I think I'm very harsh here with a SIX but I found this to be missing so much. The story is not interesting and if you break down what the main missions are and you find that they are a series of fetch quests. I didn't feel like I was on a journey but there is some very good landscapes. It looks great and plays great and if I think about it its a bit tougher that the previous game. I am disappointed with the level of customization on offer. And I mentioned the story is crap. The last boss battle makes no sense at all. It feels rushed. The writers were probably given a month to think up a story and they went on a bender for 3 weeks and drunkenly put this together. And now theres going to be a third game with ridiculous antagonist. The game is good but the story is so poor. SIX 6/10

Unbelievable! This is one of the best games I've ever played. There's not much wrong about this. I always say a game should be rated as a game first and this is just a joy to play. There's a story along with this as well and it is fascinating but to be honest the gameplay outshines the story by a distance here. When it comes to the combat it takes a while to get your eye in. Its all about timing. If your off by a millisecond your getting sliced in half. But when you get your timing right it is so satisfying to succeed. I love it. And playing in this beautiful world is a joy to behold. The colours, the sound are just perfect. Lets consider this game as a send off to the PS4. It has been a great console that has provided great games such as Uncharted, Spiderman and now Ghost of Tsushima. I hope this is a series in the making cause I'm giving this a TEN. It is really that good. This is some serious polish.

Pokemon Shield2

I feel so burned by this. Ive been a fan of this series since the beginning and this is a poorly put together and offers little new. Its your basic pokemon game set in a 3D space but takes no advantage of the 3D space. You have a fixed camera for most of the game. Why? I have a list of issues with this game and the pokedex doesn't crack the top 10. If your new to the series I'm unsure if this will interest you. It feels like a low budget indie title but its made by a huge company who makes huge money from this series. This is a bizarre game. If I'm to be objective this is maybe a FOUR or a FIVE by I'm emotional so TWO. Don't bother with this.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus8
Feb 8, 2022
This is the best Pokemon game Ive ever experienced. They have defiantly have taken some inspiration from Breath of the Wild and have listened to the fans. Sword and Shield was a joke. After ten minuets of that game I hated it but this is totally different. There isn't enough hours in the day to play this. I grew up with Pokemon. I watched the series, some of the movies, played Blue, Gold, Crystal, Ruby and unfortunately Shield. Those games had something new to them in each iteration. Gold had a better progression system. There isn't a huge jump in power levels like there is in Blue. Ruby is probably the tightest Pokemon game I played for a while but when Shield came out I was expecting what Arceus is offering here but we got a rehash of what we've been getting for the last 20 years. This game looks like its in early development or its a proof of concept. Its poor and they need to get some high level talent at Nintendo to bring this to the next level. But the pokemon look good and the moves look even better. It leaves me confused how doing up some environmental textures could be so hard. The lighting is fine but its more a texture issue. The environment doesn't really match the style of the pokemon. Its odd. And you dont really have a sense where you are cause its all kinda samey. Unless your near a waterfall or a beach or something you can use as some kind of landmark. This needs improvements but we're close to getting that game we always wanted. As for gameplay wise its pretty good. I have little issue with the gameplay. Its still turn based and you share exp but its harder still. The pop in and pop out is ridiculous. You could be chasing down a pokemon and then all of a sudden POP it goes away. This needs fixing. In the early 00's its fine but not anymore. The lack of or more the point, the absence of voice over is jarring. Still stuck in the 90's with the text for speech. Pokemon is one of the biggest franchises in the world, they have enough for a voice over budget. Im giving this an EIGHT cause I'm so happy playing this. It has plenty of issues that it really should be a SIX but the nostalgia is strong with this one.

Many are giving this a hard time but I don’t get it. It’s pretty good. I got what I paid for. Saw the trailer and said I like what I saw and got what I saw. I don’t feel cheated or coned. The campaign needs work but the actual gameplay is good. The rushing elements to the game, where you run around racing after your ball I could leave it. There’s about ten or so courses now but when it first came out you only had three but you could unlock three or four more. Maybe that’s where peoples issues were with it. Nintendo have updated the crap out of this and is worth giving it a shot now. The gameplay is more or less the same but there’s more characters, courses and game modes.

This is disappointing. There is some parts of this game that are great but it doesn't feel right. Its better than Odyssey, no doubt but it's going further away from the assassins theme. I don't know how you can call yourself an assassin when your a war lord of sorts. Doing raids, going into full on army battles. There is nothing stealthy about it. Now you might be thinking that's not totally out of character for an AC game but not at this level. Play the first six or so games and they feel like AC games but this is so far from it. I don't know what this game is but it isn't an AC game. Finish the series and call this the Battle Through Time series or something cause slapping on the AC badge on this isn't fooling me. But if I'm to judge this on its own it looks fantastic and the story isn't half bad. The combat isn't great and the leveling up systems are terrible. Certain areas require you to be at a power of 90 when you could only be at a power of maybe 25 if you were only doing story missions. The game requires you to go around doing random repetitive tasks to move through the game. That's crap. This game requires you to loose your mind doing repetitive crap or for you to be crazy enough to pay for an XP boost on top of your 80 euro game. Seriously! I think the AC franchise is done. I'm done with it. I'm giving this a four. Some will love it but I'm bothered by it. Damn micro transactions.

I love this game. I’ve played this a few times and I never get bored of it. This is a fun game to play. Unfortunately it’s a short game but the combat is so good I just couldn’t help myself but to jump back in from time to time. As I said before it’s a short game and it’s one of my few issues with this game, but my other issue is that we have this side villain called Rhino. I feel like he’s put in here as filler but they disguise it well as part of the plot. Honestly if you take him out the story doesn’t change. But this is FUN. The venom powers are such a great addition. This could have so easily have been a retread of the previous game but this has its own personality. Dare I say this is a better game combat wise. Story wise Spiderman from a few years back is stronger but this I could play all day long. I love it. I really want to give this a ten but the length does bother me. A nine is fair.

I don't think I'm going to make any friends here by saying this is a poor game. Theres parts of me that loves this game but the combat is terrible. Hated every fight and every boss battle. I dreaded a boss battle. When ever there was a boss battle I had to mentally prepare myself for the ordeal. Never was there a time I found any combat enjoyable. If you enjoy this type of combat I really don't understand how. The world and the environment is fantastic. The characters are brilliant. These elements were the only things that kept me playing. Without these elements at the level of polish they are at I think this game gets a three or a two. But they are carrying this game to a four. This is a game and has to be rated as a game first and a story second and as a game its poor. I couldn't bare to go near this again

I love this. The game is fantastic. Im not mad for shooters on console but this just hits the sweet spot. It has this sense of mystery all the way through. You never quite know what exactly is going on or why there's things going on. You need to explore your surroundings and watch videos you'll find and read the documents lying around to have an idea of whats happening. The game doesn't tell you much in how to do things. The map is useless and I just accidentally found out how to upgrade weapons. Its a breath of fresh air but theres a problem. This game's story is like the build up to Christmas but when the day finally comes it doesn't meet the expectations. Your 9 years of age and your expecting a PS2 but you get the N64. Not a bad system but its no PS2. You have to remember that this is a game first and a story second. There is a sense of atmosphere though and thats just as important and it is spooky. Sometimes terrifying. I felt so confused most of the time. Whats with the hotel? Why am I the director? Whats the hiss? Why am I here? Was I always the director? Is the gun the director? Am I asking the right questions? The problem is that you have all these questions and you expect to get some answers but your just left hanging. The character you play as is just satisfied with the outcome. She now knows the answers to the why, what, how questions but Im left with 'Huh? What'. I dont know how to describe it. I felt like this is the sequel to another game. They just expected you to know some of the lore already but what lore. This is a new IP. But it does leave me wanting more and I can't wait to play the next one.
