Intensely brilliant movie about the kid that did what all the internet companies had failed at before, which was to keep people on their site, with the exception of google who knew that they didn't have too. So many themes ancient and modern analysed within the context of the site that finally managed to combine the vast network of the internet with a social utility. Absolutely sparkling dialogue and mesmerizing score from musical technologists Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose. One of those once in a generation movies for a once in a generation idea.

Completely unmemorable. Opens interestingly enough but has nothing propelling the middle and meanders to a muddlesome end. Formulaic as f**k I thought.

To the jackass Dr Lowdown - As for the script being lifted from Rocky 5- that cant be true as R5 came out in November 90, a full two years after JCVD's KB. So **** a fat one sonny. Look, all martial arts movies should follow this formula. East meets west, transference of skills , mystical knowledge, self improvement empowerment awesome kicks. The teenage boy who saw this loved the athleticism, the editing the smash repeat cuts were all Van damme, he was hardwired into the teenage imagination , I loved the editing pow pow pow pow. Absolute benchmark in teenage action .

this movie ****. '****' from the latin as in don't warch it. Jeez it had 'Captain my captain in it' dont use that as a quote not in this **** plods along like the instutution it takes place in (school) where the inmates (viewers) are warching the clock tick down until quitting time. numerous cringeworthy momnets of dialogue, script, acting. with quite possibly some of the lamest philosophical musings on words and art ever comited to film, and some of the masquearading as intellectual is embarrasingly pedestrian.

Based on the 1 minute I saw of this garbage, avoid at all costs. The most annoying thing is they give the lead a segway to drive around on for his depressing mall job, when a walk would do the fat **** some good. A movie set in a mall, all plastic and depressing as hell

Hey here's an idea for ya. If you're going to bust someone on a wire or film, you might want to have done a bit of surveillance on who the crims are so you know wha tthe **** is going on. If a film is setting itself up as a heist flick of some sort of tricky intelligence, then it had at least have some. Its almost as bad as the Oceans 12 or 13 movie which is off the planet isane in its stupidity, but this does get close. Just horrible characters al about ripping everyone off, and the'yre somehow justified in doing it, but their original con that get s the attention of the FBI is just ridiculous, pretending to get people loans and then not getting them, but securing a fee, surely someone would've beat the **** out of them for that. But the movie sort of reaches for some sort of grandiosity that never delivers because as stated teh con jobs are lame and then the penultimate one is incredulous for the cops stupidity. Critcs dispalayed collective insanity on this one. Too much concentrated media ownership once again, gotta get the money back. well done Hollywood you self congratulating morons. ****wits!!!

I'm glad We the people have the outlet to set the record straight, as the collective insanity of the pro critics gets increasingly wackier. This was cool, shows the Old Testament with all its prescient wisdom about the world and for once not concerned with exclusive Zionist projects. Some critics thought the plant rock spirits were too far fetched. And what, Guys thinking God is teling them directly to embark on crazy boat building projects isn't? Get a grip critics. Aronofsky executes it all with the right tone, and the performances are grounded in a seriousness that sells it. Ecological warnings and all that. Food for thought in the garden of eden.

Pile of **** masqerading as some miracle story straight out of South Africa. Here's an idea for ya. How about you ring up the record company and ask if Rodreegeez is still living in the same town he always has been. Answer would be yes, problem solved. This was just a fabricated conspiracy to milk a concert tour out of someone who wasn't popular. Ya'll got hoodwinked and then fleeced. Absolute **** One guy says he travelled to Amsterdam cos in some lyrics it mentioned there. How about tell the truth lying South African, you went there to smoke dope and probably cooked up the idea for this con job. ****

until i am actually a computer myself how excited am i gonna be about a romantic story between a dude and something he can't even bone, which equates to numerous scenes **** talking to himself? not very! reminds me of the spate of last man alive in new york movies a few years back. you remove the interaction element and you achieve boredom. yeah raises some interesting thoughts on a hellish future that hopefully can be avoided, like should've happened to this film.

boring, tepid fatuousness. Gosling is seriously psycho, in this unneccessarily violent film, that ultimately drives no one any where except around the bend. And then a lame love interest end act that is formulaic and redundant and made me think what the hell movie the critics were salivating over, because this surely wasn;t it. Terrible

Boring, preposterous and idiotic, contains really lame dialogue from London gangsters that stretches credibility even further, even though the premise had stretched it thin enough from the start

absolutely loved this painfully beautiful exposition on facing fear and death. The elemental earth of wind snow and fire. The power of human society over the individual, however the acknowledgement that we are to face death alone although fortified by the few we have **** music is scored wonderfully appropriately adding a foreboding to the beautifully bleak vistas of Arctic Canada. Liam Neeson has the gravitas. Brought me to tears, the heroism in this film, but not mindless, hard earned and with fear. Existentialism par Excellence

Fantastically absurd film but not without structure and deep philosophical insight into the human condition with frighteningly acute observations of family dynamics. It's a surreal masterpiece that laughs at the world, acknowledges the pain we can cause each other in a family and yet also has a wonderful sense of what might just be possible in this world if one were to put their mind to it. For instance, he gets his cartoon made makes some money, blows it all and doesn't care. To him life is a construction of bizarre elements with potential for farce and fun. I love the violent swings in tone, as an audience you feel totally manipulated and surprised at what you're feeling half the time. It is truly unique.

The SanFrancisco critic review is right on the money. This film is an abject failure and colossal waste of time. As nothing happens when the disparate group of guitarists meet, the film is then turned into a by the numbers brief doco on why each member got into music. The result is really dull because there is no unifying theme to the disparate acts. It fails as a love ode to the guitar also and is really an example of a very weak vague idea executed poorly. Ultimately, a super boring turgid experience.
