A film that i thought would be about the genius behind Facebook, well, if accuracy isn't part of the conversation, that's clearly not what we learn about Zuckerberg here, instead, we see someone who's a genius at playing tactics and doing whatever is best for the business, even if it means hurting the people closest to him. Personally, there were moments when i had enough of Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Zuckerberg, his fast-talking, electric mannerisms became exhausting at times, even within the first five minutes, i already felt drained, not necessarily in a bad way, though, i don't know if the real Zuckerberg was actually like that, but based on this portrayal alone, his personality could be overwhelming. Storywise, and i think the movie shows those themes really well, as expected, David Fincher's storytelling is great, and the performances are strong, especially Andrew Garfield who was the standout for me, even more than Jesse Eisenberg. Overall, The Social Network is not only a good movie, but also a great case study for anyone interested in business, entrepreneurship, ambition, and the consequences of the choices people make on the road to success.

The Social Network does an excellent job of adapting a real story into a compelling film. It’s one of the best biographical dramas ever made. While it isn’t a documentary and takes some creative liberties, David Fincher turns real events into a gripping and well-crafted cinematic experience without losing the essence of the story.

David Fincher makes what would have been a possibly boring film about facebook's early life into a complete examination of Mark Zuckerburg and the world we are in and heading towards. It is tight and powerful with incredible preformances from Jesse Einsenburg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlate, and pretty much the rest of the cast..

An ok film with an ok storyline. I'm biased as I'm not a FB fan. Worth a watch, but I definitely wouldn't bother again!

Impressive film, for sure. Great casting and clear storytelling. The lack of color, while maybe a metaphor for the dark nature of this story, is very noticeable. This one gets multiple watches.

David Fincher's rendition of the men behind the social media juggernaut is an ensnaring riff on adolescent genius, intellectual property, misplaced loyalty and the blurred line between plagiarism and inspiration. Jesse Eisenberg is magnetic as the quick-lipped, scorned, socially acidic orchestrator, Mark Zuckerberg. Armed with both a fiery stockade of dialogue and a vibrant crew of supporting actors to fire at, he never lacks the words, nor the perfect target, for any occasion. Eisenberg is especially effective in the dry, serious legal hearings he's subjected to throughout the plot, where he's most at liberty to cut to the quick with a pointed jape or toy with the formulaic arguments of a confused prosecutor. Sufficiently technical without flooding the screen with tech terms, it's as sharp and engaging as Good Will Hunting, if not as touchy-feely and morally redeeming. When it was all said and done, I was left with the same impression of Zuckerberg as I had with Steve Jobs after finishing Walter Isaacson's biography: this guy's a scumbag, but he found his sweet spot in this world and made the most of it, both for himself and for society at large.

The Social Network is a dialogue-based movie with a perfectly written script. The writing is flawless, I was interested in all the characters and I liked them including the morally questionable ones. It's amazing to see that all of the characters are completely understandable, all of their actions are backed with reason even though they are morally wrong from an objective point of view. The acting was also flawless, which brought the words from the screenplay to life. The cinematography, editing and direction were amazing, I felt completely locked in. During every work meeting, every party I felt like I was there. The music was also amazing. Dialogue-based movies often make the mistake not to give audiences outstanding visuals, but this movie has that in the form of the amazing editing, direction and cinematography. The Social Network is a perfect film.

Sorry Lord Zucks your movie ****! As boring as can be, the acting was horrendous the story was a snooze fest and I had absolutely no desire to watch it once let alone a second or third time. This clown Mark Zuckerberg changed the world for the worst and this movie seeks to venerate him. On top of that we have to deal with the complete lack of engagement and quality in the movie. Facebook is an evil company which has increased the suicide rates of females drastically since coming out. They hack the minds of people using algorithms and they work with China to weaken and manipulate the minds of the American population. There is nothing heroic or cinematic about Facebook it is a cultural tool to disarm the population of their critical thinking skills. If one seeks to venerate Zuckerberg at least do a better job than this this movie was trash and as a film critic I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Very jarring and dramatic, and extremely fast in terms of pacing. Overall a very interesting story to witness about the creation of Facebook.

Por parte de los actores de Andrew y Jesse, se ve que es otra película con esa personalidad de "soy buena onda" y "soy más inteligente que tú". ¿Qué hace Justin Timberlake aquí xd?

All I can say about the movie is simply awesome.I wanted to watch this movie for a long time. I saw some parts of the movie on the internet before watching **** took my attention a lot. When I looked at the cast and the storyline,I said that I would definitely watch it. To be honest,I didn't expect this much. I thought I would get bored when I saw the movie was two hour. But I didn't realize how two hours passed while I was watching. The script was very well **** performances of the actors are amazing. Andrew Garfield might be the most handsome actor I have ever seen. Before I watching the movie I thought Eduardo Saverin was bad. After I watched the movie and did some research, I actually found out that Mark Zuckerberg has let his partner down by reduction his shares. Normally, I'm not interested kind of a movie like that but this movie got full marks from me. There are some parts that I don't like but apart from these it was a successful movie.

I feel like the ending was not enough. I had so many questions about the trial which were not answered so I’m disappointed by that but despite that it was enjoyable to watch. I would recommend it to my friends.

Wow just wow, even if the movie isn't accurate about what happened, and even if it is it cant change my opinion on how amazing the movie alone is. The screenplay acting storyline it was just perfect, a chef kiss if you will

As far as an Entertaining Movie goes ... its a 5. As far as an informative documentary about the emergence of the Social Media on the Internet goes ... its a 9. As far as something I would NEVER watch more than ONCE, because **** is a giant piece of trash, filled with fieces of a species of **** a 0.

"The Social Network" shows the beginning and boom of Social Media, through Facebook. Moreover, it's a real-life story on greed, ambition, fame and most importantly friendship.

I heard a lot of promising things about The Social Network. And you know what, I agree with the positivity this film has received, for it is my idea of a modern classic. With an intriguing concept, it is for me one of the defining films I have seen recently, one of the best movies of 2010 and relevant in its themes of greed, betrayal, class tension, friendship and loyalty and concept. Production-values-wise, The Social Network looks wonderful. The cinematography is incredibly skillful, and the editing is crisp. In fact, I'd sure The Social Network is director David Fincher's most stylish film since Se7en. I have heard a lot of mixed feelings on the score, while it is not my favourite of the year not like Toy Story 3, King's Speech and Inception, The Social Network's brooding, smooth and quite sexy score is very memorable and fits well with the film's occasionally quirky tone. The Social Network is very well directed too. Fincher directs with an intensity and focus that makes The Social Network tied with Se7en as the best of his movies in my opinion. Another strong point is the screenplay which is very smart and sharp, while the story making the most of this intriguing concept is constantly snappy and engaging. Also, all the characters are very well written and assembled, for me they are among the best-written characters in a Fincher movie. It also helps that the acting is as impeccable as it is. Jesse Eisenberg is very commanding as the titular character in a subtle sort of way, while Andrew Garfield also impresses as the "voice of reason" character. I was surprised in a good way by Justin Timberlake, while the weakest of the three leads, he does have a **** swagger here that he actually pulls off really well. In conclusion, a wonderful film and one of the best of the year. 10/10 Bethany Cox

The Social Network is a masterpiece, it's the Citizen Kane of 2st century. The film has dialogues so intelligent and deep, actors are perfect in their roles. Perfect Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography and Edition.

To me, this movie is an unseen piece of art, an exceptional story **** person. Actors have been carefully chosen and I believe that no other actors would have done so great a job. A must watch especially for movie lovers :))

"The Social Network" was so good I don't even know where to begin. I can't, for the life of me, think of another film in recent years that's left me so wholeheartedly satisfied. ****

Was unsure of how a movie about Zuckerberg and Facebook would turn out, but this sharp, well written and directed movie does a great job.

This fun and vibrant film is all about its dialogues, so we gotta thank Aaron Sorkin for that one.

A game changing masterpiece, The Social Network is perfect and feels like a miracle. Its filmmaking at its pure best.

Without a doubt one of the greatest films of the 21st century. Sorkin and Fincher are at their absolute best, and the acting is impeccable. There is not a single moment that drags, nor a scene that leaves you unsatisfied. If you have not seen this film yet, put down whatever you are doing, and go watch it, you will not be disappointed.

David Fincher made a great movie with SE7EN. A great thriller/crime movie. My sideburns in the mystery/suspense genre are DRESSED TO KILL/BLOW OUT/BODY DOUBLE by Brian De Palma, ANGEL HEART by Alan Parker, THE USUAL SUSPECTS by Bryan Singer, CAPE FEAR by Martin Scorsese, some Hitchcock films, etc. And SE7EN comes right after. And I like other genres than the mystery/suspense genre. But THE SOCIAL NETWORK is not for me at all. This film feels longer than it is. It has too many lenghts. It's too chatty and overdialogued. And the plot is not cinematic at all in my opinion. It's just very boring!

The social network tells the story of the now most famous Mark Zuckerberg. The film is really brilliantly shot and showed perhaps everything it should have to know how Facebook came into being. I probably won't say anything more about that. This is just an absolute gem, and if you use social networks at least a little, you should give this film a chance.

David Fincher's "The Social Network" is a film that plunges you right into your own self-consciousness without you even realizing it. The film is a technical masterpiece on every level and is so rewatchable that it delightfully seizes your attention from the moment the first scene comes into focus. The "Social Network" is a movie that thrives on the beauty of each scene and how they are masterfully edited together to provide a piece of art that fits together like it's the world's most satisfying puzzle. The movie begins with a simple scene between Mark Zuckeberg, played masterfully by Jesse Eisenberg, and his fictional girlfriend Erica Albright, played by Rooney Mara. The beauty of this scene is how naturally it sets the tone for the movie, the motives of the main character, and how the music score is attention demanding as it is in every scene in this movie. This scene shows us that Mark is a man that desires social respect from people over anything else. The opening bar scene between him and Erica displays how he thinks intellectual achievements should lead him to all what he thinks will bring him a most fulfilling life: fame and success. The "Social Network" shows how this ideology can lead to us losing our closest friends in the vast and complicated web that the social experience can be. The movie gets its heart from the character Eduardo Savron played by Andrew Garfield. Garfield's emotional portrayal of this character is so gripping and relatable that it now seems like a crime that his performance was not met with an Academy Award for best Supporting Actor. The back and forth dialogue between Eduardo and Mark are some of the best parts of the movie. These scenes not only show the brilliance of the screenplay written by Aaron Sorkin, but also the Oscar level performances given by Eisenberg and Garfield. The performances in this movie don't stop there, though, since both Hammer and Timberlake give very solid performances as the Winklevoss twins and Sean Parker respectively. The Winklevoss twins symbolize the privilege and status the Mark wishes he had while Sean Parker symbolizes the attitude that Mark believes he needs to have to get there. These characters are pivotal to developing Mark's journey for why and how he soon becomes the youngest billionaire in the world. What makes the "Social Network" truly special is how it takes such a simple story and turns it into must watch cinema. The score is consistently blood pumping and masterful throughout the entire movie. This fast paced score, combined with the rapid editing and dialogue take a simple story and make it a heart pumping story of the societal pressures of being "cool". "The Social Network" is David Fincher's first masterpiece and it relies on his direction. The direction he takes with this story combined with the master class technical aspects make this movie one of the best pieces of cinema the 21st century has seen.

Pretty good movie explaining the creation and rise of Zuckerberg and Facebook. Definitely highlights the privileged mindset of affluent white America and their greed.

There are films I don't like but understand why other people like them but this movie I don't get it. It's so boring with such awful unlikely characters. You couldn't pay to watch this rubbish again.

David Fincher at his best, amazing direction, amazing cast and a wonderful soundtrack. The Social Network is showing us not just the create of facebook, but the gap between the society, and the harsh, unreliable life of business. Of course don't forget the amazing IT life, and the hope that everyone can be very rich within it.

A brilliantly crafted film with dialogue beautifully crafted by Sorkin. Yet, I just cannot quite put it up there with the true greats - and I'm not sure why.

Well, this review is going to be hard to do, at least for me. Of course, like anyone who was young in the past decade, I also succumbed to Facebook's hypnosis and I still have an account on this social network, but I confess that I haven't been there in months and I haven't spent much time there. This spell that Facebook, and all other social networks, could have on me has long since lost its effect. Today, and I will be very honest in what I am going to say, I see no reason to spend hours stuck to a social network, putting likes on posts, commenting or talking to other people. Now, let's talk about the film itself. The film is not bad, but it is far from being something I want to see again. The plot addresses the process of creating and developing Facebook and the legal struggles that Mark Zuckerberg faced after that. Directed by David Fincher, it is quite weak in its task because, as it happens a lot with films based on real facts, it creates a new fictional story over real people. I know this is cinema, creative freedom is part of cinematographic art but, as I said in a lot of other reviews, there are logical limits to that freedom when dealing with real people and, worse, people who is still quite... alive. The cast has a lot of easily recognizable names and most have made a very positive effort. However, not everything went well. The way the characters were thought was what most irritated me. If some are stupid teenagers, others are opportunists, and there are still a lot of smart **** There is virtually no character we can like and that blocked my interest in what I was seeing. Thus, we have Jesse Eisenberg in the shoes of Zuckerberg, but in such a negative way and with so bad material that the character is inedible. He is a complete jerk, unable to capture the audience's sympathy. Dakota Johnson, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara and Joseph Mazzello try to help, however they have little to do, once the film is delivered to Eisenberg. On the positive side, we have the good performances of Andrew Garfield, who gave life to Facebook's first CFO, as well as Justin Timberlake, who was very good in his role too. Armie Hammer surprises by giving life to twin brothers in an impressive and realistic way. Winner of three Oscars (Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Original Song), it is technically a capable and decent film but not impressive. It has regular cinematography, sets and costumes and, despite the prizes, the soundtrack did not impress or attract my attention. Honestly, I don't even understand the visibility given to this film. I don't think it justifies it, and maybe it was very stimulated by advertising and the media (convenient for the social network portrayed, isn't it?).

The Social Network is an enthralling piece of film-making that perfectly captures the twisted genius of David Fincher. Only Fincher could construct a film about a Harvard student (played brilliantly by Jesse Eisenberg) screwing over his friends and colleagues to eventually sit atop of the biggest social media empire in the world.

When I watch it, I enjoy it and notice new subtleties each time, but when I let it stew in my mind, I never want to revisit it and it always leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Part of this is likely due to design, but I can’t help to retract myself from the highest laudations that the film receives. I think Jesse Eisenberg does a great job and truly embodies the role. His performance is what I think of when I think of Mark Zuckerberg. However, his character deters me from the experience. Zuckerberg is such a narcissistic self-absorbed jerk that I can never look to The Social Network with the mindset of, “I’d love to experience that again.” Zuckerberg is so manipulative and cocky and remarkably intelligent, that you can’t help but secretly root for his failure. The thing is, Zuckerberg doesn’t fail, he comes out on top. The good Samaritan doesn’t always succeed. Garfield, Hammer, and even Timberlake all give good performances and in a way are foils for Zuckerberg’s character. The club scenes in this and Fincher’s other works are well-shot and authentic and the sound design is well scaled. I can’t add anything new to this movie’s praises. I admit it’s a great movie and is especially well written, but it is also remarkably off-putting to me.
