“Kinda Pregnant” is a Rom-Com that doesn’t deliver on the romance or the comedy. While the premise is barely interesting, not only does the plot, during its ninety minute runtime, in no way justify or fulfil the thesis in any way, but doesn’t even understand it’s own weak premise as the story has no direction, paper thin character motivations and a consistent confusion about what the message of this film should be by the time we reach the indescribably bland ending which was disconnected from the premise and plot “building up” to it. Even as a movie released only 40 days into the year, it’s already a clear contender for worst movie of 2025.

Everything in here is harmless enough that it didn't completely turn me away even though the laughs and performances are marginal at best.

This movie was cheesey fun. Like other silly comedies filled with some dirty, inappropriate humor, this one hit some of the same slapstick notes in a new and funny way. I enjoy Amy Shumer's style and loved it. And... it made the Iceman Cometh!

She has never been funny. We know how she got her break, just not what broke her face

I knew going in that this was going to be a stupid movie. Stupid movies can still be funny! This one, however, was not. Anyone reading this could write a better movie than this. It really quickly skims over the "dear god who would be crazy enough to pretend to be pregnant" problem. Even that would be fine, except it's not funny! A lot of good and funny actors are just wasted here. I feel bad for Will Forte, for Jillian Bell, for Lizze Broadway. Hell, I don't even like Alex Moffat and I feel bad for him. He was good as the meth guy on the Bear! He's wasted in this. I remember enjoying a lot of Trainwreck with Schumer and Bill hader and Colin Quinn. I thought I'd get more of the same here. No! Just bad!

Amy Schumer’s newest Netflix film, Kinda Pregnant, isn’t the Galentine’s chick-flick it promised to be. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much—I never am with Schumer—but I was truly hoping for a mindless film that made me laugh. The film struggles to balance its not-so-funny comedy with more serious moments creating a flat, disappointing film.

Amy Schumer plays a woman who really wants to have a baby, esp. after her bestie (Jillian Bell) gets preggers. So, she straps on a baby bump and starts to enjoy the special attention she receives. Of course, things get complicated. This is Schumer's vehicle and she is often funny, although her sometimes go over-the-top expression can get tedious. The script, co-written by Julie Paiva and Schumer, has its share of good punch lines, while adding to the fun is a steady stream of supporting characters that add quirky personalities (great to see Chris Geere turn up after his starring role in the FX comedy "You're The Worst.") Finally, director Tyler Spindel, who established his rep for physical comedy in "The Out-Laws" (my review), has created most of the big laughs with some genuinely funny bits. While every joke doesn't land, more do than don't. If you enjoy Schumer's frank and sometimes excessive, embarrassing humor, this movie delivers (pun intended).

Amy knocks it out of the park once again. Shows that women are just as good if not better at making movies than men. She brings a new wonderful insightful and feminist view on life. Every movie should aspire to be like this movie.

A few funny moments but overall a dud. Go watch Schumer’s “I Feel Pretty”. Or this director’s “The Wrong Missy” which is way funnier.

Funny all throughout. Worth checking out if you actually have a sense of humour. Don't listen to the haters. Amy Schumer is excellent in it. Lots of laugh out loud moments.

Terrible doesn’t even begin to describe this toilet slop. Amy Schumer is deeply untalented.

Amy Schumer's latest attempt at **** falls flatter than her character in heels during the opening scenes. Not even a stellar supporting cast can save this pregnancy dramedy that's is STILLBORN on delivery...
