A decent movie. It has a decent story, action, nice buddy chemistry & good acting from the leads. Ben & Jon's buddy chemistry really works well I think. You can give it a go.

This one was actually dreadfully boring, even more so than the already boring first installment!

The Accountant was an okay movie that introduced some interesting ideas, but as others have noted it's sequel seems to flatten it all out into a buddy action movie while retaining a very simple nod and plot point to neuro diversity. It's not awful and has some good moments that make it worth watching on a subscription you already have. I would like to add that the line dancing bit was excruciating - I don't have anything like the characteristics of the lead character, but even with minor traits, masking etc any kind of pattern complexity in a dance would not be remotely engaging enough to get me on a dance floor with other people - I'm not saying it isn't possible but it does feel like a ridiculous way to try to "humanise" Rainman as "dancing Rainman" when both concepts are fiction.

A very average film with Ben Affleck as his usual miserable, expressionless self! Formulaic direction and a totally unbelievable storyline. Not terrible like its predecessor, but not good. I doubt Id' watch it again!

I really enjoyed the first movie. This was dull, difficult to follow and a complete disappointment.

Bad screenwriting. Not sure Bill Dubuque set out to ruin the "franchise" he created, but he did. Solid 'C' effort writing. Bernthal is a terrible actor for this part and literally tanked the movie all by himself. Afflecks character even got annoying towards the end. Abandoned it at about 1:30 mark at which point the story was so unfollowable and dumb, I abandoned it all-together. It was way too long. The editor should have removed dozens of unnecessary parts to keep the flow interesting.

It's okay as an action movie, but the filler in the middle is drawn out, contrived, and bland.

Account 2 was good movie. The weird brotherly complex is both funny, good and overwhelming all at the same time. I enjoyed them showing how everyone is different but still the same and seeking the same things. I really enjoy Ben Affleck in this role. There could’ve been a better plot.I would recommend this for a watch.

Only an ok sequel. The first one was much better. A few good moments but ultimately quite average.

This great movie Both Brother dynamic is explored more here I missed Anna Kendrick from the first movie, but the plot did not really made me like they should have added her until the end Atleast they could have given a subtle hint at Dana Cummings buts its ok. I think there could have been more tight spaced one on one fights atleast 1 with Christian and another with Brax, we never get to see Brax in action, and Tran Tactical guns are really sexy AF

There is nothing more dangerous than a privileged mind. Despite the years of distance from the first instalment, the dynamics are intact and the emotions are at the service of the viewer, for their own good.

It's solid in many areas but sometimes overstays its welcome, with a few scenes that should have been cut down. Overall, it's a mixed bag, but it was a decent watch.

As is often the case, the sequel doesn't quite live up to the first. This is probably because the story in the first part was new and offered surprises. In the second part, the story is rather predictable, and the character of Edith Sanchez is rather unbelievable. The comedic undertone that constantly accompanies us throughout the film ultimately makes it a decent film. But nothing more. The latter part of the film then unfortunately descends into an exaggerated private war battle in the style of a shooting game.

The accountant 2 was a bit better then the first one. The story is interesting and quite current, I really loved that banter and dynamic between the two brothers. It bring something deeper into the movie. There is some actions, and it's very well done. But this is not a film that is full of it. In that sens the film is well paced, but don't expect a Wick movie. I give it 75%. Good movie, with humour and darker tones at times.

Entertaining, but somewhat flawed sequel to the 'cult hit' is at its best when it's focusing on both Affleck and Bernthal, who clearly has a great chemistry between them. There is a change of action sub genre though, to a 'buddy comedy' style and it should have adjusted its tone and structure to accomodate that. Other than that, still a pretty good watch.

Boring, convoluted DEI tripe. This is in no way comparable to the first movie. No wonder it went straight to streaming.

I enjoyed watching it, but it doesn’t reach the level of the first one. The Accountant 2 loses much of what made the original stand out: its pace, its tension, and especially its action. Everything here feels slower, more tangled, and although there are still good moments, it lacks that sharp, focused drive of the first **** story tries to expand the character’s world and dig deeper into his relationships, and in some ways it works. There’s chemistry, some clever callbacks, and you can tell they aimed for something more complex. But at times, it feels overdone: too many subplots, too much explaining, and not enough energy where it matters most.Still, it works as a sequel. Far from a failure. It has fun moments, the characters click, and a few scenes are well crafted. Ben Affleck holds the character nicely, though with less physical presence this time. And his dynamic with Bernthal brings a bit of “buddy movie” energy that actually **** main issue is the lack of action. There are a few sequences, but nothing as memorable as the first. That blend of sharp violence and quiet emotion is mostly gone here, and it **** in all, it’s an easy watch and an enjoyable follow-up, but far less impactful. It holds your attention, but you probably won’t rush to see it again.

Of course I loved the first one, which introduced the protagonist's story with a crescendo of suspense touching on the complicated relationship with his father and brother, and then analyzed the figures of the agents Marybeth Medina and Raymond King and their role in the vicissitudes of the "accountant" Christian Wolff (an inspired and in part Ben Affleck) but in this second "episode", as I feared, everything flattens out in a needlessly convoluted, boring and not very credible story.

I was a fan of the first one and as sequels go, this hit all the right notes to complement the first one and expand on its little universe. Affleck and Berenthal had great chemistry, the action was, while a bit over the top (thats kinda what you get with action movies), still fun and not overbearing. Great plot, imo, and i hope there's a third. Affleck line dancing was worth the price of admission, as was the brotherly bonding.

It sidesteps or has metabolized Marvel and DC Comics superheroism (2003's "Daredevil", 2016's "Batman", Professor Xavier's differently abled academy), fraternal buddy movie, saccharine moralism of BradJen's PlanB, Eastwood's gerontocracy, a "Rain Man" with action and identity crises, and maintains pre-3rd-millennium irony ("Pop was a fùcking grown man wearing a Timex, dude. He was fùcking pathetic. Look at that. See that? It's worth more than he made in a year. What do you think he'd say about this?" "He would say it's the same time on his watch"). Fiercely anti-nihilistic ("Don't wear your black suit. It makes you look like a mortician") and anti-Tarantino (how many brutal off-screen deaths?), an emotionally detached protagonist who unlocks his and our affective potential.

I'm a big fan of The Accountant, but this sequel is nothing like it. This is a buddy-comedy road movie (think Rain Man with guns). I wasn't expecting that, especially from the same writer/director team (Bill Dubuque and Gavin O'Connor). The Accountant 2 is so tonally different from the first one that it may not appeal to the same audience. And that wasn't by accident, which is even more perplexing. O'Connor envisioned the third installment as a "buddy film" -- even calling it "Rain Man on steroids" -- so this creative turn was clearly intentional. It's a direction that isn't the right fit for me or for Affleck. The movie isn't bad, but it just isn't what I was expecting so I'm opting out of this burgeoning franchise unless the filmmakers return to what we loved about the first one.

Shifting its focus more squarely onto Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal, The Accountant 2 changes the tone and style of the original — trading in its distinct suspense angle for more commercially popular elements. While the sequel ups the entertainment factor, it loses a bit of the original’s unique flavor in the process.

Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal transform The Accountant 2 into so much more than another action movie. Past the realistic action, attention to firearms detail, and thrill of combat, there is an underlying message—one of empathy and compassion. The audience is left with a warm feeling and renewed hope in humanity to be there for one another.

The First Movie is phenomenal Ben Affleck nailed that role. The sequel not so much. Nothing in this film was earned at all. All the characters were thrown away development wise and the story was an absolute disaster. I knew from the 1st 5 mins how bad it was going to be. So much wasted potential between the brothers relationship with the younger one complaining about his older brother being autistic for half the movie and then being ok with it the other half. They were some how able to perfectly coordinate there final fight scene against you guessed it the drug cartel even though they didn't know the lay out or train together at all other than in middle school. In conclusion so much wasted potential and at that rate they should have waited another 9 years.

Good movie. Possibly Ben Affleck’s best movie since Daredevil. It had almost everything. Thriller and action. Good reflection of US immigration today and incorporated the theme of neurodiversity. Some very funny scenes also. Additionally, a good performance from Jon Bernthal who I think is underrated.

The first movie was so good. The sequel is truly bad. Thin, but scattered plot. Ben Affleck is doing this weird affected voice which he did not do in the first movie and it's so noticeable and off-putting that it almost seems like a parody. There's less action, replaced with clumsy attempts at humor and character development. This does not make the movie better.

The main plot is pretty bad and eye roll inducing, and there is basically no proper accounting work done at all. But Affleck and Bernthal make magic when this is just played as a straight comedy about 2 brothers.

A decent bit worse than the first movie. The change to a buddy movie was a fail imo as doesn't carry the film at all with a one-joke tenet in conjunction with the tritely executed main plot-line.

This was as good as the first. Got a bit confusing when I didn't pay attention. Good action. Good story. Good brother interaction. Good ending. Well done followup to the first movie. We'd rate it: "top notch for its genre so make some popcorn and enjoy."

What the hell happened? Completely forgot the ominous tone of the first and went with some buddy comedy hybrid. Every movie doesn't need Marvelesque witty banter. Also the writing had the feeling of "throw it at the wall and see what sticks." Wish I wouldn't have wasted the money seeing this in theaters.

Had a lot of fun with these. Plenty of genuinely laugh out loud moments together with the expected and sometimes not expected action sequences. Thoroughly enjoyable time was had by me.

The Accountant 2 is just a f*cking incredible action comedy film with great themes. The story is just as great as the first one, but not that many twists. It uses already well-established characters. The central element of this film is the relationship between Braxton and Chris. And that is handled perfectly. There's so much comedy in it that I did not expect. Braxton is easily my favourite character. He is far from a perfect person, but when he's needed, he'll choose the right side. I haven't laughed in a movie theater this much since Anora. The dialogues are on point, the words have meaning and depth. The first half of the film reminded me of Tropic Thunder in many ways. The middle was a little slower and tried to shift the tone a little, which it did, but also slowed down the film a little bit. There's one big twist, which I only anticipated a minute before it was revealed. The second half is not as good as the first, but the final 30 minutes are perfect. The stakes are real, I realised I haven't been nervous for a character for a long time. The ending might be a little cheesy and the whole film can feel overstuffed for some people, but I enjoyed it a lot. The themes of autism, human trafficking, immigration and brotherhood are used perfectly in my opinion. The cinematography is even better than it was in the first movie. The lighting is just as good, but the action is so well-shot. The editing is still great, but just as in the first film, I felt it's just a little too long and there are a few scenes which dragged. The score is great, it indicated a sense of danger, when I needed it, so it added to the nervousness I already would've had. An other factor that made the stakes feel real, is the stunt work. I think many of the explosions were practically done. The last fight sequence is just John Wick-level perfect. The Accountant 2 would be a perfect sequel, if it was a little shorter, nevertheless it's the best theater experience I've had in 2025 so far.

Lots of action/bloodshed and some quirky humor. The brothers have interesting though weird chemistry. The women in the movie are mostly victims, except two real badasses. A number of autistic savant characters appear in supporting roles. Moved along smartly. It was definitely worth my $10.50.

Ben Affleck's return to the role of Christian Wolff, now accompanied by Jon Bernthal in a split leading role, delivers a film that chooses to swap the emotional density and introspective tone of the original for a lighter, funnier and more action-packed approach. Directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque - names who were already at the helm of the 2016 feature - this sequel shows a clear change of direction, both in structure and style, even though it retains the DNA of the first **** in the original there was a focus on exploring the more delicate layers of the main character, his autism and its social and emotional implications, here the narrative seems more interested in making Christian part of an explosive duo with his brother, Braxton, played with energy and charisma by Bernthal. The relationship between the two, previously addressed only through flashbacks and a quick final confrontation, now takes center stage - and that's where the film gets it right. The chemistry between Affleck and Bernthal is captivating, balancing moments of intense action with situations of comedy that work surprisingly well. The interaction between the brothers not only sustains the film, but also brings a necessary lightness that grips the viewer, even when the narrative is less **** Affleck, for his part, delivers one of the loosest and most comfortable performances of his recent career. It's clear, even off-screen - in interviews and appearances during the promotion - that he's more at ease and connected with the character. This security translates into a solid and charismatic performance, which balances Christian's technical coolness with more human and even vulnerable moments. Although the protagonist's autism is no longer the main focus, the script presents him as a man in the process of adapting, trying to be more sociable and overcome emotional barriers. It's an evolution that is coherent with what was previously established, but which, unfortunately, ends up being portrayed in a somewhat superficial way, leaving out the necessary depth and, at times, flirting with romanticizing the character's abilities as a direct consequence of his condition.However, not everything works as smoothly. The film suffers from uneven editing and a narrative that, by trying to save time with introductions - betting on the fact that the audience already knows the characters - ends up creating confusion. At times, it's difficult to understand the connections between the secondary characters, who is with whom and what the motivation is for certain arcs. The villain, for example, appears with a certain weight, but is soon left aside, with no real impact on the story. There is even the introduction of a major figure, who is supposedly behind all the criminal activity, but who never gains any substance, functioning more as a promise of a third movie than as an effective presence in the **** the other hand, the fast pace and focus on action make up for some of these structural flaws. Gavin O'Connor is at ease conducting hand-to-hand combat scenes and precisely choreographed shoot-outs. If the first film had a firmer footing in investigative drama, this one throws itself full force into action, with gripping scenes that benefit from the good rapport between the protagonists. The aim is clear: to entertain. And in this, “The Accountant 2” does not **** a whole, the film represents an interesting and worthwhile turn for the franchise. Dramatic weight is replaced by dynamism, internal dilemmas by more tangible and immediate external conflicts. Are there stumbling blocks? Yes. The representation of autism is less careful and more geared towards a functional stereotype, the plot is confusing at some points and the antagonism lacks strength. But even with these problems, the sequel manages to be more attractive than the original, which is no small feat.“The Accountant 2” is, above all, a movie that understands its audience and knows where it wants to go. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but perfects its own rhythm, adding charisma and adrenaline in a measure that may not be perfect, but is undoubtedly entertaining and efficient. If the promise of a third chapter comes true, there's room for adjustment, but the road is already paved - and it's much more exciting than the previous one.

‘The Accountant 2’ takes what works so well in the first film and amps it up with a really great, dynamic screen chemistry between Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal. They play off of each other so well, and their scenes together are some of the best of the film. This time around it spends a little less time fully focused on Christian Wolff’s special gifts as the forensic accountant by giving other gifted individuals time to shine while also playing up the great brother dynamic and Christian’s want for some normalcy in his life. The story does take a slight backseat to the brother relationship, but plays out rather well in the end, leaving open the possibility of another film in the future. In the end, ‘The Accountant 2’ gives us great action, good humor, and great performances for a film that’s well worth the price of admission. Brad: 8 Josh: 7.5 Final: 8
