Clean

A fitting tribute to a life well lived in spite of the overwhelming odds stacked against her, it is surely a sign of a remarkable woman that we are left wanting more.

This movie loves big, operatic gestures. At least visually, it lands them all.

While its plot is strictly by the numbers, Clean is elevated by its stylistic flair and propulsive pace.

Clean has some real craft, but doesn’t quite satisfy as it toggles between bloodbaths and bathos.

The film is heavy-handed in its attempt to be subtle and even Brody’s score can’t save the day, but Clean has its moments.

Again, merely watching Brody engaging in such painstaking work is interesting; the generic bloodbath that ensues, less so.

Clean is irrefutably, deliciously bad. But there is something unironically beautiful about movies that are just plain awful, movies that dare to provoke your senses at all instead of simply sating them with something pleasant and “competent enough.”

Rated a B movie, Brody b rings complexity to the movie as he struggles with his past. It's good enough to watch if you're a fan of Brody.

It had a good premise, but all in all the outcome and the ending seemed quite simple and nothing special.

Fascinating experiment where Brody is role playing an African American New Yorker , ultimately a bit too much though. He should stick with the Anderson Indie sortof movies and leave this to , for example , Robert Pattinson. Patto was unironically beter in almost the same role in that weird action film of the Sadie bros .

(Mauro Lanari) The graffito "Hell on Earth" and the few scenes shot in the church give hope that Solet and Brody, also screenwriter and producer, aspire to explore territories dear to the 1st Ferrara, instead they stop much further back, blocking at the level of a revenge movie and lengthening an overcrowded queue.
