After the Foundation disaster, I was worried that this would also make a mess in translating Jordan's fantasy world to the screen. But the first two episodes I watched were pretty strong. Visually effective, and Pike obviously owns every scene she is in, and the rest of the cast is pretty good. I also liked they didn't shy away from the tough, bloody stuff that is important to the story. Fingers crossed for the next few episodes. I am glad Amazon took a leap with this.

The novels offer a great story even though they are somewhat limited in style. This show however is a disaster in both writing quality and story. The characters come across as self-indulgent; Hari Seldon is tolerable, Gaal Dornick is unwatchable. Very disappointed as an Asimov fan.

Terrible acting and the dialogues are so twee and canned they make you wince. The time switches between periods - not as innovative either these days - cannot compensate for the rest of it, which is dreck.

Couldn't get past the terrible acting, and a plot that has been maximized to show the society's hedonism (ie lots of naked people) while ignoring all the discussions and interesting dialogue Aldous Huxley had in his book. It takes real effort to muck up a tv show when you have an entire novel and story at your disposal.

The story is kind of eh, but it would be watchable if the actors were better. Not good enough to pull off the somewhat implausible storyline.

A watchable pilot, then it's all downhill from there. Looks like they conned Amazon Prime into picking up the show.

Consistently great, and Chris Rock is fantastic in the new season, as are Jessie Buckley and Emyri Crutchfield. The script has that usual touch of horror-comedy going for it; the heroes are grey and the villains incredibly villainous. Rooting for like, 20 seasons

This show is really terrible. The acting is ridiculous, campy and bad. Everyone is either exclaiming or shouting at the top of their voices, and walking rapidly from room to room. The whole thing gave me a headache.

Great casting and an interesting, horror like plot. Beautifully shot - the half submerged road connecting the mainland is a character all on its own

A terrible adaptation - bad over the top acting, bad tempered men, passively sexy women, every character is a trope.

Disastrously bad acting ruins a promising idea. The main character in particular has been portrayed in a terribly campy fashion, and every joke is stretched out to its unfunny limit.

The writing is compelling and the reinvention of the story is imaginative and fun. The acting is pretty awful however, and over the top.

Good acting but a somewhat manipulative plot, with a nasty edge aimed at some characters. Was troubling to see how some terrible character decisions were justified based on class divides. I watched it till the end, but it left a bad taste.

Great actors and a talented cast. A relief to watch an actual for real funny comedy

Well made show, bleak with great character and period detail. Not really Perry Mason save for a passing resemblance - maybe Perry Mason's depressive cousin.

Terrible show with clunky characters. As an Indian I got really disgusted at the 80s era stereotypes on religion and arranged marriages. What a trainwreck
