The game is so painfully inconsistent. Half of the punches you throw wont even land no matter how close you are most of the time. You could be winning the entire match, not getting hit once, and all itll take is 2 hits; The game ****.

Guys. I can’t play just because fu….g text is so small I can’t read even on my huge tv. I don’t understand how you can play like this. Did you try actually? Career mode I can’t read nothing at all. I mean I can, but for money you want I don’t want even try read this ant text in your game. I’ll change my opinion if you make holy text bigger in the game pls. Because as I see you don’t have any concurrency so you can make it more better in future. Look at UFC 5. They make so bad garbage pies of s….., even people buy this for money they want because we don’t have choice. Guys please. Boxing is so rich sport and you can make better I believe. Please bigger text. Please. Am sure you loose so much point only because of this.

don't know what all the negative reviews are for I love the game and yes I have played fight night and many other boxing games. its a relief to have a game other than rogue likes and souls likes finally and I do like the fact that you don't have to play stupid minigames in between fighing although there could be more minigames and it wouldn't hurt the only thing i don't really like is the getting up mechanic when u get knocked out but only because I have such a big tv that I can't see the bars at the same time

One of the worst games I've ever played. I only downloaded it for career mode. Even though I set my punch speed to 95, all my punches feel like they're in slow motion. Even though I set my stamina to 98, stamina recovery to 93, and played defensively just to avoid running out of stamina, my stamina runs out in 2 rounds. My 70 OVR opponent has nearly 100% stamina left by the 10th round. Even if you land five powerful punches to the opponent's head, you can get knocked down with just one or two combos. Even though your punches go through your opponent's head, they're not registered as hits, and you get knocked down with a small counterattack. I'm ashamed of myself for playing this game for 12 hours hoping it might improve as my character develops. Don't make the mistake of downloading it.

If I could give a lower score then 0 I would. I got this game with PlayStation plus for free and im mad for even wasting my time downloading it I can’t even imagine people who paid 60$+ for this garbage. The game lacks everything that you look for in a boxing game. **** has better quality.

Being a Fight Night fan, I was looking forward to trying this with PS+. I was curious as to why on the PS Store and other places this had atrocious user reviews and after a few hours I can see why. Career mode is embarrassingly low effort, no mini-games or anything, just textboxes and the fights. The gameplay is clunky and unsatisfying, making you feel like you’re fighting underwater, and after a few hours I just couldn’t be bothered anymore. I feel bad for anyone who got bamboozled into paying $50 for this. The fact the Fight Night games from 20 years ago destroy this game in every aspect is shameful.

As of February 2026, as this is on PS+ for the month, it is still in a horrible state. Apparently the game used to feel pretty good to play, but a change to punch magnetism (that the devs don't want to walk back on) really kills any chance this game has of being anything more than a complete disappointment. The roster is not good enough. Just, at all. There are far too boxers, and the ones that are here don't stand out from eachother whatsoever. It's a shame, having kept an eye on this for the last few years, that it's in such a bad spot. With any luck, the devs will listen to people and fix the major issues with the BASIC mechanics of a BOXING game (the PUNCHING), but otherwise this'll likely be another spot filler in your PS+ catalog to be forgotten quickly. Unfortunately it's barely with the subscription download, and it's most definitely not worth your hard earned money.

It's the worst game possible even when my punches connect they are doing no damage , and they took one of my favorite boxers ( Joe Frazier) and made him the worst fighter missing most of his punches because of his smaller size so if someone is a taller boxer he connects ****

First of all, the game's hitting sensation is excellent. Every punch you throw feels very solid. This game feels like the best combat sport I've ever played. The graphics and character models are extremely good and make it feel completely new generation. The game's mechanics are simulation-oriented and realistic. Another big plus of the game is that the fighters feel different from each other. Many boxers have been motion-captured. This game is a must-have for those who want to play realistic(simulation base) and new generation boxing.

This game was actually very good when it was first released on consoles and just needed some refinements to blocking to prevent power spammers. But the patches have completely ruined the punch tracking. Every punch, especially jabs and straights are pulled out of range for no reason or don't register at all. Trying to land and execute a simple 1-2 combo against an unguarded opponent in range failed 8/10 because punches just go wildly off-track. And they keep releasing paid DLC while the game is in this state which is shameless and criminal.

As smooth as driving an old rusty salvaged car. Wish I would have bought this at GameStop so I could at least get my 50 bucks back for this annoying attempt at a fighting game. Every other punch is thrown twice even if the button or buttons are only pressed once ensuring my fighter runs out of gas super quickly. Not to mention all my punches conveniently miss exhausting all of my stamina while the opponent has the lungs **** shepherd. Comes off as a bad joke. No matter the difficulty mode you're pretty much a punching bag for the a.i. Was fighting Joe Frazier on the easiest difficulty and the first punch he hit me with made my face start bleeding. Ridiculous... No creative options in create a fighter mode. They make you manually level up attributes when you create a fighter taking tons of additional mind numbing time leveling strength and block levels to 100 with unlimited skill points. What is the point of this feature??? If effort was put into this creation it was certainly kept at a minimal

Such an underwhelming game for how long it took to be released. Fight night champion still has better gameplay and it came out 14 years ago. Career mode is missing so many details .commentary is repetitive soundtrack mid knockdowns mid . And the fact that one point it was $80 is INSANE . This is a $40 game at most .

This game is seriously flawed. There’s a million reasons not to buy Undisputed but only one reason you should, because you love the sport of boxiing. It’s a boxing game that doesn’t allow you to hit anyone. How they measure what punch hurts and what punch doesn’t is beyond my comprehension. They put way too much emphasis on counter punches and absolutely none on the actual skill of boxing. It’s a horrible game and at this point there’s no amount of updates that can save it. Shame though… Really was pulling for this game to be good. It’s not. At all.

At first I could give this game 6 or 7. Unfortunately, each subsequent update makes this questionable quality "work" more and more unplayable garbage. The last update did not eliminate the most annoying bug - my fist goes through the opponent's head as if through air. This crap does not even come close to FNC. DLC prices are another circus, I bought the game for 240 PLN, while the add-on with 5 players and a few pairs of "panties" costs 70 PLN, which is over 30% of the game's value. Today I turned off this game and I do not intend to turn it on until information appears on the web that it is playable again. I recommend avoiding it from afar and spending the money on ice cream or other pleasures because it is summer :)

This game could be more better actually specially career mode there is lot of lack of tiny details that needed in career without that that game felt a little dry . Overall I would say 7.4 out of 10 but I like online mode I hope there is will be soon our huge update or new game I would happily download it.

It’s pretty good for local co-op. I found everything else to be basically unplayable. The ai is terrible in career mode - their offense is terrible but some of the ai opponents block every strike you throw.Hopefully online matchmaking improves as well - it’s fun when the connection is good but most of matches have too much lag

I actually like the game because after all these years finally we have a average boxing game. But is the game good? Hmm not really. The sound effects of the game is awful. That punching and breathing is so bad. The character doesn’t look realistic but It’s the first game so Its fine on my part, I don’t expect 2K quality. My career needs so much features, the animation are always the same. The way they fall, get up It’s always the same animation so after sometime It’s just boring seeing the same stuff over and over again. Even the same ref in every game.

I was really looking forward to this game. I was patient when they announced delays after investment to improve the game. Thankfully they did because any worse than this and the game would have been terrible. This review was done after 15hrs of gameplay and nearly ready for a title shot in career mode. Online. This was so bad I have only played a few games. Expect it to be better in December after update. Offline. With career mode on offer skipping online is no problem. Build your own fighter is decent but its something I dont over use anyway. I have been enjoying career mode but also noticing many faults. From the start you notice you dont do mini games to upgrade your fighter. Im ok with this but being a Fight Night fan I sort of missed the mini games. Also after a few fights I noticed no fight history. It does have other stats but no fight history. This is a shocking omission. No excuse for not having this. It soon becomes clear as to why this may have been binned. You fight the same bloody fighter again and again. This happens as you progress through the ranks. You can only pick between 3 fighters to fight next. And they are repetitive. This took a lot of shine off career mode for me. Especially when you know how to tackle the boxer it becomes easier the next time. Im nearly at title fight time. But Im not really looking forward to it. After winning Irish title and European title there was no celebration, no belt handed to my fighter. Just a screenshot stating what I won. Very underwhelming after all the time I put it. Roster. The roster is good. Could be better but expect more to come as DLC. The only issue I have is some fighters ratings. Sorry Im not having Tyson Fury 91 and Ali 93, no effing way! There are a few too low imo. Graphics are ok. Issue with animations blurring. Very weird AI boxer movements can be annoying but dont break the game. I had fun playing this. I am still going to play it as I love boxing. But this should have had a bit more meat on it and more polish on launch.

I'm dropping my review to a zero because of how unplayable this game has become. Career mode makes your punches for now reason. Especially when they clearly hit. My fists sometimes go through the CPU's head. So career mode combined with offline are complete trash, what the hell is there to play in this game?

I don't know where to start, seems janky, no power punch penalties, it's slow, it's boring and overall not fun. As a technical boxing sim it is extremely flawed with unrealistic logic and no real genuine tactics other than cheesy spam moves. Time to go back to UFC 5.

I'm really enjoying this game. Don't get me wrong, there are issues, but as a first attempt they've done a great job.. The career mode is a little simplistic but the fighting itself is fun, with punches carrying weight. If you like boxing then give it a go

What have they be doing for the last 2 years? This game is a joke. They have been receiving feedback from fans for so long and still manage to release a game that feels like it's in beta stage. This is a shameless rip off. Don't give them money. If you have PSplus there is a fair chance that this will end up being a free monthly game. Devs like that deserve to fail and shouldn't be allowed to develop a game. This studio and these devs will never see money from me ever again.

Undisputed is a decent return to the boxing genre, after a very lengthy hiatus, offset by a few issues. A very small roster. As many mentioned, a lot of notable boxers, both past and present, are missing. As much as I'm not a fan of the new UFC games, I'll give them some credit for periodically adding new fighters via free updates, but having a solid base roster at launch. The game looks fine at times, but some models fall into that uncanny valley of realistic. Mechanics for fighting are fine for now, but they do have some quirks that need to be ironed out. Not quite the knockout for a return to boxing fans, but more like a contentious split decision that could have gone the other way. Updated December 5th. They haven't fixed the key issues of this game, and they're adding professional scam artist Jake Paul into the game. Adding Jake Paul to the game immediately drops this game to a 0/10.

Undisputed (PS5) Review: A Knockdown Disappointment Undisputed on PS5 tries to bring the sport of boxing to life but sadly falls far short of expectations. From its clunky mechanics to a lackluster career mode, the game misses the mark on nearly every front. Let’s break down why this game might not be worth your time or money.Gameplay & MechanicsAt its core, a boxing game should feel fluid and responsive, but Undisputed delivers neither. The controls feel sluggish, and the mechanics are far from intuitive. There's a noticeable lack of balance, with many online matches devolving into spam fests of power punches. This makes online play a frustrating and almost unbearable experience, as you spend more time dodging cheap tactics than engaging in strategic boxing matches. The lack of finesse in the controls is glaring, making it hard to enjoy what should have been a nuanced simulation of the sport.Roster of FightersFor a game with such a hefty price tag, one would expect a robust and diverse fighter roster, yet Undisputed offers a surprisingly slim selection of boxers. Fans of the sport will be disappointed to find many of their favorite fighters absent, and those that are available often lack the distinctive traits that make them stand out. There's no real personality in the character models, making it hard to connect with any fighter you choose.Career Mode: More of a Manager SimOne of the biggest letdowns is the career mode. Instead of offering an engaging story where you can experience the rise of a fighter, it plays out like a generic manager sim. The interface is essentially a dashboard where you manage stats and schedule fights, with no meaningful narrative or interactive elements. It’s as if you’re playing a mobile app rather than a full-fledged console game. For those looking for an immersive boxing career experience, Undisputed is a huge disappointment.Online ExperienceThe online multiplayer should be the saving grace, but instead, it’s where the game falls apart the most. As mentioned earlier, spamming power punches is rampant, and the game does little to encourage fair, tactical fighting. Matchmaking can be hit or miss, with frequent lag making the experience even worse. Combine this with the frustrating mechanics, and you’ll find yourself avoiding online matches altogether.Price vs. ValueGiven all these flaws, the game's steep price tag is hard to justify. For a game that feels unfinished and unpolished, it doesn't provide enough content or quality to warrant the cost. If it were priced like a budget title, it might be easier to overlook some of these issues, but at full price, it feels like a rip-off.Final VerdictWhile Undisputed had the potential to be a knockout, it’s clear that it’s still in the early rounds. Poor mechanics, a shallow career mode, and a limited roster, combined with frustrating online play, make this game hard to recommend, especially at its current price point. Unless significant improvements are made through updates, boxing fans are better off waiting for something better to come along.

UNDISPUTTED
The simulation is correct and realistic but there are 3 important flaws that must be fixed to go from a 5 to an 8, since the game is also not cheap at all. 1. SHORT BOXERS ROASTER The boxer roaster initially announced was 200 players, but currently there are only 70, of which almost half are irrelevant to the world of boxing, and some are even small variations of the stars in other eras or weight divisions. ALSO, THERE ARE MISSING TOP-LEVEL STARS, SUCH AS SONNY LISTON, MAYWEATHER JR, ROBERTO DURAN, MIKE TYSON, JAKE LAMOTTA, CARMEN BASILIO, FOREMAN, NASIR HAMED, EARNIE SHAVERS, PERNEL WHITAKER, THOMAS EARNS, MARVIN HAGLER, PACQUIAO, MARQUEZ, DAVID TUA, LENNOX LEWIS, THE KLITSHKO...SERIOUSLY THIS LOOKS LIKE A JOKE... 2. TYSON FURY STATS COMPLETELY DISPROPORTIONATED Tyson Fury has the longest reach in the entire game, and several advantages in his style to avoid the takedown. BUT WHAT CANNOT BE IS THAT HE HAS A HITTING POWER SIMILAR TO ROCKY MARCIANO, AND AN AGILITY ON PAR WITH MUHAMMAD ALI... I hope someone reads this comment and can reach out to the developers. Tyson Fury doesn't look like his real version, and he's practically invincible, which ruins the whole experience. 3. ONLINE MODE BROKEN The simulation is nothing like the game playing in local mode. IF THEY FIX THESE 3 THINGS, IT COULD BECOME A LEGENDARY GAME... A SHAME!!!

Very good graphics but the gameplay is clunky and delayed. It’s not smooth at all and it makes it very frustrating. It certainly doesn’t resemble how a proper fight would go. UFC 5 is awful but much smoother than this. Very disappointed to be honest

There is no excuse for having the exact same issues that it had 2 years ago. What have they been doing over there? They have progressively made it worse it's like they don't even test their patches which is insane and lazy. We all want this to succeed but at this stage it is just a scam. But I want that to change. Power punches get abused and their is no consequence for that with their stamina. Ghost punches will hit you when someone has missed you by at least a foot. They removed clinching which is crazy clinching is a part of boxing. Head movement needs to be improved. Not enough fighters feel like their real life counter parts so they must improve the individuality of each fighter so they feel like themselves. A lot of fighters are missing that I hope get added soon. To name a few Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lenox Lewis, Jack Dempsey, the Klitschko brothers, Manny Pacquiao, Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, Lester Ellis, George Kambosos, Kostya Tszyu, Tim Tszyu and more. I'll add it's so weak and stupid to remove Ryan Garcia from the game, don't get involved in politics Steel City Interactive. Fighters are wild people that say crazy **** know the business that you're involved in. He's even apologized too but it shouldn't matter if he has or hasn't apologized he is a fighter. That's a part of why we love fighting because it's wild and crazy. He clarified he was trolling it just shows how dumb the WBC is and Steel City Interactive that they actually took that seriously. Anybody with half a brain that knows Ryan's character knows he was messing around and wasn't being serious. So finally they have a lot of work to do they need to actually test their patches instead of lazily throwing patches out their crossing their fingers hoping that it worked.

Great game that is ruined by "Simulation" Simulation is the death of fun in gaming. It's okay to have some elements of simulation in gaming but don't make it the whole experience. Wrestling and the UFC games got ruined by Full Simulation and so did the NBA Games. Why were those games (WWE, UFC, NBA etc) more fun back in the day? Because of the semi-arcady elements that made it a Video Game that was fun to play. This game is just not fun to play unless you're spamming the cheap power shots. The hit boxes are broken. You can clearly see a shot hit your opponent but somehow it whiffs and makes the regular punches feel powerless. The slip controls are weird because of the R3+direcion button. There is input delay. The stamina doesn't work the same for you and the Ai, the Ai can miss a bunch of their punches and regain their stamina in the next round. Power shots sometimes go through your full block because of their "angles" I wish I could refund the game but unfortunately PlayStation won't allow it. Games shouldn't try to simulate real life as it reduces the room for fun to be had. You can add a "Simulation Mode" like COD Games add "Hardcode Mode" but that's just my opinion. The only positive is the graphics but that's not something that impresses me anymore. It's 2024 and good graphics are the bare minimum at this point. This isn't a bad game in my opinion, it's just being held back by so many things. Just make fun games and stop trying to simulate everything.

I played this from the very beginning PC early access and now PS5. Yes it needs work as do most new releases but this is so far removed from the early access game. Punches feel much hard impacts are now great, animations are smooth and above all its FUN!! Its not for the button bashers its a proper simulation. Online needs some work as it can be a bit glitchy but based on how responsive the Devs have been though out the development of this game I am certain they will be working on a patch right now. I'm giving this a 10 because I know how far its come and how hard the team worked to get a boxing game out. Maybe its not a 10 yet but I'm sure it will be after a few patches.

The PS5 version of undisputed is in an even worse state than the PC version of the game while obviously still having all of the same core gameplay issues that have been unchanged for the last two years of early access with the exception of two mechanics. Please save your money until they seem like they genuinely care about fixing the game and delivering the product they once promised fans. Nearly every fighter that isn’t Roy jones, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier or Canelo Alvarez all feel like reskins of each other and that includes Terence Crawford, sugar ray Leonard, sugar ray Robinson, etc.. the whole roster basically. It’s also insane that some of the present issues with the game made it through play testing which had gone on for months on end with constant feedback, it genuinely just seems like they wanted to just push this out and make a quick buck while charging for a DLC pack of fighters that also feel like reskins of fighters in the game. Caleb plant, Jaime munguia, dmitry bivol, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Jesse Rodriguez all feel like fighters you’ll find on the rest of the roster and feel almost nothing like you’d expect them to. Also the “launch trailer” is borderline false advertisement.. showcasing being able to train in gyms which you can’t, and visuals that look nothing like what you’ll see in game. Definitely do not recommend currently, but still keep an eye on the game maybe they pull off a miracle.
