Death Wish is easily the second best “Death Wish” movie ever made, and not a distant second.

Great movie with Bruce Willis. Showing how good people in society are constantly hurt by criminals. He breaks and becomes a vigilante dispensing his own justice.

A wishy-washy exploitation movie, which doesn’t show any real verve until the climax.

Preying on a hurting city might be forgiven if the movie was any good. But Willis, who was once a formidable action star, is performing “Die Hard With an Ambien” as he exhibits zero emotion and mutters under his breath like an accountant who’s upset with his boss.

Death Wish takes the serious topic of vigilante violence and reduces it to melodramatic hero worship, and it’s not even particularly good at that. The action is forgettable and the plot barely holds together.

A pound-store Tarantino with the sadism dialled up and the wit switched off, Roth has the very basics of a stomach-clenching suspense sequence down pat. It’s just that the film never provides any rationale for why you’d want to submit to it.

At a time when Americans are constantly bombarded with reports of unpunished police brutality, the film suggests that the true problem with justice in our country is that law enforcement isn't violent enough.

This movie delivers what is promised, nothing more, nothing less. A great return for the revenge genre. Bad reviews are due to the crybabies that inhabit the larger media space. Who would have guessed that in 2018 a man with a solid traditional family unit meting out justice would be so offensive

When you know Eli Roth is behind a movie, especially one like Death Wish, you expect a festival of blood, brutality, and chaos. However, this modern version of the Charles Bronson classic falls somewhere in the middle: there are violent moments, sure, but it feels like Roth held back more than expected, maybe to avoid stirring too much **** story is very straightforward, as you'd imagine. Bruce Willis plays a surgeon who, after a family tragedy, decides to take justice into his own hands. No surprises, no particularly clever twists... but the movie doesn't get boring. In fact, it flies by. The pacing is good, and while the script could have made better use of its premise (or gone full savage), it manages to entertain without feeling heavy. That said, it's still a bit of a controversial product. Some will see it as a dangerous glorification of guns and vigilante justice, something that feels a bit off these days. And, of course, don’t expect Bruce Willis at his best: he shows up, shoots the bad guys with his usual deadpan look, and that's about **** short, the 2018 Death Wish works as quick entertainment but could have been so much more. A remake that aims for brutality but ends up being just a blank shot.

O filme é bom pela história, mas as atuações são fracas...Bruce Willis já não é o mesmo de antigamente..

Charles Bronson was much better in this role and the original was a better movie. Willis seems to sleepwalk through his role as the movie takes a long time to get up to steam. At times it will struggle to hold your attention. Dr. Kersey just isn't a believable or consistent character in this film. And Willis is not believable in the role. It's not a good fit to the concept to change Kersey's job to medical surgeon. It adds nothing to the story. I think this re-make could have been much better with better direction and a better script. Willis is practically stone-faced in the role. His expression never changes.

A bland action film that is easily forgettable. Eli Roth has proven to be one of the worst directors in Hollywood and while it can't get much worse than Green Inferno, he brings nothing new to the genre. Then comes Bruce Willis who is physically there but mentally he's a million miles away. Overall a pointless remake, a high 3. D+
