Marshals: Season 1

Cons: Kayce Dutton’s son is kinda boring. I wish they would give him some more interesting storylines because he’s just kinda there. Pros: The slow burn romances are brilliant. The tension between Kayce and Andrea as well as Cal and Belle is very well done and at just the right pace. I appreciate a series that lets their characters' relationships grow naturally which makes them feel more real and earned. These types of slow burn romances are severely missed in modern day streaming series with only 8 episode seasons. Therefore, I am so thankful that Marshals has seasons that are longer than that. The cinematography is also incredible. The visuals are stunning and make you feel like you are actually out in the open fields and wilderness of Montana. This show also has excellent soap drama. From revealing the bartender is Carl’s daughter to having Miles date his boss’s daughter to complicate things further, this show really knows how to stir the pot while keeping things grounded, which I just love. On the flipside, Marshals also does an excellent job with keeping the stakes high. Some great examples are how it took more than 1 episode to find the kidnapped reservation girls, and every gun fight scene feels and looks intense with realistic action. Finally, the plot twist at the end of season 1 was just delicious and has me hyped for season 2.

Cons: Sitcoms should NOT have only 8 episodes. While Adults was still able to capture the magic and vibes of popular sitcoms from the past, the only 8 episode seasons have been holding it back from being great. For example, some of the slow burn romances came together too quickly. I can hardly call them slowburns in that case. They’re technically fast burns. If the seasons had more than 8 episodes, these “slow burns” would have truly been earned and more fleshed out. The potential of some of these slow burn romances is so great that I could see some of these pairings being iconic if the darn show was just longer. But instead the binge model killed the hype and most people have already moved on from Adults left wanting more. Pros: When I first heard about this sitcom, I thought it would just be some more corporate cringe gen z slop. However, I was proven wrong. Somehow, this show managed to capture the charm of early 2000s sitcoms despite being set in the modern day. The characters were actually endearing in a way that I didn’t expect. I do have to say though, despite being a sitcom, I did not laugh a whole lot. It wasn’t really that funny, and yet I still had a fun time watching for some reason. I guess not all sitcoms have to make me constantly laugh to still really enjoy them, but I know everyone might not feel the same way about this. I would still give this show a chance though even if the “not really funny” part turns you away. Regardless, it’s still a good show. You will see what I am talking about when you watch it.

Cons: Personally, I find the interpersonal relationships between the main characters and social battles between the Pogues and Kooks far more interesting than the treasure hunting main driving plot of this show. I would say season 5 could have used less treasure hunting and high-speed chases, and more soapy drama. The high-speed chases were starting to get repetitive and old after a while.I also hate to say this, but the show was just not the same without JJ Maybank. I’m all for a meaningful character death, but those are best done when the show is ending, not when there is a lot more story to tell, and not when that character happens to be a major component of what makes the show so iconic in the first place. Pros: The series finale was fantastic. Having it set in a hurricane was just genius and kept the tension high throughout the entire episode. It was honestly one of the best Netflix original series finales that I have ever seen. I also liked the scene in the penultimate episode where Kiara tries to use the crown to bring JJ back to life only for her to see visions of the memories she shared with him instead. I liked how the show kept us guessing if something supernatural would happen or not, but what we got instead with the flashbacks of JJ brought me to tears, and it was just so emotional and beautiful to where I was okay with the fact that the show was not going to go anywhere supernatural and stick with being grounded like it always has been up to this point. But I won’t lie, saving something supernatural for the end of the series would have been a great idea, and I wouldn’t have minded if they had used it to bring JJ back to life. It would have added an extra layer of intrigue to the show and totally would have been a pleasant shock and reward after all the suffering the Pogues have been through. But I totally see why they chose not to include any supernatural elements, even at the end of the show in order to keep things grounded. But Indiana Jones was able to balance being grounded with supernatural elements, so I don’t see why Outer Banks couldn’t have done the same. Finally, I really liked the masquerade party episode. Seeing all the Pogues and Kooks looking their best while on a secret mission was just so fun to watch. In fact, I would have liked more episodes like that throughout the entire show. Teen shows used to have parties and events every couple of episodes, and those episodes are often some of the most iconic in the series, and the same applies to Outer Banks.

Cons: I expected more from the Bizarro storyline. He kind of just appeared and then made some cameos throughout the season before randomly appearing at the end to join the fight against the Eradicator. Pros: I loved the episode “Guess Who’s Slammin’ to Dinner” where Superboy from the future first appeared. The fight to stop the future from happening and avoid Superman’s future death was so interesting and intense. I also liked the episode where everyone got turned into an animal. I thought that storyline was so fun yet engaging at the same time. Finally, I liked the ongoing storyline of Jimmy and Kara dating other people while really harboring feelings for each other. I think they’re dynamic is sweet even though it can get messy and repetitive at times. I love forbidden romance, but Jimmy and Kara aren’t really in a forbidden romance. They really have no reason not to get together other than immaturity communicating their feelings which can get old after a while.

Little House on the Prairie (2026)

Cons: My first issue is that this series has 8 episode seasons. Now, I know almost all streaming shows have 8 episode seasons, but I will never shut up about how 8 episodes limits the quality of shows. The original Little House on the Prairie series felt like a real place and world and the characters felt like family because we got to spend so much time with them through their ups and downs which is something no 8 episode season show can ever accomplish. And while this show is excellent by modern standards, the original will remain the definitive version simply for having longer seasons. Quality over quantity isn’t a real thing with television. You need both working together for a show to work. That is what separates television from movies. Moving on, I would have liked this series to have had an actual intro. While this might be nitpicky, one of the iconic things about the original show was its moving intro. I would have liked this show to at least have made an attempt to have an intro that this show can be remembered by. I want there to be a song that I hear and instantly think of this world and characters. Despite the main Ingalls family being front and center for most of the show, there were some side plots. I love a good side plot, but I’m afraid that once again the season being so short really hurt the side plots like it does with almost all 8 episode shows. With so few episodes, I found myself desperate to rush through the side plots because I wanted to see more of the main Ingalls family drama. While some of the side plots piqued my interest at times, the show just could not allot enough screen time to fully flesh them out and execute them in an interesting way, which is something the original show had no problem with seeing as it had way more episodes and screentime to work with. Pros: As a diehard fan of the original Little House on the Prairie show with Melissa Gilbert, this show felt like its true spiritual successor. Am I mad that a streaming service got the rights to adapt the Little House books instead of a network channel? Obviously, because I am not a fan of the formula for streaming shows. But, for what it is, I’m not gonna lie. I enjoyed it. In fact, I am looking forward to season 2. It is honestly one of the best streaming shows I have ever watched in general, especially in this particular genre of a family friendly historical drama. The original Little House show means so much to me, and somehow this show managed to capture that magic in a bottle all over again. The casting, chef’s kiss to the casting. From Laura and Mary, to Mr. And Mrs. Ingalls, all the way to Mr. Edwards, everyone is perfectly cast, and sometimes even feel like the original show’s cast but in their own special ways. The cinematography is also incredible. While watching, you feel like you are out there on the prairie with them sometimes. This show is just so overall warm and fuzzy. The world needs more feel good shows like this with healthy family dynamics. Finally, I have to give a shout out to the dialogue. It also felt reminiscent of the original show. The dialogue in this show is just so wholesome, real, and human. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the cringey dialogue of most streaming shows.

Cons: The supporting cast **** the life out of this show. All of them were either egotistical jerks or bland as watching paint dry on a wall. The plot was also pretty boring for that matter and felt lackluster compared to the plots of the original movies. Bruiser was also sidelined and while he didn’t do a whole lot in the original movies, especially the first one, this series would have been the perfect opportunity to give him more limelight, but instead they pretty much completely ignored his existence especially in the last couple of episodes where he was pretty much nonexistent. When it comes to the love triangle between Elle, Miles, and Dustin, it was also pretty dull and poorly executed. I feel like this show missed out on an opportunity to recreate the magic that series like Hart of Dixie had in their love triangles, but modern series with their extremely short seasons, muddy lighting, and gen z dating culture are incapable of having any memorable romantic plots unfortunately. And this series is just another example of this. It lowkey gave me the same vibes as Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, and that is not a compliment. Finally, for a show that is supposed to be set in the 90s, it felt just like any other modern show in the way that all the characters talked. I’m tired of social justice topics being brought up in series where they have nothing to do with the main plot. If a certain social justice issue is a part of the main plot of the show, then fine. But if it’s not, then conversation about it just becomes annoying and just such obvious pandering. Pros: Lexi Minetree is fantastic as young Elle and is really the only bright spot in this show. Sometimes, at certain angles, she even looks exactly like Reese Witherspoon, so great casting for Elle for sure. I also really liked the intro with “Only Happy When It Rains” playing. I thought it was such a banger. Elle’s wardrobe was another highlight in this show, which I feel is ironic that it is one of the few good things about it, considering that the character of Elle Woods is supposed to be more than just her taste in fashion and yet this show doesn’t have much going for it outside of Elle’s clothes. I also liked the 90s references and thought some of them were funny. However, they did become a bit excessive to the point where I started to roll my eyes, but this easily could have been fixed if the show actually felt like it were set in the 90s in the way that the characters talked and acted instead of relying on references and jokes to remind the audience that this show is, in fact, set in the 90s. Finally, I liked the commentary in episode 7 about the fashion industry within celebrity culture.I thought that was interesting. Unfortunately, it was only in that one episode, and I honestly would have rather this series focused more on that, but I guess they wanted to avoid being too much like The Devil Wears Prada.

Cons: Could be a bit silly at times that felt out of place for a horror show. The show seemed to forget who its main characters were at times, often sidelining beloved characters for new ones. By the end, the cast grew too large which resulted in a lack of focus and direction. Pros: This is probably Netflix's best original show. It has a memorable soundtrack that sticks with you and an iconic opening. The 80s vibes and songs are so nostalgic which gives this show a sense of realism. The horror can be quite scary, and this show is not afraid to have gore. Most of the characters are likeable, and the main antagonists, Vecna and the Mindflayer steal the show. The lore is a mix of fantasy and science fiction, giving vibes similar to Scooby Doo but with real monsters.

Stranger Things: Season 5

By far, season 5 is the worst season of Stranger Things, which is sad considering it is literally the FINALE of the entire show. This season completely lost the plot, and the vibe and tone of the show was nothing like the first 4 seasons. Stranger Things is supposed to be a horror show, and yet the last season wasn't scary at all. Season 4 would have been a better final season than the slop that was season 5. This season also sidelined all the main characters. Instead of focusing on the main characters that we all know and love, most of the season focused on Holly Wheeler. There's a lot of bad things that I could go on about that I didn't like about this season. The demogorgons no longer were much of a threat, and somehow were completely left out of the finale which took place in their own literal HOME in the abyss. No one died this season except Kali which is a character no one cared about and was clearly only brought back to take the place of someone else dying. Will coming out was pointless and had no affect on the finale whatsoever which makes me question why they even bothered to "dramatically" end the episode that way before the literal FINALE. The military plot was boring and completely forgotten about by the end which makes me question why they were even included in the first place. We hardly see Will do anything with his new powers after episode 4 which was such wasted potential. They turned Nancy into a robotic girlboss and made all the men look weak next to her which was clearly pushing an agenda that I hardly find entertaining as a woman myself. Vecna didn't feel like much of a threat this season (at least compared to season 4), and he was easily defeated as a result. Vecna's backstory was never fully explained and relied heavily on a play no one has seen which made the show feel very incomplete and unsatisfying. Overall, this season ****, and it was clear that the Duffer Brothers and the other writers had no more energy left to put into this show which caused it to be rushed and low quality. I'm afraid I will have to cancel my Netflix subscription after this disaster.

Cons: I'm not a fan of shows that don't have at least 10 episodes per season, and this show suffers from being the length of a limited series. Pluribus easily could have been a movie honestly. If a story can't last for at least 10 episodes a season, then it should be made into a movie, not a TV show in my opinion. TV should be for long-form content only. I'm tired of everything being a limited series. The reason I think this is because the story tends to drag a bit with not much going on in many of the episodes, making this show kind of un-rewatchable. It's fun the first time around when you don't know what's happening and are discovering everything for the first time along with the main character Carol. However, I don't know who would take the time to rewatch all 9 episodes again after figuring everything out. If Pluribus was a movie, then this would be a different story. Pros: It's a very unique premise for an alien invasion story. The plot is very unpredictable. I remember always being on the edge of my seat whenever Carol tried to press the hivemind's buttons to test their limits of what they would let her get away with. The mystery of the hivemind's nature that unfolded throughout the show was also very engaging. The creepy and mysterious vibes were on point throughout the entire show.

Cons: Personally, this isn't necessarily the show for me. I'm more into romantic dramas. But for what it is and what it's trying to be (a messy show about toxic relationships and friendships), it pulls it off fantastically. It can get depressing at times, but that comes with the nature of these kinds of shows. Think Euphoria but slightly tamer. Pros: It is filled with twists, lies, and betrayals (hence the name). Almost all the characters will make you want to throw something at the TV at one point or another. it's the type of show where it's hard to root for anyone, but that's the fun of it. You get to root AGAINST everyone instead. If you love messy drama, and characters who constantly make the worst decisions, this show is for you. It will show you the worst sides of humanity. May love and friends like these never find me.

Cons: I'm not a huge fan of depression arcs, so the first 3 episodes of season 2 fell flat for me, but that's really just a preference on my part. Sometimes, it feels like the show is trying to highlight the whole cast by presenting them in group shots or at parties together. However, it is so weird when they do this cuz other than Ruby, James, and Lydia, the rest of the cast is HEAVILY underdeveloped, and it's like the show is trying to make us care about them, but then they RARELY ever show them. Like the rest of the supporting cast probably has a total of 2 minutes of screen time each. I blame this on the fact this is a limited/prestige series, which really hurts the quality of the show. There's just not enough time for things to get fleshed out, for the audience to get to know the characters, or really for the show to last long enough to be memorable. This show wouldn't really stand out at all if Ruby and James didn't have the chemistry that they do. I would really much rather a show like this be a movie if Amazon is not willing to commit to a full quality long form show as opposed to a short, low quality limited series. Another issue I had with season 2 is the cheating trope in the first episode. I hate the cheating trope, and it made it really hard to root for James after that. Amazon MGM Studios need to take notes on 2000s CW shows which rarely had the cheating trope (if there was any cheating going on, it usually would be a side character doing it, not the FREAKING main love interest). Pros: Ruby and James have stellar chemistry, and have some of the best chemistry that I have seen in a recent modern teen romance show. Also, the soundtrack is pretty good in certain scenes such as at the party in season 2, episode 4. The season 2 finale was a bit underwhelming in terms of seeing Ruby and James together, but the conflict brought upon Ruby by James' father was interesting enough to keep me engaged. I would like to see more of James' father messing with his children's lives, and them fighting back with Ruby's help.

Pros: This is my current favorite docusoap reality TV series. It is wildly entertaining. Now, if you're looking for an actual insight into the lives of true practicing mormon wives, this is not for you. Most of the women featured in this show have either left the church or pick and choose which church practices that they want to follow, which results in a group of women who have very loose morals despite pretending to hold each other accountable. The name "secret lives of mormon wives" is simply to draw viewers in and set a vibe for the show, but it is very much like any other housewives show. What sets it apart from other housewives shows though is that these women are still very much in their youth and are still dealing with dating, having children, divorce, and petty he-said, she-said drama, which results in a delicious combination that will have you both rooting and hating on each of these women. Cons: If you don't like grown women acting like teenagers and constantly yelling at each other, this show is not for you. Personally, I can't get enough of these ladies and their drama.

Cons: This show is incredibly boring. I don't even know how it's possible for a fantasy series to be boring, but somehow it was. Now, I have never read the books, but that shouldn't matter. I did not read the books prior to watching Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Twilight, or the Hunger Games, and those are some of my favorite movies of all time. A show based on a book series should make me want to read the books. However, this show made me take the Percy Jackson series off my reading list cuz it was so boring. Now, you can also make the excuse "oh, but it's just a kid's show; it's not that deep." Um, I don't even see how kids can watch this show and actually like it. I feel like if I watched this show when I was younger, it would have put me to sleep. And I actually like kids' shows and movies. I think Spy Kids and Ninjago are masterpieces. I can't wait to show my future kids those shows one day. You know which show I will not be showing my future kids? Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Also, none of the Olympic gods in this show were interesting at all. None of them had any presence or aura or felt threatening at all. They all felt so bland, bored, and dull. In fact, those 3 words can be used to describe this entire show. Every time a character spoke in this show they were dropping exposition. It got to the point where I felt like the only way to understand who anybody was talking about was by reading the books or learning about Greek mythology. This show really needs to learn how to show and not tell. This series also has an uninspired and forgettable soundtrack. If you put on the soundtrack for say Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, I would instantly be able to tell you which franchise the songs are from. However, if you put on the theme from this show, I would not be able to remember it at all. Really the only scenes that were good or made me feel any emotions were the scenes with the monsters or Percy's mother. Also, for a fantasy series, there was a severe lack of action. Most of the show is just the characters standing in place with no emotions on their faces talking about confusing backstory like it's common knowledge. Pros: There's nothing good to say about this show.

Some of the side characters might even become your favorites. The soundtrack for this show also eats. I've discovered some great music from this show. The plots are complicated and engaging with just enough mystery to surprise you when things are revealed throughout the show. The action is also very impressive and brutal, and doesn't look like CGI slop like some other superhero media. Cons: Some cringey forced humor here and there. Pros: WOW, did this 4 episode event blow me away. By the end of the series, I felt like I had just rode a dark ride at Universal Studios. It is that epic and gripping. You really never knew what was gonna happen next with characters being killed off left and right. No one was safe in this series. And don't even get me started on the plot twists. They had me intrigued and constantly guessing. The standouts for me in this series were Ms. Marvel (her best appearance in an MCU project so far), the Scarlett Witch (an eery villain whose intentions remain mysterious), Shang-Chi, Blade Knight, Spider-Man, Thor, and Hulk. The action and fight scenes in this series were also top notch. That final fight between Hulk and the survivors vs. Wanda and her zombie horde was absolutely epic. There are so many great character interactions that we have yet to see in live action MCU projects such as Kamala getting to meet Peter Parker and Shang-Chi getting nervous around Yelena Belova. The animation is the same as the animation that What If had, but, to me, it seemed more stunning and dynamic in this series. It really worked well with the apocalyptic, edgy, and dark vibes of the show. Finally, the ending of the show will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more, the perfect ending to an entire season of trying to find somewhere safe to hide only to discover that you're not safe anywhere. Bring on season 2! Don't let us down, Marvel Animation!

Cons: Extremely overrated. The way people were talking about this show, I thought it was gonna be as good as The Vampire Diaries. It is not even close. It is a very cringey show. Some of the dialogue gives me extreme second hand embarrassment and don't even get me started on the dance scenes. The dance scenes are awful. The main character Belly is insufferable. She can't make up her mind on which brother she wants to save her life, and she has no remorse when it comes to messing and cheating on them. I see people online trying to compare her to Elena from The Vampire Diaries. That is honestly an insult to Elena. Elena has morals; Belly doesn't have any. The two male love interests Conrad and Jeremiah are also insufferable. I also see people trying to compare them to Damon and Stefan from The Vampire Diaries. Comparing them should be considered a crime cuz they are NOTHING alike. If Conrad and Jeremiah are the ideal male love interests for gen Z than I fear for our future. Those boys are toxic and have commitment issues. They are some of the worst male love interests that I have ever come across. The soundtrack for this show also ****. It is 90% Taylor Swift. Good shows have a diverse soundtrack. TV shows that have incredible soundtracks are The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill. Something that also ruined this show was that it was strictly based on the books they were adapted from. No one wants to watch what we've already read (unless it's a movie adaption). TV shows should be very loosely based on the books they are adapted from so there can be more episodes and seasons with creative plots and new characters. This is why The Vampire Diaries and Little House on the Prairie were such great shows and aired for years. It is because they had the creative freedom to be loosely based on the books. Pros: I'm glad that this show has a love triangle, even if it isn't very good. I am a **** for love triangles. After all, my favorite show of all time is The Vampire Diaries. Some of the scenes were decent such as when Conrad and Belly were walking on the beach at the beginning of season 2 and when they were shopping at Michaels in S3, when Belly was dancing at the bar in S3, and when Belly and Conrad spent the night together in the finale. Other than that, there isn't much good stuff to say about this show. Mind you, I am the target audience at 19 years old.

Pros: Attempting the love triangle trope, and some of the music was good. Relatable moments like when Jackie was stressed about her driver's test, and Cole was worried about his SAT score. Cons: BORING. Almost all the side plots are boring except for Kiley and Dylan's romance. This show markets itself as a romance series but romance is barely present. Well, it's present, just not with the main characters (Jackie, Cole, and Alex). Instead, there are random rain kiss scenes with extremely boring and dry side character couples such as Danny and Erin that feels so pointless and out of place (shouldn't rain kiss scenes be reserved for the main couple?). The main male love interests, Alex and Cole, are extremely dry, and it's hard to root for boys who seem to be constantly depressed. Jackie is a very boring lead who is supposed to be smart but then she moves very weirdly with her love interests which makes her very annoying and hard to root for. Overall, I was so bored watching season 2 that I will not be watching any future seasons. I could care less who Jackie ends up with. Here's a tip for you, Netflix, if you're gonna do a love triangle right like The Vampire Diaries, make both the male love interests actually likeable and worthy of the girl. The boys in this show are just not it. Cole is so lazy that he might not make it into college. How the heck is he supposed to be the provider for Jackie if she is practically the man in the relationship?

Cons: There are a few slow episodes here and there. Pros: This show is a hilarious ride full of heart. The fight scenes are intense and creative. The characters are all loveable in their own ways. You will find yourself rooting for someone characters while hating on others. And before you know it, you will root for all of them as you learn about each of their individual struggles. This show has the best school fight scene that I have ever seen and some of the best humor I've ever heard. Something I really like about this show is that both the adult and kid story lines are very engaging. This show's soundtrack is also awesome. Finally, this show brings back many of the characters from the original Karate Kid movies as older adults, and they're not just there for cameos. Many of them play vital roles in the series, so it's all connected. Kind of like a Karate Kid cinematic universe you could say, but it's handled amazingly well.

Cons: X-Men ‘97 season 2 was a huge step down from the first season unfortunately. It felt very unfocused especially in episodes 5 through 7. I don’t know why streaming series feel the need to have filler episodes. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE filler episodes. I think they are one of the reasons pre-streaming shows will always reign superior to streaming shows. But in a show that has less than 10 episodes per season, we don’t have time to dilly-dally with filler. The filler episodes such as the Wolverine-focused episode, Polaris-focused episode, and Nightcrawler-focused episode just felt like stumbling blocks and a waste of time honestly. I was hoping despite the lack of focus, the last 2 episodes would be able to stick the landing anyway, but boy was I wrong. The finale was extremely rushed. And after the extremely emotional death of Gambit in the first season, and the threatening rise of Apocalypse being set up at the beginning of season 2, I was expecting a better payoff to both of these. But instead we got a very rushed Gambit return, and don’t even get me started on the horribly cheesy way Apocalypse was easily defeated after all the intense build up. It felt like I waited all this time for a cheap resolve to both of these story arcs. Moving on, I really felt like I hardly spent any time with the X-Men this season. I think back to all that Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, etc. did this season, and I realize that most of them were sidelined. And even characters who got their own focus episodes such as Polaris and Wolverine were completely sidelined outside of those episodes to the point where it felt like those focus episodes really didn’t mean anything in the long run. For example, Morph and Wolverine’s friendship was heavily tested in Wolverine’s focus episode, but after that episode I don’t recall them interacting again outside of in the background. Pros: I mostly only enjoyed the first half of season 2 over the latter half. I thought the first half had the best version of Apocalypse that has ever been on screen. He was extremely menacing, and his dialogue was just perfection. I especially love the scene where he kills Magneto then immediately moves to crush Professor X with his foot only to pull a cold 180 and tell him, “only a coward feels mighty when stepping on ants.” I also loved getting to see X-Factor this season. However, I felt like we barely got to spend any time with them. For example, I would love to see Cyclops and Havok finally acknowledge that they are brothers rather than just a throwaway line from Jubilee telling Havok he’s a Cyclops ripoff as the only acknowledgement of this fact. I feel the same way about the inclusion of X-Force this season. I loved seeing them, but I would have liked to have spent more time with them. Maybe introducing both X-Factor and X-Force within the same season wasn’t the best choice. I also enjoyed the formation of X-Corp this season. However, we never got to see the team go on any missions prior to the finale which left much to be desired. I would have liked to see how X-Corp operated in comparison to the original U.S. based X-Men team. Finally, I did enjoy Wolverine and Polaris’s focus episodes. However, it was messed up that they were both sidelined after their focus episodes to the point that they both felt like afterthoughts for the rest of the season which was really disappointing. For example, why tease us with a Polaris and Bishop romance only to barely show them together after Polaris’s focus episode. The most we got from them was a glimpse of them having a picnic date in the finale. That did not feel like a worthy payoff at all.

Cons: Literally none come to mind. Pros: This show is hilarious and emotional. It is perfect for both kids and adults alike. You will definitely relate to some characters more than others, but that is the beauty of this show in how all the characters' lives, struggles, and personalities mesh together towards a common goal. I came into this show with low expectations but then came out of it absolutely delighted and pleasantly surprised. This show is some of the best content PIXAR has put out recently. It was a fun ride, and, I'll admit, I hope they consider making a season 2 because there is plenty more that could be explored in the world of Win or Lose.

Cons: It could have had a few more jump scares and should have leaned a little more into its horror aspects. Pros: The main protagonist Jack Russell was very likable, and I liked his relationship with Ted (Man-Thing) and his blooming friendship/partnership with Elsa. The music and the fact that it was in black and white fit the mood/tone of the movie so well. I also loved the sound effects and gory special effects. It is a simple story full of heart set in a transylvania-esque background.

Cons: The wedding episodes are so boring. It's literally the finale episode that the show is leading up to, and I tend to just fast forward to whether both the bride and groom say yes or no. I don't really care about what the families have to say at that point or what the bride or groom has to say because they usually just act like they are going to say yes and say all these great things about their possible future spouse just to pull a 360 at the alter and say no (which I guess is the point, to make things unpredictable, but it makes things so ungenuine and sheds a bad light on the cast). Pros: I love the pod episodes and watching the people slowly fall in love and to hear their takes on life and social issues. I also love the drama of whenever some of the cast are stuck in a love triangle in the pods. The episodes where they have the cast reunite at bars are so interesting, and the cast reunions at the end of the seasons are so deliciously intense and full of drama with the contestant's true colors showing through.
