Paradox Interactive does nothing but disappoint :( They have a voice in the head character like Johnny Silverhand. If you like Cyberpunk 2077, think about all the reasons why you love it. You'll find very little of that in this game. It's bad. It's not well done. It's sloppily put together. It has nonsensical design. I feel like Paradox Interactive games get in the general ballpark of being good games but then just end up falling flat and missing the mark.

Undertale was pretty good because of good music, at least one interesting boss fight with Sans, and interesting enough charachters. Deltarune's music is mediocre, the writing is cringe and boring, and the characters are unentertaining and unenjoyable. The game design remains largely the same as Undertale, barely any innovation or additions - just a lot of steps backwards and same old at this point.

Ignore the antiwoke bigots who haven't actually played the game. I was put off by the characters initially, but when you actually play the game they actually work very well and they have been very interesting characters so far. The writing isn't as strong as previous games, but it suffices and could be a lot worse. The other characters in the game look great for the most part and the game looks great. I like this a ton more than Inquisition, which I couldn't even get myself to play through. I'm early in the game and so far the game hasn't been very tactically challenging, but I'm hoping it will get deeper as the game goes on and you gain more abilities and more enemy types are introduced.

I don't think visual novels are good video games and the story for this game was not better than most you can find in an actual video game. It was mildly interesting, but ultimately was fairly shallow, more nonsensical than I could suffer, and overall uncompelling. I think I could've enjoyed it if the writing offered something more profound, intelligent, or poignant - but it didn't, really.

I really want to like this game, but it is just often not enjoyable. It's often tedious and is overall very uncompelling on most fronts (gameplay, animations, graphics, story, characters, UI, lack of proper tutorials/explanations, lack of map variety, etc., etc.). If you have mates to play with though, that should be able to help a lot with it being more fun. Overall, the game is just not fun and not well made. There is no depth to anything and the balance is not good. The game is extremely shallow and you're basically playing on the one same, boring, uninspired map every time. Additionally, this is barely different than FtK 2. It's THE LAMEST sequel I've played all year, by far in terms of lacking and quality innovation from its predecssor. Also, while the game surely is much better in coop with good friends, it's incredibly buggy more so when trying to play multiplayer. This current state should've been an Early Access at best. But Iron Oak would rather swindle us and have us pay for their unfinished game.

This game is tragically plagued by nonsensically awful game design on the finer detail level (things like UI issues, no glossary, lack of providing pertinent information so the player can make informed decisions, etc.). On the more macro scale, the game demands $50 (not to mention Day 1 DLC character for extra $$$) for what feels like a $25 game in terms of things like animations, graphics, maps, and gameplay - all of which are pretty shallow and low-quality. If you compare this to games like XCOM and Fire Emblem 3H, it's just kind of really unsatisfying and unsophisticated. There are real time and turn-based portions of the game. The real time gameplay has like 0 progression to it and needs a LOT more polish than it got. Also, the game is riddled with bugs. Lots of abilities don't work as they should and the AI is often attrocious.

I usually like Bethesda games (though never tried 76). I also liked the Mass Effect games (though never tried Andromeda). Unfortunately though, I can not say that I like Starfield. It just misses the mark. There are SO many issues I could talk about - I actually wrote out a list. I doubt anyone wants to read that though so the main points are that 1) The narrative of the quests and companions are not engaging enough. That is to say, most of the game is quite boring. Occasionally there is an interesting character or interesting event, but it's not enough 2) The performance is not good and the game doesn't even look that good 3) The combat is too bare bones. It's just too boring. The AI is bad, itemization isn't interesting, etc. 4) There UI and systems are too much of a mess. I have to Google things WAY to much. There needs to be WAY more tutorials. 5) The planets are too ridiculously similar to each other and too ridiculously similar to Earth 6) Surveying the different planets is too ridiculously tedious and unrewarding. So are building outposts. There not being any kind of grav bike or other land vehicle to use is also very stupid. 7) The NPCs are so ridiculously unrealistic and dialogue is poorly done. This is especially embarrassing when you compare it to works by Larian and CD Projekt Red

However, I'm just really glad they released it on PC even if they did stick to stupid artificial hardware exclusivity for a while so I'm going to give it a 10 despite its flaws. The content of the game itself is quite good and a mostly very well done remake that looks awesome. The performance issues, at least for me, can mostly be fixed by mods. I also have some qualms with certain aspects of the balance, but these two have been addressable with mods. There are also some very interesting mods already that enhance and improve the game in other aspects.

Performance for me is not great, but it's playable and I've been enjoying my time in Night City so far. Not like Borderlands 3 which I had to refund because it played so poorly. Runs at about 50 fps for me on my low mid-range PC. The game feels fairly ambitious. The scope of the world is quite large yet still detailed. I haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs, just a few minor ones here and there. I think my biggest gripe is that I feel that the story feels really railroaded, that is to say, you don't really get impactful choices to make, you're just kind of delivered the story. The game took some getting used to and was frustrating at times in the beginning for me, but once I got the hang of it, it was fantastic. You may see people complaining about there not being enough ammo. This can be remedied in large part by remembering your DOOM-slaying ABCs - ALWAYS BE CHAINSAWING. Chainsawing refills ammo and as long as you remember to chainsaw fodder demons regularly it's fine. It would be better though I think if the chainsaw animation was faster. I also found that I also needed time to get used to the platforming and using the map, maybe that's because this is my first DOOM game, though. Graphics and performance are solid, which is great. A lot of triple A games being released that run like **** but not this one. Story is serviceable and I found myself spending a lot of time reading the lore entries. Music is also great overall. Environments and map layouts are diverse and fairly intricate. Enemy types are interesting as well. The interplay between the arsenal and the weaknesses and strengths of the different enemy types works well. When you know how the system works and things are flowing, it can be a very fun experience. I personally feel like I would've appreciated it being even faster and more over-the-top than it already is in terms of just being a demon-slaying badass, but it does a good job as is.

It's like a Victorian era fantasy Witcher or Dragon Age game but it doesn't manage to do anything particularly well and it does a lot poorly. I would love to love it, because I wish there were more games like this made, but alas I just can't bring myself to. At best, it's wholly mediocre overall. They didn't have a large budget AND THEY MANAGE TO MAKE THIS EXTREMELY OBVIOUS. Some of their failings though can not be attributed to a small budget but just to bad design and poor execution. Terrible animations, bland combat (a lot of it is just M1 spam), boring/uninteresting loot, humdrum uncompelling world and narrative which railroads you for the most part with few to no interesting choices to make. The entire game world looks mostly the same with many overly reused assets (almost as bad as the attrocities commited by Dragon Age 2), there is very little enemy diversity, and quests can be quite tedious with a lot of running back and forth. The only one strong point I can think of is that a lot of the voice acting is quite well done (with a strong exception in the companion Siora) - but this just makes it even more tragic that everything they're saying is trash in terms of quality story telling. The content of what they're actually saying is mostly a snorefest, but at least they sound good saying it (and it's too bad their character models' mouths and expressions don't match at all either).

Disclosure: I only played for 1 hour and 40 minutes because if I played over 2 hours the game wouldn't be refundable. I submitted a refund request to Epic so hopefully it goes through successfully. - Like most everyone is saying, I can confirm that the game does indeed run like hot garbage and is buggy. Lots of FPS dips and small freezes/stuttering. This ruins enjoyment of the gameplay/gunplay. - I already wasn't impressed with the writing and characters from the different videos/trailers they put out. Tried playing the new Siren and yeah, definitely still wasn't a fan of her personality and abilities. In my opinion, they keep making the Siren class worse and worse with each successive game. - I only played a little but in that time I didn't experience any really cringe writing (it's Borderlands, being cringy is kind of par for the course though) but none of it was good. Just meh. - Multiplayer aspect ****, nobody ever joined my game when I set it to public. When I joined another game it was with one other person who was doing a quest i hadn't even started, who was already almost done with that quest, and who was way the **** on the other side of the map. When I went back to single player, a ton of content was now skipped because I had joined him and it advanced it for me. What a joke ****. Anyways, the poor performance and bugs was more than enough to request the refund. I hear the game is pretty short and doesn't do much innovative - it's just more of the same, and it does seem that way. Not worth $60 imho and not worth supporting such terrible practices. Few other industries get away with the kind of BS that video game developers are allowed to get away with. It's sad.

I beat a campaign run with about 45 hours of play time and played on veteran difficulty with some save scumming. The Bad: 1) Terrible performance/optimization. The game run terribly for a lot of people (if not everyone) even if you have a good rig. I have a GTX 970, i7 3.4ghz, 12GB RAM. I could even turn all of the graphical settings to the absolute bare minimum and even though the game looks ugly it STILL would not run completely smoothly and would have FPS dips. Also, every time enemies are triggered there are awkward ~3 second pauses which ruins the flow of things. This is the worst problem for me because it affects your enjoyment of everything. 2) Line of sight issues. Some walls, floors, and roofs in the game do not properly block line of sight. This is especially evident in the urban city maps when you are trying to be on roofs. Firaxis should not have release the game with these issues in place. 3) Chrysallids aren't the only bugs that will make you have a bad time. The game has numerous bugs and glitches. Some are as bad as completely ruining saves SO DO NOT TURN ON IRONMAN MODE (just do honest man instead). Others include animations not playing, damage numbers not showing, and etc. 4) Some questionable/bad design choices: For example, you'll get voice over messages from a person during missions. He will say the exact same thing every mission and he says these things very often and the whole time he's talking you aren't allowed to do anything. So you have to sit there waiting, doing nothing while he says the same thing you've heard him say or the 20th time. Another example, the new HP bars are inferior to Enemy Unknown. 5) Debatable: the music is worse than EU. This is of course subjective and some people think the music is good or is fine, but I'm pretty sure more people would agree that EU's music was superior. 6) Debatable: the majority of missions involve timers or scenarios that force you to rush/run and gun. I'm on the fence on this issue. Some people say they're fine and people need to "git gud and not rely on overwatch crawling". I agree that XCOM should be very difficult and the round limits did make for some exciting escapes. I think though I would've preferred that instead of the vast majority of missions being about being fast and praying you don't trigger 3+ pods, that there be more missions with more lenient timers but with some other kind of difficulty that isn't rushing against the clock. The Good: Aside from the above, the game improves on EU in most every other aspect. The game could've been a real work of art if it didn't suffer from these issues.

What a waste of $8 (and this is the on-sale price!) and time out of my life. The game is worse than the trash games within the game. Here's what the game is: Davey Wreden, creator of The Stanley Parable, makes you walk through a bunch of garbage, throw-away games one of his friends supposedly made with the Source engine while he pretentiously overanalyzes everything in them. His friend never published these games because they are, in fact, trash, throw-away "games" he made using the Source engine. No Davey, there aren't boxes in the sky of your friend's garbage Couter-Strike map because they are supposed to represent the fragmentation of his metaphysical superego. They're there because he was just messing around with the editor and randomly put ridiculous objects all over the place. And no Davey, the games aren't unfinishable because they represent the inconquerability of life. They're unfinishable because they're garbage, throw-away works he didn't care to finish or never got around to finishing. Makes me question if The Stanley Parable was even as good **** as I thought it was.

Preface: I haven't played any custom campaigns, which might (probably?) be a huge part of the entire game's package. Good about the game in main story: I love the cyberpunk twist on high fantasy themes, the mood and environment is really enjoyable, and the writing is good (which is vital since a LOT of the game is reading dialogue). The bad: Having just finished playing the recent XCOM, the battle mechanics are very lacking. Trying to guess how the line of sight works in any given situation is awful. The controls are super clunky and on top of that you aren't even told the key binds in game, making matters a lot worse if you don't look them up. The battles picked up in how interesting they were towards the end of the game when you earn an extra action point. The problem there is that the game ends shortly afterwards! Also, there are NO new spells. It's the same old from the base game in that regard.
