It’s not just a wallow in nostalgia: It also stands on its own merits as a satisfying entertainment that could easily find a receptive audience among folks who’ve never seen, or even heard of, such golden oldies as “Seven Ways from Sundown” or “Gunfight at Comanche Creek.”

Don’t listen to the other reviews on this, this movie is an underrated masterpiece that you need to watch. Beautiful cinematography and music.

I'm not sure why this movie is rated so lowly. It's true that it doesn't do anything new in the western genre, but it's still a thoroughly enjoyable film in a genre that doesn't get much new film releases any more. The acting is good from Brosnan and Jackson, despite them being quite old and not as well known as they were in the 90's. It's about a 90 minutes run time, so it's fast paced and doesn't outstay its welcome either.

The Unholy Trinity is a reminder that they don’t make ’em like they used to — and maybe that’s a good thing. A pokey, low-budget Western enlivened by a couple of aging stars happily hamming it up, it’s the kind of B movie they used to program before the feature and after the cartoon in the old days.

They’re all trying to make a meal out of starvation rations. The cast’s efforts aren’t in vain, and the film is better for having them, but a thing can get a whole lot of 'better' before it gets 'good.

A bit of a slog, even for the short runtime. The scenery is gorgeous, and Jackson puts in a good performance, but that's where it ends for this movie.
