Flight of the Phoenix

An excellent job of retaining key elements of the original plot but have created a whole new set of characters that gives the film an entirely contemporary feel.

Ends up feeling like the sort of leisurely man's-man adventure movie you used to be able to catch on Sunday afternoon TV.

This Phoenix screams hack job.

It's a shame that no one involved with Flight of the Phoenix knew what a hit phenomenon "Lost" would be, or else they might have taken greater care in developing the challenges this crew would face.

While it certainly looks swell thanks to director John Moore's striking visuals, the wings of this rebuilt "Phoenix" have been clipped by generic scripting and a short supply of dramatic tension.

The countdown begins with the first negative integer — an amped-up score that overpowers the proceedings like a bad band at a high-school dance.

A moth-eaten stranded-in-the-desert yarn that throws in every cheap trick in the manual to pump up your heartbeat, is so manipulative that the involuntary jolts of adrenaline it produces make you feel like a fool.

It had good acting performances, an interesting story, great acting performances and it was entertaining. As a remake, it was far from being a bad movie.

Fun movie with an unusual premise. I appreciated that the sole female character was not simply included to give an opportunity for **** threats (of which there are none in the film), but was actually a member of the group.

"The Flight of the Phoenix" , was a little interesting , so better to be the plot has been good, but do not rule out the reluctance of the movie, but it is the fact.
