I'll say this is 8/10 if forget all the bugs of the PC version (behaviour of few cars poorly encoded that gives you a handicap to complete the game). I find it to be a considerable step down to the previous title in many aspects, but it keeps it fantastic fundation, car sounds, the controls are more arcade but very enjoyable.

This game was very fun at its time, spent so much time with it. Now I see it's shortcomings: unsophisticated AI (no comparison to SimBin's GTR games), AI cars not affected by damage (as far as I remember), and long loading screens. The sheer scope of the game is commandable. And it was TOCA. It meant something back then, and Race Driver too.
Note: I doubled my review by accident while switching platforms. I didn't play the game on PS2, I played it on PC only. I apologise for my mistake, should've been more careful when posting it.

It has more game modes and racing disciplines than any game before it and it's smart enough to cater for beginners and racing nuts alike.

Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of this new game is that instead of some series being good and others (such as rallying) being very poor, the general quality level of each type of racing is very high.

This game was very fun at its time, spent so much time with it. El ultimo gran juego de la serie TOCA que luego paso a denominarse Grid, Este juego es todo lo que se puede esperar de el, mas coches, mas competición, mejoras en todos los aspectos. gran modo historia, efectos realistas en los daños y la iluminación, buen apartado estético. excelente videojuego realmente.

One of the most realistic racing games to come out for the PS2. It has so many race types that sometimes you don't know what to choose. The graphics and physics are very good for a six year old game.

the best of the series for PS2, some races you just stress out because they are difficult but others are too easy in the most the game is well done and has a destruction above normal which is amazing for2006
