Quite a surprise I got with this game, I bought it on sale not expecting much, I assumed it was a low budget third person linear game. But soon I realized it was different, yes it is mostly linear, but the puzzles to move forward, are clever, combat while not very difficult is fun and is actually a feast to the eyes. But what is really great about this game is the script/story and the acting, it is top notch, and the actress that played Senua wow she should get an award. It is not very common to get mature adult stories in videogames that rival the best fiction books, but this game is way up there. The game also looks great. If you like deep stories with good gameplay this game is for you. It does not get a ten because the combat could be improved a little to make the game better.

This is the best AC I have played.. I was very skeptic about purchasing it because I had played Odyssey and I didn’t enjoy it much. I particularly hated the leveling up grinding and the poor story. I didn’t even care for the protagonist and her/his attitude of I don’t give a **** one day I kill Spartans and the other I kill Athenians...Valhalla remedies both, I haven’t experienced any level gating grinding and the protagonist does care about what he is actually doing.. It is a huge improvement from the past AC game. I have to update my review, the game overstayed its welcome, beware that it is a never ending game. I actually quit out of boredom (after 80 hours of gameplay and realizing that I wasn´t even close to getting to the end of the story), games need to have a conclusion and this one seems to not understand that. It is like a 1000 page book, that you enjoy for the first 500, slug through the next 300 because you actually want to read the conclusion, but you finally quit because it becomes tedious and repetitive, and you want to eventually read other books in your collection...

Many complain about the inventory management and about Bullet management, I think it is actually one of the best parts of the game. The people that complain do not understand what a survival horror game is about. The clunky controls, hard inventory management, slow moving characters and enemies that are Bullet sponges are all there to create tension, to actually make you worried and tense about the next part of the game. Bottom line if you are old school, tank control Resident Evil fan you will certainly enjoy this game

Good story and fun, but it controls terrible, so bad that I quit (the only game I remember that I stopped playing due to poor and frustrating controls) its terrible controls are with both the dual shock and with the move controllers, with dual shock even climbing a ladder becomes almost impossible. With the move controllers trying to equip and unequip the machine gun is frustrating and the VR constantly has to be recalibrated, and it is not my VR setting because I can perfectly play Beat Saber, Creed, but somehow this crappy game doesn’t work...

I don’t understand the bad reviews. It is a good game. It brings back that old survival horror vibe, just like the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Some people complain about that Capcom cut portions of the original some Clock Tower or something, I guess they did but the game is still fun. Not as much puzzles as the previous RE2 but there are a lot of going back and forth looking for keys, it took me 12 hours to beat the game on hardcore difficulty which I found ok.. What disappointed me is that most encounters with Nemesis are actually unplayable cutscenes, and also him evolving into sone kind of alien looking creature took away any kind of tension from it.

Don’t understand the bad reviews it is a good game. I guess most of the bad reviews come from die hard old school RE fans (that behave like the obnoxious Star Wars fans that complain about every decision), So if you are not a die hard RE fan this game is fun and enjoyable, and it is not 3 hours long... its is at least 8-10 hours long. I did play old RE games and remember enjoying them a lot, this game while not as good as last’s years RE2 or RE7 still feels like an RE game, you have to check maps, pick keys, solve ocassional puzzles.. It is a good game and Capcom is now selling a combo that includes RE2

I don’t understand why RE4 gets great reviews and RE6 gets negative reviews, it is basically the same game only bigger, splashier with better controls and better graphics. Yes RE6 is not a survival horror game don’t expect to solve puzzles, be scared or have to think at all, it is an action game, but a very fun action game as fun as RE4 was at least. I love classic RE games, they are superior in every way, but I would still recommend getting this one to play it whenever you fill like you need a rest and only want to enjoy blasting away thousands of zombies and you can play local coop it is crazy fun

If you want insta kills for every mistake you make this game is for you. I like stealth games and puzzle games but I do not enjoy getting killed everytime I make even a small mistake, also I really don´t like games where your character cannot defend itself. There are plenty of instances where you kill an enemy that has a sword with him, why doesn´t your character pick that sword up, you are being chased and people want to kill you on every turn, perhaps having a sword with you could be a good idea don´t you think, (the same example with a bow, or an ax etc) but your character prefers to pick up rocks **** could pick up both you know... Overall an ok game, very linear (it could be good or bad depending on your tastes), it plays similar in style to Tomb Raider without the platforming or shooting, and with a lot easier puzzles.. One other thing the boy Hugo is annoying as hell so be advised that you´ll hear his annoying complaining a lot... This game has potential I would reallly like a sequel where your character could fight if spotted, without an annoying kid, and tougher puzzles, and maybe add platforming sequences..

Metal Gear games, were the pinnacle of stealth games (they actually invented the genre). The stories were great, B level action movies, with lots of twists and great boss fights. But unfortunately the game controls haven´t aged well. In MGS2 you cannot control the camera (a staple in today´s 3rd person games), Snake controls terrible, he is clunky, he can´t crawl and the shooting mechanic is terribly implemented. In MGS3 at least you can control the camera, but Snake still controls terrible, he still can´t crawl and the shooting mechanic is still very bad. I don´t know why they didn´t update the controls in this HD release, to resemble modern 3rd person shooting games, or at least offer to customize the control. After playing these classic games, I realized how dated they are, and actually felt sad, because most modern gamers (my son included) may miss out on great games because of the clunky controls. Metal Gear Games really need a remake with the Fox Engine (Konami would make millions if it ever did that). MGS V plays very very smooth compared to these ones. So I can only recommend this HD collection to old school players, that played the old Metal Gear games. New gamers used to smoother controls like the ones found in Uncharted or Tomb Raider, or Resident Evil 2 Remake will really feel that these games control terribly bad, and would probably quit after the first 10 minutes.

The best Resident Evil game in the last decade, it clearly was built as an homage to the original, it is a 3rd person game but it truly is survival horror (low ammo, inventory management, puzzles and backtracking). I had a blast on the first run (I played as Leon) i would have loved the campaign to last 2-3 hours more. I knock off two points for the simple reason that the 2nd Campaign (in my case Claire) was almost identical to the 1st, I really thought that the story would be more different, and that I would visit different parts of RPD solving different puzzles (I wanted to see what happened at the other side of the fence, you´ll understand when you play it) . I also did not care for the DLCs that CAPCOM delivered even if they were for free, they were just mindless run & shoot games (and the game is not designed for that type of play, so they feel clumsy), I played them once, was not impressed and have not played them again. But stil I would really recommend this game to everyone.

Great single player 3rd person action/horror game.. i usually don´t care for open world games, but this one strikes a good balance between open world and linear levels. If you like games like Resident Evil 2 remake or The Last of US, you are going to enjoy this game, it falls right between the two of them. Some people complain because of that, but what is wrong in getting a game that wants to emulate two of the best games ever (Resident Evil and the Last of Us)... The other good thing about this game NO MICROTRANSACTIONS. And for all the people that played the Evil Within 1 and didn´t care much for it, give this sequel a chance I believe it improves on everything from the 1st.
