This movie is so incredibly bad it makes Hallmark movies look like Oscar contenders. The writing and acting equal a cringefest the likes of which you may never otherwise see. Anyone involved in this movie should be embarrassed.

This should have been very good, but poor production and over-acting ruined it. In one early scene the wind is blowing hard in one direction but not at all when the camera changes direction about 20 feet away. In another the policewoman brings in 16 cups of tea for about five people - just stupid. More like that and terrible acting other than Helen Mirren, plus such little attention to obvious details make it unwatchable

The acting, writing and plot development isn't even as good as a Hallmark movie. What an embarrassment. Vince Vaughn being Mr. Positive all the time is cringeworthy and eventually unwatchable. There's not one laugh in the entire movie - just pathetic.

The visuals were great but not a lot else. It felt like everything was rushed, as though they were trying to cram as much as possible into a limited time span. Some of the scenes didn't even make sense, and of course we're subjected once again to the white-man-bad theme. Instead of it being about the horror it was for everyone we're subjected to a lecture on how poorly white people mistreated the one black kid in London in 1940.

Worst. Movie. Ever. We're aware that Christmas movies can be hokey, but they don't have to be this stupid. And they don't have to have terrible acting (apart from Jason Biggs and the stuffed monkey)

The plot has more holes than a kitchen strainer, the acting is amateurish, the story often makes no sense, and the casting is laughable, but still it's oddly entertaining.

Incredibly bad acting by Ellie Kemper and horribly embarrassing writing. Possibly the worst movie of the year.

I don't know what it means to be a "Wes Anderson fan" but I don't want to be one. This movie is unwatchable. I tried to watch it but couldn't for very long. Maybe you'll like it if you are a "Wes Anderson fan."

In today's movie world it's difficult to find a movie with believable people and believable relationships. After all the diversity boxes are filled it can still be a good movie but it doesn't feel real. This movie feels real and I'll tell you why: I cared about them and wonder how they're doing today.

Two of the worst recent movies I've seen were directed by Katie Holmes. Rather, only partly seen because they were unwatchable. I don't think she knows what she's doing. She's a much better actor. A poster of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the wall? Really?

I don't know if there's ever been this much of a disconnect between the media reviewers and the rest of us. I absolutely loved it. I thought it was masterfully done in every way. I felt like I could feel every emotion Kiya felt. A masterpiece.

Every once in a long while you come across a movie with zero expectations and enjoy the heck out of it.

It drags a bit after a while, you have to suspend every belief system you ever had, and I can't stand Mark Ruffalo (is he a politician or an actor?) but ultimately this movie was fun to watch, and isn't that what it's all about?

Terrible writing, terrible acting, terrible story. It's so bad it's almost good, but not quite. There is not enough you can say about the badness of this Christmas turkey. When people debate the best Christmas movies this movie has no competition for the worst.

This is the most boring movie I've ever tried to watch. The fact that it's up for so many Academy Awards is a depressing indictment of the film industry.

The best part of the movie is when they're kids right at the start. It goes downhill after that. The acting is unbelievable bad. Even Octavia Spencer doesn't believe in this movie, and she's in it. Melissa McCarthy is just being herself...again, but if you thought Spencer was a good actor you won't after you watch this mess.

A candidate for the worst movie of the **** decade. Sometimes you have to suspend your belief system to enjoy a movie, but you'd have to suspend all five senses just to sit through this ridiculously stupid drivel.

This movie could win an award, an award for the most boring first 21 minutes in movie history. Sure, it has Meryl Streep, working up one of her accents, but that's no excuse. Maybe it gets better after 21 minutes, but I can't trust it to get any better.

The movie was so good, as soon as it was over I watched it again. And I almost watched it a third time.

Harriet Tubman deserved a lot better than this cringe-worthy, poorly acted, poorly directed mess. The lead didn't do anything to make herself believable, and her singing parts sounded so weird it helped deem the movie unwatchable. People desperately want this movie to be meaningful because of the subject matter, but it's embarrassingly close to a Hallmark production.

If this movie is nominated for anything, it should be for the most boring movie of the year.

Alice is the most annoying unlikable female lead I've ever seen. She has a future in that type of role because she's so good at it without even trying. It's poor casting, the result of checking off the diversity boxes. If you like watching your drunken friend slobber all over everybody then you'll like her and the movie.

Once I had rolled my eyes 10 times I shut it down. It makes Hallmark movies look like Academy Award nominees. Terrible acting, terrible plotlines, just terrible in every conceivable way.
