Spider Man 2 is far superior to Spider Man 1 and Miles Morales. With better graphic, more fulfilling gameplay and traversal, a stronger narrative and better puzzles this game stands out and iz incredibly fun

Baldiur's Gate 3 is the perfect RPG. It has the most complex character creation.Also BG3 has literally countless choices and dialogue options that have profound impacts on the way the story plays out. With brilliant writing, world building and music, this game is extremely well fleshed out. Also everyone from core companions to random NPCs are incredibly memorable. It is for all of those reasons that BG3 is far and away my game of the year.

Goodbye Volcano High is a beautifully wholesome story driven game. It’s about a high school rock band on the verge of breaking up. thee game is full of important dialogue choices that determine your relationships. You play music through qtes and there is even dnd in the game. The music, art style, writing and the voice acting is all brilliant. This is by far my favorite indie game of the year.

It was amazing to be able to replay this timeless classic today on a modern console. The story, world and characters held up, and its still one of the best games ever made. I appreciated the handful of modern creature comforts that this remaster has

I usually prefer turn based rpgs because I have a motor disability. However playing FF16 on story mode was actually quite easy and I didn’t run into much trouble at all and just beat it. I like the story which is more political like game of thrones . Clive and the other characters were all very well thought out and acted . And the visuals and music was great. The combat was amazing, especially the Eikon (summon) battles. With moogles, chocobos, magic and crystals this is definitely a Final Fantasy game, albeit modern. It’s definitely way better than anything since FF10. It is a personal game of the year contender. My only complaint is that the side quests were weak and also even though Clive had companions it didn’t seem like a party

Jedi Survivor is better in every way than Fallen Order. There are vast improvements in terms of story, characters, sound design, visuals and customization . The lightsaber combaat and boss battles are amazing. I actually liked Cal this time. And I only had one brief glitch in my 50+ hour playthrough./ don’t listen to the haters

Octopath Traveler 2 is a completionist's dream. I had endless fun beating all 8 travelers stories, getting all of the jobs, and finding all of the rusty weapons and inventor's items. All 8 stories were equally compelling and the dialogue was excellent.. Also the mu and art style were both great

Because I missed out on Crisis Core for the PSP, I am so thankful that Square brought this game to the PS5! Crisis Core is an amazing prequel to Final Fantasy 7, my favorite video game of all time. Crisis Core focuses on Zack and has a beautiful and tragic story. I loved being able to see everything from Zack’s perspective especially when interacting with Cloud Aerith and Sephiroh. My favorite chapter was definitely the one where you go to Nibelhiem because of how important those events were to Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth. I liked how much Crisis Core Reunion looked and played like FF7 Remake. Reunion definitely felt more like a remake than a remaster.

Boy do I love dialogue. soul hackers 2 has so much of it. There are lots of dialogue options, which reminds me of mass effect in a good way. This game is an amazing sci fi jrpg with a fascinating premise, fun combat, very compelling and memorable characters an awesome story and excellent writing that ranges from hilarious , biting and inspirational . Soul Hackers 2 also reminds me of Tales of Arise, which is one of my favorite games of 2021

God of War Ragnarok is an incredible game. it far surpasses GOW 2018 in every way possible. The combat and gameplay are far more dynamic and innovative. The puzzles are less frustrating. The graphics and the audio are far stronger. The scale and scope of the game are way grander. The dialogue is more poetic, more biting and also funnier. This game made it next to impossible to not be deeply invested in every character, even side characters and antagonists. The m compelling part was the story which literally had me on the edge of my seat from the second I booted the game up until the credits. 2018's story was amazing but Ragnarok's out of this world

I was very excited when Valkyrie Elysium came out. Unfortunately I was fairly disappointed. The game felt less like am immersive action rpg and more like a hack and slash. There was not a big enough world, too few npcs and it felt like everything and everyone was an enemy you have to kill . Because you teleport between missions there was a serious lack of continuity in the world. M biggest gripe was the story being really vague, average and uncreative. God of War, a game I don’t e like , did a far better job with mqking a deep and compelling story set in the world of norse mythology. The game did have amazing graphics and fun

I think that saints row is seriously fun, funny and charming. There was not a mission or side hustle that I didn’t enjoy but my favorite was the larp one.

FF 15 is a solid open world action r;pg ,re all great and give a sense of vastness that few other ffa have. Dial between the 4 main characters rocks . While the story is less profound than 6, 7 and 10, it is certainly less obtuse than the fact 5 FFs

Little Hope iis my favorite dark pictures game. That’s b the subject matter is interesting , witches and witch trials. I am less compelled by old navy guys. Also the gameplay in this was a lot less frustrating than the ghost ship ib man ofv maden.

Strangers is a very creative retelling of FF1. It is also an incrediblely for game. I unlcked and played every job. One of the game’s greatest strengths is the way it seamlessly translated both the job system and also each job's unique playstyle from the first few Final Fantasy games to a modern action rpg

This game is awesome. It is a cinematic horror story with clear influences from Quantic Dreams games, full of countless branching paths diaolog options and quick time events. The characters and voice actiors were compelling. The game is all the more successful because a wrong choice or a missed button call get it favorite character killed which happened a lot in my playthrough

Despite a few framerate issues I thoroughly loved replaying through this masterpiece! I like the remastered soundtrack a lot. And the story, worlds and characters were all great to return to

HFW was as much better than HZD as Mass Effect 2 from ME`. HFW is an absolute masterpiece. The graphics are insane. The gameplay and combat is way more fun and dynamic.. There are different classes you can focus on, making the game more rpg like. The puzzles are way less frustrating. I Loved every story quest and side quest. And the writing, compsnions and over story is way strong and larger in scale. I just got the platinum.

Guardians has some seriously solid writing and has a great story that draws you in .

Its insane how ND made a perfect game even better in part 2. I actually like the story a lot more in part 2. I feel like Joel needed to die, especially early, for the story to progress and for Ellie to grow as a character. The whole revenge plot is both complex and compelling. Also all of the flashbacks of Joel and Ellie are that much more tender because he died. Also this game does an amazing job of turning the reviled antagonist, Abby, into someone who the players can understand and identify with. This is an excellent game with a perfect story.

This is a phenomenal game with great story, writing and characters. I actually think of The Last of Us as a cinematic and narrative driven survival horror game.

I started playing Cyberpunk after a lot of the bugs were fixed and I have to say that I love this game. The story, writing, dialogue, world and character are all amazing and very well fleshed out. Night City feels lived in. This is a very fun RPG that is hard to put down.

This is a really amazing video game. The writing and acting are superb and the fact that you get to make so many decisions that affect the way the story plays out makes Detroit Become Human one of the most immersive games out there.

Spirit of the North is a very pretty explosion platforming game with some of the most amazing environmental storytelling.

I absolutely love this game. It has a very strong and compelling story and the art design is out of this world. I can’t even count the number of hours I just spent just staying at my screen in awe while playing Jett. If you love a good story, space exploration or insane landscapes, you should play this game!
