This game is ideal for playing it in the background while you listen or watch something that is not fully engaging. For that reason I really enjoyed it as it helped me relax. It was fun delving into dungeon and gathering ingridients to sell them as another minigame in your shop. Very good game.

Split Fiction9

Another amazing game from Hazel Light. They are master of coop split screen games and this one is no exception. Pros:
- New, innovative mechanics before you get tired of the old ones. We have top-down shooter, 2D platformer, puzzles, 3D adventure game.
- Top quality split screen coop. I completed two playthroughs with my wife: we switched characters because they have completaly different gameplay at some points.
- Narrative: this one has a good story about dealing with your traumas and opening to your friends. Nothing breathtaking but decent.
- Graphics and art direction. The game looks very good. The last levels with worlds changing dynamically shows their technical mastery with the engine as well. Cons:
- Both characters can be irritating. Probably to show their journey, but I didn't like them to the end.
- Some mechanics end too soon, before we can master them.
- Some sections are tedious and replaying them was a pain.

It' hard to describe what this game really is. It has unique gameplay, fun encounters and is overall enjoyable. You can explore the haunted hotel in your own pace even though the game is quite linear. Fun coop mode. I was surprised by how many bugs were there as I was expecting higher standard from Nintendo game.

Very well made 2d platformer with well put together mechanics. Movement is fluid, gameplay is very varied. And wonder levels always brings some creativity. Most of the game is simple, but the end levels can be really challenging. Be prepared for struggle in the final final level.

Good game if you are ready that this is a lower budget game. I played "Lost Valley" campaign in coop mode. The combat system is the most faithful implementation of D&D 5e ruleset I've seen – much more faithful than Baldur's Gate 3 – with all it's pros and cons. But the mechanics (combat, crafting, exploration) is the best this game has to offer. Graphics, character models are only decent. Quests are mostly fetch quests with random encounters in between. Dialogues are so minimal that I very often didn't know what the quest is about and why I'm here.
But regardless of this issues, it was a fun game and I spent good 50 hours with my wife playing it. We were laughing at every inconsistency, lack of solid plot and rather unsatisfying ending.

I can find a lot of negatives within this game and I wanted to write it here, but the truth is it's been long time since I was so glued to a controller as with Astro Bot. The game is so addicting: the music, controls, sound effects, changing mechanics. I played everyday after work until I beat it to 100%. One of the best 3D platformers I played. Pros:
- Simple and intuitive controls
- Mechanics are changing from round to round so it's never get boring
- Time Stopping rounds are amazing
- Catchy music
- Challenging rounds are short and more addictive than irritating
- Fun nods to other games (themed levels are the best) Cons:
- The game could be a little less linear. All planets could have been available from the start. I miss the open hubs from Mario Odyssey
- All these nods to hardware are a little cringy to me. But it's just an opinion.
- There is almost no plot to the game but who am I kidding... I didn't need it to have fun

God of War: Ragnarok9

A worthy sequel of the first game. I was not a fan of the story at the beginning, but it got much better in the second half. Pros:
- Amazing story. With great cinematics and acting it's almost a movie when the cutscene starts to play
- Challenging and satisfying fights. Along with the leveling up and trying to complete all the weapon combos trainings.
- Music.
- Well-written, believable characters. Cons:
- After playing Baldur's Gate 3, the gameplay felt limiting (I know. This is a different kind of game)
- Atreus can be annoying at the beginning.
- This is a long game with not much variety in gameplay. Fights are fun, but they started to be a slog when I was trying to earn a Platinum Trophy.

Baldur's Gate 310
Feb 25, 2024
Best game I played in years. The amount of freedom of options is impressive and at the same time it flows so natural that it is not overwhelming. The combat and leveling system is simple yet compelling. As a veteran D&D dungeon master, it reminded it how fun can turn-based combat be (it feels different from DM perspective). of course it is not ideal, but it has so much freedom, that even with it's flaws, you can bypass the things that you don't like. Pros: + Freedom to craft your story. Enough story structure to make it interesting, and enough choices to decide how do you want to play. I've spent 170 hours in this game and every time I talk to someone I find out they had different interactions or discovered something I missed.
+ Story. It scratches a lot of the Forgotten Realms, has a lot of twists, some clickes and interesting characters. It both have fully developed characters (like companions, whose personal stories are amazing), and one-dimensional (like Raphael, who is the best villains I had opportunity to kill in years. He is full of cliches, and I love it).
+ Music, Visuals and voice acting. Simply amazing.
+ Engaging combat and leveling up. It's opinion. The systems were complex enough to be engaging but simple so I didn't loose track what are my abilities up to level 10 (the last two levels I was a little lost, but hitting things as a barbarian stayed engaging).
+ Very close to real D&D. As a long-time player, I can relate. Especially to situations when we tried had a plan, and something went awful but we decided to roll with it. I got arrested twice and had to escape, I had Gale playing horribly on violin to distract giant eagles while Astarion tries to sneak and gots entangled in vines. Pure comedy. Cons:
- Inventory management. I played on console and sometimes we had (I played with my wife in local co-op) a 2-hour gaming session of just shopping. It was painful.
- No ability to change character during dialog. When someone approached us, It was always my character who was talking. And I played dumb barbarian. Sometimes it was funny, but sometimes I wish I could have a choice.
- Some major consequences were affected by a dice roll. It's fun to have some small consequences based on your poor dice roll, but when something bad happens, I'd rather have some choice and not dice. I didn't want to savescum, but because of that we did it twice.
- Local co-op was better in Divinity Original Sin 2. Split screen in combat is not ideal. Same for joined initiative where we ruined our own plans by acting at the same time.
- Host of the game in multiplayer has more attention. All the people want to talk to them. It's less engaging for other players.
- Bugs. I played from the day 1 on the PS5. Most of the major ones were fixed before we reached the end, but thera are still some of them. Feel warned.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores7
Jul 20, 2023
DLC to first game was very good but this one... not so much. I gave it 7/10 because the core mechanics are still super fun to play. Pros + Graphics are amazing + New, visually attractive area to explore, with lava, and almost pirates of Caribbean feel to it. + Some side stories are fun and each of them is different. + Core mechanics are still super fun to play. Especially that we can use our flying machine almost from the start. + Truly epic final boss... Cons – ... that is too epic for this short side quest. Seriously, it is more of an epic boss fight than the finale of the main game. – The new region feels empty. Nothing is drawing to explore it beyond our curiosity (and need for 100%). No rumors, very little side quests. If you want more content from this DLC, you need to find it. – The story is weak. It feels like this time is more about "shy Aloy trying to ask Seyka for a date" than about defeating the antagonist. And the romance is not well done. It is cringy. The antagonist is also not much of a threat (he just kidnaps few people) until the end when everything blows to a major boss fight out of a blue. – The DLC is short. Expect around 10 hours to 100% it. Overall, I don't recommend this DLC. The main game is enough this time.

Hogwarts Legacy7
Jul 14, 2023
The atmosphere of the Wizarding World is done well, but overall, this is only a decent open world game. Pros: + Harry Potter vibes done well + The love for the source material is in the air. A lot of details from books and films for the fans. + Good fighting system with depth. It feels good to throw spells around. + Some memorable moments. + A lot to do in the open world. Side missions, collectibles etc. Cons: – The main storyline is mediocre. Most of the characters are very one dimensional, there are no twists. The main plot revolves around trials that are there only so that the game can happen. – The world is too big. Most of the time, we are not visiting Hogwarts, but rather vast, boring plains outside of it. – Collectibles has no reason. Balloons are flying around Hogwarts just so you can fly through it, and nobody has pushed a stone for a hundred years so that you can come, push it and solve a puzzle. – The world feels very static and artificial. Filled with dozens of enemies for you to kill. – A lot of chore activities: selling tons of gear, brewing potions, taking care of your garden and "rescuing" animals. Takes a lot of time in game. Overall, pretty good game, but I've played many better implementations of this open world formula. The main selling point is the Harry Potter theme, but it does it very well.

Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn9
Jun 18, 2023
The sequel to the great game, that does better almost everything that made the first game so great. Your companions feel more alive, the story goes global into the heroic tones of fighting half-gods and saving the world. The combat mechanics are still a little enigmatic as there are a lot of dice rolling behind your back and stats are not helping if you are not familiar with AD&D system. This can get overwhelming especially when you need to level up your character. But the story and the atmosphere of classic dungeoning is what makes this game great. You will be visiting big cities, discover dark secrets and completing quests for characters that seem to fit just right into this world. There is a lot of reading and the combat is hard to figure out but it is worth it. Update after fresh playthrough in 2023: Still the great game but some solutions seems dated. I love the freedom of exploring the first 3 chapters, but the the quests are not connected to world or each other and are quite fetchquesty. With almost every of them, it looks like the designers had one solution in mind (combat usually). It is visible when we compare old quests to the ones added in enhanced edition, as they are usually better. What is more, after playing modern games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Solasta, the combat and leveling in BG2 is significantly worse. I quickly resorted to lower difficulty with auto combat. Also, managing equipment is a pain.

Horizon Forbidden West9

I had a great time in this amazing open world. This game deserves more praise. It is not a revolution by any means but everything is just done really well. Pros:
- stunning visuals and music. The best looking game I've ever seen. Both from artistic and technical standpoint. - almost every subsystem has been improved in comparison to previous game. Dialogues are better. Cutscenes are prettier. Fights has been changed so it is fresh and better balanced.
- comparing to other games, handling equipment is not so much a hustle. Many things are done automatically or with a single tap. E.g. you see how many items of a type you have when you are browsing merchant wgoods.
- great open world. Various activities. A lot to do and it does not get boring
- base and companions with their stories are great addition Cons:
- story is not as engaging as in the first game. The ending feels weird.
- the world seems artificial sometimes. The tribes which are presented as brutal, are very polite and tolerant when you engage with them. I would say too polite. I would expect more cruelty from them
- lack of choices. We are just choosing hthe tone of our reply but most of the story will happen regardless.
- the protagonist is blant and barely likeable.

The game is ideal for switch. I was playing it while watching a series on TV and I had a great time. It is challenging at first but it has satisfying game loop. You go to the dungeon, you slay some monsters, you die, and then you can buy upgrades. It quickly becomes easier. It has some village management and cute Legend of Zelda like world and dungeons with plenty of secrets and puzzles. I had a smile on my face almost the entire time during playing the title. Later on, you are getting access to more advanced mechanics and you can spend hours searching for collectibles. I stopped after completing the main story but still it was a lot of fun.

Relaxing game that is ideal for split screen gaming. The game is a collectible hunt paradise and knows it pretty well. There are ton of helpers that will eliminate a need for looking things up in the Internet. This is an open world game that you can sit after tough day at work and it does not matter if you have 15 minutes or three hours of free time as you will find something to do here. Pros: + Relaxing gameplay with satisfation in progress towards completion + Lego humor and adorable adaptation of Star Wars moovies + Many types of collectibles: puzzles, fetch quests, finding things... + Quick gameplay loop: you can hop on for 15 minutes + Gonks Cons: – The game is super easy. I like easy games but this is a little too much – Unnecessary character progression. No need for buying abilities if the game is so easy anyway – Repetitive gameplay + so many guiding systems makes it almost mindless game after a while

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition8
Mar 27, 2022
One of the best metroidvania I ever played. It is hard not to compare it to Hollow Knight. There are things that it does better and things that it does worse. Overall it is prettier and and lighter on a tone, also easier and more forgiving but also more focused on platforming than on combat. It is also a lot shorter. Pros: + Platforming done right. Ori is responsive with a lot of movement options. + Upgrades. Progression is one of the key elements that kept me glued to the screen. Every new ability feels rewarding. + Open world. You can travel everywhere in the order you want. You want to explore the world to find upgrades and to become stronger. + Audio and Video. Music and graphics are amazing. It is a pleasure to see this game. Cons: – Few optional activities. The world is open and you will find plenty of secrets, but apart from that, there is not much more to discover. No side stories to tell. – Short. 10 Hours to complete the Definitive Edition 100%.

It Takes Two8
Mar 12, 2022
+1 to the score because of the great coop. Hazelight decided to take a step in different direction than most of the game studios today. No open world, no meaningless collectibles, gameplay focused on co-op. When judging with these assumptions in mind "It takes two" is shinning in almost every of that. Pros: + Diversity of levels: snow, garden, music, mechanic clock-world. Each of the environments is unique and with some twist? You think the tree will be just jumping on branches? Wrong! We have military squirrels. What about an attic? It is a music level. + Diversity of mechanics. There is a 1-2 new mechanics in every level. Every one of them uses cooperation in an interesting way. + Great coop game. I've played a lot of coop games with my wife. In most of them, the players must overcome an obstacle one-by-one and wait for each other or can go in different directions and basically play two separate games. This is not the case here. In order to succeed, you have to stay close and help each other. + Meaningful collectibles: there are no "golden bricks" hidden in the levels. Each of the collectibles is either a mini game with new mechanic or a interesting situation/easter egg. + A lot of mini games. We enjoyed playing through them all (maybe except chess - it is hard to call chess a mini game). They are great to enhance the coop experience. Cons: – Lack of depth in puzzles. Each mechanics has a potential for great puzzles using them. The game uses them only for very simple ones, that you just go through in a heartbeat. Not much a challenge. Some areas feels like there was a lot of effort put into them and you just rush through it. – The story is not bad but it is not great either. It is more about exploration of the characters and their personalities. The story was better in "The way out" (previous game of Hazelight). – We didn't quite like the characters. – Sometimes the game forces you to do things you wish you could skip. If you played the game, you know what I'm talking about.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales7

Great expansion of the already good game. This review is an extension to the review of the base game. Pros: + Swinging through the New York is as pleasant as in the base game. + Visuals are stunning. + The Spider-Man app is an interesting addition to introduce side quests. + Great costumes and easter eggs. Cons: – Story is decent but it was better in the base game – New powers required adding more powers to enemies and new enemies. This change implicated longer stealth sequences with more waves of enemies. – So many collectibles in this shorter game. – Boss fights that can be only hit by a venom power and you can't generate venom because you can hit a boss...

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales8
Dec 25, 2021
I am surprised how good the story is given that this is side installement of the game. It is engaging and faithful to the books. Pros: + Suprisingly engaging story with many twists. It is building on story from the books but is not altering it. + Amazing soundtrack. You will end up humming it along during card battles. + Stylized graphics that is a good fit for this ganre. It looks well in every situation. + Variety of styles of the card battles. Some have special rules, some are logic puzzles and some are just different game built with the mechanic (e.g. there is a "memo" battle). + Your choices changes some aspects of the story. Especially who will be at your side during the journey. Cons: – Very linear structure of the game. Every map was a straight line. There was no illusion of open world or branching paths. – "Lesser evil" choices. Sometimes I felt like I was punished for trying to be good. What is worse, that was done after a few hours and without warning. – Random "standard battles". Full 3-round battles were boring when there was no stakes. They were good for story battles, but boring while encountering a random monster in the woods. – Scaled map during overland travel. A village is a single hut and your army is represented with a model of queen Meve. I did not feel the scale or how my army grows. Additional words on the story: The story is engaging and faithfull to the books. It does not alter but rather fill in blank spaces in the source material. There is only a little overlap with the story from the books but it is executed perfectly. If you know how Meve and Geralt met, you will be waiting for the moment and you will be excited when it happens. It is so much better from what Netflix is currently doing with the plot.

Ghost of Tsushima8
Oct 20, 2021
TLDR; Good: Main Story, Great companion quests, Gameplay easy to divide into short gaming sessions. Bad: Boring and repetitive side activities with lots of riding on a horse and clearing out enemy camps. Main and Side stories: The main story is engaging. It is a fight you have to take to free the people of Tsushima but your hero will have to sacrifice everything he belives in to do so. But as you fight your way through ranks of enemies you will find allies whom will help you. They have stories on their own and I wish some RPG games like Pillars of Eternity had such amazing companion stories as this game. Each of them has a chain of quests that can't be done right away but are progressing with the main story. Each quest is short and gives you ust a bit of the story and conclusion of all of the quest chains is emotional and worth seeing. Gameplay: The swordfight feels satisfying and "right". Each skill point gives you additional abilities and you have that pleasant feeling of progression. Of course stelthy approach is built as in any other AAA game so your opponents are blind and unable to look up. Everything else is just industry standard at this point. Open World: This one is tricky. The best thing about this world was that every quest, doesn't matter if it is a main, side quest or just a simple activity is very short. It was super easy for me to play this game for a half an hour and feel that I did something. I didn't feel forced to sit longer but I always wanted too because I always could stop after just one more short quest. The bad part is: the open world was mostly riding a horse. You ride 2 minutes through the map, gather one item or slash through a bamboo stand, and you go off again. Or slay through an enemy camp. The quest were interesting but every other activity was boring. For the most part of the game I felt like uncovering the map pixel by pixel. Visuals and Music: The game is mesmerizing. Views are amazing. Swaying grass, falling leaves and wind everywhere around you. Music is simply stunning. It always fits the situation and touches some strings of your feelings or enhances the scene. It is one that I added to my playlist to listen during work.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure8
Jul 14, 2021
A joyful platformer that is a great to play in coop. But don't be fooled by the pleasing graphics and easy gameplay at the beginning. The game can be really hard. Pros: + Amazing soundtrack. It is a joy to play with the music that is playing in the background. + Music levels! + Design of the creatures and levels + Great to play in coop + The story is barely there but it is enough and it has a positive vibe. Cons: - Camera and controls. It is hard to tell where sackboy will land. - Coop interactions between players. I can't even tell how many times I died because I bounced off the head of a second player. - Frustrating platinum trophy. Not fair and hard but frustrating as you have to go 12 minutes without a single mistake. It is very easy to make mistake in that game.

Cyberpunk 20777
May 19, 2021
The game is in better shape than you can see online. I encountered few glitches, 2-3 crashes and some weird music loops, but the game is doing auto saves frequently so it was not a problem for me both on PS4 and when I switched to PS5. So don't be fooled by the hate. The game is very much playable. During the game I was charmed by the atmosphere and writing of the game. It is one of the best storytelling you will see in a game. Dialogues and characters are written perfectly. Every relation with NPCs in a game feels almost real. They are not just quest givers but after series of events they are becoming your friends. The main plot may be not original but it is masterfully told with plenty of tension, relations, twists and atmosphere. All the side missions are worth doing and each arc has some unique flavor (detective work, nomadic families, houses of pleasure, braindances, netrunners). When it comes to gameplay, I would say that, Cyberpunk 2077 is a great story, but at most decent game. Sometimes it feels like the developers fell in love with story so much that they forgot that the player should be in control. There are whole sections where it doesn't matter what you do or what dialogue option you choose. Moreover I was surprised that I didn't wanto to level up. The leveling system is so complicated and yet meaningless that I was never looking forward to gain a level. Same with random tasks in the open world - I didn't care about them. In theory each of them had some story behind them, but it was told only through a note or call log and got repetitive after a while. But even with all these flaws I spent more than 100 hours in the game and didn't feel tired of it until the end quest. I can recommend Cyberpunk. I think that the hype did caused a lot of harm to the game. The expectation were too high.

If you liked the first game, you are going to like that one more. I played it in coop with my wife and we had a ton of fun. The metroidvania formula is done perfectly with smooth platforming, good fights and upgrades that are satisfying to get and use later on. The plot is simple but the characters and humor are great. If you liked the chickens from the first game, you are going to love it as there is even more chickens here (and they are much more powerful and useful). The game is a little easier than the previous one but I would say this is a plus as the challenges never get to the frustration level. Overall, improvement in almost every aspect and well deserved 910.

Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition10
Mar 17, 2021
The game has its flaws and solo play deserves 9/10 at most and can be comparable to the level of the first Pillars of Eternity game. But the addition of the local split screen coop in a full RPG game for 160 hours is worth noting and deserves a +1 to the score. If you have someone to play with don't hesitate as this is one of the best coop games I ever played. I was not a fan of the first game (mostly because of poor story and music) but I fell in love with this one. Pros: + Tactical fights are so much better than the ones in Pillars of Eternity. You plan your tactics and cooperate to achieve the best outcome. + Leveling system is clear and rewarding. You are embracing each new level with excitement. + A lot of branching paths and ways to solve the conflicts. You are creating the story. This is the closest to TTRPG I've ever seen. + Amazing music. + Local coop – I found it the best way to experience this game. + The story presented in the game with all the conflicts presented between characters is so much better than in the first game. it is still sometimes hard to follow with all the side stories but i was curious what will happen next. + Crafting and consumables that I actually used, which is not common when I usually play the games. + Companions with the arcs related to the main story is a great way to engage the player. Cons: – You start all the fights with full health and refreshed abilities. this makes most of the encounters very similar (you always start with the same combination of moves). – Story is still a secondary thing. It is not the level of storytelling that Witcher or Pillars of Eternity has. – The setting is not super interesting PoE wins this round. – Fights are tailored to a specific level. If you go to the place you are not supposed to go, you don't stand a chance. – The world feels condensed and thus very small. That affects the story that is told like a grand adventure. – Too much elemental surfaces. Almost every fight were infested with permanent fire. The world burned all the time. – There are a lot of bugs for a 3 year old game (I played it in late 2020).

Great 3D platformer to showcase PS5 new controller. It is really simple and short game, but yet so fun to play and max out. Finding all the collectibles and references was a real joy. It is good to take a break from "real" grim titles like Cyberpunk, to just remind yourself what gaming really is about – joy and relax. Pros: + Music, levels, and characters are a real joy + Fun gameplay with variety of environments + Variety of mechanics to keep you from being bored + Great collectibles and references Cons: - Cringy level names (like SSD Highway) - No real challange in the game. Even in optional content. - Lack of depth for the mechanics

A really good action-adventure game. Pluses: + Enjoyable environmental puzzles + Adventurous and not-to-serious tone of the game + Fun story following mysteries of the ancient artefact through tombs with puzzles and action + Variety of location: snow, desert, jungle, tombs Minuses: - Shooting and platforming feels clunky for todays standards - The stunts that Lara pulls in this game are ridiculous. Often commented with one-liners that will force you to facepalm. If you want to enjoy this game, don't take it too serious. - Some boss fights are annoying.

I was playing Pillars of Eternity II – a brilliant but quite long game that got me tired by the end. Marvel's Spider-Man came with the rescue mission. It is action-packed game with open world and decent story. It's extremely easy to get engaged into swinging movement above the city streets. A great way to relax after the long day at work. My wife who has been in New York was surprised by how the city was well made. When it comes to the story... it has its moments. And it may com as a surprise that for me, the best moments were closer to the beginning than to the epic climax of the game. I felt more engaged when I had to take a break in fighting crime in order to find a new place to stay after I got kicked from my apartment than when I was fighting 6 super villains at once. During later game scenes I felt like in pumped-up blockbuster with apocalypse on the horizon and dozen of major threats ongoing. And I did not liked that. Overall, it is a very good game. I recommend it.

The game has one of the best level design of 2D games I played. The stories told are also great and kept me engaged in the game. The soundtrack emphasises the mood and emotions of the protagonist. The high difficulty level is not that much painful due to short levels and fast reset. It is one of the best 2D platformers I ever played. It took me over 20 hours until I gave up (I completed the main 7 chapters of the game but did not finish 8th and 9th). And the reason I gave up is why I'm giving this game "only" 8/10. Although the high difficulty is intended, it may be frustrating at some times (especially if you do want to collect all those strawberries). If you want to relax after a hard day of work and play just for a half of an hour while you commute, it may be not the best experience.

Summary: It a great Star Wars game with the music, atmosphere and story that captures the adventure 80s fantasy feeling of the original trilogy. The metroidvania linear adventure with action packed scenes and souls like combat is a great combination for this title. But the execution is just ok and technical aspects are a downside. The game captures the magical feeling of 80s fantasy and the adventure. It is much closer to the original movies than any of the films from the sequel trilogy. The plot combines the adventure of the journey through the unknowns of the far far away galaxy and the tale about restoring the secret once great order of the Jedi. The story has everything that stereotypical 80s fantasy should have: an obvious villain, an obvious hero and his party and the mystical ancient goal. It has jungles, deserts and ancient tombs. And it has magical weapons – lighsabers. The music is inspired by the wonderful work of John Williams. It captures the adventure/fairytale feeling of the setting. As a fantasy fan I couldn't ask for more. I love the mix of gameplay that this game presents. Exploration is linear metroidvania style experience with lots of abilities that unlocks a new paths and collectibles. The souls-like combat fits really well. The action packed sequences and platforming sections keeps you engaged if you are not here only to slice things for the lightsaber. The problem is, that the execution of all this elements is just ok. The combat is difficult and satisfying but sometimes it gets frustrating. When I saw I'm too weak for the boss fight I wanted to go back and gather something that will help me and game just locks you with the enemy and leaves you no choice but to try until you rage quit or lower the difficulty. Platforming can be bugged and you will have to repeat each section a couple of times because you have fallen to your death during a slide. The level design is a plus. The verticality of the levels combined with agility of the character gives more depth to combat and maps. What I consider a downside are the larger planets without any shortcuts or fast travel. This can be painful at the end of the game when you are trying to gather all the collectibles, and you just have to traverse the whole planet multiple times because the an unreachable cliff or a slide blocks your way back. And speaking of collectibles, they are worthless. Unless your are planning to earn a platinum trophy, don't bother with them. As to the technical aspects: I have never seen a game on PS4 that is a year after the release and still has so many bugs, glitches and frame drops.

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars7

This is a classic point&click title. The story is engaging with great intrigue full of lost mysteries, secret societies and ancient puzzles. The game is full of great moments, like searching through a lost tomb or studying old art to reveal hidden mysteries. Broken Sword is also filled with humor. Almost all the characters have their own weird habits. The protagonist is also very likeable. But the game has also its problems. I played the Directors Cut version and it has quite a few technical problems. I had to lower my screen resolution significantly to be able to read the texts in the game. I also was forced to play windowed mode. When it comes to gameplay, some of the segments has the problems of the old adventure games. Some puzzles have very non-logical solutions, and the only way to proceed is to try every combination of items. The NPC were also not very original. They all seem the same after encountering a few of them. Broken Sword is quite a decent game, but I didn't find it as good as some people claim it to be.

Really, really good metroidvania. We had fun with my wife playing in couch coop. The controls are smooth and you are receiving new powers every few hours to keeps things interesting. The powers also are improving your movement skill set in satisfying and intuitive way. Most of the game is not that hard but there are few places that will really test your skills - especially if you want to max out the game. The game has comedic atmosphere and we laughed a lot during play-through. The music is catchy and graphics are pleasant to the eye. Be aware that the platforming might get challenging but rather satisfying to complete than frustrating. If you like 2D platform games - this is a title for you.

Fascinating world that feels so much strange yet familiar. The game has a really well told story with insane and gorgeous moments. Prepare yourself for walls of text that you will read with mixed feelings of fascination, tension and occasionally boredom. And you will smile or laugh more than few times. The game balances its humor and tension perfectly, so even when the moments aren't really funny, they will be hilarious for you, because the rest of the world was so dark. What this game is? It is a disco-noir buddy detective point & click game with side quests, statistics and dice rolls. If you want to play a classic cRPG game like Baldur's Gate - turn around. But if you want to play a classic pen & paper RPG where story matters - this will be a great game fro you. I love the art style of this game. Everything from character portraits to user interface and music is so well done. And if you afraid of the writing - don't be - the dialogues are really well written and it is a pleasure to read them. The game of course has its problems. The one that stands out is that you can get stuck. You jumped the fence too early? Be prepared to search for the exit for a long time. You forget to get some money to sleep tonight? load the game save from an hour age to solve this. Because everything is based on skill checks, there are quite a few things that you can miss and there is a temptation to either use a walkthrough or save-load brute-force combination.

I was attracted by the graphics and sound affects that are extremely pleasent. Then I was entertained by the metroidvania gameplay and focus on puzzles and finding the way rather than combat skills. And then I was charmed by the characters and how your relationship with them evolves through the story. Even if the story itself is not so engaging and the world, even if original lacks depth - the chemistry between characters is what kept me to the end of the game. And well, then I stay even more, because I had to "complete" it. It's an open-world. I had to pick up everything.

Not so pleasing as the first game when it comes to story and the atmosphere but the better controls and the addition of coop puts it on the same level as a first game. That is if you have someone to play it with. If not, then the first game was definitely better. But as a coop game it is worth playing. It is not so hard to get you both frustrated. I played it with my wife and we enjoyed it.

A family-friendly platform game with more focus on riddles and story than skills. As we are going through levels, we are uncovering the story of a family and a land that accompanied by music and nice visuals is really heart-warming.

8,5/10. Intriguing, immersive story. The game has excellent atmosphere with emphasis to the protagonists feelings and thoughts. The combat is not brilliant, but it is enough to keep your adrenaline at enough level to continue Senua's journey. The game has a few environment-based riddles that puts a little variety to the gameplay. Overall - recommended.

Divinity: Original Sin7
Jan 12, 2020
6/10 + 1 because of the perfectly executed couch coop. Short: The game with great combat system, but generic setting and the plot that you don't really care about. I loved levelling up, and hated music and visual style. Longer: What "Divinity: Original Sin" does very well is the combat system. Levelling up is slow and you rarely gain any new skill - and this was a great decision. After a while you perfectly understand every action you may take, its pros and cons. I played the whole game with my wife in a couch coop way and it was a great way to experience this game. However, I was expecting more from an RPG when it comes to plot and atmosphere. When playing it, I felt like I was playing a hack&slash game with turn-based combat. The atmosphere is dull, generic and the dialogs are poorly written. We either skipped through them or was bored by them. The silly tone both in visuals and in dialogues was more annoying than entertaining. We also hated the music that was so much anti-climatic. Especially that you have to listen to it over and over again during many many fights. The quests were designed in clever way, presenting many ways of solving them, using the game elemental interactions. But beware the riddles. I usually love riddles in the games, but most of them in this game, are based on finding a correct object that you don't know that you are looking for. Overall, it is a good game, but based on reviews I was expecting more. I was constantly comparing it to Pillars of Eternity, which I liked much more. If you want a good gameplay mechanics I encourage you to play "Divinity: Original Sin". But if you are looking for a good RPG, keep away from it.

Pillars of Eternity9

This review is based on playing the game with all the DLC's installed s few of my comments may not apply to the base game. The score says a lot. The game is amazing, huge and full of content. It took me 110 hours to complete it - almost 5 months and I don't regret spending my evenings with it. Some people sais that PoE is the worthy successor of the Baldur's Gate and other isometric RPG's. In my opinion, this game in many aspects is much better than the classic ones. I just loved the mechanics for storytelling - dialogue mechanics, little paragraph games, possibility to look into people souls and even just that you can click on some objects not to interact with them but just to get a basic description. Basic game mechanics has also improved compared to BG games. All of it seems just more intuitive and less annoying to use. I also loved the story, both in main and side quests. It is all connected to the lore of the world. It is nothing surprising but the length of the game and how the story is told just adds a lot to it. And one of the best things in the game - companions. Each of them has its own character, attitude, story and side quest. I loved the fact that they were commenting on events in the story - both in main and side quests. They were talking to you, with each other and with people they met. And it just not the base game characters. I was surprised that the final boss spoke to one of the characters from the DLC directly mentioning her own, personal story. The graphics and sound are amazing. This is what I expect from an evolution of isometric RPG formula. After so many hours of gameplay, the music gets a little repetitive but nothing you can't handle. Now let's talk about what is wrong with this game - the combat mechanics. At the beginning of the game, I was overwhelmed by all the statistics and modifiers. The game does nothing to ease the pain, so I studied what does what from the game wiki. When I finally learned it (at least a little) the game started to make more sense. But then after about 30 hours, I got tired of it. The combat becomes boring and felt like a painful duty. Same goes for leveling characters - it felt like a punishment rather than a reward. And there is a lot of fighting in the game - especially in DLC's - and there is no possibility to skip it. I mentioned that I loved storytelling. The game presents the story great with various mechanics, but the language it speaks is sometimes too confusing and too convoluted to handle. Sometimes I had to look to the journal and to the game wiki just to know what the vision I just saw meant. I would prefer to be told some things directly. To sum it up - great game with amazing story and characters but with a combat system that got me tired. I will play a sequel for sure, but I need to rest from the first part for a bit.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild9
Sep 8, 2019
My real score is 8/10 + 1 because of how well it is to play that game on a handheld console. The game is best described as the title itself - A Breath of the Wild. It has a story of saving the kingdom the evil forces but the story is not really engaging. The real pleasure is to get lost in the beautiful world of Hyrule. The game has a unique way of guiding you through the world. You will see very few map markers but the quest are rather constructer to give you guidelines on how to get to a point of interest. It is so well done that the search itself is in most times better than what you find in the end. To give you an example: You meet a little girl that tells you a story about her grandfather who climbed a nearby mountain. At the peak, he has found a white bird and in his belly, there was a treasure. So you go to your map where you find out where this mountain is. You climb to the top of it only to find out that you see no birds there - at least there are no white ones. You look carefully to see that one valley that is covered in snow is in the shape of a bird. When you go there you see that there is a large pit in the middle with the shrine in it. There you are - you have found the treasure. And this is just one of the many many riddles and adventures that you can find in Hyrule. It is great to play that game on the handheld. I have been playing it on a plane, in a tent during my vacation and on the sofa while my wife was watching TV. Breath of the Wild is great to play it 2-3 hours a day after a hard day at work. The best moments are when you decide to go to a new region and you just get lost there in search of shrines. On the other hand, it completely loses its charm when played in a docked mode in longer sessions. After playing it for a while longer, it feels... empty. The story is not well told, most of the side quest are just fetch quests. Nothing feels deep and you find yourself traveling from one point to another only to spend there a few minutes. Sure, the road is great but the lack of depth of tasks and characters can really kill the mood. Oh, and I hated the soundtrack. It is repetitive to the point that after 130+ hours of the game I felt super sick of it. One last thing is how well-designed mechanics in that game are. I don't want to write too much about it but every mechanic feels to be exactly in place. Temperature, Stamina, Weather - everything feels to be completing one another. And discovering how one mechanic interacts with the other is part of the fun as the game just does not tell you that.

A very good DLC to a great game. There are many things done better than in the base game and many things done worse. Let's look at the good things first. The dialogue scenes look more alive now. People just walking around made it look just better. Almost every side-quest has now some sort of twist that makes it unique. Side quests are overall a better experience (especially the one with the sunken cave). And I think the graphics are even better than in the base game. The snow looks just amazing. The machines are destroying the forest. Visually stunning. I still gave it a lower score than the base game. Why? First of all - fights. Aloy is a little overpowered at the end of the game so they had to make it even. How did they achieve that? By making the new monsters that are sponges for arrows. When the game asked me to kill 6 Fireclaws I changed the difficulty because the hunt felt more like work than a challenge. A second thing would be story and character design that seems just naive. The whole Banuk tribe treats you like a god after a couple of kills. All the characters are stupid and powerless when opposed to Alloy and it just feels awkward. Enough complaining. If you like the base game, you are going to like the DLC as well. It is more of the great game you like. And after completing it 100% and spending more than 20 hours to do so, I can recommend it. I hope more games had DLC's that add so more to the base game.

This is a great game for co-op play. But one thing to consider - it is not an easy game. All the players will have to sync their actions in order to achieve the perfect score. It is not possible to just sit in your corner and just prepare your meals. You will have to cooperate and think through your strategy several times. Should I chop the carrots and do the dishes or should we switch once in a while for a better result? Optimization is a necessary element of success in this game. There is also a variety of obstacles along the way. Mice will steal prepared food, the oven will switch place with the sink. Each level has another interesting way of ruining your cooking. It's a lot of fun to try to reach a max score for each of them (until you reach the DLC's. They are a nightmare - seriously don't try to max them out), Few things that stop me from giving a higher score: When the game becomes harder, the unprecise controls can be really irritating (you want to put this ingredient on the plate? Too bad it is next to the bowl of soup. Good luck making the whole dish again). Also when you reach the DLS's the game starts to be so hard it is no longer fun (an oven running away from you when your meal is starting to burn). I haven't tried it as a party game yet, but I will do that eventually. I have a great time playing this game.

LEGO The Hobbit7
Jun 5, 2019
I know that this isn't an official sequel to LEGO Lord of the Rings but I think it is fair to treat this game as such. And when compared to LEGO LOTR, LEGO Hobbit feels just a little worse. Few new mechanics were added. Super simple puzzles for building object seems like a good addition. While quick-time events may be nothing new in gaming and are not considered a great thing, these few scenes (especially dancing dwarves in Bilbo's house) using QTE are super fun. Characters also now have little circles underneath to indicate which player is controlling which character. Apart from that - nothing has changed. We still have this open world filled with fetch quests and collectibles that are so fun to explore. Little breadcrumbs bricks are leading us from one story level to another and it is a great thing to re-visit these lands of bricked Middle-earth once again. One thing that I hate is a decision to make the game out of just two films from the trilogy. They could have waited that one year or release it as a DLC. -1 to the total score for that. Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing this game. Finishing it 100% feels just great and rewarding. There is something pleasing and relaxing to play it with my wife after a hard day at work.

A good third part for LEGO Star Wars games. It is hard for better co-op games than LEGO games. Easy, addictive gameplay makes it a great way to play with more casual players (like your girlfriend or your kids). In the meantime, the gameplay is pleasing enough even for more demanding players. It is a good break from the harder titles. You can sit back, relax and smash some bricks. I had lots of lots of fun playing this game. Especially when I was doing a second run through the levels.
