I tried to give this game a chance. I really did. But Silent Hill f is a tedious, boring mess. Stamina, focus and weapon degradation are all things that have no business being in a Silent Hill game. And they aren’t even done right. Combat is clunky, tedious and boring. And therein lies the issue: all of those things are in this game because it ISN’T a Silent Hill game. Silent Hill f is a game that was made and someone decided to slap the Silent Hill name on it to sell copies. After how amazing the Silent Hill 2 remake was, how on earth can anyone enjoy Silent Hill f? Critics HAD to be paid off to give this game a good review. I refuse to believe legit gamers like this game. I genuinely don’t understand. I guess people just have low standards and more than likely never played Silent Hill back in the day. And people complain about Silent Hill Homecoming being bad? Homecoming is a masterpiece compared to Silent Hill f. Maybe if Silent Hill f was sold as the indie horror game that it is, I could see giving it a bit higher score than a 3/10. But as it is right now, it really doesn’t deserve anything higher. Shame on anyone who likes or supports this game.

Great story, fun Kombat, great voice acting (except Meagan Fox, who is terrible), and, best of all, Havik is back. I also really enjoyed Alan Lee’s portrayal of Shang Tsung. Easily one of the best characters in any of the recent games. I had to take off points for the awful “Invasions” mode. It is repetitive, unrewarding, poorly done, overly-difficult, tedious and the Invasions (and the menus) run at 30 fps. Whoever decided to get rid of the Kypt and add Invasions in should not have a job.

10/10. I don’t care what the Ocaria of Time fanboys say. This is the best Zelda game to date. I was around when the original launched on the NES. I was around during A Link to the Past on Super Nintendo. I got Ocarina of Time on launch day. I got Wind Waker and Twilight Princess on launch day. I was there for the unveiling of Skyward Sword. I was the first person in my city to get an orignal Switch and Breath of the Wild on launch day. I even named my daughter Zelda. I did. That’s 100% true. I have literally been playing Zelda games for 40 years and Tears of the Kingdom is, in my opinion, the best yet. It’s ok to like good games, you know…
A decent game with a good story, but it just isn’t Hyrule Warriors. It is repetitive and boring after a while. The combat isn’t up to par, either. Nothing will compare to the original game.
Yet another boring Outer Worlds game. Obsidian seems to have the ingredients to make a great game, but they don’t seem to know how go usesaid ingredients properly.

Despite its few flaws, Lies of P is an absolute gem **** and one not to be missed. It can easily rival the best that FromSoftware has to offer, and, in my many years if playing Souls game, I can say that it even surpasses FromSoftware titles. This is the single-best Souls clone I have ever played. This game is overflowing with lore and potential for anyone who plays it to discover. Yes, the game can be extremely frustrating, but the good oushines the bad every time, leaving us with an amazing game. I can’t wait to see what else Neowiz & Round8 have to offer.I’m convinced that people and companies who didn’t give this game a high score don’t understand how to play Souls games, nor do they appreciate what Lies of P did. Sad, really, because Lies of P is better than Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring or any Dark Souls game, and that’s saying a lot. It took me a long time to admit that but it’s true.

Another FAST game, another tip-of-the-cap to F-Zero and WipEout and another great installment. The game looks great, runs really well, and the fusion and jump mechanics are awesome. I just wish there were more vehicles. Fast RMX, while great, was too fast for its courses. Fast Fusion found a good balance... mostly. Unfortunately, like with Fast RMX, keeping the same courses for all three speeds sometimes backfires. Sometimes you go way too fast in hypersonic for the track and it creates a big issue. Another huge issue is the awful rubber-banding in this game. No matter how fast you go, and no matter how perfectly you drive, the AI is right up your butt and they constantly spin you out. It really takes away a lot of enjoyment. They released a patch addressing it but honestly, they need to release another patch. Overall, this is a great game that is absolutely worth your time, but it could use more content and machines, and the awful rubber-banding needs to be addressed. This game is more fun than Mario Kart World, though.
I really don’t see why this game is so praised. It’s pretty boring and lacks so much depth. It is repetitive and runs actually pretty poorly. The frame rate stutters a lot. I wish they would do two things with DK: 1) Redo his eyes so he doesn’t look drugged out and 2) Stick to 2.5 D platforming games. Like Sonic, 3D DK games just aren’t very good. I genuinely don’t understand the praise for this game. I’m convinced people don’t understand gaming anymore.
As far as roguelikes go, Hades 2 is decent. But given how shallow these types of games are, I can’t justify anyone giving it a 10/10. It may be a 10/10 for the genre, but for an actual video game, it isn’t even close.

Mario Kart World is decent, but lacks innovative track design and any semblance of balance. Rubber-banding is always present in Mario Kart games, but it can get bad. Mario Kart 64 may be the worst, though. I have a few burning questions: Why do the cc’s matter at all for difficulty? Why can’t we just select the cc’s and difficulty as separate things? What happened to mirror mode or 200 cc mode? Why don’t they just finally do a Nintendo Kart and have Link, Zelda, Captain Falcon, Fox, Kirby, Samus, Diddy, etc. instead of ridiculous characters like baby characters and NPC-type characters? Why did they limit the amount of options for gameplay? Why is the A button used for accelerate? So I can get carpal tunnel in my thumb? Mario Kart World has such potential, but at the end of the day, Mario Kart 8 is better in every way. Mario Kart World feels… souless.
Despite its rough start, Cyberpunk 2077 has turned into one of the best games I have ever played. A solid story, good FPS mechanics, good weapons, fantastic graphics, amazing lighting, good (now) technical performance, vibrant characters, great voice acting and on top of everything, CDPR did an amazing job working with real city planners to design Night City. It’s a very vibrant, in-depth, realistic city. While I do enjoy GTA, mixing that with the Cyberpunk aesthetic is something special. The game may still have bugs and glitches, but no more than any other open-world RPG. The game was just a great experience that stuck with me. I can’t imagine not giving this game a 10/10. It deserves it. I don’t know what game I would be saving a perfect score for otherwise.

Overall, a good Souls game that lacks some polish. I liked the story, characters, customization and the ability to bring a companion with you if you want. While the level design is nothing special, I enjoyed unlocking all of the sections of the maps. Stamina drains way too fast, though, and healing takes way too long. When you need to heal during a boss fight, it feels almost impossible because it is so slow and the boss constantly targets you and not your partner. Otherwise, the game is much better than the scores it got. I feel like people who give this game low scores did so because they are not good at the game. Maybe they should not play Souls games?

Another great SpongeBob game from Purple Lamp. While I enjoyed the locations in Cosmic Shake a bit better, the characters and story are more vibrant in this game. The combat and platforming are significantly better this game than Battle for Bikini Bottom or Cosmic Shake. Titans of the Tide provides a decent challenge for being a SpongeBob game. One complaint I have are the various glitches/bugs. The game needs to be ironed out a little. Otherwise, the game is great. Oh, and there is a Dark Souls reference and a live-action video featuring David Hasselhoff, so that’s pretty awesome…

One thing people need to stop doing is comparing Tormented Souls to old-school Resident Evil. Totmented Souls was, and still is, a tip-of-the-cap to old-school Silent Hill. Especially Tormented Souls II. Every little nuance, the music, the characters, the puzzles, going into an alternate dimension; it’s all Silent Hill. Tormented Souls 2 is another great game, but unlike the first Tormented Souls, Tormented Souls 2 suffers from unbalanced difficulty, ammo & health that is a little too scarce, multiple enemies at once (which makes you dump your ammo) and they have this bad habit of tossing you into boss fights with no health or ammo. I don’t forsee them balacing the game like the first Tormented Souls, which is too bad.

While nothing will compare to Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, CrossWorlds is a worthy contender with good ideas. The game is held back a little by an unbalanced difficulty, slight handling issues, shallow customization options, limited content and lackluster track designs, but otherwise, CrossWorlds is one of the best in the franchise.
While Ghost of Yotei is not quite as good with combat as Ghost of Tsushima, Yotei excels in characters, dialogue and weapons. Both games have deep, fantastic stories, both play the same basic way and both games will take up a lot of your time. Yotei is an amazing experience. You will not be disappointed with it. I think Tsushima may edge Yotei out because Yotei’s combat is extremely unbalanced and frustrating. Enemies block and side-step you 99% of the time, making combat tedious.

This is one of the better games I’ve played in a long, long time. Great story, incredibly creative, great gameplay, great voice acting and great graphics. It was fun and interesting the entire way through. There is no reason to complain about this game, but there are always people who are never satisfied. Ignore them.
Cronos: The New Dawn is a game that borrows from Dead Space, Resident Evil, Silent Hill and maybe a little Metroid sprinkled in. While the game doesn’t do anything better than those other games, it still brings enough to the table to warrant a playthrough. The game has an interesting story, awesome atmosphere, amazing sound effects and tense, 80’s-inspired horror sci-fi music that is marred by poor combat, overly-scarce ammo, no strafe button, repetitive enemies and poor balancing. I’m ok with them not including a difficulty setting, but they really do need to balance the game better. The final boss really highlights how unbalanced this game really is. Still, this game was a pleasant surprise. If you’re looking for a new horror game right now, go with this game over Silent Hill f. Silent Hill f is awful.
This game is a wonderful, beautifully-crafted, unique experience. I enjoyed every second I spent with this game. Great characters, voice acting, quests, personality, loot, combat and gameplay. It captures the essence of Harry Potter perfectly. Judging the hard work that was put into this game because of what the author of the books said is incredibly childish. Wired made complete fools of themselves with their idiotic review. This is not only one of the best RPGs I have ever played, but it is one of the best games I have ever played in general. Ignore the clowns who hate this game because of comments JK Rowling made, which has nothing to do with this game.
Nemesis ruins this game. He shows up, darts in front of you and punches you three times before you can even move. You literally can’t get away from him. And Jill runs slower than Leon in RE2. This game feels half finished, at best. RE2 was frustrating at times but it never felt cheap. RE3 feels cheap and lazy.
Resident Evil 2 is a good game, but after playing it again after the 2023 Resident Evil 4, you really can see the many flaws RE2 has. Gameplay is good, scary and interesting, but the unbalanced difficulty, bad boss fights, inconsistent items and Leon’s slow movements, it definitely isn’t as good as it was in 2019.
Through all Its shortcomings, Dying Light 2 is still a good game. I don’t care for the update where they put 700 volatiles out at night, all over every rooftop, but once you level up enough, it isn’t so bad. Regardless, that was a bad update. Dying Light 2 still offers a decent story (ignore people hating on it), good gameplay and fun combat. The game could have been better and more time should have been spent polishing it, but it is still worth a playthrough.

“Alan Wake?” More like “Can’t Stay Awake.”Sometimes, a game comes out that really puzzles me. It puzzles me because it either gets low scores and is actually a great game (i.e. Tormented Souls), and sometimes, a game comes out that really isn’t that good but it recieves high scores. Alan Wake 2 is the latter. Personally, I found Alan Wake 2 to be very boring. It’s certainly not the worst game, so don’t get me wrong. The story was decent, but not engaging enough to deal with the boring, predictable gameplay and sub-par combat. After so long, I expected the sequel to be better. This isn’t a survival game. I’m not sure why it is being called that. It is just an interactive story with mediocre third-person shooting. There are games that do this much better. I’m still scratching my head at the 89 Metacritic score. Maybe they meant to type 69? If this constitutes an 89, then I give up. The game is too boring, frustrating and poorly executed to be scary. Alan Wake’s story might be decent, but the gameplay isn’t. People saying it’s their “GOTY” make my head hurt. And, to prove how terrible the review system is for games, Silent Hill 2 got a lower score than Alan Wake 2. Yeah, let that sink in…
This game could have been so great. It starts out well enough (except the stupid tutorial), deck builder is awesome, animations are better, cards are great… but then the RNG ruins this game. The AI blatantly cheats, or you get a mana screw when you play (getting no mana during the game). The game jist becomes unfun and borderline unplayable. And don’t even get me started on the blindingly-bright, disorienting menu!
This game could have, and should have, been so much better. The game is charming, funny and does what it sets out to do. However, the game runs poorly, combat (and camera) is stiff and unresponsive, making it more difficult than it needs to be, enemies can be a little unfair, especially with the stiff controls and backtracking is a giant pain in this game. Overall, it isn’t a bad buy if it is on sale, but the game really isn’t worth full price. I would love to see a remake of this game with a bigger budget. I think it could be really good.

This game should have been a lot better than it is. The lack of games, absence of good games and inconsistencies, such as your player throwing themselves to the ground and not moving in badminton, inconsistent power feedbacks in golf, not-so-good motion controls overall and complete RNG in bowling, really become frustrating. Also, basketball is completely useless and not even close to being fun. I like the idea of sports games like this, but bring back awesome games like archery and frisbee. Overall, there is definitely fun to be had, but the game could, and should, be a lot better.
As far as roguelikes go, this one is decent. Leveling up isn’t bad but it isn’t that great, either. Not a whole lot of good stuff to choose from. I do appreciate health drops every now and then. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the awful Shredder fight. I won’t gove away any spoilers, but they ruined that fight. Overall, it is good but not great. It’s worth a little bit of your time. I’m not a huge fan of roguelikes, so maybe I’m biased. Idk. By contrast, I gave Hades 2 a 7/10. I just didn’t see the justification of a 10/10 for a game like that. Take that as you will.
This game is how real survival horror remakes should be done. It stays true to the original yet brings so much more to the table. The design, music, voices, auro, horror… it is all spectacular. Bloober Team did an excellent job. This is Silent Hill the way Silent Hill should be. My only complaint is the frame rate stutters need to be fixed. The optimization could have been better. Still, if you’re a fan of horror games, Silent Hill 2 is a no-brainer. We got remakes of Dead Space, Resident Evil 4 and now Silent Hill 2. It’s like a dream come true.
Like Link’s Awakening, this is another Zelda title that is somewhat ok for a short time and then becomes very boring and very tedious. I think the high scores for this game are because of its name. Nothing exciting, nothing challenging, nothing innovating, nothing creative and nothing worth spending time on. The “learning spells” gimmick is cute for a few minutes, but quickly becomes a tedious chore that loses all fun. Just give me a sword, shield and a bow and let me play the game. This may be ok for little kids who don’t understand what a cash grab or tediousness is, but I hope this is the last of these little mobile-style Zelda games that they are trying to cash in on nostalgia so we can get back to making real Zelda games. At the very least, don’t charge $60 for this. I think we need to start working toward better games for a new Nintendo system. The Switch lost its lure years ago.
