The Evil Within is a dark and twisted survival horror masterpiece! Everything from the dark and grimy environments to the evil and twisted looking enemies fills you with a sense of dread. This sense of dread is soon replace by a nail biting sense of tension every time a group of enemies enter the room, as you frantically check your ammo supply and ask yourself "do I have enough to make it through this?" If you are a fan of horror, and or love Shinji Mikami's previous work then go pick yourself up a copy of Evil Within ASAP!

Absolutely loved this game! After finishing the first one and having mixed feelings about the gameplay but loving the world and story I decided to did deeper into the world. After, doing so I cannot begin to tell you how in love I fell with not only Lords of Shadow 2, and the first one having played it again, I fell in love with this universe as a whole! Everything from the characters to the atmosphere and the lore is breathtaking to me! Its amazing that it took me this long to realize how special this series is and I hope they continue to make games in this series because it is truly something that has a special place in my heart!

Improves upon the main game in almost every possible way! It will give you closer by completing the story in a satisfying fashion and will give you chills by delivering the darkest gaming experience you are likely to every have!

Killzone Shadow Fall is a game that boasts breathtaking visuals and a story that seeks to do the same but ultimately falls a little flat! When the game begins you immediately notice the gorgeous attention to detail, everything all the way down to wrinkles on characters faces looks crazy good! It is in the opening moments that the story grabs you emotionally but sadly it does not recapture that sense of emotion with a few brief instances throughout the campaign being exceptions! The story becomes very hard to stay invested in towards the middle, however if you stick with it to the end you will be glad you did and you will even be treated to some fairly good multiplayer afterwards! Killzone: Shadow Fall is a good but not great game that definitely deserves the attention of any PS4 owner who enjoys good sci-fi!

What was already an amazing game is made even more amazing with the addition of enhanced graphic and the inclusion of all of its DLC! Also very impressive was the inclusion of new pathways through levels and some new camera angles! Watch Dogs is without a doubt a game that will be talked about for a very long time! "The game that defines next-gen" was the slogan Ubisoft used when selling Watch Dogs and they weren't far off of that statement! Whether you are exploring the beautifully detailed world, taking part in one of the varied story missions or saving an innocent man from the hands of those who mean him harm everything feels extremely well done! The story is consistently interesting and never really has a dull moment, you will be asking yourself the questions "who?" and "why?" all the way up until those final credits roll! The only thing that took me out of the experience was the steep learning curve when it came to the driving, at first it feels very unresponsive which isn't very fitting seeing as they make Aiden out to be "the best driver in Chicago". However, you will quickly learn to maneuver with skill while driving and this is what bring me to my favorite part of Watch Dogs! You constantly feel yourself getting better! After every mission you complete you will feel yourself becoming a faster hacker, a better shot or just more smooth operator! It is this sense of progression that made Watch Dogs great for me, and along with a great story as well as an impressive showing of the PS4's power make this what will surely be an instant classic!

Thief is the first truly unremarkable game that I've played on my next generation console. There are things to like about this game, such as the way the story is told. People have said that this game reminds them of Dishonored and in that regard I have to say that the story here is told in a much more slick and engaging fashion. However, where as Dishonored completely nailed it with gameplay and atmosphere, Thief completely falls flat! It's not a bad game per say but its one that I can't recommend.

Outlast is without a doubt one of the, if not the most suspenseful game I have ever played! So much so that I couldn't bring myself to play for more than 45 minutes or an hour at a time because It cause me so much stress! Am I gonna make it through this area alive? Do I have enough batteries to make it to where I need to go? Did the hellish creature like man in chase see me go under this bed? How is this all going to end for me? These are questions that were constantly running through my head during my time with Outlast and I can definitely say It was one dark and crazy ride but without a doubt one worth taking!

Without a doubt my personal favorite in the Assassin's Creed series! I've always been fascinated with lives and times of pirates since I was a kid, so much like Red Dead Redemption this game is a love letter to someone like me! The lead character is a lovable picture perfect pirate and the story is very interesting with many awesome levels and twists that I don't think you'll see coming! I enjoyed this game very much last year on the Playstation 3 and I'm enjoying it even more this time around with the enhanced graphics of the Playstation 4! Everything is rendered with the most detail you could imagine, everything so little as water splashing on the deck of your ship or the leave of a push brushing against your body as you move through it you will find it very hard to develop a complaint against this game, not only in the graphics department but the game as a whole!

I decided to buy Battlefield 4 again for my PS4 because I just had this burning feeling that it wasn't as bad as my first immersions had led me to believe. Now that I have actually beaten the campaign and played a lot more multiplayer I really begin to tell you how completely off my first impressions were! Once the difficulty is turned down and you really have a chance to get to the characters and get invested in their story the campaign becomes a very engaging experience! Also now that I have found my groove with the multiplayer it is now a major addiction for me! The final thing that really won me over about this version of the game was of course the graphical improvements! The biggest disappoint for me with this game on last generation consoles was the graphics and honestly the second that it put this into my Playstation 4 it made me wish that I had waited for this version!

Mass Effect... According to most it is the pinnacle of everything that a game should be. Now i know the fanboys will probably hate me for this but go right ahead, Mass Effect is a good but extremely overrated series! Now don't get me wrong these games are fun and do feature some good story moments but the fact that people are saying this is the best story in all of gaming... well its just not true! The graphics are good but not great and the gameplay is okay in the first, good in the second and third; but overall i bored of it really quickly! Now don't take me the wrong way, i am a huge sic-fi fan, and anybody who would call themselves one should definitely give these game a try... They're just not for me!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is an absolutely beautiful game! However, it becomes very easy to overlook that beauty when the rest of the game is characterized by monotonous tedium! The gameplay that feels fresh in the beginning quickly loses its luster with a story that doesn't go anywhere very fast! I feel like the developers wanted to prolong the length of this game by adding numerous fetch quests! Which is a shame because the games ending is fantastic and underneath all of these complaints lies parts **** that could have been something special! Still the beautiful environments and the games shocking conclusion make me eager to see what is next for the series!

I am enjoying Two Worlds II on my Mac much much more than I did on my PS3!! I felt like with this version I was able to really sit down and connect with the game on a far more personal level! This is due largely to the fact that almost every complaint I had with the PS3 version has been fixed here! The voice acting lines up with the lip syncing, there is little to no pop in, the character models/animations have been overhauled and last but certainly not least this game has been given a huge graphical upgrade! The first time I booted it up I was taken aside by how pretty it looked! If you own a Mac or a PC and you're into RPG's you should defitniely give this one a try now! Its truly an amazing game with one of the best fantasy worlds I have ever seen and you're not going to find a better version of it on the market!

Dark Souls II is a beautiful game and is much better than its predecessor! However, it is still uncompromisingly hard! Which for some people may not be a negative thing... but for me it is! Now i'm not saying I don't love a good challenge cause by all means i do! I just believe that games are supposed to be fun experiences that grab you, draw you in and connect you to the characters. When a game is as hard as the Dark Souls series it is fun at first and at many other points, but more often than not it frustrates and draws me out of the experience and that is not what i look for in a game! Still some people will find this appealing and to you I say go for it! Dark Souls II is not a bad game by any means... it's just not for me!

What a fantastic adventure! I have loved Ellen Paige ever since I saw her in Juno and a game that lets me look at her for 10 hours straight is gonna be a good one in my book hahaha! Seriously, Beyond Two Souls is an enthralling adventure that will sink its teeth into you and not let go! You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll experience some great action; but most of all you will leave the experience with the burning question of " What could have done differently?" That to me is what makes a great game! A story that touches you, brings you in, makes you a part of it and sticks with you long after you have stopped playing!

Yet another fantastic entry in the Arkham series! Origins impressed me beyond my expectations and is without a doubt my favorite of the trilogy! The gameplay of its predecessors and most of it mechanics remain mostly the same ( the only exception being the shock gloves in combat ). Where Origins really shines is its story. It is engaging and kept me hooked and engaged from the moment i picked it up to the moment the end credits roll. There are many great twists and shocking moments throughout the story that I won't ruin for you, but trust me when I say that you won't see them coming! Origins also felt a lot more cinematic than its predecessors which is also a big plus! Long story short, Batman: Arkham Origins is an absolutely fantastic Batman game that continues the excellence that the series is known for!

InFamous 2 is without a doubt an improvement over its predecessor... but that's not saying much! The story is much better and the morality choices play a much more prominent role. However, the biggest problem i still have with this series is that they make you out to be some unstoppable force that you just aren't. This series has so much potential and I honestly can't wait to get my hands on Second Son because i feel that that game will be the answer to all of my complaints!

Just an ok game... I think it's really an overrated one to be completely honest. The gameplay is fun at first but the thing that really got to me is that they make you out to be some unstoppable monster but you just need to get past the tutorial to realize that that's not the case! The story does not deliver either, it starts off very interesting but then just falls into complete monotonous tedium! Don't get me wrong it still has its fun parts and it should be pretty cheap now so just know what to expect when you go into it!

Never in my gaming career have i given a Call of Duty game a perfect score... However, Ghosts truly deserves it! Not only does this game feature a refined multiplayer experience but a truly awesome alien themed co-op experience that is a welcome change of pace from the usual zombies! Now put both of those things aside, the real reason to come to Ghosts is for is amazing single player campaign! The story is told in a truly masterful fashion and features some crazy set pieces that really have to be seen to be believed! If you are a fan of the Call of Duty series odds are you already have Ghosts. If you're someone who has given up on the series I implore you to give Ghosts a try, you won't be sorry that you did!

Saints Row IV is fun at places and has a great opening! However, the rest of the game falls flat due to uneven game design and lack of a central focus!

Grand Theft Auto V is an improvement over its predecessor in almost every possible way! I believe that this entry in the series will go down as the instant classic that IV was supposed to be! By far the most remarkable thing about this game is its presentation, every single thing all the way down to the smallest detail is rendered with the utmost quality and care. The gameplay is also tuned to perfection, you can see elements of both L.A. Noire as well as Red Dead Redemption in it. The only two things that really took me out of the experience were one the story, which has its moments but ultimately falls flat compared to Red Dead or L.A. Noire. It's not the story was bad or that the missions weren't fun, it just failed to hit me on the emotional level that those two games did. Secondly, is GTA Online. Again, it's not bad it just got really boring really fast and didn't keep me addicted and coming back the way that Red Dead's online did. Still GTA V is an absolutely phenomenal game when looked at as a whole and will definitely will be remembered for years to come!

Yes, it only took me an hour and ten minutes to beat Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes... it may be short but oh buddy is it sweet! For starters this is probably one of the most gorgeous game i have ever played! Everything from the weather effects all the way down to the movements of the characters! As far as attention to detail goes this game is absolutely flawless! Now the Metal Gear games have always been known for their stories and Ground Zeroes is no exception! It may only be an hour long but it has more emotionally gripping and badass moments then Rising had in the entirety of its campaign! Don't let what people say about the length of this game turn you away, along with the main story mission their are 5 "Side Ops". I have enjoyed all of these missions for well over 8 hours and I am still not finished! Bring on The Phantom Pain!!

Metal Gear Solid 4 is an absolutely phenomenal game! This along with Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us should be the measuring stick to which all other games compare not only their quality but their stories as well!

I am a huge fan of the Metal Gear series! I have been ever since the days of Guns of the Patriots! I have such a great love for the series because of the character development, attention to detail and riveting stories that has graced every such Metal Gear title in the past. Sadly, Metal Gear Rising does not feature any of those things... It features dull environments, lack luster characters and a story that not only falls apart but fails to hit you on an any emotional level! Now don't get me wrong there is a fun hack and slash game here along with some really really cool set pieces and boss fights, you just have to get past the games many short comings first!

Ok, lets get one thing out of the way first. I am a HUGE fan of Aliens! It is a great film that really paved the way for a lot of the great sic-fi that we continue to see today! However, i don't really think i was prepared for how big of a disappointment this game was. I wanted so much to like it, but as the game drug on and on with no real engaging story to keep me interested it was hard to keep myself playing. Now there are a few things to enjoy about this game. For one the presentation is not half bad and the easter eggs from the film that you stumble upon every now and again are pretty cool. The game also has a pretty cool opening sequence as well as a horror sequence in which you go without any weapons, which is without a doubt the high point of the experience. In the end if you are a fan of Aliens and you can find this game for five bucks by all means pick it up. Aliens: Colonial Marines is not a completely unplayable experience its just for the most part not a very good one!

Dead Space 3 is an awesome game and a fantastic way to end the trilogy! There are so many things about this game that are great, so i'm gonna get the bad things out of the way first. The thing that bothered me the most was the lack of competitive multiplayer, now I'm not normally a multiplayer kinda guy but i really enjoyed it in Dead Space 2 and wish it had been included here. Second is the mission structure, now don't get me wrong the game is incredibly fun! However, the fetch quest type structure of the missions really started to get on my nerves after a while. Lastly, the lack of Isaacs dementia. I feel like the element of Isaac loosing his sanity was what made the story in the second game so compelling! Even though the story in three is very good i feel like that element could have made it as great as the story in the second. Now, with all that out of the way let me tell you why this game is so good! It has the same amazing combat that we know and love plus the addition of customizable weapons! Second, it has crazy set pieces that are just as if not more over the top that in Dead Space 2! Lastly is the characters. Isaac is better than ever and if you have a buddy to play John Carver you are in for a real treat! Carver is a fantastic character and when you put him and Isaac together it just makes it even better! Also, the games villain is not bad either, he ads a sense of urgency and hatred toward a human enemy that the previous games lacked. All in all its not quite as good as Dead Space 2, however that shouldn't keep you away because this is an awesome finale that needs to be experienced by all sci-fi and Dead Space fans!

I think that not only to me but to a lot of fans out there Battlefield 4 is probably one of the, if not the most disappointing game of the year. The campaign is probably the worst aspect of this game, which is bad because i'm a big campaign and story guy. It does not deliver and provides an experience that is frustrating and in no way engaging. Now for the multiplayer. It's good, but not for long periods of time. The levelutions are cool, but not once you've seen them all in the trailers. As much as it pains me to say it, Call of Duty: Ghosts completely puts Battlefield 4 to shame!

After playing through the mediocrity of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, it was refreshing to go back and play through this one again. In my opinion this is truly the best Splinter Cell game in the series. It has an engrossing and engaging storyline, brutal combat and most importantly it has Michael Ironside! I am truly hoping that Ubisoft will listen to some of the fan opinions and continue to mold the future Splinter Cell titles in the style of Conviction.

As a big fan of the Splinter Cell series, Blacklist was a huge disappointment for me. Not only have they taken away Michael Ironside, the voice actor for Sam that we know and love, but they removed almost all of the elements that in my opinion made Conviction the best in the series. The story is much much weaker and just about every time Sam opened his mouth i let out a big sigh of disappointment. Anyway, with all that being said I know many people may not think Blacklist is a bad game and its really not. It's just not the Splinter Cell game that I was hoping for.

Crysis 2 is an absolutely beautiful game with absolutely awesome gameplay!! The shear amount of detail in the environments is mind blowing! Never once did i come across a texture that look blocky or muddy, nor did i come across a vista that i didn't catch myself staring at! On top of that, the amount of variety when approaching each combat encounter is ridiculous! There are so many options when it comes to combat that i'm not gonna try to name them all here for fear of leaving something cool out haha! The only complaint i had with this game was a lack of focus in the narrative. However, that means absolutely nothing when the rest of the game is so great! I'm sure most gamers already have this one, but not there is no better time then now to go pick this one up!

Disappointing is the only word I can really use to describe F.E.A.R 3! As a huge horror fan and fan of the 2nd game I had high hopes for this one, but sadly neither the scares or story lived up to my expectations. I honestly believe that the real problem behind this game was the absence of series creators Monolith studios, because even the gameplay didn't really feel right! I do like this series but i think that if it wants to be as good as it used to then Monolith is going to have to get back behind wheel!

Red Faction: Armageddon is not a bad game. However, after the awesome story and open-ended mission structure of 2009's awesome Red Faction: Guerrilla! This game has been severely dumbed down compared to that game. The story is awful and the gameplay while fun is extremely linear! Still if you're looking for a game with some cool destruction to kill some time with and you can find this one for under $10 then by all means go for it haha!

When i first picked this game up over the summer my buddy who works at Gamestop told me this Man this game is amazing! It puts Uncharted to shame and its between this and Last of Us for Game of the Year! Now when my initial reaction when i heard that was yeah whatever haha it looks good but there is no way it'll put Uncharted to shame! Well now that i have beaten the game i can tell you that i was DEAD WRONG!! Tomb Raider is an absolutely amazing game that as much as it pains me to say it definitely puts Uncharted to shame! Everything in this game from the story to the graphics, the locations and the characters is all breathtaking. If you haven't played this title yet do yourself a favor and go pick it up! Without a doubt one of my contenders for game of the year

Now this is what a Walking Dead game should be! This game has everything that Survival Instinct sorely lacked! You care about the survivors that you're with and their stories, you want them all to live but you know that in a world overcome by a zombie apocalypse that it just can't happen. It's emotional, its suspenseful and its action packed! It is The Walking Dead and if you're a fan of the show or comics you owe it to yourself to go pick this one up if you haven't already!

I absolutely loved L.A Noire! Its a great and original game that truly makes you feel like a detective avenging the death's of the victims that you come across! The only thing that i could complain about in this game is the lack of multiplayer, the lack of more varied side missions, and a not so satisfying ending. However, the rest of the game is so amazing that its very easy to overlook those areas.

Assassin's Creed Revelations is a huge step in the right direction when compared to its predecessor Brotherhood! However, even telling the story through the perspectives of 2 assassin's isn't enough to keep the game interesting for the 18 hour it takes to complete... It all has that been there done that feel to it in my opinion. Still, if your craving some more Assassin's Creed you should definitely at least give this one a try.

The locations that you travel through in Dungeon Siege III are beautiful! However, I doubt you will find anything else in this game that will impress you apart from that. If you haven't played this game yet, you will be better off waiting two months for Diablo III!

So many people love to hate on the Call of Duty series, and I'm starting to understand why! I mean don't get me wrong the campaigns are like playing your own action movie and who doesn't love that crazy addictive multiplayer? but when that is all that you bring to the table year after year, its gonna start to show the developement teams lack of idea's and the overall age of the games and mecahnics.

I will admit, the first time that i played this game i did not give it a fair chance. I played to the first sniper sequence and decided that the game was trying to hard to be realistic, so i quite. However, now that i have finished the full game i can now tell you enough how completely off my first impressions were. This game has an amazing campaign with one of the most gripping and emotional stories that i have ever seen in a shooter! On top of that, the multiplayer is the best that i have ever played as far as FPS go! In the end Medal of Honor: Warfighter is an outstanding shooter! Sure its not without its got problems with frame rate, some glitchy cutscenes and a few other random bugs but that does not hold it back from being the best military FPS that i have ever played! CoD should certainly take a few lessons from the guys over at Danger Close! Can't wait to see where they take the Medal of Honor series next!

This is a great game!! The campaign has a great story and an amazing cinematic presentation that I absolutely love to see in games because i think it makes the experience more like a movie! Aside from that it has a series of co-op special ops missions that are great fun to be had with a buddy! Last but certainly not least the multiplayer for this game is ridiculous, addicting and crazy fun! I still enjoy playing this game to this day!

The Last of Us has officially de-throned Red Dead Redemption as the best game that i have ever played! This is an absolutely amazing experience that needs to be had by everyone! It has an rich and engaging setting that is just begging to be explored, the best graphics I have ever seen in a video game that really brings the world and the characters to life, and a deep and heartfelt story of hope and survival against all odds. Lastly, to top it all off The Last of Us has some of the most unique and fun multiplayer I have ever played! Its refreshing to see a game that decides to step out and try something new instead of just be another Call of Duty clone! Now the only complaints i do have about this game are a few audio bugs and that the characters can occasionally glitch out when the combats gets really frantic... However, those are completely minor complaints to what is otherwise an absolutely fantastic and jaw dropping experience!!

Compared to Assassin's Creed II this game was very disappointing in my opinion. The Story was boring and the characters seemed very lackluster compared to its predecessor! However, the addition of a multiplayer mode definitely makes it stand out and at least worth a rental.

This is without a doubt the best Assassin's Creed game! Its got a great story, great characters, and a great setting! If you're a fan of history or just action/adventure games you should definitely give this one a go!

This is a great sci-fi rpg!! Its got a very interesting concept as far as the story and setting goes. It's also got some very memorable characters. However, the game definitely consists of more talking than it does action. Which is all good for me but if you're more into nonstop action you may wanna pass on this one!

This is a great game! However, the frustrating save system and some boring missions that feel like they were just added as filler to make the game longer hold this back from being the instant classic that it could have been! but this is still a great game that anybody who is a fan of crime/ mobster movies should definitely check out!

Metro: Last Light may have one of the best presentations i have ever seen in a game! It never leaves the first person perspective and truly makes you feel as if you are living the life of your character! Put that together with a great story and some amazing visuals and you've got what is without a doubt one of the best sleeper hits of the year!!

I didn't think it was possible to improve on Uncharted 2... but Naughty Dog has managed to do that in almost every possible way! Definitely one of the if not the most cinematic and jaw dropping experiences i've ever had with a game!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an absolutely amazing game! The story, the graphics and even the multiplayer are all excellent! This is definitely one that if you don't own a PS3 is worth buying one for!

This is really a great PS3 exclusive! its got a great story that will appeal to anyone who loves Indiana Jones. The graphics are absolutely stunning and I just can't wait to see what Naughty Dog is going to continue to do with this series!

Two Worlds II has one of the best fantasy game settings that i've ever seen! but that being said it's really hard to enjoy when it has so many glitches and technical problems. Given a while longer in development, there's no telling how good this game could have been.
