The older Simpsons seasons, especially Season 2, are very heartwarming. So classic and nostalgic

Intelligent and dramatic season, with blunt and critical humor, epic stories, as used to be in show's beginning. A mastery that series will never reach again.

It's becoming obvious that The Simpsons, now in its second season, isn't just a product of media hype: Matt Groening's cartoon family is one of the few current works of popular art that possess wit and integrity.

Season 2 is where it really starts to become the best tv show ever. Incredible writing, each a episode classic, characters still not fully formed yet but insane level of quality is apparent already.

Although a LOT better than the first season, it is still a bit lacking and not as pleasant to watch than the newer seasons. Homer is always a funny character, but it feels like he carries the whole season because the other characters just aren't that funny or interesting. The animation is nice though.
