Dustborn is an Antifa Terrorist Fascist simulator where you play as exactly that. It's the wokest game ever made and filled with cringe to the extreme, it will fill you with second hand **** "heros" are unappealing stereotypical alphabet people taken straight from Antifa mugshots. For the sake of diversity they included straight white men - but only as the racist evil guys you have to beat. The setting is a dystopian U.S.A. - led by a guy who looks like JFK of all people. This "game" was made first and foremost for the political "Anti-Trump" and pro-left messaging. Story, world building and gameplay were secondary and it shows.Cringe dialogue options "You're a RACIST!" and combat done with words, because words are so evil win this game the title "Cringiest Game Ever Made". Avoid like the plague.

Reject modernity - embrace monkey! The devs gave the middle finger to Stinky Baby Inc. They made their game as they wanted without any forced adjustments. As of today it sits at 96% "Overwhelmingly positive" on Steam Reviews and the sales are going through the roof. Compare that to games with Stinky Baby Inc. involvement - o, they're all filing for bankruptcy, LMAO. I guess the Stinky Baby doesn't sell, huh? Black Myth: Wukong delivers what it promised: a solid Souls-likish game with challenging combat and stellar graphics (OMG, the graphics!!!). It's based on a 16th century novel "Journey to the West". You don't need to read it to follow the story, however. Combat flows nicely and the focus isn't on character building / RPG elements. It's good - no, not great, not GOTY material - and well worth its price.

Another game ruined by the Stinky Baby. They came in and changed the main character (who is now modeled after Stinky Baby's CEO Kim Belair, talk about being self-obsessed, geez!). They also made changes to the story to preach a "colonization is evil" agenda. Wokeness truly is a cancer that should not be tolerated in entertainment. But even when disregarding all of this it's just a below average Dark Souls clone that literally every other Dark Souls clone does much better. Avoid like the plague.

I might be in the minority, but I never actually liked DRAGON AGE: ORGINS (or BALDUR'S GATE I & II). My main gripe is with the combat system: personally I believe a party based RPG must be turn based PERIOD. The system that Baldur's Gate established and Origins continued plays like a realtime strategy game, think Warcraft or Command & Conquer. Sure, you can pause the game any time, but the AI is so completely braindead that you have to micro manage each character or (at higher difficulties) face death. My mage for example will cast his spells and then run off to engage in melee combat. Every time you call him back behind your tanks he waits 2 seconds, then engages in a melee suicide mission again. This constant micro managing already plays like a turn based game, they should have gone that route. Apart from the terrible combat system come a few lengthy parts that I could have done without: worst offender being the "fade" levels, which drag on for far too long and happen too often. The entire segment in the mage is just a slog and prevented me from playing Origins a second time. If you want a good outcome in one of the quests and want to play a mage for a main character you will be forced into the "fade" two more times! Hence it gets a 5 out of 10 from me "mediocre". I played through it once, it was a slog and I will never touch it again.

I was really interested in this game, but unfortunately it is infested with DEI and feminism. One of the main characters is a black female, because of course she is. BUT she is also the boss, which is emphasized more than once in a pretty bad "on the nose" manner. The male main character is your typical Beta Boy, complete with the man bun and an extremely submissive attitude. He needs to be rescued by two different girl bosses during the game. All the main characters are strong girl bosses. All male characters are either weak, submissive or stupid or all three. One early mission involves a gay couple (in 1695???). That aside, the game's combat is underwhelming (think Vampyre-like). You'll be fighting the same enemies, run from checkpoint to checkpoint and watch cinematics. So if the extreme wokeness doesn't bother you, you will get only an average game at best. I for my part am sick of the wokeness and will not spend a penny on such games. Do as you see fit.

It's average. Playing through the main campaign is fine - once. But - and this is a problem with this genre in particular - it gets repetitive really fast. The monster variety is poor and I am seriously burnt out on desert biomes to the point where I can't abide them anymore. The balancing is off, too. Difficulties 1-3 are too easy, in difficulty 4 many things oneshot you for no reason. Overall the game offers very little for its price tag ($70): the seasonal content is restricted unless you get your wallet out (after paying $70 for the base game!), and if you want the expansion (and one new class) be prepared to fork out another $40 for the standard edition (or $90 if you're insane and need the ultimate edition). I found the game world rather small for being an open world - Grim Dawn's world is larger and feels more "alive". The skill trees are disappointing after seeing the first drafts they have been significantly "dumbed down", not as bad as in Diablo III but close. The paragon board (past level 50) is the pointless +1% of x filler material and underwhelming. The quests are the same mindless gather & fetch quests that get boring and tedious real fast. Overall the best aspects of the game are its visuals (definitely the best looking ARPG out there) and whoever had the brilliant idea to cast Ralph Ineson should be made President of Blizzard and get a major pay raise. A major Con is the always online requirement. Coupled with the frequent crashes and disconnects nothing is more aggravating than getting a special item with the game crashing in the wrong moment and not "remembering" that certain item, which is why I'm subtracting 2 points.

Planet exploration is bland and boring , so much so that even Bethesda realized it and made only a small fraction of each planet's surface explorable. 5 Years of Early Access for THIS? LAST EPOCH wows for all the wrong reasons: how can a game that is graphically this outdated and underwhelming have such long loading times? This is not a launch issue, this was even before launch. To start up the game" wait 10 mins. To enter the world: another 5 mins. It looks underwhelming (version 1.x), the combat feels slow and clunky. Gameplay is repetitive and the world is just meh. There is way too much focus on crafting. Even if you disregard all the launch issues (which will be fixed) the game is average at best. - Combat doesn't flow it drags and is clunky. - You spend too much time dealing with items (crafting, selling, etc.) - Story and game world are meh at best - Zero customization options for classes (I thought we were past the gender locked class system??) - overall technical level of the game is badly outdated and doesn't justify the long load times (even pre-1.0 launch) - repetitive gameplay Even average ARPGs such as Van Helsing & Chaosbane are better choices than this (and cheaper)

UNDERwhelming: It looks awful (seriously it looks like a game over 10 years ago with obsolete graphics even for that era!), it runs even worse. And it's repetitive (not as bad as Deathloop, but close). For Single Players absolutely don't get this not even on sale. Don't waste your time on Gamepass either. For multi players you can bump the rating up to a 2, but wait till it's on sale for $20 max, that's all it's worth. $70 is an outrage for this half-baked, buggy and overall UNDERwhelming sh!+show. For $70 you get slide shows instead of cinematics, AI that doesn't work, assets that have the wrong proportions (hands!)! and an empty game world. Textures are in 2D in a distance and only become 3D objects at a (very) close distance. The shooting isn't really good either, especially since the enemy AI is braindead and you can literally walk up to enemies and one-shot them with a backstab (no sneaking required). Some enemies can't get around a vehicle and get stuck in an endless walking animation. Various items are highlighted with the prompt "press E" but are not usable in any way (such as small vehicles or even NPCs, this seems like some features were just cut last minute. Then there's the bland cliche Player characters, one of whom is in student debt (really???) and generic sniper. Side Quests are simple fetch quests that are boring as hell. Everything you do and see in this game you've done and seen hundreds of times before. I've seen Indie games of MUCH better quality! This is triple A in name (and price) only.

It replaces it with weird ideas like a gluegun (WHY?). The enemies are shadowlike creatures that are pretty cool, not gonna lie, but the mimics that jump up for cheap jump scares get old really fast. The graphics are seriously dated and the game world is sterile, not at all what what a space station would be like. Forspoken is NOT really woke. Just making the main character a black female New Yorker does not make a game woke. Check out the New York demographic. The real problems why Forspoken is a below average game are: 1) technical issues (framerate drops, stuttering) graphically it's not impressive (will probably be fixed eventually) 2) gameplay: it feels like watching a movie. Expect a LOT of cutscenes. Remember the "interactive" CD-ROM movies in the 1990s? First hour feels like that. 3) Unlikable characters. No, it's not because she's black, so stow the "racist!" outcry. Faye is a total biotch. She's a terribly written, constantly cussing entitled, whiny POS. Unfortunately she isn't the only one. The talking bracelet is annoying as hell, several other character you wish you could just kill off to silence them (which you can't. I tried). 4) expect pop-up triggers (press "E" to do this) and numbers (damage done) everywhere. The designers don't even trust you can do a sneak mission on your own: you have to follow a character (with a marker on top of her head!) as she does the sneaking for you! 5) generic enemies with braindead AI and genereic, empty world 6) it's $70 !!! Really!? It's not even worth $50! If you buy it (which you shouldn't) wait for a 75% discount.

It's been 2 years. As of patch 1.52, the game is still a buggy mess and it still FAILS to deliver on its hype and promises and at this point it is safe to say it never will. Many promised features (multiplayer) got scrapped completely. It's a ray tracing tech demo, nothing more, and to be honest the RED Engine ain't that great! While the ray tracing and the city looks fine, the character models DON'T. The open world is still sterile and lifeless, NPCs are brain dead and the police still can't drive. Immersion? Don't make me laugh (I mean CRY, I spent $60 on this garbage). Metro system they promised? Nah. It also manages to look worse than the 2018 E3 demo (another downgrade just like in the Witcher 3). All those different ways to solve quests they promised? Another lie: choose between hacking (sort of cyber-sniping), shooting or melee'ing your way through the thugs. Awesome choices indeed - and done in just about every modern game nowadays. Then there's the bugs: T-poses in cut scenes still persist, plot-stopping bugs, too. I encountered a bug where I could not start an essential mission. Want to play a GOOD cyberpunk shooter? Buy NECROMUNDA: HIRED GUN instead. It's a billion times better than this. I regret buying this garbage. It isn't even worth $10. This will be the last CDPR game I'll buy. Uninstalled for good. RIP CD Projekt-RED. Dragon Age Yawnquisition is the perfect example in how *not* to make an Open World game: - the game world is sterile: NPCs are anchored at a specific spot and don't respond to the environment - there is no day and night cycle - randomly spawned in encounters include: mages vs. templars, mage vs. templars and templars vs. mages! Using the same character models over and over again makes this even worse. - enemy AI is terrible: enemies on a hill can't find a path to attack you below. - quests: fetch x amount of y and bring to z. Almost exclusively! Then there's the rest of the game: - butt-ugly character models that look like they were from 2002. - dumbed-down RPG elements (this is more an action-adventure than an RPG, let's be honest here!). - loses the dark & gritty setting of Dragon Age 1 for more of a pop artish style. Yuck! - controls are horrendous. Don't have a controller? Better not try playing it then! Mouse & Keyboard controls are almost unplayable. - went woke (comments about transgenderism in a time before transgenderism even existed?!) So, Blizzard ditched what made Diablo 1 & 2 so fascinating: the dark fantasy atmosphere and replaced it with a cartoony look. They also simplified the RPG elements to near non-existence. There are no skill trees, no personalization, all Monks get access to all skills that can be slotted and changed on the fly. The difficulty was also significantly dropped. Bosses of Diablo 1 make a comeback in the most cringe way. The Butcher pops into an arena-like boss room in cleaned-up kiddie-friendly way, looking all cuddly like a Saturday morning cartoon. The boss room is sterile and devoid of any blood - nothing like when you met him in the far superior Diablo 1. The classes are lackluster as well. Of the base game only the Wizard was good. The Add-on at least gave us the Crusader which I found to be the only class worth playing. If you want the Diablo 2 favorite Necromancer be prepared to fork out more $ for an add-on that only gives you that class and nothing else. Diablo 3 has zero identity. Everything that made D1 & D2 so great is gone. Then D3 recycles the entire 2nd Act of D2 in Act 2 of D3. The new art style is terrible and Blizzard just mocked fans for complaining about it.

I love sci-fi/horror in space, and Dead Space is the very definition of that. There are some minor gripes like keyboard controls being a bit sluggish, the zero gravity sections being a pain to control thanks to the enemies, but what the game nails is the atmosphere which makes you forget these few short comings. They also removed the turret section which is also a huge bonus. This will tie us over until System Shock Remake comes out which hopefully the devs won't botch. Wow. They finally released an RPG that ditches the horrible real-time with pause combat in favor of turn-based tactical combat, then they botch the presentation. :S Solasta is an eye sore ****: be it the character models which look like PC's first 3D attempts in the late 90s and a horrible UI which looks like Windows 8. Expect to do a lot of reading since there is hardly any voice acting. Worst thing by far though: some classes and subclasses (Warlock) and races (Orc) as well as dungeon assets for the dungeon maker that should have been included in the base game (which is overpriced at $40 as it is) are only of available through DLC: 3 of them ranging from $8 to $13 each! I'm giving it an "average" 5: the combat is good but it's an ugly and clunky game that will take a lot of getting used to. It 's not a $60 game (full price is $40, which is still a bit steep for a C-class game) but at a discount for starved RPG fans it might be an ok purchase. Unfortunately if you want access to some of the better classes/races (warlock) you need to fork out extra $$ for DLC, so that's another point off the rating being a final 4 out of 10. You'll end up paying close to $70, more than a triple A game for a C-class game (at best)! This is an audacity!

The game's major flaw is that it's real-time with pause. That coupled with a braindead AI requires micro-managing each of the 6 party members every 2 seconds because if you don't the mages will just run into melee and get themselves killed. Real-time with pause was terrible in Baldur's Gate and it's terrible here and it really REALLY needs to die. I love isometric RPG's but only if they are done like Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2 or Baldur's Gate 3. Another huge downside: it does the same BS that the outdated BG 1 (& 2) did: only a couple of words of some conversations are voiced - and there are a LOT of conversations. Might as well read a novel and don't have to deal with the terrible combat system. PoE 2 at least added the option for superior turn-based combat, but that is only a band-aid option as the game is still designed around real-time and it shows.

You are evil. The question is how much so? That was a brilliant idea instead of the typical fantasy trope of saving the world. A bit short though. Don't expect an epic game here, you should beat it within 20 hours, which isn't long for an RPG. The devs argued with replay value, but I still think 20 hours is too short and replay value is not valid for everyone. Hence 5 out of 10. It just made the "average" mark.

Yet another Dark Souls clone - yawn! Enough already! Souls mechanics aren't that great to be copy & pasted over and over again! There is nothing new to see here, you once again collect [insert game currency] after slaying enemies, when you die you respawn at the last [insert game save point] you rested at and have one chance to reclaim [game currency] by returning to that spot without dying again. Using [game save point] also respawns all enemies except for bosses. The game's main goal is to fight bosses and mini bosses, yada yada, nothing new here. Steelrising drops the grimdark atmosphere in favor of an overly colorful 18th century France backdrop with robots(!). I prefer the dark fantasy which is why this one rates even lower than Thymesia for me. Graphics themselves are alright but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the game is very poorly optimized so be prepared for a lot of stuttering - in a game that relies entirely on timing! Frame dips are frequent this is an absolute no-go. How these 10 out of 10 morons simply ignore this is beyond me. The reason some reviewers seem to get overly excited about Steelrising's graphics probably is due to the fact that the big front runners FromSoft have delivered their games with the same outdated graphics engine from 2011 on and all other titles look next gen by comparison. Steelrising also makes the mistake of putting a $50 price tag on this game. Sorry it's a C game lacking anyinnovation, worth $20 max! Definitely a wait for a deep deep sale and only if you are a die hard Souls fan and need to own every game in this "genre". There are much better titles (Mortal Shell, Lords of the Fallen) than this. I've encountered 2 on my 2 recent attempts to replay, both times essential quests will not trigger. This is unacceptable - ironically the pathfinding of the party is terrible: getting stuck on terrain that is different, and why is it that when my party spots a trap I have to maneuver every single party member past it with baby steps? Why can't they just avoid spotted traps on their own, if it is possible? - the puzzles! They **** and are a waste of time! - the crusades system feels just as tacked on as Kingmaker's kingdom management - crusade system turned on "automode" will lock you out of certain mythic paths (eg Lich) - controls are not precise (turn based mode), lacks an undo function. This is due to the game being designed for real-time with pause - traveling done by overhead map. Devs should have ditched the Crusade system and instead made the game world be a connected map like in Divinity Original Sin 2 or Baldur's Gate 3 - too many random encounters - too many time consuming random events - some missions go on for too long (Gray Garrison, Drezen) - lackluster DLCs - comicy art style - very little of the text is actually voiced - a lot of annoying things, such as: skill checks that are way out of your league, level draining monster SWARMS (a good DM knows to use them sparingly!), and way way too many traps (some rooms have three or more traps). - many gameplay mechanics not sufficiently explained (don't have the tabletop rulebooks? Well **** to be you!) Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous could have been the best cRPG of all times, were it not for a) the bugs and b) the cheap overhead map traveling. If Owlcat hat created a "seamless" world like in Divinity Original Sin 2 or Baldur's Gate 3. Also some of the endless missions could have been slightly shorter (looking at you, Drezen!). It's a pity that there are so many bugs, even with the "Enhanced Edition" patch (which is a lie, since there are no real enhancements, the promised enhancements were scrapped last minute, I'm taking another point of the rating for that). A few quality of life features were added (search function in the inventory) but that does NOT justify the term "Enhanced Edition" at all. The graphics are very outdated, only a few lines are voice acted, mostly around the main quest line. Technically the game is several years behind. So much potential for a 10 out of 10. Ends of being a 6 out of 10 due to MANY bugs and several design flaws.

That little kid that you have to escort around 100 % of the time is annoying. And you can't kill him or throw him to the wolves. Who the hell wants to play a never ending escort mission???

OK. I'm torn here. I really liked the HD upgrade and the quality of life improvements. BUT the aMANzon looks like a ****! WTF is up with morons nowadays making women as ugly as possible? And why does the Paladin now have a hairdo from the 70s?? Since I only play as a Necromancer I can overlook these faults and it's not a complete failure. There is one major issue that was bad back then, and is worse now: set item rarity and drop rates. Some items have a drop rate of 0.something %. I am never gonna spend hundreds of hours farming for items in any game.

GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition is the video game version of that girl selling her farts in a jar. I can't really blame her (Rockstar) but the people buying it are brain dead.

It's a walking simulator. Kojima is selling you a walking simulator. You play a mailman. One without a vehicle. You walk from A to B and deliver packages. You don't even get to fight. This has got to be the most boring game ever made.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be my last Ubisoft game. Ubisoft has reached creative bankruptcy. While yes, each Ubisoft game gets better on a technical level, gameplay wise there is ZERO progression. Valhalla plays exactly the same as Odyssey and Origins. Far Cry 6 plays exactly the same as New Dawn and Far Cry 5. Ubisoft is selling you the exact same game over and over again with slightly updated graphics and a different theme. The open world consists of simple icon hunting - a boring huge open world with minigames scattered all over for you to tick off. Flashing icons everywhere, constantly the game tells you "press x to do y". Valhalla has really nothing to do with the original series either anymore. What started as Assassins vs. Templars brought us to Ancient Egypt and Greece and now to the Vikings in England. Stealth kills - the main game mechanic of the original games - are meaningless. You can go in anywhere and just hack & slash your way through armies of enemies. Why call it Assassin's Creed? By far the most annoying aspect of the game is when they break immersion and drag you into the present to play as some Layla chick. WHY? I have exactly ZERO interest in this character.

Hot contender for worst game of 2022. They literally took everything that made Saints Row 1-4 fun and tossed it out. What is left is a low quality rip-off of GTA, MINUS the fun. Graphics are a good 10 years behind, quests are repetitive and tedious, and the bugs! Think Cyberpunk 2077 launch bug fest! Worst offender are the characters. Gone are the beloved characters such as Gat or Shaundi, replaced by absolute trash characters that I just want to kill off and not coop with. Their goal: to pay off student loan. And bash capitalism. Really? That's the best they could come up with??? They are the diversity hires of the gaming world and just absolute cringe. Coupled with totally abysmal writing this is a recipe for disaster making you yell at the characters to just ****! Unfortunately you can't shoot them ( I tried). Then there's the visuals: atrocious! When you go out of town into the desert you could mistake the game for Rage 2 - it looks almost the same from the washed out desert graphics to the pink arrows on the road telling you where to go next. Dumbed down gameplay (auto-aim), a bland, empty, boring open world. This piece of absolute garbage has NO REDEEMING features. Not one. This is a turd ****.

One of the few GOOD Souls games. It's fairer than the FromSoft titles and it looks better. Atmosphere, enemy and armor design are also much better. World design unfortunately is not. There is one fixed player character (Harkyn) which you can chose to be a fighter, cleric or rogue, but otherwise there is no customization options as to how he looks. Fortunately they did not botch the character (like giving him a man bun or making him look like a girl), so as far as pre-made characters go this one is really good. Overall I liked Lords of the Fallen, it's not as good as Mortal Shell but it beats any FromSoft game for sure!

This is SUPERIOR SOULS. Yes, it is better than anything From Soft has ever made. Why? Because the devs are not a$$holes! There are fair saves right in front of every boss room. THIS is excellent game design. Atmosphere and world design are excellent and even beat Bloodborne. Fights are hard enough without the cheapness of FromSoft's games. The combat has actually tactics involved instead of simply memorizing enemy moves. FromSoft: take notes, you have met your master!

Elden Ring

No, Elden Ring is NOT a masterpiece, it is "just" ok. Basically it's Dark Souls 3.5 with the only real "improvement" being an open world. What I like about the open world is that there are no quest markers, no Question Marks, no icon overkill on the map. Elden Ring still retains all the annoying souls mechanics, like resting at (insert souls resting point) restores enemies, getting killed drops (insert souls currency) with you getting one shot at retaining them and of course the ridiculous difficulty that manages to exclude a huge amount of gamers. It also is guilty of reusing assets and animations (graphics have not really been upgraded from DS3, sound effects remain 100% identical). Worst offender however are the controls: after all these games FromSoft is either incompetent or unwilling to make functioning keyboard & mouse controls. If you release a game on PC then you have no excuse whatsoever to make it unplayable on mouse & keyboard.

It's a (very) poor man's Bloodborne. There are much better alternatives on the PC such as MORTAL SHELL or LORDS OF THE FALLEN. Thymesia is just an exercise in mediocrity: mediocre presentation (with absolutely no voice acting whatsoever), mediocre story, mediocre atmosphere, mediocre levels and mediocre enemy design. Why bother?
