The two-hour pilot is a wonderful show - the best start for a "Star Trek" series in its long and amazing history - and Bakula's instantly likable characterization is no small part of it. [24 Sep 2001]

Show that could have done whatever it wanted but instead chose to stick to the cannonand and whatt we know about Star trek then telling great stories. Enterprise has a bit of a rough starts but really gets going as the seasons go on that puts a lot of emphasis on character building and growing the understanding of the characters unlike Star trek Discovery as an example where the characters seem to just be the smartest people ever instantly with no work ro real character building

The creators of "Enterprise," Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, don't reinvent Gene Roddenberry's wheel, they just give it a spirited turn. [26 Sep 2001]

It has the usual cheeseball sets and gee-whiz computer graphics, but the quotas of weighty moral lessons and pseudo-scientific incantations seem to have been reduced, though hardly eliminated. [26 Sep 2001]

It's this sense of wonder that sets "Enterprise" apart from the more stodgy Star Trek offerings and injects some much-needed fresh energy into the 35-year-old franchise. [26 Sep 2001]

It goes boldly and unapologetically where dozens of series have gone before.... If that's disappointing, the fifth Trek television series still has more going for it than either Deep Space Nine or Voyager did. And yet, Enterprise isn't going to challenge the supremacy of Next Generation or the beloved status of the original series. [26 Sep 2001]

What "Enterprise" doesn't have are charismatic, fun characters. [26 Sep 2001]

Unlike Star Trek Discovery, Star Trek Enterprise is a fun prequel with decent episodes. It deals with the crew of an experimental starship in the 22nd century, a century before the adventures of Captain Kirk, Mr Spock and Dr McCoy. The flaws of this crew are refreshing yet they remain quite likeable throughout, never becoming **** like the characters of Star Trek Discovery. CBS CEO Les Moonves cancelled Star Trek Enterprise after its 4th season but the 4 seasons that did get made, hold a lot of promise and you might find yourself wanting more after the penultimate episode.

Ugh. I just can't, with this show. Because it's Trek, I binged through it all, but it was a struggle, at times. They eventually added some decent depth to some characters, but there were so very many attempts at fan service that fell flat. And the theme song makes me want to gouge my ears out.

Scott can hardly act, let alone command a legacy franchise like Star Trek. Total corp fail RIP Paramount bun in hell.

I watched this only because it was Trek and I wanted to see what it was about. However, it was all wrong wrong wrong. It ignored previous canon by introducing the Borg (again?), amongst others. Aside from the fact that the entire series was a cheese-fest... the theme tune: Holy F**K! It is like a **** 1980s power ballad/bad Kenny Loggins song. Where have the French horns gone? Where went the majesty of the great Trek theme tunes? I couldn't like it at all and, despite me having watched all previous Trek series' several times, this one will not get another outing.
