confusing to simply find your world map. The facial animations/graphics are superb and the action is fast and furious but the story itself feels as though it was written by a fourth grader. The controls take at least three hours to adjust to, and the scenery graphics tend to be bland up close. For example when one of your team members die in battle it is often hard to see them on the battlefield because they tend to blend in with the scenery. This is not a bad, its actually enjoyable once your six hours into it but it is by no means great, and honestly its not much better than Dragon Age II. Destiny is a fun sci-fi FPS (not an MMO) with great graphics and an incredible soundtrack. It would seem that some of these reviews are written by people who have only played the first level. The game gets better as it goes along. Yes, the first two levels are literally the same map, same enemies, only difference: you enter a different building the second time around and have a mild boss fight at the end of level 2. This is not the case for the entire game, but instead a way to familiarize the player with controls (which are silky smooth), set the tone for the story (yes, there is a story here), and guide you through the inventory/leveling system. In short, the first two levels are (IMO) a tutorial for players. The game is far from perfect however, the loads times are way too long, the character creation is very limited, the character leveling is linear and doesn't really feel like it makes much difference in gun battles and overall the game just feels like its missing something. Its definitely not a Halo killer and honestly it will be forgotten when the next Call of Duty arrives. The game is not bad, its just not exceptional and it was grossly overrated. But its fun and I've enjoyed it, and I would recommend it. Just be aware THIS IS NOT AN MMO.

This game is far from perfect, but it is addicting, and requires careful shot planning strategies. There are no celebrities, no shot meters, no loading screens between shots, and no options that will aid newbies. This is straightforward golf, and I love it. The game comes packed with 22 courses, plus thousands of user created courses (when online). The graphics are last gen, but the controls feel almost perfect, I also like the commentary which is more "laid back" and less condescending but there are features that are missing, there is no variety in weather, no wind or rain (HB studios says this will added in future update). The online play does tend to stutter and suffers from slight lag, and there are issues with the friend list component. But I rarely play online competitively so this doesn't affect my playtime. I feel the game should've had a lower price as it is "bare bones" but overall I'm happy with it. Word of warning though: This is NOT a Tiger Woods quality game and it is NOT arcadey like Hotshots golf / Powerstar golf. I recommend checking out the demo and maybe buying it after the update patch that releases in mid September.

Valiant Hearts is a beautifully drawn game, whose story is based loosely on events from WWI. In theory its a great idea but somehow the game feels like something a child would play in elementary school as a teaching program. Everything about this game is juvenile, its music (reminiscent of early learning cartoons), its controls and puzzles (are reminiscent of ****). It is a fantastic game for five year olds but simply will not appeal very long to anyone else. The game overall is solid, no major problems whatsoever but it is just too child-like for me personally. I gave it a six because it is a beautiful game, but it is way too simplistic in its execution.

I love this game, its fast and furious and more importantly its fun. So now your wondering about my score?? simple: the game is not engrossing or deep. its absolutely great for an hour but probably won't keep your attention any longer. The graphics are beautiful and the controls are nearly perfect and overall the sound fits nicely. try the free demo first--strider is Metroid style niche game and its playthrough time is very--very short.

I am not a fan of IOS games, I never play on a smart phone or tablet. That said, this is angry birds, its published by Activision so of course its overpriced, and lets face it, there is only so many ways to variate birds crashing into pigs no matter what platform your playing on. As a 3DS title, the graphics are sharp and very good, the controls are very simple and comfortable, the sound is decent. I've played through about 22 levels so far and it is fun for a short while, like most Angry Birds it doesn't hold your interest for hours and hours. I've read other reviews that claim its too short or doesn't contain enough levels but I feel its appropriate (for me anyway). I bought this on sale, my advice is wait for a price drop or buy it used at gamestop. Don't pay full price because you can always play it for free on your phone. My low score is reflective of cutscenes and the simple fact that it is overpriced at retail and honestly its very limited and linear.

Motorbike, is very frustrating, poor graphics, bad music, and after you complete the first three tracks, the game gets extremely difficult. Controller smashing difficult. I've played through 20 levels so far and its just ridiculous, don't waste your money.

I was never a fan of Assassins Creed, until 3 came out. Liberation of course, released along the same time as a Vita exclusive. Its important to remember this. The graphics are a little disappointing but the gameplay is tight, the voicework/sound is good and the game is fun. If you are a fan of Assassins creed then you'll love this game, but if you are expecting anything similar to Black Flag then you will be disappointed. Remember the timeline, this game released over a year before Black Flag and it is noticeable graphically.

There is nothing really wrong with this game, other than the fact its a quick cash grab for Nintendo. If you like retro Nintendo than by all means throw your money into it, if you don't like retro Nintendo then run as fast as you can away from this.

I'm a little late to this party, ZombiU released a year ago, but in the very limited world of the Wii-U titles, its still a good option. The game features grainy graphics (ala Silent Hill) and complex controls that will drive you insane the first hour or so that you try to play. When I first loaded the game up, I said WTF?? these controls ****, but you will adjust eventually. The difficulty is brutal, you will die, and when you do you will play as a different survivor and your first task is finding your old character, who is now a zombie and killing him to loot your supplies back (original idea, gets old later on in the game). The story is absurd, but that survival horror feeling is strong and the game is very creepy. There is no run and gun (ala COD zombie modes) and there isn't much action (ala resident Evil). You must conserve your ammo, use melee attacks often and run for dear life. There really isn't another game on the market like ZombiU so there's nothing to compare it to. A close comparison might be a combination of the games "I am Alive" and "Amy", but much better than either of those two. For me, this was one the first games I picked up after purchasing a Wii-U, I'm too old for Super Mario part 6000 or another clusterphuked rehash of Zelda. I like Adult games and ZombiU, despite its flaws is very adult. My low score is reflective of the poorly designed controls.

This is a long satisfying RPG that slowly grabs hold of you and never lets go. The characters are interesting, the story is interesting, the graphics are good, and the controls are super easy to learn. At first I was dumbfounded by the battle system (this is my first "tales of" experience) but I quickly got the hang of it and now its second nature. I honestly cant remember enjoying a RPG this much since the PSone glory days. you choose between one of two characters to play as and each character lives the story from a different view, so you essentially get a different playthrough the second time around. I gave this game a 9 because I'm not a fan of constant grinding to level up in preparation for a boss fight but the battle system here alleviates a ton of the frustration, also the some of the character development options in the menu system are very confusing. I was twenty hours into the game before I realized several powerful moves had been unlocked for my characters to use in battle.Overall its a great game and definitely worth the money.

WWE 2k14 has a lot of content, huge roster, tons of unlockables, and DLC. This a wrestling fans wet dream, until that fan actually plays it. The AI consistently reverses every attack, performs miraculous comebacks (even in critical health), 3o years of wrestlemania is plagued with QTE's which sacrifices fun for authenticity and several of the matches require you to perform mystery tasks to get the unlockables. The controls are simple and intuitive so anyone can be playing like a pro in ten minutes, the graphics are improved everywhere except the created characters, they still don't look anywhere near as good as the game characters. The announcers seem to be a few seconds behind of the action and at times a few seconds ahead. They also repeat the same phrases constantly, in all fairness I'm sure that getting commentary to synch up with action is a daunting task. I read one of the professional reviews and it said "tone down the AI with the sliders in settings and play the game on easy" I agree with that sentiment, otherwise this is a huge aggravation. The streak mode is pure punishment as the game ramps up the difficulty to extreme levels (regardless of your settings). In short, this game is awesome if you liked WWE 2013, or if your a pro-wrestling fan. If your not a fan then this game is not for you. The Creation modes are freaking huge, you can create just about everything even how many monitors you have during your entrance and what is shown on each monitor. The online is fast and fluent, I haven't had any problems yet. I waited for months to buy this game and even though I mostly do online and play with the creation modes (which are both good) I still feel the game could've been better, maybe some of the issues will be addressed with a future patch.

Okay, I admit it, a fighting game comprised with top heavy, scantily clad females did catch my attention. Unfortunately, this game lacks a lot of everything. the controls are fairly simple: punch, kick, grab, block, and L1/R1 for the psy amps. it doesn't feel simple when your actually playing, and jumping, crouching requires pressing two buttons at once (seriously). It gets confusing. Luckily the AI is very easy, just punch continuously, don't bother with blocks and in ten minutes you'll clear arcade mode. I literally played through with one hand. The graphics are really good at times and at other times they are ps2 era, I don't know why, the unlockable artwork looks ps1, the unlockable outfits are basically just color pallet swaps and lack any "sex appeal". The frame-rate tends to stutter, I think it was intended to add effect but it gets annoying. Collision detection is weak, sometimes your opponent walks through punches and knocks you on your butt, and the announcer is annoying. Its not all bad, the music is good, the story is interesting, the backgrounds are good. but it doesn't compare to any fighter on the market today. It reminds me of the crappy Tekken clones Konami released on the ps1 back in the 90's. If your interested then definitely try the demo first. Don't just rush and buy it blindly like I did.

Kickbeat is definitely a unique game, the graphics are good, the controls are good, and overall its a fine game. My beef is the extremely unforgiving difficulty. The game requires a ton of practice before you can even complete the first song. The tutorial is in-depth but it just doesn't prepare you for the brutal butt kicking you get when you try the story mode the first time. Its extremely aggravating. I love Zen Studio, they created awesome pinball games, and mini golf games but they ramped up the difficulty a bit too much for beginners in Kickbeat. I give it a 6 because of difficulty, but if your willing to put in the practice and you have a ton of patience, then you'll find much to like in Kickbeat.

DOA 5: Ultimate is a Must buy for DOA diehard fans but if you stopped playing 5 several months ago then you'll be wasting your time with Ultimate. It does have some benefits for those interested (like me of course) your DOA 5 game save carries over to Ultimate, as does any DLC you've purchased and all of your unlockables and titles. I love being able to go back and watch the videos from story mode, I like the new outfits that are unlockable and I just love DOA (the entire series) so I may be partially biased. The fighting feels slightly smoother to me, I haven't had an issues online although I've only done a few battles so far and the graphics are gorgeous (I can't see any improvement over 5 though). The new tutorial and training is great for newbies and the music options are a nice touch. Overall this is the definitive version of DOA 5 but its not gonna win you over if you hated the first game last year. I highly recommend it for fans of the series. I'd also like to add this tidbit: If you have the free DOA 5 Ultimate: Core fighters game and your planning to upgrade to the full version, don't waste your money on any of the DLC until after you upgrade because most of the "core fighters" DLC is included in the premium upgrade and you'll end up paying for something you already have.

This game is much better than some of these children are rating it. I never played the PC version but the PS3 version sports great graphics, controls and the sound is well above average. I love being able to play offline, solo. The menu setup is a bit aggravating, there is a small amount of slowdown on rare occasions. I don't care about the PC online auction houses being absent, I don't usually play online anyway. This game should be rated an 8 but I gave it a 10 just because of the idiots with multiple accounts dragging down the score. They can bite me.

Metro Last Light is heavily focused on a great story, great controls, and above average graphics. I wasn't expecting much from this game but it turned out to be one of my favorite games so far this year. I give it an 8 because in the beginning the story is slow, drawn out, and a bit boring. After about the two hour mark this game gets really good. Some people may be put off by the slow start. Its also very linear which may put off many FPS fans. I also felt limited with weapons until midway through the game, but overall I think this is much better than Bioshock Infinite just not as pretty. Give it a try.

This is an amazing game, if you got three friends to play it with. If you play mainly solo then you won't get far unless you focus on being a technician and doing everything yourself while the AI provides adequate cover, which is very hard and **** game itself is fine, the graphics are better than I expected but certainly not award winning. The controls I found to be perfect, I know others have complained but I had no problems at all. The sound is good for this type game even the voiceovers are nicely done. The **** system is fantastic, it allows you to choose your next heist and gives you full details on difficulty, payout, etc. I really am not impressed with the skill tree system or the weapon modifications because the skill tree doesn't seem to add much until you get to at least level 20 and the weapons and mods are brutally expensive and only unlock at higher levels which will limit most players from ever obtaining them. Overall I recommend this game to all fans of FPS, if you got internet or three friends to play with, then this game is huge fun. If your playing alone then you'll need tons of patience and lots of luck.
