The new cast members and fresh story are just what was needed, and the deeper exploration of characters we’ve been following for years is very satisfying.

If Daryl Dixon is a glimpse at the types of ambitious swings The Walking Dead franchise is looking to take in its new era, I’m all for it. This is a big, weird story that it’s exciting to see told. It’s easily one of the best Walking Dead things in years (and that’s including the last few years of the original series, too).

[copied from my old account] This spin-off show, featuring my single favourite character from the main show, is an ambitious and phenomenal masterpiece that you can clearly see the crew and actors involved were incredibly passionate about. As always, Norman Reedus does a fantastic job at playing Daryl Dixon in this reprised role, and does a particularly outstanding job at presenting the more serious sides of Daryl that were perhaps clouded Over in the main show with his hilarious little quips and bold but hysterical responses.

The Book of Carol, despite the story's occasionally clunky reshaping, is still a potent, poignant reunion between two Walking Dead favorites. The action is great, the seasonal resolution works, and the final sequence offers clever catharsis.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is a decent little show and has several moments that are significantly better than that.

Daryl Dixon is by no means perfect. There are some murky motivations, eyebrow-raising coincidences, and here and there dialogue that is more mystifying than it can possibly have been intended to be. .... Despite my quibbles, I never got to an installment that made me reluctant to watch the one after it.

AMC’s spin-off is capable enough, and the French setting provides a somewhat distinct feel... As a whole, however, Daryl Dixon could use a little more panache.

This season is not as exciting as the first, even with the addition of Carol. Too many times scenarios are too familiar, either because they feel like rehashes of last season or re-dos of something from another "Walking Dead" show.

مسلسل رائع جدا وبه الكثير من التساؤلات حول بداية الوباء في فرنسا ولذلك ارتباط وثيق بالموسم الأول من مسلسل الموتى السائرون

Daryl Dixon achieves an impressive feat: what Fear The Walking Dead took four seasons to destroy, this series destroyed in just one. The script starts promisingly, but loses its way so quickly that it borders on amateurish. Weightless deaths, empty flashbacks used only as "filler" before discarding characters, and a clear sense of budget cuts. They promised revelations about the origin of the apocalypse and delivered absolute emptiness.

Series was beautifully shot, but overall the story was just okay. Clémence Poésy (Isabelle) was a nice addition to the Walking Dead universe, but she wasn’t enough to hold my interest.

Never expected Daryl of all people to get stuck in a biblethumper story, but here we are. Protected by heavy plot armor and the boy who is the key to everything, he grunts his way through France. Very meh.

I'm French and was intrigued, having given up on TWD in what it feels 30 years ago or so. However, the atrocious acting and dialogues, the pitiful lack of effort in decor and make up makes this show unwatchable after 5 minutes (where we see Daryl going in Les Baux de Provence and what looks like Sète). The plot had potential (A riff on The Last of Us) but alas it is misconstrued.
