Even its weakest pieces are still entertaining, and the good stuff is exceptionally so.

I suppose it doesn’t cohere into anything more than the sum of its parts. But this is the first time I’ve felt the anthology horror format really worked, and gosh, the parts are really good.

V/H/S/94 is a mightily impressive horror anthology where each segment brings its own fresh, most times also deeply disturbing, grime-covered story. The final two tapes bring the horror and twists with fanatic glee, and the whole movie is balls-to-the-wall insane. I would almost go as far to say it's the best entry in the franchise. The entire team here is on their game and they prove their worth in droves. This film is a serious good time for horror fans, maybe not one I can recommend to everybody, but for those who love their found footage this one is not to be missed.

Put simply, V/H/S/94 is almost less an anthology than it is a vehicle for a single, deliriously creative segment from director Timo Tjahjanto, which dominates the entire center of the film. All the other segments simply orbit this central anchor, caught in the inexorable pull of Tjahjanto’s demented imagination, which manages to give V/H/S/94 at least 30 minutes in which one cannot look away.

File 94 somewhere between the inspired, crowd-pleasing bloodshed of the second film and the series-low ineptitude of the third, V/H/S Viral.

The resulting V/H/S/94 falls victim to the traditional unevenness that is common to anthology horror but with more hits than misses, and a general air of unhinged joy for the genre that these films often lack.

After nine years and four movies, it might be time to hit the “eject” button on the “V/H/S” series once and for all.

V/H/S/94 is a solid entry that provides the telltale thrills of gritty found-footage horror mired in '90s nostalgia, though it is flawed and uneven.

Yep, it's a return to form. And yes, it's way better than Viral. Scary, gross, creative, and overall enjoyable. I hope this fully brings this series back from the dead and we see more of these movies.

I was massively disappointed with this, I'm a huge fan of the VHS series and shudder i orginal is normally a sign of quality but this falls flat. I was bored watching most of it and the end scene just made me cringe. If you want a horror anthology fix watch the creepshow series on shudder it's much better.

Pretty much on par with other releases with how much of a mixed bag it is. Storm Drain was the only entry I liked. Empty Wake was painfully uneventful. Subject and Terror went on for way too long. The over-arching story that ties them together is forgettable.

Worst VHS yet. Badly acted, badly written, uninteresting, garbage. How this movie is rated as high as it is i don't know.
