An incredible film, rarely seen before, released on November 11, 1994 one of the rare films that made me cry

Forrest Gump es una de esas películas que trascienden generaciones. A través de una historia sencilla, recorre momentos clave de la historia moderna con una mirada humana y honesta. Tom Hanks ofrece una actuación entrañable que sostiene toda la película, logrando que Forrest se sienta real, cercano y eterno. Su combinación de drama, comedia y romance funciona de manera natural, apoyada por un soundtrack inolvidable. Es cine que no presume, pero pega directo al corazón.

Ez a film számomra a mozi esszenciája. ️ Nem csak nézed, hanem együtt lélegzel a történelemmel. Zemeckis rendezése és Tom Hanks játéka olyan elegyet alkot, ami egyszerre facsarja ki a szívedet és tölt fel végtelen életigenléssel. ️ Amikor a tollpihe száll a végén... az maga a filmművészeti varázslat. Ezt a filmet nem elég látni, ezt érezni kell. For me, this movie is the very essence of cinema. ️ You don't just watch it; you breathe with history. Zemeckis's direction and Tom Hanks's performance create a blend that breaks your heart and fills you with infinite optimism all at once. ️ When that feather floats at the end... that is pure cinematic magic. You don't just see this movie, you have to feel it.

Cons: There are honestly no flaws that I can think of for this movie.Pros: This movie is charming and fun. The perfect mix of humor and heart. Sometimes it had me cackling, and other times it pulled on my heartstrings. Forrest is a lovable lead who sees the world from an innocent point of of view. The type of guy you'd like to be friends with, and it feels like he's your friend as he tells you the story of his life including both the highs and lows. The film is set during the 1950s through the 1980s, and it's fun to see Forrest interact with and be involved with the major historical events that marked those time periods from Elvis's rise to fame to the protests against the Vietnam War. This movie is a classic and is 100% worth the hype. It's the type of movie you need to watch at least once in your life. It will have you laughing and rooting for a guy that the world doesn't deserve, but the world needs more of.

Lowbrow sentimental film. You've got to work hard to suspend disbelief on this one. Others seem to love it.

Je l'ai vu 2 fois pourêtre sur de mon avis J'arrive pas du tout à m'attacher à ce perso. Il vit plein d'histoires différentes dans lesquels on a pas le temps de saisir la profondeur tant elles sont narrées de manière bâclé... je comprend la vibe du film mais j'arrive pas du tout à m'y attacher et je trouve le tout long et vide.

The film talks about the entire life of the protagonist from when he was a child to adulthood, retracing all the phases of his life. The life of the protagonist is intertwined with the America of the 50s/60s, military life and the Vietnam War, the America of the hippies up to the modern era. The settings and historical periods are described perfectly with their habits and customs and with great realism. The entire film is described from the point of view of the protagonist and characterized by his being naive in front of the events of life and reality, both in relationships with people and towards what happens in the environment that surrounds him; the character's attitude allows the viewer to see everything in an ironic and funny way, which not only makes you laugh but reflect and empathize with the protagonist. The feelings, emotions and actions of the protagonist are described and transmitted to the viewer in a perfect way. It is a touching film that leaves nostalgia at the end of its vision. A perfect film in every detail, for story, interpretation, setting and emotion

It’s truly a masterpiece! What else do you expect me to say? If you haven’t watched it, you missed out on something. SO WATCH IT ALREADY!

Fantastic movie with one of best stories ever told in the history of cinema

My Opinion on Forrest Gump- I found it a very touching and valuable story from start to finish as it teaches quite a lot of things like not to treat anyone differently and respecting cultures but also loyalty which to me it is extremely valuable but it also give us a lesson on standing up to anyone and also it's OK to be scared. My Dad's opinion- "Plenty of min stories woven into to the story to show the richness of Forrest's life".

This is one of the best films I have ever watched and If you haven't watched it then you should defently watch it soon. You are really missing out on one of the tom hanks greats here. It really hasa mix of everything such as romance, Comedy, War and Sports so you are bound to like it ever just a bit. It is going off nexflix soon (as of 17/10/2024) so you need to watch this film. 10/10 Experience, no questions asked

Honestly the more i grow the more i rewatch this , is just so simple . And a good moovie ,doesn’t just need to be simple ? I mean its fun, its accessible for everyone ,its good ,sad change your mind .Its different for everyone. Like life just good as a good thing .

Still very sweet, earnest and emotive after all this time, Forrest Gump very nearly drowns in a perpetual stream of fibs and exaggerations. The constant pop culture references, and Forrest's appearances in just about every last hallmark moment of his generation, act as both a blessing and a curse. They represent a majority of the film's enduring identity, with a certain amount of charm attributed to the seamy, not-quite-there execution of the archival footage, but it's often a case of too much **** thing. His silly contributions during the continent-spanning run that seals the second act are particularly egregious: good for a very quick snort, but ultimately damaging to the story at large. It's got a big, heavy heart though, and that carries it a long way. Tom Hanks, of course, is to thank for a great deal of that, but Gary Sinise is just as good in his cigar-chomping, world-loathing, hat-hanging support role as Lieutenant Dan. A one-of-a-kind classic that may have been just a smidge overrated at the time, its cornerstone scenes still hold up very well and the classic cast of characters may as well be family at this point.

Classic, timeless, with a powerful soundtrack and steady narrative pace, combined with Tom Hanks' superb performance and Robert Zemeckis' masterful direction, Forrest Gump uses the half-life story of a legendary character to teach us some life lessons.

Went to see this on the big screen for the first time. Love this film. Never tire of seeing it. It is just brilliant and one of the few films that I would ever give 5 stars.

A true masterpiece. It shows the history of america trough different characters, which is pretty cool. The soundtrack is fantastic for an Oldie-Lover. Very entertainig, but a tick too long, which is truly the only flaw...

Forrest Gump is one of the most beautiful stories out there. It's very emotional and I love how we as the audience saw everything through the main character's eyes. This gave the opportunity to show political events without and partiality, which I incredibly like and respect. Tom Hanks gave an amazing performance. The music was really good, the cinematography is outstanding. There were few impossibly beautiful shots, for example the tree in the sunset. The only criticism I have is that the three old guys in the bar didn't age much throughout the 30-40 years, but the point of their existence was the humor, which was on point. Overall, this is among the best movies of all time.

It is actually a book that was once taught to children in schools in America. To help you understand disabled people better, in short; It will help you become a little more human. An icon of American cinema the day it came out. It's not a perfect movie and has some flaws but it might just be the most heartfelt and irreplaceable movie of all time. Tom Hanks has one of the best performances ever captured and the supporting cast is equally as good. The movie has incredible drama, comedy, romance but then transports you to one of the better war sequences and battles you've seen captured during Vietnam. There's no shortage of incredible vignettes of American history that imbeds you with American nostalgia. Also some of the cinematography and shots make you fall in love with the look of America all over again. Even though some of the source material is very heavy, you get to laugh a lot, and you will feel inspired at the end and hope you can see the world just a little bit how Forrest does. Why it rocks: There are plenty of laughs, just like there are plenty of tearjerkers. Forrest himself is normal, a little strange and sort of dumb, and that’s where he gets his great character from. The movie proves that someone doesn’t have to be smart. The lines are memorable, the characters are memorable and everything has some sort of meaning to it.

Such a heart wrenching film. This is a must watch on everyone's list. The emotions you will have in this film are wild. It really is like a roller coaster and will stay with you forever in a good way.

An awesome vehicle for story telling. The twists and turns throughout the story are wildly entertaining, and i was always cheering for forrest. Really compelling protagonist and the way the story unfolds very satisfying.

Wonderful story of the life full of adventures of a man with problems. You are moving and wonderful.

It's a very dramatic, moving, and funny movie! It's one of my favorite movies. There is not really a bad guy or a good guy (although I think Jenny is the villain in the movie)

A cult classic, one of the quintessential roles for Tom Hanks and a must see movie. Everyone watched, heard of or knows at least some scenes or the quotes from this movie like “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are get”. It is well remembered and quoted still today. Also Forrest is one of the most memorable characters in movie history. Just say “ Run Forrest Run” and all people will have a nostalgic smile;-). Some parts might not have aged that well but I consider it a true classic.

I have seen this film twice and It is a masterpiece. Some say the film hasn’t aged well but other than a couple of jokes it is mostly timeless.
