I think it is good. Not the greatest tv show but it has funny moments and isn't boring to me.

"Space Force" (S02, 7 eps, 1/2hr, Netflix) in its sophomore season comes in with 30% fewer episodes after an 18-month wait, not really confidence inspiring is that? This season is watchable but it has a bunch of complaint points. First, instead of concluding the somewhat exciting season 1 finale, it skips ahead 3-mons to a related inquiry, yawn. Steve Carell keeps the artificially gruff voice of his General character, ugh. We still don't know why wife "Maggie" is in prison for 40-60 yrs (!) but that kind of time means murder-one. A chief complaint I had in season one was that as a comedy it didn't have any jaunty music ala "Curb..." but in the second half of episode 4 they added some! But that was all. Thankfully they did not add a laugh track. I think "facetious" best describes this series in one word, so it's fine to watch when doing other stuff, but if you're focused on it solely and think too much about its implausibilities then you'll be disappointed. So watch it like an episode of "I Dream of Jeannie" because it's really on that same level of silliness.

So incredibly unfunny and so cringeworthy it's unwatchable. In the network days of TV it would have been cancelled after two weeks, but now, incredibly, there's a Season 2.

One of the most underrated shows I’ve ever seen. It takes a couple of episodes to get into but it’s genuinely comical and some great character and is surprisingly touching in places. The dynamic between Steve Carell's and John Malkovich’s characters is particularly good.

There’s something about this show that I really like. There’s issues I have with it but overall I enjoy it. It’s has a lot of heart to it and there’s some moments that are just brilliant but near the end of the first season it jumps the shark. I would give this a seven but those sharks.

John Malkovich as Dr Mallory was the best casting decision ever made. It's a good, well-made and very entertaining show - the relationship between Mallory and Naird is the bedrock ofthe show, and it really works.

funny, absurd, great acting and very casual relaxing series. I recommend that series at every one that want to taste something good. I think It's a refreshing scenario realistic among the absurd and that the cast choice is very well done

This show was a lot of fun. It had a great cast, I don't get why critics were so hard on it as it had a great story and great characters, and had nice comedic moments. Great show, I highly recommend it. I would watch it again and I probably will, can't wait for season 2!

Space Force is a comedy series, that isn't funny. It's written by an old person who imagined the behaviour of young people in a very non-subtle way. Neither does every episode stand on its own nor does it have a clear overarching story. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't boring, but John Malkovich and Steve Carell really carry the whole series. If you want to see Steve Carell in a better role, watch "The Office US" and for John Malkovich I recommend "Being John Malkovich", one of my personal favourite movies. There's better stuff out there.

I enjoyed this TV show. The acting and cast were phenomenal. The Story was emotional and funny. Really hope there's a second season.

Despite it's being mediocre lot of times, something hooked me about it. Maybe it's the characters idiotic but cute actions? Im waiting for at least a second season to clear up the cliffhanger ending for the first.

How the hell did they manage to make Steve Carrell so unfunny? Every attempt they make at comedy is just a forced, cringey jab at moderates.

The writing and timing in this show tends to be excellent. It's one of a few shows that gets me to audibly laugh out loud. Steve Carell is fantastic as always and the dryness of he and other characters mixed with more realistic characters offers a great contrast of personalities in a ridiculous setting to begin with. The show has room to grow but it's plenty entertaining as-is.

I was really looking forward to a good comedy for nerds and someone who's pro-military, but the show is clearly meant for the opposite. Much of the humor was blatantly partisan, making fun of the POTUS (Trump) and the military while having all the foreigners and minorities make up for the Americans' idiocy. It had maybe one good joke per episode with the rest being very lowbrow. If you unironically like Stephen Colbert and like sciencey stuff but haven't really studied it, you may like it. For everyone else, don't bother.

It's utter garbage. If you enjoy overacted hysterical "comedy" you might find it passable though.

I was hoping the would be a new brilliant comedy with Steve Carell leading the team but NOPE. It isn't completely unfunny but I won't remember or think about this show after a week of watching it. Overall I'm disappointed but I hope they improve with a season 2 (if they get the chance).

This should be a lot better given the talent involved. Looks great but the humour misses the mark and it often descends into outright cringe.

Great actors and a talented cast. A relief to watch an actual for real funny comedy

Binged it over the weekend, and was surprised. Yes, i too wish that the series would find it's tone, i could do with a little less "slapstick" humor, i don't think it's needed. But ... i wasn't aware of Steve Carells drama chops. I knew him only from comedy, and that's the interesting part of this series ... yes, he's funny, yes it's comedy, but he plays that kinda in over his head, fragile husband and father very well. Didn't expect that at all. Fell in love with the show (despite its obvious shortcommings), can't want for a 2nd season. If you can look past one or two strange moments and pace, you're in for a treat!

It is impossible to watch. I did not understand why some characters are needed, especially the daughter of the protagonist.

COVID-19 means I don't get out much and I watch things I wouldn't ordinarily watch. A new Greg Daniels (The Office, The Simpsons, etc) TV series "Space Force" caught my eye. And then I saw that John Malkovich was a main cast member. I decide to check it out. The series also has: Steve Carell (The Office), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Lisa Kudrow (Friends) and Jane Lynch (Glee) - so, a strong cast. Two actors I was not familiar with impressed me: Tawny Newsome as Captain Angela Ali, a Space Force pilot Jimmy O. Yang as Dr. Chan Kaifang, Dr. Mallory's lead assistant I hope I seem them in other roles. They were interesting to watch. I have never rated a TV series comedy higher than 8. I prefer other genre, I guess. Regardless, I recommend this series to those likewise running out of things to watch. The writing is professional and above average. There are a few scenes worth seeing. For example where John Malkovich's "double encrypted" file that was emailed to an Earthlink address is exposed. I don't think I noticed a bad acting performance in the entire series.

It's actually pretty good. Have some cliché moments and jokes but you can crack some laughs for sure. The especial effects are gorgeous, one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen on Netflix for sure. I like the 30 Min format. I like

Didn't seem to know if it wanted to be an outright outrageous comedy or a political satire, ended up being neither. Would of benefited from not following Mark home to his family life & angsty teenage daughter who despite being a very good actor **** all the life & fun out of the show. So much potential in the cast went mainly to waste but still potential there for season 2. Stop following Mark home & spend more time inside Space Force thats where the absurdity & fun is. And cut the screen time of the pain in the ass daughter.

I think it’s great, especially (of course) if you like the theme of astronautics and space. Maybe it’s a bit weak on humor, but it also has very funny moments on some episodes I think, I had some good laughs. I would gladly watch a second season.

There are a lot of talented people here and this should be funnier than it is. I think it's just too real to be funny maybe. references to trump aren't funny so much as groan worthy, because no matter how over the top they can choose to go, it's just not beyond the realm of what could actually be. this will probably be much funnier in a decade, if we make it that long.

Complete and utter lifelessness. It's sad to see a great actor like Steve Carrell try his best to work with such poor writing and directing.

Space Force is a comedy with heart — the characters are flawed but endearing people being asked to accomplish ridiculous or, sometimes, impossible things and having to figure out how to do the right thing without losing their jobs. It’s sweet and funny, and I cared about every single storyline in season one. There’s no slapstick, no one-off jokes crammed into the story for the sake of trying to appeal to everyone: just some really beautiful storytelling and the character-based humor that arises from very human characters in conflict. I loved the friendship that developed between Naird and Mallory — Steve Carell and John Malkovich have an intriguing chemistry. The interactions between Chan and Ali are adorable, too, as are Erin and Alabama. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t say more, except that this show delights me, and I can hardly wait for season two!

Definitely not the funniest comedy around, but thoroughly enjoyable. It's absurd to the point where all this can actually happen in reality. That's a bit scary. Give a go.

If you liked the office I think you will like this show. It's sillier but there are some truly hysterical moments. It has some political jokes aimed at both right and left so if you are easily offended no need to watch. A lot of stuff aimed directly at Trump which seems to have many people butthurt in the reviews. All in all I think it's a great show and can't wait for the new season.

I loved it, intelligent comedy mixed with sci-fi that doesn't take itself too serious. Yet the writers managed to make me care for the characters as the season progressed. After the 3rd episode I was hooked as the show takes unexpected turns. Great casting, John Malkovich is excellent.

I liked Space force. Part of me feels people are disappointed because it isn't the office. It has its really warm moments and really fun moments too. It's clearly being satirical but isn't constantly in your face about it and all the talent involve play their characters really well. Just give it a shot and see what you think.

The show just isn't funny. I don't get it. Awesome cast but the humor just constantly misses. I got an occasional laugh but mostly just confused at lack of fun.

I honestly can't tell if they were trying to insult POTUS at the expense of the audience, or if they were trying to insult the audience at the expense of POTUS. What an incredible waste of a (mostly) decent cast.

Very funny comedy, quite a few laugh out loud moments per episode and a fantastic cast

This show is pretty good, but its far from perfect. Its certainly better than most shows these days. Since the recent Dragon Crew launch, it feels like an obsolete, lofi alternate reality, but the show itself is pretty good nevertheless.

The series was slow to start and suffered 3 bland and unfunny initial episodes. It seemed as if the writers had no idea what kind of show they wanted Space Force to be, as it ricocheted between broad comedy and overly saccharine sincerity. However, Space Force found its footing in episode 4 and positioned itself as a dramedy, and made their characters more consistent. The show then took off from there. The latter half of the season was beautifully done, with a lot of heartfelt moments that were earned and with a lot of chuckles and laughs sprinkled throughout. Steve Carell and John Malkovich carried the show and their relationship is one of the brighter moments. Having Steve Carell in the lead role ensures that both the comedy and drama are done well, and he rises to the challenge. Malkovich is the perfect foil to Carell. The supporting cast is fantastic as well, with Lisa Kudrow and Don Lake as standouts. Space Force is not at all like its creators' previous baby (The Office), the humour is considerably more understated and more dry. That said, it has a lot of heart and the real draw of the show lies in its characters and their dynamics. After being disappointed with the first three episode, the show redeemed itself by the end and I'm now looking forward to more of Space Force!

Solid comedy, could use a little more plot development and consistent tone in order to get the most out of the great cast

Space Force is an entertaining comedy. The story is quite modern in many areas. You won't get big laugh but you will smile at all the smart dialogues. I especially like J. Malkovich lines. It's not super realistic but you have to accept it. The General wife is a bit of a weak point on the story. You feel like you might have missed an episode about her. The FX are surprisingly decent. Good music and sounds. And I like the acting. Even the new actors are pretty good. I wish the ending wasn't so setup for season 2. I give it 72%. I had a good time watching it.

Schizophrenic in tone, style and format swings. Low brow, bad taste, forced, prolonged or straight up flat humour attempts. The biggest disappointment of the year so far. Would've given it a 1 or maybe a 2 for Fred Willard, Malkovich and "that monkey better keep its mouth shut" but then I saw an idiot giving it a 10 soo..

Its not the best. It's definitely not bad but, just when it gets going, it's over. It definitely Coukd have down with some extra time on the moon. Space travel (despite being the Space Forces job) appears on screen maybe 30 minutes. The show is at its best when it's focusing on doing the impossible like people actually traveling and trying to set up a place to live on the moon. If the show had another 10-15 epsiodes focusing on mankind actually living on the moon, it would be better. If this show gets a second season, hopefully they focus on the space part of space force.

I was reading comments on another site that you must be a Trump supporter if you hate this show. Well, no. I think Trump is an idiot, but I also think this show is just plain bad. Was surprised that the director made the Paddington movies, which I thought were great, but maybe directing live action just isn't his forte. The actors in this all deserved better. And the otherwise very talented creators should've taken a more hands-on approach here, because this was disappointing on so many levels.

Loved it, some people are expecting 2 much from a show called space force 10/10
