Chaosbane levels are all made from a small variety of large “building blocks”, so when you’re sent to clean out another sewer of monsters – it’ll look just like every previous sewer you’ve cleaned so far. Boring and uninspired. [Issue#239, p.68]

Chaosbane is a competent action rpg that fails to compare to the best games of the genre but provides some good time bashing Warhammer branded monsters in an infinite mesmerizing loop that, in the end, is way too repetitive.

An interesting Diablo clone based in the universe of Warhammer. Really fun if played with other players in coop mode (local and online), but too predictable playing alone.

Statt in Stärke, Geschicklichkeit etc.

It's a great game, I could say that the lore is immense, the gameplay is very calm and easy to play with a controller for the feedback system for direct actions on the controller, the universe seems a little familiar as there are already games in this style like Starcraft, but the The setting is perfect and everything is finely tuned for a smooth, high-progression hackslash. I can say that in gameplay it surpasses Diablo and with a complete end game and a season-like season system. negative point is not as well known as it should be, especially in Brazil

A fine little ARPG in the Warhammer universe. It's not going to take the place of a Diablo or Grim Dawn, but it still has its moments and enjoyable for fans of the genre.

If you like dungeon crawlers or Warhammer in general, you should definitely pick this up – especially if you don't have a phone. Be sure to check out the full review above for an exciting look at Warhammer: Chaosbane, which should absolutely be on your radar when it comes to Game of the Year considerations later in 2019.

Another amazing ARPG being the victim of the toxic ARPG consumers. If this isn't like my favorite ARPG or too much like this one than it's bad. I think 95 percent of the negative reviews are people that never touched the game or played more than an hour. The combat is fantastic and what are you talking about the that progression is limited did you look at the god trees or the tonsssss of abilities you can pick and unlock. What ARPG has had an amazing end game from the start the answer is zero. I love this game and all my friends do as well because we not more thrilled with being negative and toxic like a lot of the Steam community.

Warhammer Chaosbane walks in the footsteps of Diablo, but fails to match it's master because of the repetitive environments, it's shot lifetime and an extremely limited endgame content.

The mission design and story can grate at times, but this is a devilishly fun homage to Diablo 3 and Warhammer Fantasy you’ll want to get your friends in on.

The artwork at the beginning of each act is beautifully drawn. The music is also quite powerful and foreboding as it sets the mood for the game.

Thanks to its simple formula, Warhammer: Chaosbane is an easy-to-play hack’n’slash, but it really lacks some more variety. This game is not aimed at the big lootheads but to a more casual audience, and it shows.

In Warhammer: Chaosbane, there is only dull combat. Use two or three favorite abilities to kill hordes of same-looking enemies, marvel at bad animations and identical corridors, and try not to lose your mind. Even cooperative mode, which usually makes everything better, is a boring chore.

Game is looking good and respect the Warhammer universe. Story is a bit dull but in this kiind of game, the story is not what you're here for. It has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see what's coming in post-launch with new endgame modes and Tomb Kings dlc.

Game is actually pretty fun. Yes, it is repetetive, but Grim Dawn is also. Graphics are beautiful and the skilltrees are super powerful. I think, this game is underrated.

It is fun at times, but also annoying and there are many, many bugs. And some will probably make you redo missions four times or more. AND every chapter 1 map looks like the same, every chapter 2 map looks also like the all other chapter 2 maps, every chapter 3 map looks also like the other chapter 3 maps, only the boss fight area is different. We was allways happy, when we finished a chapter to see a other map and same new enemys.

Skip Choasbane and play 40K Inquisiton Martyr, a much better Bad Arse game. Not only is the gameplay dull after the first initial enjoyment of using skills for the first time , but the whole game feels unbalanced and unready. My biggest issues is the voices, there was so many annoying player callouts , bad acting and bugs in the voice audio, it was a joke. In the first 5 hours of exploring this game I heard my characters voice change from female to male 4 times on 2 different characters, (What the !?!?! is that). The battle noises and callouts of the Dwarf and Elf are so annoying I had to turn voices volume down, but even that doesn't kill all the irritating laughs and stuff. The sound is a constant assault on your senses and it hard to like much with this constant irritation. It doesn't help that the female character look like the single mum with 5 kids smoking a ciggy outside your local pub of a tuesday, yeh there's no femme fatales or sexy badass warriors in this game, just annoying uggos. The leveling is terrible , it's just so limiting. First your limited by skills being locked , then by not having anywhere near enough points, then by boredom. You don't sell your gear, you just give it away, removing (trading) one of my favorite part of most ARPGS i've played. Its a buggy undercooked bore fest . Get Inquisition Martyr, a good game. One good thing is the graphics and performance, game world looks great an is 60 frames, but the reuse the same 3 environment 3 or 4 times each in the campaign, making that less of a win.

No merchants, lack of loot diversity, no variety in weapons, no NPCs, no side quests, generic enemies lacking in diversity and a bad skill system make for an extremely ho-hum game that highlights the developers indie-game experience.
SummaryIn a world ravaged by war and dominated by magic, you must rise up to face the Chaos hordes. Playing solo or with up to four players in local or online co-op, choose a hero from four character classes and prepare for epic battles wielding some of the most powerful artefacts of the Old World.
