Can't play the game without spending $2,000 on a new graphics card because devs are too lazy to optimize a game that they have been copy pasting code from for 20 years. You would figure hammer would have more than 2 moves after all this time if they aren't going to spend any dev time making the game function correctly.

Old School RuneScape2

Started playing osrs about 4 years ago, but things have progressively gone downhill since then. Every update caters to reddit crybabies and bot farm owners, and there is usually only 1 major content drop a year that opens 1 or 2 new activities. Devs rely on 3rd party clients to make their game playable and provide QOL updates, as well as regularly pushing updates that cause people to lose gear or account status. There is no support team outside of begging on reddit and hoping a game mod sees it and doesn't try to start an argument with you or throw baseless accusations at you. Everything you kill drops tons of random resources from skilling this tanking the price of those items making those activities pointless and new bosses are impossible without BIS gear and there is a constant powercreep. Every single piece of content in the game is botted to the point that there is almost no reason to do it as a real player, you will not make any money chasing the drop that takes 100s of hours to get. It is incredibly obvious that several devs run gold farms on the side, hundreds of accounts doing the same action on a single world 24/7 for months on end and reporting them does nothing.

abandonware 'early access' game. Don't bother purchasing after over 6 years of lack of updates this game still only has a couple hours of content, dev is more worried about his streaming career. Very buggy and gameplay is uninspired, should be retitled to shartbound

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth2
Jan 24, 2025
Yet another poor cashgrab entry for the Final Fantasy series, an ongoing experiment in exactly how bad of an experience you can make and still sell copies by Square Enix. FF7 rebirth somehow manages to take an even bigger step back from FF7 remake by adding in even more time wasters and gutting the story. Character VA sound like its their first time and have no guidance. Square has removed any actual decent gameplay and has replaced it all with minigames and unnecessary grinding. On top of that this game seems to be infected with the woke mind virus with the changes to Aerith's identity, completely dumpstering her in an attempted to pander. The OST sound likes something you would find on the epic asset store and game is frequently buggy and crashes. All changes made to the combat system were for the worse. I would say I can't believe they chopped 1 game up into three separate $70 purchases (plus DLC), but its Square Enix so I am not surprised. Please just go back to the old formula that people actually ENJOY. Companies are forgetting games are about having fun and not having ideology shoved down your throat while being forced to grind.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild0

Yet another nintendo game nostalgia baiting that has very little content and is full of time wasting mechanics like degrading equipment. Can't even get all the way through a single playthrough due to so much downtime traversing empty areas just to encounter the same easy enemies with terrible AI over and over again. Pretty much everything in this game is just a gimmick that is forced on you in some areas and has little to no use in others. Pretty standard for nintendo games in the last 10 years.

Just another game trying to be 'different' by purposefully copying ancient successful games on a shoestring budget using the 'retro aesthetic' as an excuse for the game to both look and run terribly. Looks just enough like old doom/wolfenstien to get rubes to buy it but just different enough to avoid an IP lawsuit.

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus3

What started out as a promising Gacha to a very unique and interesting franchise has slowly devolved into an outright cashgrab. Almost a full year into the official launch of the game there has been almost no game content added. The vast majority of what has been added are just time-locked event characters that all have identical launch events. The game has become an utter slog to grind through almost any section of upgrades as every single patch seems to nerf something. Nothing is ever added or buffed, only nerfs. Campaign raid nerfs, tournament reward nerfs to prevent anyone than the top few hundred from getting anything even remotely worth the effort of playing 48 live player vs player battles, dailies nerfed then removed altogether which halved the rate at which players can receive character pulls. Misleading shop offers that are very predatory and aimed at day 1 players who do not realize that some of the characters they attempt to sell you for $80 can be unlocked almost immediately for free. The vast majority of the cast is now locked behind extremely rare or costly pulls with absurdly low chances to get. I have played a few other gachas and none hated their f2p community this much, basic units received through game modes or the campaign can take a long time to unlock and are extremely lack luster compared to the 'premium' roster. Live tournament arena is extremely unbalanced with some premium units resulting in turn 1 wins in some circumstances. Constant server outages and half-baked buggy patches that can result in constant crashes and an inability to participate in any part of the game for hours at a time. While they do issue some premium currency as an apology during these outages, it usually is not enough to do anything with unless you spend months hoarding it. Multiple times Character events and character grinds have been nerfed with little-to-no notice just to incentivize spending money on pulls for the very small chance of getting upgrade shards for your specific character. There are multiple characters that have a near unlimited amount of upgrade shards from grinding game modes that still take up high percentage pull chances in the requisition pull. Getting one of these characters after saving premium currency or spending money would especially amount to a 'nothing; pull. Long after you have enough to fully upgrade the character you will still be fed them in large amounts, pointlessly. There is very little chance this will ever be rectified as the devs have never buffed any grinding or character acquisition method in any meaningful way. It is started to become clear that the main goal of this game is to just find a few whales to exploit until they stop paying, then drop all support for the game. There seems to be no actual in game content on the way besides our monthly character release event, complete with copy/paste missions that are usually poorly thought out or borderline impossible to complete until they are hotfixed some days after it has become a widespread issue.

Resident Evil 43

Another soulless cashgrab remake from capcom. Dumbed down difficulty, no extra modes, moving more towards an action/cod style gameplay than actual survival horror. Basically just a low effort remake to squeeze money out of people who never grew up and stopped playing video games, knowing that this franchise has lifetime long fans who will buy it no matter what. They never even polished up the horrid dialogue that sounds like it was written by a child.

Great upgrades to the gunplay and movement mechanics. Gameplay is fine but story and horrible DLC monetization ruined the sequel to my favorite game of all time. This game should be a 10/10 with the time and money put into it.

One of Bethesda's biggest missed opportunities, so much of this game could have been great but as with all Bethesda games it was released in a state resembling half finished and had things that should have been day 1 pushed on us with DLC and the rest left to modders. Microsoft please save this franchise.

Game is extremely boring with tons of time waster mechanics and an empty world. Same mechanics animations and graphics as the previous fromsoft games. I guess the dodgerolled innovation. Critic reviews are obvious bought reviews just like every game heralded as a 10/10.
