Well-crafted and with a cinematic feel, this series could be the catalyst to reignite The CW’s superhero empire.

Overall, the complaints against the first handful of episodes screened for critics are small compared to Superman & Lois' strengths. It is an alluring first step into a new frontier and might be just the ticket to infuse some new energy into the Arrowverse.

El mejor producto de Superman que se haya hecho en la historia, evolucion de todos y cada uno de los personajes y de verdad es increible lo bien que se tocan temas reales mas alla de lo fictisio de una serie de super heroes, touche.

In some ways, the fact that Superman & Lois feels very different from the shows that have come before it is one of its strengths, and its inherent heartfelt sincerity brings with it a lot of promise; promise it may be able to live up to.

It doesn’t look like it’s going to follow the traditional path that other Superman series have, and that’s just fine with us. Just as we like seeing Clark and Lois as harried parents, we’re also happy to see Superman battle some different enemies for a change.

It’s hard to judge from the pilot and a second episode what the balance of superheroics/teen troubles will be on a weekly basis, but if The CW insists on making more superhero shows at least this mashup of past Superman TV shows gets off to a rousing enough start.

This terribly earnest drama skips past the romance and honeymoon period to more domestic concerns, often moving slower than a spent bullet. [1-14 Mar 2021, p.9]

But for all the logical storylines and character journeys that “Superman and Lois” includes, it nonetheless lacks the spark to make any of it very interesting. Despite solid efforts from Tulloch, Garfin, and especially Elsass to bring life to their stiff scenes, these Kents feel more stuck than striking.

I'm 3 ep in and I am impressed to see a show that really dives into a change in family dynamics with complex characters and enlighten writing. There is some heart being put into this show and its nice to see. a lot of CW shows suffer from Shallow writing this one dose not until episode 10 after that the show takes a turn and not in a good way. I don't know what happened but it feels like the care evaporated.

As a long-time Superman fan, I really wanted to like this. Especially since I enjoyed Taylor Hoechlin's Superman on the Arrow & Flash shows. But "Superman & Lois" seems far more interested in wrangling itself into a CW farm family drama with a focus on sappy relationship drama and Superman just, ya know, not understanding his kids, man. BTW: The very idea that Superman would have twin teenage kids and neither of them know their dad is Superman is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, we've joked for a century about how silly it is that his co-workers at the Daily Planet don't know he's Superman, but now even his own children are fooled. Okay. I will say all the main acting was good. Otherwise, it was just your typical CW show but, oh also the dad is Superman.

some bad stuff happens, "omg i'm a superloser it's my fault" "no it's not your fault" (it is his fault) "omg i have a superplan!" "no don't do this it's superdangerous" "mom omg i say it's my fault" "if you do this you get an ass whooping" "yes maam" goes through the superplan it's superstupid gets a super ass whooping "omg i'm a superloser it's my fault" at least the boys skipped the ass whooping from mommy and supergoods always win somewhere somehow when hopeful music plays because hopeful music is superbad's kryptonite. who wrote this and who kept allowing it for 4 season? i don't remember a single episode that doesn't follow this draft.

So what is that? When it comes to the show, I would rather see the show with Dean Kain.
The story is gritty and everything is consistently badly cast.
