Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec

YOU MUST GET GT3! Your life depends on it!

I cannot say that I have ever played a driving game that has challenged me and given me more feelings of reward for my hard-earned efforts than "Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec."

It's been a long time since I've given such high scores across the board to any game; then again, it's been a long time since any game I've reviewed so richly deserved it!

A masterpiece.

Every fan of racing will find something to love in GT3, and purists will find a veritable Mecca of cars, tracks, and realism.

The AI, for one thing, needs some work. The computer drive cars don’t have any personality meaning that they follow a specific path and just bump their way around. It’s like watching the guys in the movie "Swingers" driving, but at a higher speed and a little more violent.

By far the most crafted and exceptional driving game around, but something or even anything new wouldn't go amiss.

Greatest Racing Game of all time. Vehicles, Tracks, Design, Ambience, a Refined piece. This is the quality over quantity that embeds the concept in your mind.

A good game, in 2026 it still has good graphics for being such an old game but needs more events for getting considered a very good game of the saga

I do really like this game and it is a ginormous upgrade over gt2 but its really nothing to throw a party about. its heavily overshadowed by gt4.

Graphiquement décevant (le célèbre scintillement et l'aliasing de fou, spécialités de la PS3) un contenu bien chétif -pour ne pas dire sabré- par rapport à GT2 et un comportement routier qui stagne, des sons qui n'évoluent pas... Certes, toujours pas de concurrence digne de ce nom à l'horizon (et à son époque) mais ce n'est pas une raison pour se reposer sur ses lauriers comme ça ! Créateur du genre, Polyphony délivre une suite qui se laisse jouer mais qui ne convainc plus vraiment au fil des heures : une **** froide incompréhensible.

I can't wrap my head around that this game has a 95 on Metacritic. Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is just plain overrated. The visuals, car designs, and soundtrack are really good, but that's all. The controls are awkward and sluggish. When you move left (or right), you are locked in moving left until you move right. You try it for yourself and see how it is. But I must be seeing things because I think I'm the only one who's mentioned this. You might say that I need a better car (since I just started playing), but that right there is another problem. Any drivingracing game should never be that dependent on the car selection. That is a life lesson on racing games.
