Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Conviction is the best installment in the series. The developers took some major risks in design and presentation that paid off, resulting in a game that's at once approachable and complex, and arguably the current last word in stealth adventure.

Arguably the best in the series. Better sneaking mechanic, one of the best cover systems ever, and pacing on a level unlike anything you've experienced in a stealth game, all while keeping it accessible to new players.

With an engaging story, impressive presentation and voice acting, and a variety of multiplayer game modes, Conviction has a lot of quality worth experiencing.

It’s a more accessible and cinematic experience that may turn off some Splinter Cell purists. If you’re only in it for the single player story, a rental will suffice, but with a good-sized co-op campaign and a more focused multiplayer suite, Splinter Cell fans have excellent reason to get re-acquainted with Sam Fisher this summer.

Conviction moves the series in a couple of new directions, with new elements that are well thought out and polished. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking and sometimes abandons these fresh ideas for much shallower out and out gunning, but it's consistently solid and satisfying throughout.

The crescendo of the plot builds to a ludicrous point - the influence of (now canceled) 24 is extremely apparent, but as the one-man-army that is Sam careens towards his final goal the narrative goes a little over-the-top - not Metal Gear lunacy, but certainly a climax uncharacteristic of the series.

Conviction is just a casual-oriented actioneer with simplistic gameplay mechanic and big-budget production values.

Das beste Splinter Cell. Ja mehr Action als im den Vorgängern und auch weniger schwer, aber die Tollen Orte und die gute Story sind einfach am besten. Ein remaster wäre Cool xD

Too much shooting, seriously. This game is too CRUEL! Where is stealth???? I dont want to kill anybody!

This game is a Third Person Shooter disguised as a Stealth game this game has little to no stealth to it is it bad? no is it good? Kind of I will continue to play this game as it is still fun but it's not as good as other splinter cell titles out there the whole premise of this game is supposed to be you moving around silently taking out enemies maybe causing some minor "Accidents" to kill those same enemies but in reality the slightest thing you do alerts them to your presence like shooting out a light so you can be hidden in the dark as soon as you do that they go ballistic and try to find you. Overall this game is fun but not what it was supposed to be.

Those who call this game good and give it high marks are either never played Splinter Cell or don't know what it is, ignorant of the series. This game, simply called Splinter Cell, has nothing to do with stealth; it's a straight-up third-person action game with zero tactics. If you're looking for a stealth game, definitely stay away. Another game in another series that Ubisoft Montreal has ruined...

Id like to start by saying this game is fun. Theres nothing wrong with it playwise. However this game took the ONLY stealth series available and steals it from us. Even if this is the best game youve played this year its still worth considering that because it was released as a splinter cell game it spells the end for the true stealth game genre. So if you ever feel like hey im in the mood for a sneaky stealth dedicated game..well now it no longer exists. To take a one of a kind unique and successfull series and change the most basic point of the game steals not just from old fans but from all gamers because now the only game if its kind has been replaced by just another heavy action setup. This would have done well as a game under a new title but to purposly rip a whole way of playing from the fans and replace it is a sad occurence. No matter how much you love it its still a betrayal and the end of an entire type of gameplay that only splintercell offerd
