Death Stranding

MK11 cambia mucho respecto a MKX.

It could have more detail in some moments and the desert area need more work. -Story: its quite simple and a bit similar to Yakuza 2 in some aspects. A more martial art focused story and a better character development could have delivered a better story even including Yuria -Exploration: similar to Yakuza, with more minigames rather than metagames, some like Manager Ken should have more explanations and a similar system to Yakuza. The buggy has to mechanics: races (minigames) and looting materials to improve it. The last one kinda boring and bartering not always gives you what you want. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is probably the most disapointing game I´ve played this generation. Coming from the two last games that I enjoyed (the first more than the second) the direction of this story has no direction at all. -Story: the game tries to deliver a epic journey but with no success. Why Trinity is now a paramilitar organization and its head boss a guy who lives in a hidden village pretending to be the god messenger? In RIse of the TR the enemies were heavily armed and hard to kill, now you can take down most enemies with 4-5 bullets, no joke, even the armored ones. These leads to a poor use of the stealth mechanics. Why use stealth if going berserker is more effective? That is a huge problem. Also Lara is like a superhuman, even if a jaguar **** her back she is like "only a scratch, no real deal". Also Jonah... An unnecessary character like in RotTR. -World: beautifull I have to say. -Combat: the combat in this new trilogy has evolved practically nothing. Same animations, same moves, same weapons, same enemies. In addition on this game there are significally less combat than in the previous two, why? -Conclusion: a huge dissapointment and a bitter ending to a trilogy than looked promissing.

Web-swinging is fantastic and travelling across the map is really fun. There is a lot of collectibles and activities, as well as some sidequests that are more focused on helpling people rather than telling a story. With this game Santa Sonica not just delivers a brand new God of War, also one of the best games of the PS4 and of the generation. - The story starts simple but it turns into an epic jorney trough norse mitology, with a new Kratos, older and commited with his duty to raise his son, offering a new point of view. Both make a fantastic contrast, being the BOY, Atreus more talkative and sociable and Kratos a rude and quiet man who tries not to get into trouble. Also, there is more side content that allows backtraking and secret areas to explore. - Graphically is top edge, a little bit inferior to Horizon ZD maybe, but the use of lighting and color and the folkrore itself makes the game graphically and artistically stunning. - Combat is at first a bit basic, but it evolves alongside the player evolves, making a good progresion system based on gear. That at first may look bland and forced, but the more you play the more it works, offering stunning good looking armours and weapon. - In general, this is how to turn a burnout franchise into a brand new start, delivering a full AAA game in all senses.

State of Decay 2 would have been close to a good/average game in 2005, but in 2018 the standards are higher. Graphically is bland and outdated, animations are a joke like zombie AI, not mentioning bugs. The game can be sumarised on surviving and looting houses and zombies and improving the base and its survivors. Don´t know whats Microsoft doing but with this kind of games they are not heading the right direction with this kind of games like Sea of Thieves and this State of Decay. Afraid of Crackdown.

Yakuza Kiwami delivers a quite bland story with the same aspects of Yakuza 0. - The story is not bad not good, mises good story flips and is a bit plain. - The combat is like Yakuza 0, but there is a big problem with Dragon style, once unlocked the parry and the counter you become invincible, rising the heat meter to MAX in no time and dealing enormous damage. - Majima everywhere: is fun and original until the very end, as said about the Dragon style, one got the parry and counter, is cheesing. - In general: is like Yakuza 0 but without it´s originality and impact

Yakuza 0 delivers a brand new story with two characters: Kiryu and Majima in a non stop action game that surprises as more as you play. - The story is great, with to cities to play and two diferent stories with superb moments. Also subsries are fun as hell and the metagames (real-state and caba-club) are really fun to play. - The combat: with 3 combat (4 with the ultimate) styles each character that gives the player oportunities to face enemies and change them fluently. Heat actions and progresion are unique, investing money to get habilities in a charming skill menu that shows the japanesse culture and style. - Graphically: can be improved, there is an old engine with its flaws but running at 60 fps. The main characters models are quite good and cinematics are at other level. - In general: is a great game that gives a lot of surprises and leaves no one indiferent about its quality.

Yakuza 6 delivers the last chapter of Kiryu`s story, with a well made set up and characters that keeps your atention and a new combat focused in multidinary fights. - The story is quite good: Kiryu and Haruka delivers a good story among the mob war in Kamurocho and Onomichi. With new characters that feel alive and have it own personalities. - The graphics: improved, but still unpolished, saw borders and tearing apears really often during the game. Specially in Kamurocho. - The combat: focused in fighting large numbers of enemies but with its limitations when trying combos. Heat actions are still a key factor but with the add of Extreme Heat Mode there are some lacks in the normal mode, being the first one the truly visually impacting blows. - Missions: the main story is good. but the substories are bit worse than Kiwami and Zero, with a lack of humor in sometimes and some areas of Kamurocho restricted. - Other mechanics: eating mechanic is really good implemented and works, minigames like darts or batting cages are back but IMO the first one is way easier than in Zero. Clan Creator is quite MEH... The baseball team and the Snack bar are good adds to the game. The new character evolution sistem works half good, improving base stats is redundant and the combat habilities are easy to get, making an unbalanced progresion. - In general: good Yakuza, but with some flaws in comparison with the last games (Zero and Kiwami), the engine is still to improve, the combat is fun but needs a revision.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a good secuel to the first part, however, the mistakes the first game did are still in this new title. - The story is quite bland, there is a lack of characters, being the most important and interesting Lara and The Profet. Practically all characters doesn't have a good huge development or evolution. Lara is quite plain alongside the story, with an important lack of emotion but her father's will. Like the first game, it feels kinda artificial and poorly design. Other characters like Jonah or even the main villain itself have a minor importance and they developmente in the story are simple or even unexistent, with a huge lack of real involvement. Also the plot is practically a copy from the first game, the final fases even fun and good designed, are quite too much similar in many ways to the first, with romans instead of "samurai". - Gameplay is simple, find coverage and shot the enemies, there are4 types of weapons with differt variations: bow, primary (rifle, sniper, subrifle), secondary (shotgun), and handgun. Olso the piolet but only for melee. The problem here is the enemy IA (quite dumb), the design of the stages (normaly small with lots of coverage and pickup objects) and enemies (too armored enemies breaks the flow), crafting (pickup objects are excesive and quite OP) and sometimes camera. Also melee combat is like the first, evade and kill, quite easy, and the healing system can be improved. The map size is good, but it is not a open world, there is backtracking to collect resources, but again there is no real reward unless you aim to the 100% completion. Optional cripts are quite similar to the first, except 2 or 3, the rest are simple and a bit dissapointing, i expected more. Also the rewards arent quite useful. - The World as I said is good sized and good looking, but there is a lack of impresive environments and cutscenes oftenly interrupts the pace of the game, there are too many when you run and everything goes down, it needs improvement. - Extra content (Baba Yaga, Endurance, etc): fun but not really a huge value, Baba Yaha is fun and really rocks, but again the plot is predictable. Endurance is a survival mode, interesting but it falls in repetition. - Overall: good game, fun game but with a lot of issues, Animations, combat system, story, characters, side-missions, environments. I didn't find myself stuned with a view, like I did with other games. The game tries hard to make it but doesn't deliver, unless not at today's high end quality games. I find in the saga a lack of identity, that tries to find itself in a genre and with a legendary character that do not reaches the glory of it's past days. I'm really looking forward to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I want to see improvement and know if finally that game reaches the top. A similar game only will lead to dissapointment.

Probably the best DC superhero fighting game in history. - Story is great, superv character modelling, interesting story and performance. - Huge roster, 38 characters with unique styles and awesome guest characters. - Multiverse is the big deal here, always changing with new loot. - Gear system works with good looking items. In general if you like DC, fighting games and loot, there is a high change you like this.

A bland game just like its predecessor Unity. - Characters are totally undeveloped and a bit cliche. The Frye twins have no past, and they motivations are so basic that feels artificial, and the indian guy totally ****. The Assassins are the good guys, the Templars the bad guys, the firsts kill the seconds, thats all. -Combat is like the Batman Arkham franchise but with none of the good, combos are for no use, mecanics borings and simple, enemies are dumb, animations are 100% artificial and clunky. And like Unity levels matter, a lot, only 10 lvls to reach Max. - Story quite empty, just killing, the Twins are always talking about Father, but father never appears, like I said they have no past. - Definitely a bad game, the world is quite empty with a huge lack of interest, the gang role is artificial, with perks that make the game easier in a huge way, The Creed is missing (at least Unity had HC in Paris), here in London, 3 assassins take down a whole city controled by templars, a **** joke.

After Human Revolution I espected a huge improvement on the franchise, however, the mistakes of the previous are still a worry. - Graphics are OK, but there are still clunky animations and mediocre face designs, especially David Sariff`s face. - Combat had a little improvement, with new combat augs it is a bit easier to face enemies, unfortunately, the nature of the game and the stealth design scenarios make it quite hard. Also, IA is practicaly the same as the previous games. If you find a coverage, you will have the combat practicaly under control most of the time, just aim to the head. - Missions and side-missions are good, the world changes in order you advance in the game and the characters are quite interesting and believable. - The main story is probably the big issue, I had interest in it, but unfortunately it is unfinished, there is no Ending, it just cuts halfway the experience in a "thats all?" sensation. Dont know the reason why this happened but its sad. - Overall: fun but it ends quite fast, with the feeling of an unfinished game.

Horizon reaches a great level on design and accion, however some points of the story and the character deveolpment need to improve, as well as the quests. - The story is interesting but still needs a bit more depth, and the sidequests are often short. - Aloy is a great main character but needs a bit more development throught the story. - The combat against the machines is great, diferent machines with diferent mecanics to beat them. My only complains are the weapon wheel, 4 slots only are not enough when facing diferent types of machines and going through menus to change weapons cut the flow. Also the combat against humans is poor and need a better mechanic, this combats should be avoided as much as posible, in some points the game forces you to fight human bosses making those fights repetitive and unrewarding. In conclusion, Horizon Zero Dawn is a huge brand new franchise with a lot of potential and opportunities to learn and improve.

Fun game with a great sense of humour. The classic mechanic of beat this stage and complete these objectives in order to unlock a specific ending. Some gameplay issues that should be fix are IMO: - A specific button to execute on the ground, sometimes fails to do it. - Others: icons better visible (stunt), stacking of corpses sometimes can not allow you to see the alive enemies.

Nioh takes direcly the Souls´ formula but the game knows how to shine by its own. The atmosphere, a combination of japanesse folklore and real facts that explains how these Yokai exist during the end of the Sengoku era, a dark period of Japan´s history, when war, anger and suffering were common. The strongest point of the game is the combat, quick, satisfying and with lots of varieties, the fact that how the player learns alongside the character, fighting and learning new techniques that gives more posibilities when fighting gives a well constructed progression curve. The story is quite interesting, if you like this period you will understand it even better, an outsider in a strange land and his quest to recover his guardian spirit, meeting renown warriors with their own reasons to fight. Also the looting sistem has a big importance, having sets with unique perks that fit with diferent builds. Nioh has been a truly surprise, that has even surpass my expectations from the previous Alpha and Beta. The game has enough content to spend about 45-50 hours to finish, not including the NG+ features. We have to wait to see what´s more with Nioh, adding new free content like PVP and Boss Rush stages, plus the Season Pass with 3 DLCs

The game has huge deficiencies, the most important IMO the fact that you can only control one character during the matches, even in 1vs1 mode, you can´t control the other two characters. There are only two modes, 3vs3 and 1vs1, there isn´t a IA practice mode to see the diferent skills of the characters The customization is poor, and the evolution sistem is unclear. There is an online game only, and the conectivity has serious issues, the most important are desconections, if a player leaves the match ends automaticaly, making the experience. the game is more an early-access rather than a game.
