Aesthetically, Banjo and Kazooie’s appearance in Smash Bros. Ultimate is perfect. From a gameplay perspective, however, they’re a bit underwhelming - they seem a little too reliant on their absurdly powerful forward-B, which can then leave you feeling helpless once you burn through its limited uses per stock . All said though, their stage is great, the music is phenomenal, and above all else, it just feels so good to have Banjo and Kazooie back home.

Eh. The hype for him was real when the trailer came out, but I saw people on Twitter saying he was boring within like three days of him being released. He doesn't really offer anything unique as a fighter. If you're a fan of Banjo-Kazooie, I suggest you go for it. Other than that, I'm not sure many people will be very interested unless you want a N64 throwback. He feels like a Smash 64 character, which works, I guess.

Banjo and Kazooie is an excellent addition to the cast. The DLC has a good amount of content with a new classic mode, spirits, music, and a new stage. The new stage is awesome. The rotating gimmick is cool and makes for some really fun fights. Banjo and Kazooie play greatly with a good recovery and attacks. The spirits are good picks but I wish there were a few more. The new music is phenomenal and I love the jazzy themes of the bear and the bird. Overall, the Banjo-Kazooie DLC is certainly worth purchasing if you're a fan of the series. The highly requested bear and bird have finally joined the battle, and their representation is glorious. The duo are great to play, with both close-range and projectile options. Of the ten music tracks encompassing Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, there are several great remixes. Spiral Mountain is exciting to play on too. Thanks Nintendo and Microsoft for making this happen. This pack is the best DLC for the game so far.
