Sephiroth, for me, is another great addition to the Smash cast. [Issue #51 – March/April 2021, p. 34]

Although a big target, Sephiroth is a lighter character than expected and when facing him that can be exploited. This, along with the delay following a lot of his moves are the main ways to defeat the One-Winged Angel himself. When playing as him, he's a fun and powerful character who can dole out dangerous attacks from a distance and has a lot of combo potential. The other elements of the DLC have drastically improved the last time we saw Final Fantasy VII represented in the game and even though the stage is a bit dull, this Challenger Pack was a pleasant surprise that will bring us all as much happiness as Sephiroth will likely bring despair to the Super Smash Bros roster.

Sephiroth was personally my most requested character. I was blown away when I saw the reveal trailer, and honestly, he did not disappoint. He is actually my main character, he is very fun to play, and the stage is pretty cool. Final Rating: "Great" ~ 8/10.

The fan-favourite Final Fantasy VII villain Sephiroth comes to Smash as part of Challenger Pack 8. He's fun to play and is unique enough (as well as being surprisingly light). The stage he comes with is lacking outside of aesthetics though. Nine Final Fantasy music tracks are included, as well as several Final Fantasy spirits. Overall a great pack worth the asking price, though the Joker, Banjo & Kazooie, and Terry packs remain superior.
