clair obscure expedition 33 is a decent AA/Indie game that definitely worths giving a shot. but overly and unexpectedly overrated I don't understand why the meta score is so high. expedition 33 has a good graphics and is quite optimized despite being an UE5 game and i like the art style, the story is interesting enough to keep you playing but nothing like real masterpieces however the game has a lot of well done cutscenes which i appreciate, accompanied with an amazing **** unfortunately that's where the advantages end. the animations are outdated and don't match the nice graphics, some characters aren't well developed and worst of all the gameplay, the turned based combat is tedious and noticeably frustrating comparing to some turned based games i've played before (like south park games which were perfect turned based action) the game constantly pauses for an unnatural and interrupting and repitive combat that made me enable story mode to just see what happens next in the rather decent plot! so i just kept playing to the end just because of the story. the gameplay on the other hand failed like an outdated, poor imitation of old final fantasy games that even square enix found out is boring and old and abandoned. 6.75/10
brutally underrated like other mafia games, one of the best games of 2025 if not the best, should be goty nominee if not goty, it's based, the visuals, artistic and technical graphics are fantastic the plot and voice acting are incredible with an engaging and creative gameplay. it's a marvel in this age of pointless live service games.I subtraced one point because of losing the opportunity for a little more open world and side missions in the Sicil island and the animations are not as natural as the best AAA games however mafia toc is really fantastic with such a low budget and small development team. I hope 2k invests more on Mafia 4
rating after many years, overall very mediocre the combat is too clunky and repetitive and the gameplay is quite complex. the main story is great but too long and some quests are interesting but most of them are boring af
dull and bland story and charachters, the main character lacks voice acting which is immersion breakings. fortunately the gameplay isn't too complex but combat is very generic and with clunky animations. and the performance is horrible it stutters in crowded areas.
horrendous and unplayable and overrated as fk almost no story with a weak lore, clunky controls and horribly difficult and annoying gameplay. feels like an early ps3 game (which it actually was but expected improved combat). there are no checkpoints and if you accidentally fall you have to start all over! are you serious? this is the game that started the overrated and boring "souls like" parasite
Life is Strange 1 didn't need a sequel that's why LIS 2 had a different story and characters. anyway the game doesn't respect all of LIS 1 endings the story starts with a lot of potential but becomes boring and your choices don't matter in the dull ending and plot holes are left open. the game is woke af trying to shove all kinds of agenda in your eyes and throat (3 points subtracted for that) I hope dec nine will never make any game anymore
a very disappointing game from sonic team the game feels like ps3 era games with boring story and repititive tedious gameplay where you have to collect items in a dull open world with horrible design that doesn't fit Sonic's art style at all with weird floating platforms and random objects. you have to clear the map in a very tedious process and there are markers for items but when you go there there is nothing there! the open world design doesn't fit Sonic's gameplay and the total game design is horrendous and a shame for such an important and old franchise.
insomniac's spider man 2 is a masterpiece both in gameplay and story just like the first game everything is perfect and it takes very good advantage of dual sense
Banishers is a relatively descent AA game heavily inspired by the god of war soft reboot but it's quality wether in gameplay, story or graphics never gets even close. the two charachter gameplay is creative but the combat system is very basic and lacks weight. worst of all, the game and the plot becomes extremely boring and repetitive towards the end. overall it worths a shot with a huge discount.
Alan wake II is a crazy and masterfully crafted video game that proves sam lake and his colleagues in remedy are geniuses and it's certainly much much better than alan wake 1. the lighting and graphics are one of the best i've seen in a video game, I love the hazy and horror atmosphere of the game however the game is usually way too dark which is weird because even in daylight the environment is too dark and you have to use the flashlight, this is not realistic. the survival horror genre is not my favorite but the plot and storytelling in alan wake 2 is so amazing that it never stopped to impress me however at some points the story becomes a little confusing and hard to follow. the dual character system is really innovative and saga and alan's different gameplays adds variety to the game. the musics used in this game specially poets of the fall (old gods of asgard) songs are incredible. overall alan wake 2 is remedy's best game since quantom break and it's much better than control.
Halo Infinite is an underwhelming disappointment in both campaign and multiplayer, comparing to other shooter games halo infinite has a dull and unrealistic gunplay and the animations are horrible. the campaign is very tedious because the open world makes it sometimes extremely difficult to reach your objectives as mountains often stop you and I was stuck not knowing where to go. the plot of the game isn't interesting either. the multiplayer becomes boring even faster than the campaign. overall making halo openworld was a huge mistake which ruined the player experience.
THE MOST UNDERRATED GAME IN THE HISTORY OF VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY. after many years that I experience this masterpiece for more than 5 times, I remembered i haven't rated it here. Mafia II was the best game i'd ever played for a long time. the atmosphere, story, music, graphics, ... etc you name it it's so perfect in every aspect. after all these years, I'm still baffled by such a low meta score
Underrated and Underappreciated. The Guardians of The Galaxy game shows why we NEED linear story driven single player video games and it's like a fresh breath for those who are tired of empty open worlds and never ending online stress. At first i expected this game to be a failure like the avengers game but i was so wrong, even though i started playing the game pessimistically it managed to change my mind. the plot and the graphics are surprisingly good, the story is not predictable and it includes both funny and emotional moments. all characters are designed and voiced unexpectedly well and the environments are quite varied and beautiful. my only complaint is despite the acceptable variety of enemies, the combat becomes repetitive at some points which is usually prevented from becoming boring by nice cut-scenes.
Ratchet and clank rift apart is another excellent game by insomniac. the variety of weapons and environments is really good and it's graphics and lightning is so incredible that it looks like a pixar movie. however I enjoyed ratchet and clank 2016's story more and sometimes rift apart enemies and it's gameplay feels repetitive and the game is too short
Hogwarts Legacy could be one of the best games ever made but it wastes most of its potential by bad gameplay decisions and a bland story, as a harry potter fan i couldn't wait to play hogwarts legacy the game at least looks like a dream came true you can create a student and start exploring the unexpectedly huge but kinda lifeless world of hogwarts and its vicinity the graphics look amazing and the environments look breathtaking. However even though the game starts with a rather exciting plot, the story and the narration starts to become boring with bland charachters and tedious quests. the biggest problem with the game's gameplay is requiring you to reach a certain level or do some extremely confusing stuff or find a scarce item to unlock a quest!!! but I often couldn't understand how to even progress in the game which makes the game a tedious chore. 6.75/10
the game looks so horrible on ps4 that it makes me feel like it's 2005 again not 2023, everything else is quite good the story and the classic RE gameplay kept me from deleting it
watcg dogs legion is another typical Ubisoft tedious repetition with the same boring copy pasted formula and it's a huge step backwards comparing to wd and wd2, first of all the story is horrible and not exciting at all. not having a real protogonist and real characters made all of them seem the same. the missions also are the same almost all of them are infiltrating a base and stealing something or some data and escape. the combat and physics are ridiculously bad. the graphics are horrible the game looks like **** on ps4 i think it runs on 900p or occasionally 720p with constant framedrops on the same console that can run RDR 2 on 1080p! the only good thing about this game is it's environment design and good recreation of London but unfortunately it's all wasted
the graphics, level design and gameplay of crash 4 is quite good but the story? not so much. the big problem with this late sequel is that it's too damn difficult even with having checkpoints i died like 100 times in some levels and the last levels get rediculously hard where you have to be fast and perfect which is not always possible also the checkpoints are way too apart it ended up a nightmare to just beat the game and i couldn't even finish the game so i deleted it the original trilogy and other activision crash games had balanced difficulty but crash 4 is impossible to beat for me
not really funny with wasted potential, high on life is a mediocre game it was supposed to be funny thanks to roiland's voice acting and i bought it since i'm a huge fan of rick and morty but this is a bland shooter with bland enemies and mediocre level design there was a lot of opportunity in the game to make it actually funny but it is wasted it never made me laugh. there is nothing special about this game other than talking guns and good platforming i struggled to continue playing as i was so bored
horrendous, the graphics look horrible once dirt 1 was an example of good graphics but now dirt 5 looks terrible, the car models are laughable and the handling is even worse than arcade games wtf happened to code masters thay don't deserve this name. this game should have been a mobile game not a console game.
UPDATE: SCREW THIS STUPID S****Y GAME I CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE AFTER SEASON 2. I STUCKS ON CONNECTING I TAKES LIKE 30 MINUTES TO FIND A MATCH DOESN'T WORTH BUYING I REDUCE MY SCORE FROM 7 -> 0 a downgrade from MW 2019 however the game is still very addictive and fun but far from perfect the campaign is great and it has a good and exciting story. if only it was longer 6 hours is not enough i expected 10 to 12 hours. the 3 co-op missions are lackluster except maybe the 2nd one it seems like they toned down the realism in MP for some reason. my favorite modes, gunfight and gungame are missing, since you have to play with different guns to unlock parts for other guns(which is stupid and annoying) those two modes that you play with random guns could be helpful. I have a lot of connectivity issues on steam including update failed errors and not joining games. Update: the connectivity issues are mostly fixed after the recent update the optimization of the game is convincing for now but there are occasional frame drops. the file size of the game is far far better than the 150GB+ MW 2019. I hope they let you delete campaign after finishing and don't force you to download warzone to keep the file size low and i hate battle royale. the graphics of the game in single player mode is fascinating but not perfect. the lighting is a disaster comparing to MW 2019. MW 2019 had a natural and realistic lighting but MW II has a green/brown tint and high contrast making it a little cartoonish. even with high texture settings, some textures are terribly low res. the maps are meh non of them really stand out nor has it's own identity except maybe the hydroelectric map. that's because they focused too much on warzone and all mp maps are different parts of warzone 2 maps which is a terrible idea. remaking old maps could alleviate the lack of good maps. with more updates and making the running animations more smooth, and option for changing lighting and contrast, more optimization and fixing connectivity issues there is a good potential for this game. there is a great first person shooter experience in this game that is buried under many issues but it could turn to a great game with more updates just like MW 2019 did Update: the sbmm has made the game frustrating for me I'm a casual player but if i do a little good i have to face pro af players in next few matches. the better idea was to keep sbmm for ranked mode and make quick play/casual mode random just like other games do or at least show your skill level
considering that this game is AA I can accept some shortcomings and problems, a plague tale requiem has an almost interesting story that starts to get boring fast especially mid game it really gets boring and sometimes difficult but the last few chapters are well done and could get me invested in the story. the graphics are really good and the unique gameplay mechanics are creative and fascinating but the game is too damn long for this genre that the gameplay become repetitive. overall it worths buying and playing if you can get it with a discount and you're patient enough to last until the ending chapters. 6.5/10
I usually don't like horror genre but RE games are so classic and so special and RE 8 is no exception. the first thing you notice is the incredible visual design and graphics it's so realistic and optimized. the environment and world design of the game is also amazing the village area reminds me of RE4 and the spooky and horror aspect are very well done specially the beneviento level was my favorite regarding horror aspects. the game is so mysterious riddled with puzzles and hidden locations to explore but there is tooooo much backtracking and when i played it most times i was so confused and didn't know where to go and i had to search in the internet to find out where to go from here! which is very unpleasant. the story of the game doesn't make much sense but the way it's narrated is quite interesting. overall RE8 is worth buying but it's not for everyone i hope RE4 remake will be better
Yet another masterpiece from santa monica, just like gow 2018, ragnarok is not only fantastic bit even better this game should be GOTY 2022. there are no other games released in 2022 that are even close to Ragnarok. the plot and story expands the world of gow and it never stops to surprise you in a roller coaster of emotions and excitement, however there are still some plot holes and unanswered questions left that I won't spoil and there was far more potential if they made it a triology. the level design, gameplay and combat design is the best I've ever seen in any game both the axe and blades of chaos and then other weapons have outstanding animations and many combos you can master. the graphics are breathtaking to say the least and the music is not as epic as the original gow games like gow 3 but it's still great. overall i wanted to rate it 9 because of plot holes but the gameplay and design of this game is so good that i can't give any score lower than 10.
even though it has great visuals smooth and cool animations and ok combat design, Jedi fallen order could be a masterpiece but it's all waisted because of weird gameplay design. as you progress in the game it turns into a maze of boredom, the story gets boring and the game turns into maze that keeps confusing you. It's so annoying at some point you don't know where to go there is no fast travel option to get back to the ship so you are stuck in a maze like world and you can't find out where to go and the game makes you backtrack again and again and all enemies respawn if you die!!!. I couldn't stand this stupid gameplay loop anymore and deleted it and will never buy the sequels
Horizon forbidden west is more bigger than better comparing to horizon 1. the plot and cinematic cutscenes are really good the story expands the scope and the universe of the game and introduces new enemies. even though the plot of horizon 1 was better imo I don't have any problem with the story and narrative of this game since it's good enough for an open world game. the graphics of this game is gorgeous and vibrant and it has a huge and varied world for you to explore. but the problems start with the core gameplay and missions which is bloated and sometimes boring. I still have serious problems with the core concept of this game which is fighting advanced robots using bow and arrows and a spear that doesn't deal much damage we are fighting huge robots not bears and wolves or something! most times I struggled to find the weak spots of the enemy robots and if you shoot non vulnerable parts of them it deals little to no damage and it annoys me. the game constantly makes you confused and each enemy is like a puzzle, some people might find this cool but it's actually very annoying so in some boss fights I had no choice than setting the difficulty on story thank god the story difficulty exists. the side missions are so boring that i couldn't bother to continue doing them but if you don't do the side missions and just continue doing story missions you will end up much weaker than the enemies who move fast and shoot rockets at you and you only have a good old bow and arrow and a useless slingshot. overall I rank this game 7/10 just because of it's great story and universe even though I hate the core mechanics of this series' gameplay
miles morales is not as good as the spider man game but it's a descent stand-alone DLC with cool new mechanics and a nice snowy newyork, i didn't expect much but it's story isn't even nearly as good as the original spider man and as it actually was supposed to be a dlc it's too short, I'm looking up to spider man 2 with real improvement
I loved life is strange 1 and I was excited to play LIS 2 after all this time and I wasn't disappointed it is even slightly better, overall just like LIS 1 the story is so incredible and emotional that i couldn't wait between episodes and I just kept playing all since i have the complete edition however your choices don't make changes as much as in quantic dream games and a lot of sections of the game which could have some gameplay are just cutscenes. the graphics from an artistic perspective is awesome but what really shines in this game is the voice acting and music specially the kid who voice acted daniel did a great job. the variety of the endings is also good but i expected different paths.
I've been a playstation fan since ps1 and I had never played a geras game but thanks to microsoft for releasing xbox exclusive on windows I had the opportunity to play and finish gears 5. overall this game is very mediocre and not even comparable with ps exclusives. as some other people here mentioned, the controls are clunky and the covering system is weird. the graphics are more like early 8th gen graphics. the characters except markus and his son are bland and are not developed. generally the story isn't really exciting and it gets boring gradually, specially in semi open world levels it becomes very tedious. however at the last chapter the story becomes more exciting and amends the borefest that the semi open world chapters were but I don't care about and won't play any sequel to this story as it lacked enough emotion and excitement.
the naughty dog magic unfortunately since I played the last of us 2 late some important parts of the story were spoiled for me but that didn't stop me from playing it, first of all this game is another masterpiece from naughty dog the graphics, animations, sound, environment design and every technical and artistic factors are at the best level possible like uncharted 4 which is one of the best games I have ever played however technical and artistic stuff aside the story is a step backward from the last of us 1 and uncharted 4 It's story is quite exciting and interesting with good and natural characters with a good pace but some certain ideas are being promoted in this game that I don't like (you know what) but that didn't stop me from keep enjoying this technical masterpiece at all the enemy variety and their AI, the crafting system, stealth and the overall experience of the gameplay is incredible(just like tlou 1). overall it could have a much better story and could have gone in a better direction but the last of us part 2 is a masterpiece which totally deserved GOTY 2020 a very few companies in the world can make games as great as naughty dog games. I don't understand all the 0/10 scores you are uncomfortable with the political ideas and orientations promoted in this game (like me)? you could rate it 7. but how could you ignore everything else and the hard work that has been put in this great project!
ghost of tsushima is another sony exclusive masterpiece, the best thing i liked about this game is it's innovative combat gameplay which is hard to master but realistic and exciting, the world design and artistic graphics is beautiful and the story that takes place in this amazing island is even better and it's plot is great, the progression system is also nice and relatively straightforward, my only complain of this game is it's stupid wind navigation it's creative but it confuses the player a normal mini map or a top marker would be much better, there is no alternative option. overall ghost of tsushima is absolutely a masterpiece if it had a mini map option i'd rate it 10
the variety of game play and mixing different genres in this game is incredible, you can't find any co-op game that is as amazing as it takes two. this game totally deserved GOTY and the hazelight studio has a very bright future. the level designers of this game are truly genius. the only things that could be better are the story and technical graphics but it doesn't matter I couldn't ask more from a co-op game even the existence of this game is a miracle and I rate it 10 considering that a kinda indie studio made it.
I played this game and i could stand it only for 3 hours, just another extremely over hyped and overrated game by from software first of all the gameplay is a huge step backward from sekiro (even though i didn't like that game either) the combat is slow, clunky and tedious and most importantly unacceptably difficult without any option to customize the difficulty that's an industry standard that from software intentionally doesn't follow. other than difficulty which is no problem for those who have hours of time to die and retry (I don't, i'm a busy person aren't most of us?) the whole gameplay and the world of the game feels very old like early 7th generation games old. the world and the map is pretty much empty and it's funny that the critics are praising elden ring for being open world as if they have never seen an open world game in their life! while the game has a relatively good artistic design and as all from software games the bosses and enemies have amazing design but the technical graphics of the game is like ps3 games and not acceptable for a 9th generation game. as always the story of the game is just there... not interesting at all it doesn't motivate you to keep playing you are left in a huge map full of empty.. overall it's a big shame and saddening that this game has a meta score close to masterpieces like RDR 2, GTA 4 & 5, god of war, etc how the hell didn't even one critic didn't give this game a score lower than 90 I tried too hard but it's impossible to enjoy this game.
kena is a great game considering that it's made by an indie studio while the animations let me a little down, the graphics and the art style is really good and satisfying, the story is ok for a game of this scale, however it could be better, and the gameplay is a good and balanced mixture of platforming, combat and puzzles almost what you expect from this genre, overall kena bridge of spirits is the best indie game of 2021 and worths buying and experiencing.
this is the first age of empires game i have ever played, as a fan of rts genre i hate the gameplay of this game, it's boring and unimpressive and the graphics are a shame for a 2021 game the charachters are as big as building and they look stupid and slow and too unrealistic I miss the great rts games like warcraft and older stronghold games
days gone is an extremely underrated game, while it's generic and cliche and it borrows a lot of elements and features from similar games and despite it's very long gameplay time, it's great story and action adventure gameplay makes you keep playing. the charachter development and the charachters are really good and natural. the world of days gone is beautiful and it has an awesome graphics the bend studio has a lot of potential and sony should support them to make even better games
assassin's creed has been going downhill since origins but Valhalla is the worst of rpg ac games, everything is good and exciting as long as the story takes place in norway but in england the story and missions start becoming boring, the characters are bland and they don't have any feeling the world of the game is big and beautiful with convincing graphics but it feels empty filled with pointless objectives the main plot is also very stupid comparing to the classic AC games this isn't AC any more. the combat is terrible in this game and it becomes repetitive very fast and doing these simple moves for more than 50 hours is also boring and the game is toooo long i've played for 20 hours and I feel this borefest never ends.
final fantasy 7 remake is the first ff game that I've ever played and it is surely one of top 10 ps4 exclusives it's story is really good and it's graphics are amazing. ff7 remake has a lot of exciting and creative boss fights I've rarely seen a game with this much boss fights but despite that the game doesn't have enough variety and sometimes it feels too long and repetitive the fighting system is also generic and the difficulty settings are not balanced normal is very hard and easy is tooooo easy. with all that said, I can't wait for the sequel I hope they add more variety and more different environments to the sequel and no more sewer levels please!
terrible performance and even not really good graphics the game feels too old (which it actually is) but even for a remaster it's terrible I'm not sure if I can keep playing it
this game is a boring mess you have no motive to keep playing, I love interactive movie like games such as quantic dream games and life is strange and even some telltale games, but tell me why is so slow and boring and it's story as a whole isn't good for a video game the only good thing about it is the visuals
the stronghold series continues it's downfall with "warlords" I'm playing it and I don't like it, every stronghold game after stronghold 3 was a failure including warlords which is the worst one yet, it's graphics are bad and and it has a weird red tint, the same old mechanics remain, it's story isn't interesting and the gameplay is boring while the older games were enjoyable this one ****
well, cyberpunk 2077, one of the most controversial games ever, is it really as bad as people say? I had to play it myself to find out the truth so here is my review according to my about 20hrs playtime: there was a lot of hype around the game and the devs lied about a lot of the features of the game which turned out to be lies but the game isn't as bad as people say. the biggest (or maybe only) advantage of cp2077 is it's story and narrative, while your choices don't impact the story as much as I expected, it's story has been really exciting from start until now the characters are also good. when you play cp2077 you feel you are experiencing an incomplete mess which could be a masterpiece if more time was spent working on it, the game lacks necessary details that you expect from an open world game, the npc and enemy ai is terrible, the vehicle handling is aweful, animations aren't natural and you will see a lot of bugs, including game breaking ones. on the other hand there are many weopons and upgrades and various missions that you can enjoy the main missions are good (bugs aside) but most of the side quest are boring imo. while nightcity is designed very well and the game's graphics are nice (especially lighting) the game's world feels empty and lifeless. the game isn't optimized even on pc, I had to lower the resolution to 90% and lock the fps to 30 while I can play other games with better graphic settings. overally I think cyberpunk 2077 worths playing, especially if you have a descent PC, you will surely enjoy it's beautiful graphics and exciting story.
insomniac's spiderman is everything that you expect from a super hero game, it's narrative is amazing from start to finish and It's gameplay and combat system is very enjoyable, the side quests could be better though. the game runs smoothly and beautifuly even on basic ps4, if you have a ps4 don't miss this masterpiece
darksiders 3 is worse than the previous games the gameplay and combat is boring and clunky, I don't like it's darksouls style, dark siders 2 was much better, I bought this game to play "darksiders" not "dark souls" because i hate souls games
I played serious sam 1 when i was a kid and i really liked it, it was a very cool and enjoyable game back in early 2000s I didn't play 2 and 3 but I had been waiting for 4 since it was announced and how disappointing it is, the game looks like an early 7th gen game but that's tolerable it's story and character design is dull and stupid the enemies also have bad 3d models despite good designs in the artbook surprisingly serious sam 4's gameplay and level design hasn't made much progress since serious sam 1, you just have to fight waves of enemies spawning in a bad order with their 0 AI and that becomes boring very fast I'm glad that the game isn't really long like doom at least this is better than doom. overall this game isn't what I hoped that would be I'm not sure if it worths playing
it's Unplayable, I love tsubasa animes but this **** game is f*****g unplayable, it's gameplay is so stupid, scoring goals is impossible and it's animations are horrible I had so much excitement for this game but it turned out to be a disappointment
Unfortunately just like mafia 2, the mafia remake is underrated again, with it's amazing story, very good graphics and by doing a great job at recreating lost heaven, mafia definitive edition is one of the best games released in 2020 and deserves a much higher score I really enjoyed it but it's a pity that hangar 13 lost a great opportunity to make the game more open world and add more adventures and activities unlike some previous games, you can't buy cloths, do side missions, buy guns and or do mini games. the gunfight and combat were rushed during development and could be much better and while I like linear games more but the game is too linear for a franchise that is known for being open world. however the main missions and the story is great enough to cover all that problems
a beautiful and nostalgic recreation of CTR which I used to play and love when i was a kid, however it's not quite what I expected, when I compare this game with mario kart 8 it's not as exciting to play it's drifting and driving system feels outdated, the adventure mode is too short and the difficulty settings are not balanced, easy mode is toooo easy and medium is tooo hard, on the other hand this game has a good number of game modes and tracks to enjoy with your family and friends
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a step back comparing to rise of tomb raider which was kinda a masterpiece, still shadow is a great game, there are very few AAA linear single player games nowadays and this game has a really good plot with exciting action adventure gameplay and interesting puzzles but it's gunplay is like last gen games.
Need for Speed Heat is an unbearable mess and a shame for nfs franchise the graphics and optimization on pc are terrible the whole image is ghostly the sun is too bright only night graphics are good I had to use reshade to make it tolerable it's story is nonsense and it's gameplay and progress system is tedious af even payback was much better actually i finished payback and completed it's campaign but I can't stand this s**t the game is filled with bugs, audio bugs happen frequently. hopefully a different studio will make next nfs games
