Black Myth: Wukong7
Jan 5, 2025
This game has so many flaws and inconsistencies its incredible. Let me flesh out the worst here before getting into what makes it stand out from the rest : The difficulty of this game is really meh, you know most game developers get this wrong and so is the case here : some bosses are so easy, others just have weird mechanics and some are so tough, even at the beginning of the game... Do not have input read,do not have immunity or resist, do not have health sponge, and please do not just spam forced dodge forever...This is not how difficulty should be. You think they give you tools to be effective in combat ? NO. Most of what you unlock is undesirable, worthless or only effective in a particular way or moment. I dont want to memorize patterns man, this is supposed to be a fun quick combat game with almost only bosses in it, You can get this nice combo attack, you can get this transformation or this spirit. You think to yourself when you unlock it there is no way this is going to be effective against a boss that have unbreakable moves, lots of range and punishing combo/proximity cheap shots and it isnt. You cannot land a combo on bosses unless they are immobilized or staggered. You cant block, there is no dodge really, just a roll that is ''considered'' dodge if made at the right moment. Transformation are just a way to maybe make the boss fall and avoid damage for a duration, spirits have no range or so little...Having other stance is meh, the light attack combo is pretty much the same, only the charged heavy attack differs and the opportunity of combo it gives upon stagger. ''Potions'' are useless or barely have a noticeable effect. You get charms with passive that too feels worthless. The staff is only different in ornaments or stats. There is so much missed opportunity here. On top of that they give you weird obscure quests, invisible walls, hidden passage that can be locked for the rest of the game depeding on progression. I mean comon, the story goes by chapter. Your not supposed to go back into a previous chapter to tell a different version of the story this is really bizarre conception twist that I really dislike, forcing a new play through to unlock it seems tedious at least. Why have a limited amount of ressource forcing carefull late choice of updrages if you can respec anytime to try a different build for a boss but you cant have maxed out spirit or gourds or armors in one playthrough. You will unlock a passage with a cool badass looking mechanic and just find a terrible forward path with 2-3cheapshot mobs and a boss and thats it...This games tries to imitate God of War but its lacking personality. All the show here is in the aesthethic, the character designs and the lore. Too much lore to be honest, I read every peace of story in chapter 1 and I was already burned out in chapter2, not caring about the background of mobs and bosses anymore. Too much of it is like not enough, it loose its preciousness. Anyway what this game does right is the charm it has with the cultural background. The story its based on is really akin to old mythology and its a wonder to behold. There is some wisdom here underneath this flood of ornament. I like mysteries, secrets and not having everything blatantly evident. I like that sometimes its really hard (albeit often for the wrong reasons) I like Wukong, he is cool and I wonder if they will make a series about every other Chinese Gods? Daji? Chang'e?Hou Yi? Mulan? Ao Kuang? Etc... I like this game but honestly half the time I played it I was thinking that Elden Ring would be better and that I wanted to play Elden Ring instead. I played on ps5 and on perfomance mode, the graphic one is unplayable and beware there is a weird vignette aperture closing thing when you move the camera that is really annoying like your closing your eyes and the light is diminished...

Silent Hill 25

Im not finished with the game yet and I kinda wish I was already... But first the good :Aesthethic, the atmosphere, the puzzle and the psychosis here is really awesome. I really dig that vibe, its a different kind of survival horror and enemies movement are awkward in a good way. But to be honest after the Hospital part (theres the reality and then you do it kinda all over again with variation on the nightmarish unreality...) I was burned out. I wanted the game to end soon and then I got to the Jails with another completly set of maps and I gotta take a break. There are some moments where items are in too much abundance, others where they are too scarce. Most of the interactions with Npcs makes no sense at all... Zero sense. The character is not talking about the monster or the fact that its almost impossible for them to be here at this moment without having to face whatever **** think the game would unfold its secret to make you understad but not really... This is an older game and it shows in the story progression (which is almost unexistant). Directors touch is still present when you activate stuff and then the map changes... When you use melee sometimes you dont know if you got enough range to attack because of a weird skate move and it locks with the enemy movement... I wanted more creepy atmosphere with deep story telling and less going around every room just to unlock the way to another giant map with godzillion rooms... I do not feel that James care about anything really and when he runs for absolutly no reason after the girl it makes me not care about anything too... Maybe the ending will shed light on some parts here and there but I am dissapointed. The spin of survival horrror to something like psychological horror is really interesting but this game is not making me feel like im uncovering the web of a deep and long intimate story, its more akin to apathy or depression, saddly. I will push myself to finish it and it will make part of my collection but I dont know if I will ever replay it again. Edit : I discarded this game, unistalled and removed from my collection. I could not finish it, it was too boring and tedious and I am not supposed to feel that in a banger. I should be glued to my seat and wanting more of it until its finished and this is not the game.

Hunt: Showdown 18969
Oct 19, 2024
Want to hunt? Want to hunt in 1895? Want to track and hunt demons/monsters? Want to hunt the bounty? Or you just want the biggest human thrill of them all? Hunt the Hunters. This is the best multiplayer experience I've had since Left 4 Dead 2. This easily makes in my top 10 games. I love German Crytek, I build a PC for Crysis 1, another for Crysis 2 and upgraded it then for Crysis3. Then I stopped playing PC for awhile. I knew this game from the early acces but I was hesitant back then, thinking that early acces was a new thing for cheap, unfinished games I decided not to play. Then time went on and I thought that not enough people would still be playing multiplayer for the game to be worth it or that the skill entry level would be too agressive with experienced player everywhere. Not at all. This is the most thrilling, mature, tactical fps I have ever seen and with a 1896 horror setting on top of it. Crytek are genious.
Every game got my heart pounding like everything is about to fall in an instant. Every single one of them. The realism is astonishing. These maps are the best looking maps ever. EVER. You blow up Ubisoft, Fromsoft or C.O.D. for sure. They are incredible. So much that I long for a solo/pve campaign story in them. I will say no more. There is no way any other company right now could deliver the TENSION that this game does. PS: One point lost for mouse cursor bug recurring, add maps, bring back earlier maps into the roaster. More boss and dangerous one, the ones here after 2 or 3 encounter get easy to cheese. And finally change the health/stamina bar thing, I like how it works but it kinda looks like cardboard from a boardgame lying infront of you. More variety, more dangerous and modernize.

I want to encourage this studio and IP because I like it and there is alot of potential here. Yeah this game truly deserves a 6-7 with huge dip in the lore, story, acting/persona characters, enemy placement (still reminiscent of old mmorpg) and weird skating move (forcing fall and making platforming weird in general) But it got real good aesthetic, good combat, good soundtrack for the genre and an absolute beauty to behold... (man those thighs and hips are soothing even more than watching forests or green landscapes) Make a sequel. Up the lore, make the story unforgiving, mature characters and the settings of landscapes with complexity and realism. Add more customization for later, like make-up, body modification (looks, shape and or armor, etc...) Just go all in Rockstar or Fromsoft style and your gonna make a Home Run for sure. And don't be shy to shift the difficulty ten fold, with lesser camps and meaningfull intermissions and decisions towards either going further and risking everything or sticking to the main path with choices that cut-out stuff for the rest of the game if failed. Go for it !!!

It feels more like a Director's cut than an Expansion... This should have been in the first experience of the game because it doesnt really add any new mechanics or complexity. The base game was wonderfull but after a couple playthrough I just can't stand NPCs standing there like cardboard signs that blurp out their 3 sentences like cash registers. I can't stand bosses with 20-30seconds intro saying how much they love themselves and who they are before kicking my ass... Really?? I can't stand the emptyness and the sandboxyness of the world. The music is really great, the panoramic landscapes are beautiful but I need more. I need tension, I need dread, I need to feel in Danger, I need to feel like I could really be there and this look way too much like a weird dream that never took place before I came in and that is frozen in time even though I just passed 300 hours killing every living thing in it, won't budge. Learn to have facial animations, to have NPCs acting and taking part of the story/action with the player and populate the land like there was something there not just aboriginal patrol dudes that I need to kill because I got nothing else to do. Bring this to life. Imagination is a good thing if you want your experience to stay in the 'Classic' zone but for me your getting closer to the 'Arcade' zone. Bring this to life.

Resident Evil Village1

I hated resident evil 7 and I waited to get this on sale for 20bucks and with an Update including third person view. Damn there would be no difference between burning my money than trying to love this ''prototype'' ****. I made it to the second monster in the game, only about an hour or less into it. I was already disgusted by the loot boxes you find on the ground, you break them and pick up items. I hate this, this belongs into an extraction looter, not a survival horror game. I couldnt stand the stupidity of cutscene where your in one place and end up in another one just to find out that spatially it doesnt make sense, the world isnt shown to alloy what just happened. Its a big movie on rail, no realism. How can I be ejected from a basement into the yard and not see any holes in the home afterward ? Those kinds of mistake are killing immersion too much for me. And to end it all after killing my second monster, the body disappear into thin air, leaving MONEY. FxCKING MONEY. What have you become Capcom? Anything else you done is a failure. I never downloaded a game and unistalled it so fast afterward. I was glad Mia got killed in the beginning, she's annoying as hell. That was my RE8 experience. Absolutly, ABSOLUTLY not looking forward to anymore entry by you. Make Code Veronica like the recent remakes you've done and its bye bye your Company.

Aliens: Dark Descent5
Dec 28, 2023
This games copy Xcom and has a wonderful IP for it. Yet still, Xcom is way better even if I felt like aliens and designs felt childish compared to alien franchise. I really enjoyed the first map, it was cool to discover and had tension. After the 3rd map I felt like the game had nothing more to show me, everything felt predictable, the map timing mechanism seem too rigid and encounters were becoming tedious, boring and repetitive. I stopped reading pads with info because I stopped to feel like I could be there for real, the cheap ugly side of the games director choices were overshadowing any fun I could have and I just wanted to experience something more real, less ''patented''. I unistalled during the 5fth mission, by then exploring was pointless, you knew all the time when there would be enemies and what type or rush coming your way and I opened up my time to do something better instead. My advice is : Get rid of the map spawn system, it makes no sense. Aliens are not mind talking to each other on the alien phone so if they are not within ears reach I shouldnt be bothered with an incoming wave. Datapads is boring as hell. Step up your game and make a story worth telling in action on the screen. I will read a book if I want to read. No backtracking every except in open field areas or in specific extraction mission. The view made the tension go away pretty fast. By being able to see the map and corners and stuff on the map, I felt like a techy invisible god most of the time. Cult is chliché omg seen it all before in any alien, zombie ****. Get more real, bring the closeness, the tightness, bring the stealth, bring the tension, make an actual story and get rid of repetitive trivial stuff and objective.

Lords of the Fallen4
Nov 21, 2023
Atrocious. I never felt this angry about game designs and mechanicS than this. I wanted to love Lords of the Fallen so bad, I really like this aesthetic. Damn what horrible decisions about enemy placement, difficulty designs and disgusting performance. This game is unplayable on Quality mode on PS5, too much frame stutter, too much lag and its almost impossible to adjust to this to time attacks and other movements accordingly. The thing is that on Performance mode, the game looks washed-up, everything is kinda brownish-grey without contrast, depth of shape, shadow and blends together making the surroundings low quality. Even with the patches they made, this game is ridiculously difficult. Even at level 50 I barely notice any enhancement to my damage, some enemy have huge amount of armor or health and Im barely scratching them with my heavy attacks, they all have the skate forward move when attacking, smashing the exact position of where you are after evading the first move, its cheap, really. The timing between hits in their combo too feels too much tweaked around the time it takes for you to either block or dodge, breaking immersion, making you remember your holding a controller all the time and just making it more difficult on top of frustrating. You level up a stat and get a 1% increase, almost every enemy is surrounded by cheap shot enemy placed to throw you off, shoot you at a distance with an invisible immunity shield you need to syphon out from a spot before attacking. I cannot sustain this. This is unbearable, when other critics said its better to just run and avoid them, they were right. Your supposed to play a level and get better at it by avoiding traps and overcoming enemies, then at the end of the level you get a BOSS that test what you learned and push you to feel like your getting it than your ready for the next part, the next area, the next mechanic or items, or weapons, or monster move set. Here this is the same 5 or6 enemies all the time, they just get ridiculously high health or armor, are placed in cheap shot spot with godzillion dogs or archers with shield. I never felt like I was progressing whatsoever. Even the boss mechanic reflect that. Youll get to a spawn location, only to be stuck there to return to where you passed to get into the gank narrow spot you need to go and feel hopeless. It makes no sense anyway, Only one or two enemy here and there makes sense (like a knight that is worshipping an altar or something) but the rest are Evidently placed there to wait to cheap shot you, breaking immersion. I am really pissed right now, I unistalled this garbage, hoping they might massively fixed this and try it again in a year, but I doubt that. I loved Demon Souls, Elden Ring and Lies of P. This game is more attractive by its looks and aesthethic but lacks utterly in any other area. This is the most interesting, beautiful bad game I ever played. I will gladly destroy my physical copy of it the next time I play and have this feeling. Thanks... Tried it again after 6-7months, after patches. I made the same amount of progression before being overwhelmed with frustration and threw it in garbage and unistall. I like to play my games on Hard or the Hardest difficulty, I love survival horror and souls game. This isnt a game, its an attempt and a failed one. Broken piece of ****.

Most of the game is really easy and then some bosses are nearly impossible. Why have this tremendous armory of weapons and builds to choose from if the bosses are META and forcing you to act a certain way to get past them... ? The locking mechanism also is poor, you can use the aim assist but it never keeps the lock on the enemy and don't switch the view of the mecha to follow it past the screen. Its really annoying. No difficulty settings? I really think that when reviewers online say that 95% of players wont even complete the 1st chapter it tells a lot about your decisions process in making this game. I'm not really a fan of mecha games and wanted to try this thinking I would add a new genre to my repertoire seeing it was a From Soft game but no, this ain't it. This is for the hardcore fans only. What a waste.

This game is so disappointing. Three major flaws in the first hour : Controls, Music and Story. Controls are junky, like you are playing counter-strike, you walk too slow, you run too fast. Sprint is alright for combat but we are 2023 and this cannot sustain comparison to other developers not even their own past published games like Fallout. It really feels like a half-life mod. The music is so bland and boring, I dont know why you guys lost Jeremy Soule after Skyrim, that soundtrack was ASTONISHING, but everything Inon Zur do sounds like Crysis and its not good. The story is so much copy-past formula of past titles with no soul, like your reading a chapter but all that is written is the name of the chapter. This is a MAJOR FLAW. From then my jaw dropped when I got into my ship with excitement and I was pumped to hell when I saw the animation when you get to sit in the cockpit and then boom, Gravity hit me like a ton of brick. You dont even lift off your ship, you dont fly it in the air, in the atmosphere, you dont travel with it, you dont explore with it, you do nothing in that cockpit except shooting random pirates sometimes between cutseen/loading screen and even that they manage to scrap it. How can I hear pirates in their own ship saying childish stuff like : This isnt over yet !!! ??? Really ??? I knew from that point that this game isnt getting the passing grade. Im not even talking about bugs. Why have this awesome mechanics to build ships if you do nothing with your ship ??? So you explore planet and put your helmet on. Where is the helmet ? This is first person game, and you see nothing. No shield, no reflection of light, they didnt bother to make you feel like you are wearing it, there is nothing in the screen, like you are a rover with a mounted camera at 5foot of height that looking right and left. They could have put the HUD in the shield of the helmet that would have been so cool, but nothing here. Then you think you should becarefull about the time you spend here because there is no atmosphere and your supply of Oxygen is limited. Again no, there is no supply of oxygen in Babyfield, you just use it like stamina and it comes back, same with fuel when you use the map to load the cutseen to travel to another planet. Im leaving this here. No worth it to talk about bugs, the story or character or procedural stuff or anything else really. These were MAJOR FLAWS. I dont know whats happening at Bethesda, too much Yes man, or family vibes where nothing is really important and there is no quality control and nobody is held accountable for anything serious. I dont understand, this game is a regress from their past titles. In space, you need to use trusters to escape the gravity of whats bigger than you. When you are past the threshold, you are ballistic. This isnt a jet, you dont need to burn your trusters to move around. If there is no air, there is no sound too. Nothing here makes me believe they are sci-fi lovers or space enthusiast at Bethesda, really?

Frame drops around water, fire and screen tearing almost every time I switch the view rapidly... Its the first time I see my PS5 struggling that much. Witcher 3 updated version was bad but this is almost unplayable at times. Great game but a lot of backtracking to complete and I can smell the woke subtlety trying to make its way into the echoes. I'm tired of stupid droids talking like 6years old clowns all the time. Work bench feels empty... Should have been more variety of items or something... Damn. Vendors too are kinda useless, buy a haircut ? Enemies are too Disney, too tuned down, not visceral enough. Opportunity lost here to expand, innovate and its a big let down. The addition of Npcs standing around like cardboard signs saying irrelevant stuff was a mistake. I liked the first game more so I can't give the passing grade here.

Fun game but Resident Evil 2 remake is still superior in a lot of aspects even if its several years older. Get rid of the arcade, retro, old school stuff please. Smashing barrels with stuff in it. Items not relevant to the enemy dropping them. Get rid of vendor and cash as it is... Its mystical yes but immersion breaking, irrelevant and makes no sense. Jewels ? Who gives a rat crap about that in a time of near apocalypse like RE. No more QTA please, it ****. No more infinite ammo, Rambo sequences driving stuff on a trail. This is supposed to be a dark, horror survival game... Come on. No more closing enemies spawning from nowhere. Its hard to feel present when almost at every turn you know stuff will happen or not because of a trigger... Director touch breaks the world. I would have preferred smaller maps with more meaning in them. Fewer enemies and more spooky and dangerous atmosphere. Nothing is really scary and you can easily just shoot everything, running almost like DOOM with exploding barrels picking up dropped items. You guys are almost there ; graphics, game-play, aesthetic, story, mechanics. Just be more serious and severe. And for cry sake, Capcom, stop it with boss that have an eye for weak parts or indestructible ones that need to be at this particular spot when you activate the switch, we done that a million times already.

I compared this game to Half-Life within the first hour of it. I love Russian culture, politics and what they have done with this game. Its not perfect but its nearly there. The story and message is brilliant and the critics of what is going on here and there might not agree with liberals these days but damn I agree with almost all of what is told in it. This game is telling a story more aligned with my personality and I love it. You can say what you want about western countries but the way we act now don't really makes us want to go outside and talk to everybody like we are a big family anymore, quite more the contrary and it feels hypocrite. There is some bugs and glitches here and there but I don't even want to talk about them. This is my second favorite game on PS5 after Demon Souls Remake and I love it. If you like Half-Life, Wolfenstein, BioShock, SOMA. This is way better than Fallout for sure. Браво!

Fun but very inferior to the first one. They should have deleted all side quests and exploring and just give the linear story as a DLC for the first game. Soundtrack is meh compared to the first one. The story and visuals are great. I wanted to master every combat tactics in the first one, in this one I wanted to avoid all fights cause they were overwhelming and redundant. Maybe im getting older but lot of it felt botched. I mean almost every enemy explode when they die, they all have missile attack and unbreakable move and it felt poor, very poor compared to the first game. I also didn't care about the godzillion runes or useless items. The menu screen is really ugly and side-quests, lore and exploring too rigid. I played the first one twice and this one I will skip chests, some side-quests, didn't care about reading stuff and will not play it again. Not looking forward to the next entry in the series unless they evolve it to a more mature and rpg oriented experience.

I complained about stuff for the first half hour, then shut my mouth and was completly into it. Yeah enemies and npc still have a vanilla look, punching a glass fuse just beside a locked door to open it or no animation when you use a healing item feels like old generation. Some bugs when you open up inventory screen and the music is a little too much, so much that you don't hear the enemy spawning behind you when you kill the one infront of you... Kinda annoying. Lots of little detail like that could have been changed or tuned in but they just went for the core of the game. Its a nice game but I think they should have gone further and changed some of the designs to make it more authentic and immersive. Nobody leaves digital pads with notes on it, I don't want to read about the ship designers name origin. The story telling is kinda meh. Make me believe im Isaac instead. So I say its a great game, lots of scare and fun. But a failed remake if the intention was to upgrade this to the new generation. In comparison the Resident Evil 2 remake is couple of years older and was even better.

FANTASY for who ? The reason its censored and toned down the sexyness is because they want to appeal to female audience. Theres a lot of single female that understand crap about man and relationship that are welcome to big AAA industry as customers. They don't want them to feel bad, because they arent sexy themselves and seeing that man want to at least get some goodies for the eyes in video games. The thing is that they want to see big strong and tall muscular dude in digital creations as well, so bring back the sexyness or loose your fan base male audience (which might be as much as 70%), your choice. Something is telling me that even with the crappy woke mentality, money is going to make them bend in our favour sooner or later. No remake, ever, is going to be worth the full price tag of a new game of current generation, EVER. You don't sell a used car with a new coat of paint the original price. Thats dumb as hell. Never buy a remake or remastered the full price. Make it an upgrade for those who already own the game, or make a new standard price for REMASTER or REMAKE like 60% of current gen price MAX. No offline, no mods, no tcp-ip ? Eddit : Crashes every 30 minutes and forces to run back from portal everytime with a new map... Lower my score to a 3.

30 hours in and be sure I'm not letting go of this game until I have done every quests, find all items and killed all bosses. This game is awesome ! Only complaints (and they are minor ones): Npcs are somewhat non-elaborate, static and soft. There isn't much life or actions by them so far maybe it will change late game but I doubt it. Some enemy attacks, Bosses or traps are linked to what button you press, making the action predictable and loosing immersion. Looks like you are puppeteering the target with the controller... Why every soul like game must make the aiming/zoom mechanics of archery so old-school ? I know there is lots of different looking area in this game but some assets in large open portions of the same landscapes are copy-past like buildings, pillars and irregularities in the surroundings. Everything else is great. This game deserves its reputation. I hope every other companies out there take note and KILL their stupid compass and maps showing everything like your a newborn needing to be fed and learns what a real open world should be like. Its about mysteries, discovery, danger and the unknown. Bravo!

Clearly they put love into the first hours of the game because its the demo or something like that. You start this game and let me tell you : the jungle is astonishing. The pace is slow, making you look at things and take your time... Damn I wished the entire game was like that. You get to the spacecraft where you feel like your really interacting with the surroundings and the first boss OMG... The snake thing wowwwww I was in awe ! Then the game starts... I was disappointed by the lack of animations. You collect a plant and it just disappears, you make a potion and nothing is shown on the screen... then I remembered this is a game about shooting stuff like a one person living army and running all the time... You never get to breath and look at things after that anymore, you just run your typical boring open world game... Skip the sidequest they are a waste of time. The landscape is really only beautiful when lit by the moon at dusk. I never cared about exp pts and the skill tree, completely irrelevant. Attakth game is wasted programming. Stop trying to do like all those other companies, stick to your strenghts and enhance your main objectif instead of copying every other genre altogether. For the sake of every gamers, stop making sidequests that makes you go back everywhere, which you have already visited because its an OPEN WORLD GAME and lots of them you come back a 3rd time because you don't have something yet to open the passage... It felt like a chore most of the time. Main quest is good, lost of details about aboriginal cities structures and cultures. Thats it. Too many similar items. Potions useless Food useless Ultimate they call Valor surge useless Armor coloring useless Every character feels innocent like they were born yesterday... Most enemies jump like fish out of the water and try to slam you twice... I wish they cut a 2/3 of this map and made the whole thing deep and thought-out like the beginning, I think this is the last time I play these kind of games. Even if something feels unique or is good looking graphically. Too much boring and repetitive stuff. Stop it with unreallistic inventories !!! I want mature stuff. Less is more.

This game is for children or teenagers. Its shallow, unimaginative and immature. Combat is a total failure, too much things going on and way too fast. Everybody is screaming lightning bolt or something all the time. Enemies takes all the screen space. Items feel like cheating because the balance is broken. Boss are just bullet sponge with 100k health. There is absolutely no depth here. I regret the time I lost playing this. Gets a 4 because of straight Japanese culture and design of visual. Left 4 Dead 2 was way better. Its still fun but I highly doubt I'll keep playing after completing the campaign on Veteran difficulty. Maybe if they manage an expansion or something. I don't think this game will still be popular in 2022... My biggest complaint is the poor depth of level design. Levels are unimaginative, repetitive and rather small and area like. Absolutely no sense of dread, claustrophobia and danger. You will come back to some of them many time since you travel back and forth to a camp. The loading screens in between maps in the safe rooms will remind you constantly that this ain't a next-gen game. Swarm mode is useless. Spray, clothing, gun skin, banners, all useless. Stop this flooding of worthless items to collect just to make you work longer to get you on track. This gaming culture is just make-up for lack of content and personality. This is a fun shooter still but it feels trivial, short and disposable. You won't be Back 4 More Blood...

Best sword combat game ever. Finally a game where every hits, swings, blocks are real, meaningfull and have impacts. This is my new reference for melee weapon combat. Tsushima is breathtaking. The environment is always trying to tell you something in a poetic manner, asking you to connect with its culture, to stay tuned with life and its fragility. The duels are magnificients. The side quests are a failure. Too many of them with little or no depth at all. It's hard to grow found of any character. It feels shallow and predictable. There is way too many items with no history attached to them and they all have the same setting or surroundings when you find them... Haïkus are great.

The Last of Us Part II8

This game is the second part of the same story, not Last of us 2. And in this regard its perfect. Whats bugging me is that the game took so long to get out, only 2 quarter before PS5... It is exactly like Last of us 1. This game is for the story, yes. I would give it an awful score if it was a standard survival horror game because... really that part was always bad. Nothing in the game play of last of us ever felt scary or urgent. You know that already, monsters feel like dummies on loop patrol every 15 seconds, every area look way suspicious and too much designed to feel real. Its just the characters, the story, the length of their journey that is worth playing through and this is an awesome ps4 exclusive. Im not looking forward for a last of us part 3 though... They need to augment their sens of dread to have an intense game. Soundtrack this time was forgettable.

Don't get hyped over a good idea, a nicely done video and some superficial reviews. Clearly during the first few hours this game looks like those nice reviews online... but if you play it for about 30hours or so... Damn this is one tedious, boring and never surprising game. I really though that the message, the esoteric poetry hidden in this game made it stand out in what you usually see in the industry and I still believe these are good ideas. But the game itself... the pace, the corners, the plot, the world, decisions, Npcs, enemies... pretty much everything in here feels static, redundant, useless or evident... There is no dread here, only flash in your eyes... This game lacks maturity. Despite its prophecy, its astonishing attempt to make you connect the living to bring hope, this game tackles you from the start like you are already dead. -P.S. : Wait two weeks, check User Score before bying anything.
