Mario Tennis Aces8
Jun 24, 2018
Here comes all the fanboys coming in with 10/10s (and some normal people like me) and assault troops bombarding the game with 0/10s despite it being perfectly playable. Oh, and before you call me biased for giving the game a good score, this is my first Mario Tennis game. Pros: + Overall Gameplay: It's tennis, it's fun, but in Story Mode it's not. + Soundtrack: Amazing! Each song fits their stage well. + Swing Mode: Honestly, it's pretty good and a timewaster when you want to take a break from Story Mode. Mix: = Story Mode: The plot is ok, but some of the levels are just atrocious and ruin the experience (looking at you Kamek stage). = Roster: I mean it's a great selection, but until more are added (like my soon-to-be main Koopa), it's nothing special (a lower amount of unique characters in this game than in Smash). Overall, Mario Tennis Aces is a great game that, while I wouldn't say is a must have for all Switch owners, is an amazing time and warrants an 8.5/10 from me.

Pokemon Quest0
May 30, 2018
Can this really be considered a game? Seriously, even the main series games have more gameplay than Gachamon. (If you want a good gacha game, just get Xenoblade 2 instead). Then again, it's a free game by a company that doesn't listen to their consumers, what should I expect? Cons: - Everything: Meh graphics for even a Switch game, gameplay basically doesn't exist, frame rate goes down to 5 FPS in loading screens. Overall, Pokemon Quest is an abomination known to mankind that doesn't even deserve a 1/10 from me, nor does it deserve my usual "warrants a" motto. Also, lag in loading screens is like saying ET for the Atari 2000 is a masterpiece unironically.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild9
May 27, 2018
While BotW isn't my favorite game on the Switch, I feel like I was a bit too harsh towards it. Here is my final review of this game. Pros: + Combat: The weapon durability was poorly implemented, but the Flurry Rush and Time Stop Arrow thing make up for it. + Soundtrack: The overworld music ****, and it reuses songs a bit, but most of the songs are good. + Overworld: Empty, but beautiful, though not as beautiful as some other games on the Switch. + Hyrule Castle: By far the best rendition of it, and the only good dungeon in the game. Cons: - Overworld Music: This is more of a nitpick for me, as I never play it with the sound on anyways. Though I was let down badly after finding out that it was just three piano notes every 2 minutes. - Dungeons: Excluding the DLC and Hyrule Castle, they were too short and easy as heck. - Story: C'mon Nintendo, where's that epic story that we were promised in January 2017? The memories aren't enough. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a really great and engaging game that suffers enough to knock it down to a 9/10 for me.

Super Mario 649
May 22, 2018
Ah, Super Mario 64. I may not have been born at the time of your release, but at least I managed to experience your greatness at least once in my life. Pros: + Gameplay: Wonderful. I love punching Goombas wherever they are. + Soundtrack: Why does this game have a better soundtrack than most games now-a-days? + Level Design: By far the most memorable level design in the Mario franchise overall. + Collect-a-thon: The fact that you can get almost any star in a level at any time after you unlock it is amazing! + Power-ups: Wing Cap is by far my favorite power-up in the franchise. Metal Cap and Invisible Cap are also fun as well. Cons: - Camera: Horrible, atrocious. - 100 Coin Stars: Who thought Dire Dire Docks 100 Coin Star was a good idea? - Bosses: Easy as heck, except for the final Bowser battle. Overall, Super Mario 64 is a revolutionary masterpiece that helped carve a path towards many other amazing games and warrants a 9.6/10 from me.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky2
May 22, 2018
I usually enjoy RPGs, but this is RNG bs. There, I summarized the main gimmick of Mystery Dungeon games in two words. I was hoping that I'd find a fun time waster with this game but nope. Cons: - Gameplay: While I don't mind RNG, as it can be great when done correctly, I just don't want an entire game depending on it. - Soundtrack: Horrible, not memorable. - Characters: I don't like a single character from this game. Overall, Explorers of Sky is a horrible game that not even Pokemon deserved and warrants a 2/10 from me.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition9
May 21, 2018
The only way to truly experience Hyrule Warriors in my opinion. Honestly, I wasn't expecting myself to pick this game up, but I ended up doing so I can play something other than Odyssey waiting for Mario Tennis Aces to come out. Pros: + Gameplay: I personally love the hack-and-slash gameplay this game does. By far the best I've seen. + Soundtrack: I'm going to go back and fix my HW:L review, because after relistening to the soundtrack, I fell in love. Though it still has some bad songs (Kakariko Village). + Roster: Thankfully they included the DLC characters into the mix, so there's an even bigger variety now. + Story: It's the same as the other two, meaning that it's great. + Resolution/Graphics: Definitely a huge leap from Legends' graphics and resolution. Meh: = Bosses: Not as bad as I remember them being, but again, a lot of them are just characters from the roster. Overall, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a wonderful game that just barely falls short from being in my top 5 games of all time and warrants a 9.5/10 from me. If you have a Switch but don't have any of the other versions, pick THIS version up. Although, if you already have a version of the game, maybe wait for a sale or rent it.

Pokemon Platinum Version5
May 17, 2018
Barely better than Pokemon Diamond/Pearl in my opinion. It definitely does fix some of the problems I had with the original two Gen 4 games, but it also kept some of the others. Pros: + Story Speed: It's not as slow, thank goodness! + Variety: Still pretty great, with even more... I think. Mix: = Soundtrack: Meh... some are good, like Cynthia's fight theme. = Gameplay: I explained it enough, EVERY POKEMON GAME HAS THE SAME GAMEPLAY EXCEPT FOR LIKE ONE OR TWO MINOR IMPROVEMENTS/UNNECESSARY ADDITIONS! = Difficulty: It's Pokemon, I shouldn't expect good difficulty. Overall, Pokemon Platinum is a mediocre game that warrants a 5/10 from me.

Hyrule Warriors8
May 17, 2018
Hyrule Warriors: Atari 2000 edition. Nah, I'm joking, but it has HORRIBLE graphics for a 2016 game. Pros: + Gameplay: I honestly love the combat within the game. + Roster: The variety in movesets with every character makes each character feel special. + Story: It's great, but suffers a bit because it just jumps halfway through the game. Mix: = Soundtrack: Not that great, but still has enough good songs/remixes in it. Cons: - Graphics: Yeah, yeah, it's a 3DS game. But Kid Icarus: Uprising had a lot of content yet it still looked pretty great. - Bosses: Ok... they all die the same way. I guess this game really was referenced in BotW after all! Nah, the only one I personally liked was the dragon one from Twilight Princess. Overall, Hyrule Warriors: Legends is a great game that suffers from a few flaws and warrants an 8.4/10 from me.

Xenoblade Chronicles 210
May 17, 2018
Honestly, my previous review of this game ****, so I'm going to remake it here. Though, it's still a 10/10 for me. Pros: + Gameplay: I prefer XC2's combat to XC1's. I don't get bored trying to beat a boss in this game, unlike in XC1. + Soundtrack: By far my favorite soundtrack in video game history. + Story: AMAZING! By far my favorite story in any game. + Characters: Most of the characters are amazing. + Bosses: Refights actually change up the bosses, or at least after a certain point in the game. + Side Quests: Most of them are pretty great, especially the Blade Quests. Also, at least they give out good rewards, unlike BotW. Mix: = Gacha System: C'mon, please give me this rare blade, please... DANG IT! Why another one of these? Especially from a Legendary Core Crystal. = Resolution: Kinda hurts the graphics a bit, but I only play this game in handheld, so I don't know about how it plays in TV mode. Overall, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, while suffering from some flaws, warrants a 10/10 from me.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star8
May 10, 2018
Unpopular Opinion time! Sticker Star is a great game. Don't kill me. Pros: + Artstyle: Paper Mario's artstyles always look good to me. + Gameplay: The combat is... good, but not the best I've seen in a RPG, and definitely not the best Mario gameplay. + Soundtrack: Pretty great. + Level Design: Not bad, not bad at all. Cons: - Puzzles: They're meh at best. - Characters: Toad, Toad, Toad, where is the differences? - Story: ...Bowser Kidnaps things #1020202 without any differences except for a Crown or a Star (I forgot what it was) Overall, Paper Mario: Sticker Star is a great Mario game (though nowhere near my top 5) and warrants an 8.5/10 from me.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe9
May 2, 2018
A major improvement over the Wii U version. But it still has some flaws remaining from the other version. Pros: + Soundtrack: AMAZING! It's a mindblowing soundtrack! + Gameplay: While it's still just the same ol' Mario Kart gameplay, the gravity gimmick definitely makes the game even more fun. Also 200cc is uncontrollably fun! + Characters: Definitely an improvement! Though, where's Funky? + Battle Mode: It's definitely an improved version, though I wish there were a few more courses. Cons: - Nothing Really "new": It's basically a port with a new battle mode and a few new characters. Why not add a few more courses? Overall, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a really solid entry in the Mario Kart series and warrants a 9.5/10 from me.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks8
May 2, 2018
After the disgrace **** known as Phantom Hourglass, this great game arrives at the station. This game improved upon everything Phantom Hourglass did. Pros: + Controls: WAY better than PH's. This was the game that mastered touch screen controls. + Dungeons: Really cool dungeon design honestly. + Items: While it's not the largest variety, it still has really fun to use items like the Sand Rod. + Soundtrack: Riding the train around Hyrule has to have my favorite Hyrule Field theme, if you can consider it Hyrule Field. + Trains: Honestly, while trains shouldn't be in Zelda at all, they were pretty good in this game. Cons: - Final Boss: Portal time! Honestly, that brings the final boss down in my eyes. - Zelda: She's extremely annoying in this game, worse than Navi. - Rabbits: ...Really tedious fetch quest. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is a really great game and warrants an 8.5/10 from me.

New Super Mario Bros. U5
Apr 30, 2018
Meh... the only NSMB I don't really like that much. However, there are still things I do like about the game. Pros: + Graphics: Wii U games usually look pretty decent, and this one definitely looks better than most. + Baby Yoshis: They're a cool gimmick, but make the game easier than it already is. + Soundtrack: Good, but not great. However I love the grass level theme. Cons: - Almost no Originality: This is a problem within the series as a whole. However, it's not as bad or prominent as in Pokemon. - Difficulty: Easy as heck. However, it's still harder than BotW. - Level Design: It's... meh. Overall, NSMBU isn't a bad game, but it's not good either, and warrants a 5.5/10 from me.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword8
Apr 30, 2018
Skyward Sword was a great game, but Hero Mode just flat out ****. Pros: + Gameplay: I really liked the items found in dungeons and loved that they had uses outside of the dungeons. + Dungeons: Really unique and fun. However, they can occasionally be a bit boring and tedious. + Side Quests: I encountered quite a number of side quests (if you consider the Thunder Dragon one, then that would be another great one), but they were pretty great. + Soundtrack: Pretty great to be honest. Mix: = Motion Controls: There were rarely issues with them, but when they popped up they screwed me over. Cons: - Overworld: It's a pretty bad one. However, unlike BotW, it has quite a lot of content within it that isn't golden poop. - Linearity: Usually I love linearity, but this just flat out ****. No freedom to explore everywhere until you're at the end of the game. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a wonderful 25th anniversary celebration (a WAY better celebration than Breath of the EA) and warrants an 8.4/10 from me.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story9
Apr 22, 2018
I haven't really finished the game, mostly because I lost it, but I have some REALLY good memories with it. Pros: + Combat: I loved the turn-based combat in M&L:BIS. Unlike Pokemon, it gets pretty interactive even when it isn't your turn. + Playing as Bowser: While I prefer Odyssey's Bowser segments over this game's playable Bowser, I still enjoyed playing as him and beating down baddies as him. + 2D Platforming with Mario and Luigi: While inside of Bowser, I enjoyed the little puzzles that were placed for Mario and Luigi. + Soundtrack: Pretty great. Cons: - Some of the Puzzles/Minigames: Honestly the Carrot minigame **** badly. Overall, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is an amazing RPG that I hope to play again soon and finish. Therefore, it warrants a 9.5/10 from me.

Pokemon Y6
Apr 22, 2018
Meh, not the worst, but easily not the best Pokemon game. Mega Evolutions were the new thing brought from XY, and, well, they're just ok. Pros: + Region: Not a perfect region, but I most certainly liked running around Kalos for a while. + Variety: I mean, a freaking sword? Probably my favorite design despite being just swords and a shield in it's final form. Cons: - Mega Evolution: Why is it that we need to go full-on Digimon? - Story: Team Flare ****. They're obnoxious and pointless filler (especially the admins), though not as bad as the next point. - "Rivals": BY FAR the worst of the franchise. They made an already unmemorable story even worse. - Soundtrack: Only song I like from the games is Lumiose City. Overall, Pokemon X and Y aren't bad, but they aren't that good either and warrant a 6/10 from me.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D10
Apr 22, 2018
This game is a masterpiece of a Zelda game. I was disappointed when Breath of the Wild didn't have as great of a story as this game did. Pros: + Gameplay: The time system was well executed in both versions, but I like how it was slowed down a bit in this version. The masks, however, stayed the same and that's great! + Soundtrack: I loved each and every song in this game. Running around Termina Field while hearing a darker version of the main theme was great. + Dungeons: Amazing, well done, the best the series has. + Side Quests: While there are a number of forgettable ones or bad ones, the good ones are REALLY good. + Exploration: Not the best the series did, but still pretty great. + Bosses: Eyes and only eyes. Shoot the eye. However, the ways to stun the bosses are completely different. Cons: - Fishing: While it does the fishing mechanic in a creative way, I personally didn't find any fun in fishing in MM3D. Overall, Majora's Mask 3D is a wonderful remake that fixed the issues I had with the N64 version and more. So, therefore, Majora's Mask 3D warrants a 10/10 from me.

Pokemon Diamond Version2
Apr 21, 2018
What is this? Pokemon playing the Inverted Song of Time? This game is so slow I decided to refuse to proceed through the story halfway through the game. Positive thing: + Variety: The only good thing about this game Cons: - Gameplay: I mean, it's just the same, but slower. - Pacing: I could run about 50 miles before I could get to the sixth gym, and I run really slowly. - Amity Park: Why couldn't the walk with your Pokemon mechanic be in the whole game? - Soundtrack: Not memorable and not good. - Safari Zone: The mud is horrible, and not that much of a variety in Pokemon here. Overall, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl are horrible games and warrant a 2/10 from me. Don't attack me for having an opinion Gen 4 fans.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds9
Apr 21, 2018
A Link to the Past but except it kept me wanting to continue adventuring. Pros: + Gameplay: The gameplay is like every other 2D Zelda, most notably ALttP, but except with a gimmick. + The Gimmick: By far my second favorite gimmick of the franchise (#1 goes to the Masks from MM), however I felt like it was done A LOT better in Odyssey. + Exploration: Not once did I feel bored exploring the world of Hyrule in this game. It was a joy running around as Link in this game. + Soundtrack: Pretty neat, it's just upscaled versions of ALttP songs and MAYBE one or two new songs. + Combat: Simple, but fun. Cons: - Story: Not bad, but like ALttP's, it wasn't that great either. Overall, A Link Between Worlds is one of my favorite Zelda games of all time and warrants a 9.3/10 from me.

Pokemon HeartGold Version8
Apr 21, 2018
This game was my first Pokemon game and by far my favorite. However, since it is still Pokemon, it suffers some flaws that others suffer, but not as badly as those. Pros: + Walking around: How did a Pokemon game make walking around with more than just one character fun? (I loved this in Xenoblade 2 as well, but this is a Pokemon review) + Post-Game: By far the best Pokemon post-game + Gyms: Honestly, these are the only gyms I liked out of the franchise. + Safari Zone: The customization was excellent and I loved that you had to earn the extra secret areas. + Variety: Best variety in a Pokemon game ever. + Legendaries: The return of older legendaries was sweet, though the Arceus-event only methods of getting lvl 1 Sinnoh ones ****. Mix: = Soundtrack: One of the better Pokemon soundtracks, but still, not too memorable (2nd best champion theme though). = Gameplay: Same as others, except minus Z-Moves and Megas (which both are overrated anyways). Overall, Pokemon HeartGold version was great enough to warrant an 8.5/10 from me.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The Champion's Ballad5
Apr 21, 2018
Overhyped, mediocre DLC that shouldn't exist. There were only three good things about the DLC. I hope Aonuma learns not to lie to the Zelda fans ever again. Pros: + Dungeon: Better than every other dungeon aside from Hyrule Castle. + Boss: Thank god it's not Calamity Ganon Part 6. + Shrines: They are the best in the game. Cons: - Overhyped glorified Shrine Quest: ...This is what I get for waiting Nintendo? Fire Aonuma please, he **** at making Zelda nowadays. - Story: FIVE THIRTY SECOND CUTSCENES? WHERE IS THE NEW STORY? I ONLY EXPECTED AN ACTUAL STORY, NOT JUST FLESH OUT THE CHARACTERS. Overall, The Champions' Ballad was a really disappointing DLC in some factors but delivered in others and shall warrant a 5/10 from me. Hopefully Odyssey gets better DLC if it ever gets some.

Super Mario Galaxy6
Apr 20, 2018
This game has a fanbase worse than the Bubonic Plauge, and I wish I was joking. This game is OVERRATED AS HECK. It would not stop crashing before the final boss and when I found out what the final battle was... well, Galaxy went from a 10 to a 6.5 (ok, there are other issues I have with the game, but that was a MASSIVE disappointment). I haven't been as disappointed in a game in my life. Pros: + Soundtrack: Overrated, but... decent. Also, not that memorable aside from Gusty Garden (which is the only song that I loved from the game). Mix: = Level Design: "OdYSsEY hAsS ThE WoRSTESt LEveL DesSIGN!!11!11" Galaxy ALMOST has the worst level design due to the copy-paste levels (Honeyhive and Gold Leaf Galaxy), but Sunshine's Beach + Random thing theme seemed to make it worse. Cons: - Gameplay: "GALAXY HAS THE BESTEST GAMEPLAY" Shut up Galaxy fanboys! If spinning pleases you so much, why don't you literally go do it right now? Also, the motion controls make me want to puke. - Story: I'm honestly putting this here mostly for the fanboys, but also due to the fact that I personally don't like Galaxy 1/2's stories that much. - Bosses: ...Copypasta the Game. All in all, Super Mario Galaxy is not the best game of all time, nor is it the best Mario game of all time, and I personally would warrant it a 6.5/10. Also, shut up about Galaxy 3. (Also I didn't deduct any points because of the fanbase, I deducted because of actual issues I've had with the game).

New Super Mario Bros.9
Apr 20, 2018
Every day before I got SM64DS I would play it every weekend and try my hardest to get through every level, but is it as good as I remember it? Pros: + Gameplay: It's basic SMB gameplay modernized, and it's fun. + Level Design: While the worlds did feel long, the levels were fun and had some variety within them. + Collectables: Star Coins were pretty great and had actual uses, unlike Yoshi Coins in Mario Worlds. + Difficulty: While it's far on the easy side, it still offers a lot of challenge in the game (especially in the hidden challenge mode). Cons: - Enemy Variety: It's just Goombas, Koopas, Bullet Bills, Dry Bones, and Wigglers. Overall, New Super Mario Bros., which was actually my first video game, is my favorite 2D Mario game and warrants a 9.3/10.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition8
Apr 20, 2018
A game from 2011 put onto the same console as another game that's of the same genre but except that one has worse graphics... Nice. Pros: + Overworld: Not completely empty and interesting towns and cities. + Characters: Honestly, I really like the AI of villagers and other characters in the game. Plus, the level of interactivity with them in this game crushes BotW's NPCs. + Combat: BotW but except without weapon durability. Cons: - Overworld music: ...Still better than BotW's any day. - Glitchfest: Bugs are everywhere. Overall, Skyrim is a great open world game and definitely deserves to warrant an 8.6/10 from me.

Super Mario 3D Land9
Apr 20, 2018
It's a very enjoyable 3DS game, and a pretty great Mario game, but it suffers a bit from some things. Pros: + Gameplay: While Mario is pretty slow and the controls felt a bit clunky for me, it was still pretty fun. + Soundtrack: Pretty great, nothing more. + Post-Game: While it's mostly just rehashed versions of levels that they tried to make harder, it was pretty neat. Mix: = Level Design: 90% of the levels are really great, but that 10% hurts the game quite a bit, especially since it IS a platformer after all. Cons: - Difficulty: The game is easier than every other Mario game. - Lack of replayability: Like I said, the game is fun, but not much replayability rests within the game (aside from beating your own time). Overall, Super Mario 3D Land is a pretty solid entry in the Mario franchise and warrants an 8.7/10 from me.

Apr 20, 2018
One of the few games I actually have nostalgia for. When I was 9, whenever I finished my homework I would pick up my DS and play this game for a while. Pros: + Gameplay: Collecting stars is a LOT of fun. The punch and kick moveset Mario had is still in my opinion the BEST moveset he ever had, with Odyssey being REALLY close behind. + Level Design: Really great level design. Plus, the remake's new levels were a blast to run around. + Minigames: Why didn't they return in Odyssey, Nintendo? Cons: - Graphics: I personally prefer SM64's graphics. - Resolution: The resolution of the game hurts the graphics a bit too. Overall, SM64DS is well deserving of warranting a 9.5/10. It's such a fun game.

Apr 20, 2018
Honestly, even though it changed some of the generic, overused stuff Pokemon had, it wasn't really that good **** in my opinion. Pros: + Story: ...Better than USUM's messup, but NOWHERE near the best story in any game. + Lack of a National Dex: As said in my Ultra Sun review, THANK GOODNESS IT'S GONE! + Post-Game: Despite being COMPLETELY unoriginal (XY post-game had the detective stuff first), it was still good. Mix: = Gameplay: Meh... same as EVERY OTHER MAIN SERIES POKEMON GAME. = Soundtrack: It's ok, I guess. Cons: - Trials: Boring, barely require any effort. - Graphics: I know Nintendo isn't about graphics, but for even 2016, they ****. Overall, Pokemon Sun/Moon warrant a 5.5/10 from me. Not the best Pokemon games, but not the worst.

Apr 20, 2018
Horrible. My first Zelda game was a disgrace to the franchise. Pros: + Literally nothing except for introducing me to Zelda Cons: - Controls: Even Skyward Sword handles better than this trash. - Gameplay: Traveling in the overworld is REALLY boring. - Story: More barebones than BotW's. - Everything else Overall, Phantom Hourglass is SO laughably bad that it warrants a 2/10 from me.

Super Mario 3D World9
Apr 20, 2018
One of the only reasons to own a Wii U to be completely honest. While I am more of a fan of the open-air-esque levels of Odyssey and 64, the levels in 3D World blew me away in terms of fun. Pros: + Gameplay: SO MUCH FUN! The cat suit is by far my favorite power up in Mario history. + Co-Op: It's basically Gameplay x4. + Soundtrack: Pretty great. + Level Design: 99.5% Fun, .5% filter. + Graphics: Pretty good, especially for a Mario game. Cons: - Requirements for 100%: ...BEAT EVERY LEVEL AS EVERY CHARACTER TO GET NOTHING EXCEPT FOR AN EXTRA STAR ON THE SAVE FILE? Overall, Super Mario 3D World warrants a 9/10 from me. Such a fantastic game.

Kid Icarus: Uprising10
Apr 19, 2018
I finally can write my review on this game. Honestly, this is my third favorite game of all time mostly since it has SO much charm and creativity within it. Pros: + Gameplay: The controls can be complicated at times, especially if you're a lefty, but it can be solved by shooting with L instead of A or B. Overall, the gameplay for me was REALLY fun. + Weapon Variety: This type of weapon variety is AMAZING. The fact that you could choose a type to suit your needs is amazing. + Combat: Like stated above, the weapon variety is really amazing. The combat causes the controls to be hard to master, however, once mastered, the combat can feel smooth. + Graphics: Best on the 3DS BY FAR. + Story: REALLY GOOD. The characters are amazing (unlike most Zelda characters) and whenever there's a joke, it usually makes me chuckle a bit. The fourth-wall breaks are also pretty good as well. + Multiplayer: Better than Smash. Overall, this game warrants a 10/10 from me. It's such an amazing RPG that was overlooked because of it's controls, and that hurts me.

Kirby Star Allies8
Apr 19, 2018
A REALLY fun and charming Switch game, and looks better than a certain game that released after it (*cough* Detective Pikachu *cough*). But it's held back by some pretty big flaws. Pros: + Presentation: NEARLY perfect. + Soundtrack: AMAZING! But then again, Kirby always has top notch soundtracks. + Graphics: ...Why does Kirby have such great graphics? + Game Modes: Story Mode was pretty fun, the minigames were good, and the post-game modes were amazing. + Story: I mean, it's not the best (obviously), but for a platformer, it's pretty good. Bad: - Difficulty: Oh wow, a Mario Odyssey fan complains about a game being too easy! Hahaha! No. Unlike Odyssey, I put almost no effort into the story mode. If it wasn't for co-op and a certain post-game challenge, it would be a WAY too easy game. - Length of Story Mode: As much as I liked the Story in the game, it was just way too short for me. That combined with the lack of difficulty puts this game down a bit. Overall, Kirby Star Allies warrants an 8.7/10 from me. A great, yet flawed return to console for Kirby. (Also, I forgot to mention this was the first Kirby I've played since Super Star Ultra.)

Fun for 5 minutes, then gets obnoxious. This is the first game I ever wanted a refund on to be completely honest. Mix: = Characters: They're alright. The backstories are cool and all, but... = Multiplayer: The only fun part about the game honestly. = Music: The music isn't that bad to be honest. It's a shame the songs aren't even memorable aside from the main theme (like another game I know...) = Grand Prix: The only good thing about singleplayer to be completely honest. Bad: - Controls: They ****. BADLY. Also, yes, I know I can change them now, but that isn't enough to pull me back into the game. - Singleplayer: It's atrocious, especially for a Nintendo game. - Fun and Replay Values: The game is at rock bottom in terms of fun and replayability in my opinion. Overall, ARMS is barely able to warrant a 5/10 from me. Try again next time, Nintendo.

Pokemon Ultra Sun7
Apr 19, 2018
Honestly, I REALLY hate the fact that it's two versions instead of one. I actually was going to quit the franchise, but then I gave this game a try and I think I'm done with this repetitive franchise. But, judging the game by it's own merits, it's not a bad game at all. Pros: + Variety in Pokemon: WAY better than Sun and Moon's low variety. + Ultra Space: Minus the lowest quality motion controls, it's a pretty cool concept. + Lack of National Dex: UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT! I hated that the Shiny Charm was locked behind the National Dex in previous titles. + Ultra Megalopolis Battle: Honestly, the only battle I liked aside from the Champion battle Mix: = Soundtrack: Meh... Pokemon soundtracks aren't that great in my opinion, and this game didn't fix that (nor did Sun/Moon, which pretty much almost the entire soundtrack was from those games). Aside from the Legendary Final Battle in Ultra Megalopolis, it was meh. = Story: Well... Pokemon isn't really about story isn't it? THEN WHY IS THERE ONE IN THE GAME ANYWAYS? I did enjoy some parts of the story, but for the most part it's just as good/bad as Sun/Moon. = Gameplay: It's literally the same thing as EVERY OTHER POKEMON GAME BEFORE IT (and hopefully not after it). Cons: - The Dual Versions: Why couldn't this just be one version? - Side Quests: Again, it's an RPG. Why can't effort be put into RPG things? - Motion Controls: What idiot thought Motion Controls and Pokemon would mix? But then again, at least there's an option to turn them off. BRUTALLY HURTS THE GAME: - Barely any difference between Sun and Moon and USUM: This alone hurt my experience with my Ultra Sun playthrough. I mean, there are still quite a number of changes, but they aren't that frequent. May as well just have this game be DLC as a second file... Overall, the game is good, not great, but good. I believe it warrants a 7/10 from me.

Super Mario Galaxy 29
Apr 19, 2018
I know this is a REALLY late review, but I gotta release my opinion eventually. This game is by far my third favorite Mario game, with Odyssey being my favorite and 64 DS being second. Pros: + Gameplay: Pretty great, though I definitely missed the diving option in this game. + Soundtrack: Amazing, but overrated (just like Galaxy 1's) + Enemy Variety: I mean, it's basic Mario enemies, but what's more memorable than a Goomba or a Koopa? + Yoshi: It's Yoshi, ok? Yoshi is amazing, especially with the infinite flutter glitch. + Puzzle Plank Galaxy: ...It's an amazing level, ok? Mix: = Level Design: While the levels are FAR from bad, except for the ball ones, those are atrocious. Plus, the levels aren't too memorable, however I can still remember quite a number of them (like Supermassive Galaxy and Throwback Galaxy). = Graphics: For a game from 2010, they aren't necessarily bad, but I guarantee there were better looking games from that time. = Story: OH WOW, I'M JUDGING THE STORY OF A MARIO GAME!1!!!!!1!11! Yeah, it's the same story from Galaxy 1. Cons: - Motion Controls: While not the worst on the Wii, that goes to probably some shovelware game, the ball levels warrant it as a con. - Stuff is Reused from Galaxy 1, A LOT: Ok, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the ending of the game was just fanservice (though the good kind of fanservice). Despite being a sequel, it reused a lot. However, this is more of a nitpick because there were enough differences between the two to call this game a sequel more than v1.5. Overall, the game is amazing and warrants a 9/10 from me. In my opinion, it's better than Galaxy 1.

Super Mario Odyssey10
Apr 19, 2018
I have decided to completely redo my Odyssey review, which is STILL a 10/10 and my personal favorite Game of all Time. This game completely OBLITERATES Breath of the Overrated, which I can't even play for longer than 5 minutes without being bored out of my mind anymore. Pros: + Gameplay: Masterfully executed within every kingdom. There was more variety in the gameplay of Odyssey than in previous Mario games. + Soundtrack: I'm probably alone on this, but Odyssey's soundtrack is the best Mario has ever had. Galaxy's soundtrack can't come near this in my opinion. + The Kingdoms: I personally LOVED every single Kingdom. Whether it's for the beautiful setting or the minigames, they all had a LOT of charm. + The Objectives: While there are a number of effortless moons, they are excusable since they are OUTNUMBERED by the better moons (unlike Korok Seeds that require ZERO effort to obtain other than looking up a guide because BotW does a poor job with Korok Seeds). + The Graphics: While not the best I've seen, they are definitely THE BEST Nintendo ever pulled off. The graphics alone pulled me into the game. + The Bosses: Ok, maybe the Broodals might not be the best bosses in a game, but at least they aren't Blight Ganons. All the other bosses, however, made me actually have to try. Plus, the bosses are unnecessarily AMAZING. + The Ending: This might be a controversial statement, but I loved the ending of Odyssey. Yep, I said it. + Camera Mode: Why isn't this in every game? Con: - Nose Physics: It's so minor that I don't know if I could even call it a nitpick, but it ruins pictures sometimes. Overall, like I said above, this game is a SOLID 10/10, my GotY from 2017, and my personal favorite Game of all Time. I have never experienced this kind of fun before in my life.

Mario Party: The Top 1007
Apr 19, 2018
Overall, not a bad game, but not a great game. The only other Mario Party I bought was DS, and I was hoping I could experience some boards from previous Mario Party games, but in the end, I was disappointed. But what REALLY shines, and I mean REAAAAALLY shines, is the minigames. The selection is still flawed though, as it doesn't have any handheld MP minigames (c'mon, where's the Mario Party DS representation?) and the selection it does have doesn't equally represent each game. The board mode, or whatever it's called, is downright mediocre. I mean, I like the concept of everyone goes at once (but the turn-based gameplay is still better), but it wasn't done properly here. Overall, I really liked Mario Party: The Top 100, but not enough to warrant it at least an 8. As of right now: 7.7/10
