He looks and moves like Batman straight out of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. · Visuals & Cinematography: Larry Fong's cinematography is stunning. Every frame is painterly – from the desolate, sun-bleached desert sequences to the rain-soaked, gothic Gotham rooftops. Zack Snyder's visual flair is undeniable, and the film is a feast for the eyes, especially in IMAX. · Hans Zimmer & Junkie XL's Score: The soundtrack is thunderous and unforgettable. The Batman motif – a pounding, relentless cello and drum combination – is bone-chilling and perfectly captures his primal rage. Wonder Woman's electric-cello theme is equally iconic. · Wonder Woman's Arrival: Gal Gadot's brief appearance as Wonder Woman in the third act is an electric burst of color, hope, and badassery. Her entrance during the Doomsday fight is a genuine highlight and the only moment where the film truly feels "fun." · Thematic Ambition: The film genuinely attempts to grapple with weighty ideas: the political implications **** alien, the morality of vigilantism, and the dangerous nature of unchecked power. It asks questions that most superhero films are too scared to even approach. --- Weaknesses: · Overstuffed & Convoluted Plot: The film tries to cram far too much into its runtime. It's not just Batman vs. Superman; it's also a political thriller (Lex's machinations), a disaster movie (the destruction of Metropolis), a cameo-fest (Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg), and a setup for Justice League. The narrative feels disjointed, jumping between subplots without giving any of them enough breathing room. The theatrical cut is particularly guilty of this (the Ultimate Edition fares slightly better). · Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor: This is a casting choice that baffled many. Eisenberg plays Luthor as a hyperactive, twitchy, cackling hipster-tech-bro, complete with jarring vocal tics and awkward social mannerisms. He lacks the intimidating, calculating gravitas that the character demands. His plan is also needlessly convoluted – relying on "Martha" and "Mother" clues – which makes him more irritating than threatening. · The "Martha" Moment: This single scene has become legendary for all the wrong reasons. Batman's sudden change of heart upon hearing Superman say "Save Martha" is emotionally unearned and logically flimsy. It reduces their ideological conflict to a coincidence of shared mother-names, deflating the tension that the entire film had been building toward. It's a good idea executed poorly. · Snyder's Tone – Relentless Grimness: The film is so dark, dour, and self-serious that it becomes exhausting. There's almost no levity, no warmth, no joy. Characters brood, whisper, and stare stoically into the distance for nearly three hours. It mistakes "darkness" for "depth" and "cynicism" for "maturity." · Doomsday as a Third-Act Villain: The introduction of Doomsday feels rushed, random, and purely designed to force Batman and Superman to fight together. The Best Super Heros Film Ever ! Henry Cavill is the best actor for the Superman !

Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice the Snyder cut was a really good movie and it show scenes that we never got to see in the theater version that they took out some scenes from the Snyder cut to make the movie not long in theaters by it did not please the fans who prefer the Snyder cut then theater version because fans like the Snyder cut more because it has scenes that lean up to the next movie which was justice league because at the end of the movie you see a little hint of the main villain of justice league before the movie came out in 2017 and Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice has a plot where you see Batman and Superman fighting each other and you see Batman Beat Superman using kryptonite to waking him and see you wonder woman in the movie and you don't know it's her till you see her suit when she comes to help Batman and Superman with Doomsday and you see Batman realize that they need the kryptonite spear to destroy doomsday and you see Lois going into the water to get the spear after she threw it and the ending of Batman v Superman dawn of Justice where you see Superman getting the spear and he puts in doomsday heart and doomsday regenerate his arm after wonder woman cut it off and Doomsday uses it to get Superman in the chest which causes superman to jab the spear far into Doomsday which causes a giant beam of kryptonite coming down killing Doomsday and killing Superman with him and later you see a funeral for Superman and you see Batman wonder woman Lois Martha all there and right before the credits you see Superman casting wear a pile of dirt rising up hinting Superman is alive but you don't see that in the justice league 2017

Batman v Superman Ultimate is an amazing comic book film it has some of the best onscreen scenes for most of the character involved

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Was a really good movie but it was not good than the ultimate edition because they cut out so many scenes from the movie that made it more like rated R but they cut out all the scenes to make it PG-13 for theaters to play the movie but I think that did not go with the fans of the DC comics

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice starts quite well, but after 30 minutes it becomes very messy. First of all, I hate the idea of my favourite superhero (Batman) fighting the kind of perfect hero (Superman). Therefore I thought I would hate this film. So I was very surprised when a little time passed and I still liked it. But after that it's a constant downhill. Batman is presented to be stupid. Superman too, but his side was more understandable for me. The story is convoluted, there are too many plot lines and characters. I was always wondering why they cut to Wonder Woman so much. She only had a few things to do in the end. By the end the whole thing was just stupid. Although there was one huge surprise in the end. I appreciate Zack Snyder for staying with film instead of digital. I somewhat like the cinematography. The quiet moments are quite beautiful. On the other hand the editing is just bad. I felt like they cut some scenes that should've been there (I know about the ultimate edition) and some of Diane's scenes or reactions are completely unnecessary. The visual effects looked a lot better than in Man of Steel, but still too much CGI. The casting is great. Jesse Eisenberg is my first Lex so I can't compare him to anyone and I didn't dislike his performance at all. Gal Gadot gave one of her less outrageous performances and the two stars are obviusly amazing. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an idea I thought I would dislike and by the end that definitely became true.

Ultimate extended edition fixes some problems, while not developing much the plot or character motivations

Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck have similar legacies in the superhero drama. In the DCEU, they both played their respective characters really, really well, just in bad films for the most part. Made to try and play catch up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, BvS should have been so much more. Again, it's too damn dark and gritty, something I believe Snyder never quite figured out. The theatrical release had major plot points cut out of it just to save half an hour, so if you do watch this please watch the Ultimate Edition.

This movie has the DC stamp that sets it apart from Marvel. Marvel is for kids—humor, comedy, fantasy without seriousness. Batman v Superman is an incredible film that seriously portrays what comics would be like if adapted to something more real, more grounded—much like Nolan does with his Batman films. The criticism I've read comes from people who expect a Marvel-style film. Sorry to say, DC is the complete opposite. If you have childish tastes, go watch Spider-Man or that Avengers nonsense. This movie is for adults

Ben Affleck as batman was one of the worst choices they could've made pertaining to batman. I am a big batman fan and Henry cavill turned me into a big superman fan now but this rendition of batman is weak and the story line was a bit wack.love let author in this though. But seriously letting Affleck take down the movie and the batman character is a tough hit to my heart.really ruined it for my kids as **** they are comic nerds. So across the ages this was a flop it seems

This movie has very bad pacing with a boring dialogue that leads to many people already losing interest prior to the third act of the film. This leads to the story not only taking too long to build but ultimately leading to a lack luster final fight and finale.

Olsen, as a dramatic introduction and end of it, followed by the Clark cover up story, that barely show's himself to the media, making infinite more sense than before (comics, movies, etc)Batman's introduction was the BEST in decades, followed only by Wayne's character .Action scenes: 100%, ****, CGI : pure, and perfectMusic: the intro music still in my **** Batman v Superman Masterpiece.

This is a huge scam. The two superheroes fight against each other for like 5 minutes. Very poorly written story, laughable characters and a lot of time-wasting. The "other fight" is definitely the worst though, it's soo out of place. I regret watching it, there's nothing good I can say. Do not watch it!

I will NEVER understand how Zack Snyder has fostered such as dedicated following when movies like this exist. None of the character's motives make sense, the dialogue is atrocious and the "Martha" scene is up there for one of the worst scenes in CBM history. Henry Cavill (who is a fine actor might I add) embodies more of Superman's qualities when he's just being himself and not playing him, this is more the fault of the direction and writing rather than the actor. The team behind this movie simply do not understand who these characters are. Jesse Eisenberg is so poorly miscast as Lex Luthor, I cannot take him seriously in the slightest. Overall one of the worst superhero movies you could possibly see, I cannot fathom how the this movie has garnered "generally favorable" reviews from users, it is one of the most thoroughly unenjoyable superhero films I've had the misfortune of watching, I certainly will never be doing it again.

This movie is an excellent combination of two of the best comicbooks ever written. Some say the story is too dark,I would say the comics that the movie is based on, is just as dark if not more so. One of the most epic comic book movie ever made. It is emotional, exciting and the story is excellently crafted. The music isa character of it's own and plays so well to show thegrandure of the events andcharacters. finally the visuals are jaw droppingly good!!!

I enjoyed this movie the first time I watched it; but the more sit with it, the less I like it. The story is undercooked, the characters are shallow, and they absolutely waste one of the best villains.

The idea of a film approaching a conflict between Batman and Superman had everything to make an excellent film, both in the visual aspects and in the emotions of the spectators. But Zack Snyder's film is unfortunately unsatisfying. The visual effects aren't awful, but it's strange to think that a film with a budget of $250 million dollars is not capable of delivering a great visual result. Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Ben Affleck do what they can with their charisma to make up for the thankless script. Jesse Eisenberg unfortunately seems to deliver the worst performance of his career, with an exaggerated interpretation of Lex Luthor - something even surprising considering that the actor usually stands out for his restrained style and few gestures. Even the score by Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL seems uninspired.

One my best comicbook movie and the cast was perfect and the cutscenes was awesome

The Movie is an outright mess they tried to do too much at once and it forces some of the greatest comic book stories DC has into this amalgamation that just doesn't work in any way because someone decided to try and speed ahead the plot of the universe to try and catch up to Marvel and the MCU here is what this movie tries to do in 2 hours and 31-minute long movie there is, of course, The Dark Knight Returns but there is also The Death of Superman and it tries to do both of these Stories while introducing Wonder Woman, Batman, and Lex Luthor as characters in the DCEU while setting up the Justice League Movie but also doing dream sequences setting up what I think was an Injustice Movie and again it tries to do all this in the span of 2 hours and 31 minutes that is about the same length as Man of Steel which was 2 hours and 23 minutes for an example of how little time that actually is and Lex Luthor was a huge miscast as well feeling more like the Joker or Riddler both in his appearance and personality then Lex Luthor but despite all that, It has some absolutely stunning scenes to look at and some of the best superhero costume designs ever used in a superhero movie but those just make this movie an even bigger disappointment because it could have been one of the best superhero movies ever made but instead we are stuck with a huge messy disaster

7.5/10 This review comes from the person who never watch the theatrical version of the movie, and watch the Ultimate Edition instead, even with that i think Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice was a very big, huge, and wide complete film, it is one of the most darkest Superhero movie i've seen, not even The Dark Knight trilogy, but the difference between those two are that The Dark Knight trilogy while it still has it humor, the rest of the film was still execute way better than this, BVS was still very flawed, mostly from the runtime that are felt, Jesse Eisenberg horrible performance, and too long sequences, i'm pretty sure with the extended version, the consistency and the situation of the story was better even without watching the theatrical version, the in depth between two main characters was superb, the performance by all the cast especially Henry Cavill and Amy Adams performance that are way better than Man Of Steel, didn't have a problem with them, and of course Ben Affleck as both Batman and Bruce Wayne was great, and god i wish Lex Luthor played by another actor, it's too bad, the action sequence was good enough, overall BVS still not as amazing as what Marvel have been coming out at that time even The Ultimate Edition, it still a pretty good movie, and it's still an achievement of Superhero comics to get this movie happening just like The Avengers, flawed but respectful.

One of the worst DC movies ever made. This movie is not only terribly written and incoherent, but it's not remotely true to the DC comics. That is NOT an accurate iteration of Batman or Lex Luthor. And the Doomsday storyline is completely forced and had terrible CGI. Scenes don't flow and just randomly jump from one thing to another.

Arguably the best superhero movie in history, and I mean the extended version, those who haven't read comics probably won't understand it, ignorance is the root of evil, the director's love is evident, he tried to give something not so commercial but neither deep to the point of being difficult to understand, it is simply a masterpiece and a love letter to the characters as well as to the public.

Mediocre and boring fantasy movie made in 2016. They extended the deadline. They gave the title of the movie to a 5-minute fight. While watching the movie, I wished he was the Joker and killed them both by hitting each other. It's one of the few movies I've ever been bored with. When it comes to his subject, Batman, who thinks he is the provider of justice on earth, sticks his nose in Metropolis and Superman is the setting for it. Over time, they hate each other more and more. Then they trump cards in a fight cage organized by business Lex Luthor. Do not think that one of the two will stay. Totally false. It's not versus, or it could be Lex Luthor vs Superman, Batman, Diana. There is no sex or nudity in the movie. If you have that much patience, it can be watched as a family. But I think it's a complete disappointment.

From beginning to end, the plot is engaging. It's wonderful to see the results of one's actions. The movie looks fantastic. The cast is outstanding. The pace of the film is where I find it lacking. Additionally, the movie collapses under the weight of its various plot lines. The majority of the issues are resolved in the Ultimate Edition, but some remain. Note: Ultimate Edition 3hr 2m

BvS has problems with its weakly developed romance between Clark and Lois, but overall is an actually GREAT film with original ideas, unique directorial solutions, gorgeous cinematography, top-tier production values & score (by Zimmer and Junkie XL). Not to mention introducing the greatest Batman / Bruce Wayne of all time... The BatFleck.

One of the best superhero movies I've seen in quite sometime now. Action packed, along with good actors and actresses. Just an overall great movie!

On paper this movie has everything you need including Batman and Superman fighting. Doomsday as final boss and even wonder women is in this movie too. Unfortunately the movie dint come together as a whole.
