Ugh, the review was removed after the score was changed. In short, a lot less compelling, entertaining, and often confusing than season 1. That said, by Episode 8, the audience and, seemingly, most of the cast are still confused about what is happening, what the objectives are, and what the villains are trying to achieve. No idea what the protagonists are trying to achieve either, so it largely just feels to drag on and on. Don't feel it was a worthwhile commitment to view the season.

Le problème de cette série, c’est son sujet même… car en effet, pour raconter un acte terroriste et en l’occurrence un détournement d’avion (de nos jours), il faut se montrer particulièrement imaginatif… mais sans pour autant verser dans la science-fiction, le fantastique ou l’occultisme ! et que sais-je encore… En effet, la sécurité est telle que les seules failles possibles concernent le personnel navigant, notamment le pilote ou le copilote… et encore faut-il qu’ils deviennent fous tour à tour et/ou psychopathes, suicidaires, déments… et j’en passe. Ou alors, il faut faire intervenir les extra-terrestres et plus précisément les proctologues de l’espace avec des soucoupes à gyrophares du troisième type qui viennent régler la circulation… Je dis tout ça et ça peut paraître con parce que là, dans cette série (de merde), on a droit à un festival de non-sens et une suite d’inepties plus invraisemblables les unes que les autres… ils nous prennent vraiment pour des débiles (de l’espace) là-dedans, c’est pas possible autrement. Nonobstant ces tristes conditions de vol, la réalisation est soignée et les comédiens font ce qu’ils peuvent… mais là aussi, Idris Elba en négociateur cocu improvisé, on a du mal à y croire… et puis dans tout ce bordel qui se prend très au sérieux mais d’un grotesque évidemment involontaire, où est donc passé Bruce Willis ? son sourire en coin nous manque…

A better than average drama with some decent acting, though much of the plot has BIG holes in it! It should have been 3-4 episodes max, although there was some decent tension and cliffhangers at times. Worth a watch, although I wouldn't bother again.

It was good enough. I enjoyed it, there were some good performances, some average ones, and some bad ones. A few bits of the story misfired, but on the whole I liked it.

Really enjoyable and Idris Elba never fails to deliver. The story could have been tighter but let's see what they cook up for season two.

Writers seem hostile towards the intellect of the viewer. Decent actors, good production, and just a horrible string of deus ex machina.

Quite simply one of the best mini-series I've ever seen. You're on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

I really enjoyed this. Small playground, but big story. Lots of twists and turns, but no bs. I will say that the reasons behind the hijacking were a little thin, but still believable. And I didn't really care about the sub-plot of Idris Alba and his ex and son. Still, it was something I looked forward to watching every week.

Good but not great. The last episode had me on the edge of my seat, the best episode of the series by large.

A flight from Dubai to London is the subject of this thriller. After the hijackers take over, it's up to a business negotiator (Idris Elba) to try to avert disaster, while the folks on the ground prepare for the worst. The show stars slowly, but once the plane takes off, so does the tension. Before long there are genuinely gripping encounters that had me screaming at the screen. Elba plays cool with no problem, but it's the series directors who keep the stress coming. The drama is also intensified because of the confined space and the involving characters. Even though some of the plot holes were obvious, this series remains a riveting ride.

This is one of the most riveting thrillers I've seen...period! It's brilliantly acted. Very realistic in tone and setting. The acting is absolutely top notch. Idris Elba is so watchable. Smart, empathetic and in control - despite nerve-wracking conditions. I'm a movie and book buff so I don't offer this review lightly. "Hijack" is one of the very best tension-packed thrillers you'll find now or in recent memory. (I've just completed the final episode so this is a full series perspective.) **** this one on your binge ****, be prepared to stay up all night - even once you're done watching all episodes.

Well written and exciting series with a WTF moment. Idris Elba's character is very interesting, the series also has potential for further seasons with a different setting.

This is a decent show; better than most shows these days. The writing is adequate, although there are several glaring plot holes, and the acting ranges from adequate to excellent. But the story is unfolding too slowly. I think this would have been better as a movie. There’s not enough material for mini-series. Many scenes are drawn out and there are quite a few extraneous scenes. The pacing definitely feels like butter **** over too much bread. Additionally, I think if this show had been made during a better era in entertainment I wouldn’t rate it as highly. Hijack is acceptable, but not excellent.

Entertaining, but... As you watch the show, remember this phrase:"white man bad."

Terrorist mystery thriller with good writing and acting. After two episodes review.

So far, they have only released two episodes and what I've seen I really like! Totally hooked and if you love planes, Idris Elba and tension and drama like I do, I would highly recommend it! So good! I hope it continues to develop the story and characters...Looking forward to watching the next episode on Tuesday!
