Though not as impressive as the first game in the series, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales still serves as a worthy follow-up, continuing to provide fun gameplay with some cool additions such as Mile’s Venom powers, some tweaks to the web-swinging that help improve and make it feel smoother, a nice soundtrack, and an entertaining story, it’s all in all a good AAA games till even worth the price.

A fitting and thrilling finale, Uncharted 4 serves as an amazing finish to the series. Serving a story that proves to be the most emotional and dramatically rich of the series, Uncharted 4 continues to deliver on an immersive soundtrack, incredibly fun gameplay, with great additions such as vehicles or the grappling hook, jaw-dropping extremely memorable set pieces, and fitting ends for a cast of one of my favorite casts of characters in gaming, Uncharted 4 is truly worth every cent.

One of the first games I had when I got a PS4, the Uncharted trilogy served as my introduction to triple-A gaming and is still the standard by which I way other AAA games till even now. A thrilling, exciting showcase of exciting gameplay, tense and incredibly memorable set pieces, some great soundtracks, and some of gaming’s most likable characters, and stories that get better and more enthralling with each entry, even the weakest entry of the trilogy with the first game still provides you with an unforgettable, globe-trotting experience.

An incredible sequel that improves upon the original in truly every way, with far more entertaining gameplay with the addition of the spin dash, much more exciting and immersive level design and locations to explore, an iconic soundtrack, fun yet difficult special stages, and thrilling boss battles, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 brought Sonic really helped cement Sonic as a gaming icon.

A great improvement on the basic the first Sonic provided, Sonic CD has far greater presentation, sound design, and special stages, with some great gameplay additions such as the spin dash and peel out all coming together to create an impressive and exciting experience, the soundtrack especially being a highlight (I played with the JP/EU soundtrack enabled). The special stages are also very fun. My complaints would be that the levels might be a little too sprawling and free for their own good, as finding both the generators and projectors during every act and every stage can grow confusing and tiresome with no clues or hints provided and the time limit not leaving you much time to explore too long, which left me using a guide throughout the game to reach and destroy each one. Overall it’s still an awesome game.

A decent foundational game from which its sequels greatly improved. Green Hill Zone is one of the most iconic opening stages in all of gaming for good reason, serving as I feel the best part of the entire game, though the following zones aren’t too bad. The special stages are pretty fun, and the overall package is decent even if it peaks at the start.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

A fun souls-like Star Wars game with a pretty good story. Playing it on the default difficulty, I had an enjoyable time learning and mastering the gameplay and mechanics, with the souls-like combat working surprisingly well with giving you a satisfying Jedi experience as you unlock and master different force and lightsaber abilities through progressing both the story and skill trees provided. The game had a lot of fun and difficult boss fights that felt great to beat, and the different world you’re able to explore were all well-designed with lots of collectibles to find, even if a little lifeless when not in an important or focused on area and a little slow and frustrating to navigate when you have places you want to go to quickly and can’t fast travel to. The story as mentioned earlier is pretty good, giving an entertaining journey to experience, that although it didn’t tug at my heartstrings or greatly amaze me as some of gaming’s best stories can, still provided lots of exciting set pieces and tense moments.

A fun if a little short puzzle game that’s great to play whether by yourself or with a friend, which is how I completed the game. The presentation and atmosphere are extremely charming and top notch, with the controls being simple and easy to understand. The gameplay even if simple can be surprisingly tense at times, with the puzzles needing some more thinking and planning then you might expect. Overall a great time, even if the main game isn’t long and the gameplay simple and a little repetitive.

An incredibly fun and addicting battle-royale. I’m already a big fan of regular Tetris, but making it a competitive free-for-all is a stroke of genius. The gameplay loop feels and plays great, with the daily tasks helping keep me engaged and playing longer. The extra modes don’t entice me much though and I’m not into the game enough to be playing daily, but Tetris 99 is definitely a game I’d recommend trying out.

Reigns: Her Majesty is a similarly fun resource-management game compared to the first Reigns, still perfect for quick stop-go play on a phone. The gameplay loop is decent and friendly enough, with gameplay additions and changes as well as the many events within the game helped keep things interesting and different enough from its predecessor. The clues given in game to help beat it still weren’t very through though, so I once again consulted outside sources to finish the game. I didn’t continue to play it after I beat it, though it does have good replay value like the first even if it didn’t hook me.
