Truly one of the worst and most souless and lifeless pieces of garbage of the past decade a over bloated waterlogged turkey that is equally slow, gloomy, nauseating, clunky, clumsy and worst of all boring as hell. Schlockmeister darren aronofsky responsible for art house drek such as the fountain, mother and requiem for a dream is a must avoid for every film fan. This movie is one of the biggest crimes ever committed to cinema and everyone responsible for it should be banned from filmmaking. The CGI especially that of the animals looked like plastic figurines like the ones they used to sell from toys r us. The acting is godawful everyone doesn’t seem to be trying with Russell Crowe sleepwalking in the film to ray winstone just yelling and groaning like a drunken dwarf. None of these book based charachters are likeable and especially the sons were awful douglas booth is the worst actor in this entire mess and Logan lerman ( his second time playing a son of the main charachter the other being the far more compelling masterpiece the patriot ) just acts like a stereotypical disagreeing son who just argues with his father all the time. Speaking of Noah’s charachter himself oh my god who had the idea to write him to be anA$$hole who attempts to murder his daughters this was not in the book at all and if I were god myself I would just let Noah get drowned in the flood. This movie is to quote the cattle decapitation song apex blasphemy at its most blasphemous an insult to all religious people this being one of the other equally godawful Christian movie abominations left behind, gods not dead and saving Christmas reprresents the worst in filmmaking and screenwriting, who wrote this screenplay anyway some homeless person who thought he wanted to insult the audiences intelligence by making a Bible protagonist a killer?Whoever wrote it deserves to be fired and never be involved with film ever again because Noah is one of the worst movies of this century along with the last airbender, fant4stick, alone in the dark, battlefield earth, birdemic, dragonball evolution, bloodrayne, Freddy got fingered, the happening and disaster movie PS shame on Patti smith for that depressingly awful end credits song 0/100

The movie was well made but didn't even go by a biblical standpoint. Honestly it looked as if they just made things up and took away from what the bible clearly states. I was sadly very disappointed in the way they portray God, Noah & his son's. I highly recommend not to waste your time on this movie. Two thumbs down!

Caught this last weekend on Peacock. This is a dark take on the story of the Ark and Noah is made out to be an anti-hero. It was barely interesting enough to keep me watching through the end, but it was not enjoyable. However it passed the time. Cheers.

"Noah" brings together a stellar ensemble cast, with Russell Crowe delivering a commanding performance in the titular role. Jennifer Connelly's emotive depth adds layers of complexity to her character, while Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, and Emma Watson shine brightly, each contributing their unique essence to the narrative. The film's grandeur is matched by the cast's talent, creating a captivating cinematic experience that's both powerful and moving.

Darren Aronofsky's Noah smothers the powerful story by plunging in an extensive use of non-biblical muck. Wrecked the titular character and wasted the film's own potential in an extravaganza of left-leaning political garbage.

Biblical? Hardly. This is offensive and horribly inaccurate. The next time you decide to make a movie from a story of the Bible, please at least read the story first. I mean, if God wanted all mankind to die, why even bother saving a single family? He's God. He can literally just will all mankind to die and it happens, no flood, no ark needed, all other living things continue to exist. You turned a champion of the Bible into a psychopath. I'm sure the Jewish community and Christian community are equally affronted by this trash.

Here is an epic of extraordinary vision. A work of intelligent insanity that brims with ideas and thrills with images of terrifying power.

My god this user rating is low for now reason at all this is a good movie at worst and when looked at by fans of cinema and an open mind it was one of the best films of 2014. Very captivating and great performances with Aronofsky's skillful touch to it.

Really good up until the Flood, then it changes genre and becomes this lame stalker-thriller nonsense.

I give it a 7 based on how the movie finishes, not how it started because it had a rather rigid start. I was somewhat bored with the first 15-20 minutes and didn't feel like the story was set up that well, which would have really paid dividends later. But once you get through the odd introduction and get rolling with the film, substance suddenly appears. The fallen angels idea was a fun fantasy insertion and the depiction of Noah at times makes good on the observations found in the book of Genesis and how Noah may not have been what we'd consider a saint but was a foundationally-good and noble man that God could work with to restart mankind after the corruption of Cain. The special effects were pretty solid and the casting was overall well executed. It's not a movie I'd love and I may not watch it again but when the film wrapped up I was at least somewhat happy I watched it. If the second half had been less interesting or fumbled like parts of the first half were, I would have probably come away with an indifferent 5 or 6 rating instead. The building of the ark, which is a significant detail of the original story, is almost glossed over and handed off to supernatural beings (not a spoiler), at least in part. This aspect would have been a huge opportunity to expand upon the trials of the wilderness and Noah's family keeping their ark project a secret but the producers didn't feel the building portion to be all that important to focus on. Worth a watch if you're interested in the story the movie is lifted from but as for historical accuracy/source accuracy, it's probably about 50%-60% accurate and the rest is either creative license and outright Hollywood hogwash.

Basically: The unbiblical story of a biblical **** surprise that an atheist would do that. We might as well make a movie about Pres Obama being a WHITE man. -_- That's how off this is.

It could have been great, but it was dull as color of gray. I don't get why they put giant rock people in this movie, it's like having giant plant people in The Ten Commandments.

Biblical themes are always pleasing in the movies, but they're also complex and require some care and attention. This Darren Aronofsky's was technically well done. The CGI allows for great scenes and extraordinary sequences, such as the creation of the world or the flood itself, mixing the biblical text with scientific facts we know today. Cinematography is great, with alternating moments of light and shadow, serving the purpose of characterizing and giving personality to the two opposing factions (the sons of Cain and the sons of Seth). Clint Mansell's soundtrack is equally impressive, creates a good ambiance and gives intensity in the right moments. The actors also did a good job, particularly the antagonistic duet Russell Crowe / Ray Winstone. They're very related to each other because they're the mirror of each other, insofar as one is all that the other isn't. The remaining cast is more restrained, allowing them to have some deserved protagonism. Anthony Hopkins appears in a small role but to which he conferred dignity. "There are no small roles, there are little actors," isn't it? The worst of this movie? Two things: the first is to disappoint the expectations of the public. Whole movie seems a huge metaphor, as if the elements on scene were symbols meant to update the story and bring it closer to our reality. Taking the most striking example of this, the cities of the people of Cain are so savage and cruel that they seem to be dystopian metaphors of our great metropolis. If this was the director/writer's idea, then it's something quite original, but it shocked with all the expectations we might have, and, when that happens, it's so dangerous as a double-edged sword, as the audience can Not understand the intentions of the director. Even I was expecting something else, and even though I recognize the originality of the film, I still feel sorry for not being quite what I expected. The second problem of the film is those fallen angels invented by the director and surely influenced by the story of the angels revolt and their fall to the world. It was a bad idea for the director.

Great film, one of the best of it's year easily. A great Aronofsky film. At least the critics appreciated it, most of you are insane and do you not understand what the medium of film is.

Trying to hide truth or spinning the fact? Or probably both? Typical holywood movies, deception everywhere. God never forgave those fallen angels, they are bound to be punished until now. They didnt even help Noah build the ark.

This movie wasn't what I was expecting. The book of genesis is exciting enough without adding stone giants, a lord of the rings-style mass battle, and a mad-max dystopian world. There are a few good scenes (mainly when the CGI animals are all arriving at the ark) but I mainly found this movie to be a grim, confusing mess. Some kudos to the director for not playing things safe, though in this case I don't think it worked out particularly well.

By far the worst and weaker film in Aronofsky career. It's still hard for me to see how he messed up so bad. Russell Crowe barely does enough while the rest of the cast is as useless as the script.

Absolutely hilarious! This movies' protagonist has nothing to do with the actual "Noah" from the old testament! The story was just... wrong! The acting was probably the only good thing, and the visuals were ok, but i don't think that these are the things that make one - a good movie! Frankly even the comedy "Evan Almighty" has more common things with the actual Noah than this one!

Hey, at least you can end up being ashamed of yourselves after giving that review to this movie. Haven't you people ever heard of this one word called... "Try"? At least that's what the filmmakers did unlike most of you out there.

Even the final song is mournful and down. I don't understand why the 3 sons got no wives and then the whole thing with the twin girls to be killed ala Abraham. Before the flood was pretty good -- about an 8. After? Zero. Average four. Shame.

All I can tell you about this movie was by the end we were all rooting against Noah and hoping he would get killed. Our two sons ages 10 and 11 asked why Noah was so evil. No hero's in this movie. This story was not the history I was told nor educated in church about. Very dark depressing movie - worst movie I have seen in some time.

It's not like an average Hollywood blockbuster...which in general is a good thing. However Noah is sloppily told with a mix of sometimes incredible sometimes laughable and always slightly odd visuals. However the main problem with this movie stems from the fact that it is quiet obvious that the director-instead of seeing a message of hope and redemption, sees Benjamens...lots and lots of em

Sweet clouts of humour, generosity from the righteous and no vanity. Overall, a movie worth watching, with breath catching nodes. The lead of the movie is one that shows the marshalling of planet earth before humans begin to live on it and breathe its air. High and mighty is the evil that has sunk too deep and dark, the rising of the good and innocent is made to sink with the beastly, creepy and foul breath of every nefarious human, which corrupts the fresh air of the planet, with betrayal, murders, cruelty and unfathomable sins. Hence the imagination of god, for the future of these reprobate is the destructive impetus of water for cleansing. Good doesn’t space out and collate itself in the time of destruction, but during the time of saving the creation, on the boat in the form of children, where the real existential fight of good over evil is shown. Noah, the chosen one is to facilitate in the shining of new dawn and the shadows of a new era reflecting on this planet earth, by saving the innocence of the planet. There is a wild discrepancy in the original biblical words and it’s spouting in the movie, no sacrilege and sacrifice from the forces of good make it a true biblical story.

Noah is one of the worst pieces of crap of 2014. The movie doesn't follow the story correctly and half the events in the movie don't make sense. At least the CGI and acting are decent. But by god what an overrated movie. I would recommend this only to hardcore Darren Aronofsky fans, but no one else. 2/10

The tedious plot makes the 2 hours over film a pain to watch. The part where it got slightly engaging was the part where the wicked humans starts waging attacks on Noah, attempting to seize the ark to save themselves from the great flood. And the part where Noah was forced to make a choice whether or not to kill his newborn grand daughters was pretty tense. A few breathtaking scenery and beautiful CG scene is one of the few notable good thing about the film.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. Sure, it was not spot on with the Bible but it was still pretty good. It goes away from the child hood story showing the raw side of Noah. The side that any regular human would have. It has just the right balance of drama and action to make it a fairly satisfying movie.

The typical atheist and Bible hater will probably not like this film; however, for the rest of us it was an awesome work of art. It draws inspiration from the story of Genesis while not taking the story as too literal, and adding special effects and fantasy to the narrative. If you are willing to accept that the producers and director meant to do that then you will enjoy this film. Crowe and Connelly's acting is superb as well as Hopkins.

One would think this focuses on Noah's Ark. But instead it focuses on the consequences of a pregnant girl, while on the ark. Honestly, extremely overrated. Critics do not realize what good acting is or what a good story is anymore.

Decisamente mediocre, irrealistico e scarsamente attendibile. Come peraltro buona parte dei film hollywoodiani, la storia scade nell'ignoranza della fiction.

In the beginning, there were no rock creatures. In the beginning, Noah walked and talked with God in all perfectness. This movie made Noah look like an idiot full of hatred in all ways. OK so the graphics were great- special effects. There was pretty stuff, but The movie didn't really follow the Bible, but more of hollywood's portreyal. I laughed but walked out because we rented this as a redbox film and I got tired of all the fighting. Then I came back and just tried sitting through it. Overall, I've seen better films than this. Bootycheddah! Bootycheddah all the way.

This is a film that gets a pass from me (nothing else) because putting together a big film is always hard and the performances by everybody are correct. The film is watchable and kind of entertaining. Not much more going on with this fictional take on how the invented events wrote by some men centuries ago in the Bible. Decent.

Unbelievable! People call this movie a "Biblical Epic" This movie was not even 3% true! Noah was one of the worst movies of all time. Besides The Interview, there is a movie with poor direction and dialog and that specific movie is Noah. If you are thinking about watching this movie, You better think more than twice.

No entiendo las malas críticas. Es entretenida de principio a fin, con buenas escenas de acción, interpretaciones dignas y alejada de momentos "tostón" de pelis de este género. Ojalá todas las películas bíblicas fueran como esta.

The storytelling is good, score exciting at times Darren Aronofsky's direction goes hand in hand with the graphics used in the movie. About acting Emma Watson was spectacular along with Jennifer Connelly.

I'm glad We the people have the outlet to set the record straight, as the collective insanity of the pro critics gets increasingly wackier. This was cool, shows the Old Testament with all its prescient wisdom about the world and for once not concerned with exclusive Zionist projects. Some critics thought the plant rock spirits were too far fetched. And what, Guys thinking God is teling them directly to embark on crazy boat building projects isn't? Get a grip critics. Aronofsky executes it all with the right tone, and the performances are grounded in a seriousness that sells it. Ecological warnings and all that. Food for thought in the garden of eden.

A única coisa que salva no filme é o cast com Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson e Anthony Hopkins. No mais, tentaram forçar uma história "incrível" e não funcionou.

Even though the performances are solid and some of the set pieces look fascinated, the bloated, boring, and conceded nature of the whole film just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Despite its visuals and strong performances, Noah has an uneven narrative and bad storytelling. Not to mention the underused Russel Crowe who was one of the only highlights of this movie. 4/10 (Below Average)

A big-budget Biblical flick that tries to add some psychological drama to the spectacle. Succeeds in some areas, but fails in others. The CG babies were almost as bad as the one in Twilight.

We all know Noah and the great flood. I won't go into the details of it. Story line is good, Russell and Emma performances were good. The funny thing is Noah got help from fallen angels such as azazel and Semjaza to build the ark. In history, these 2 and the other fallen angels were punished and locked during enoch time, so it's been long before noah time. I generously give 6 stars because it's a good movie to watch.

*Keep in mind, if you've read the Bible or religious in any sort of way, DO NOT watch Noah* I enjoyed half of Noah (get to that in a moment). Russell Crowe is excellent in the title role and the great Anthony Hopkins gives great supporting work along with Emma Watson who's proven that she's going places outside Harry Potter. The visuals are great and the rock warriors were the coolest part of the entire movie.

Noah es una película que lleva una historia bíblica al cine, y lo hace de una forma bien hecha, además hay que destacar que Emma Watson a mejorado como actriz, todos los del reparto tuvieron buenas actuaciones. En general, un muy buen film.

This movie may rely a little too much on special effects but it was still pretty solid. Nice to see a little bit of a twist on this story. Seeing Noah as a bit of an anti-hero instead of a courageous hero.
