A very impressive game. Though it is not punishing in difficulty or complex in story, the gameplay is fun, and collecting all of the game's Spectrobes makes for some decent replay value. This game is an easy recommendation for new RPG gamers, or RPG fans who don't take themselves too seriously.

Consider Spectrobes a fun opportunity to bond with your kids by saving the galaxy from the latest alien menace, and enjoy these times while you still can. In just a couple years, they'll probably be asking you to buy them the equivalent of Modern Warfare 2.
A surprisingly delightful action-RPG. It is, by no means, the most original or most exotic game on the Nintendo Wii, but for a console that is looking for its next big title to lure its gamers back, Spectrobes: Origins is a great pick-up for any gamer.

A perfectly fine adventure game, with collectible monsters, Spectrobes Origins is probably the best title in the series. It would have benefitted from better Wiimote compatability, but a strong adventure game for the Wii lineup.

Play first before you hate. Spectrobes Origins offers the freedom that other monster-catching games don't allow. It is an absolute shame to compare this to pokemon. The only thing similar is the use of monsters to fight however even that is different since you the player can fight with a variety of weapons and not just monsters to fight in this PVE styled refreshing experience. It is recommended to play the 1st 2 games to fully enjoy this game.

I haven't played this in years and I didn't get very far in when I did. I constantly trade my games, I never hoard them unless it is a game I really like and the fact this is still sat in my collection two generations on and I still want to play it again speaks volumes. The only reason I haven't is years of addiction to e-shop sales means I have about 300 games I'm ploughing through. As for the game. It looks great. Really colourful. Fun mechanics. I had no idea what it was and got it on a whim and just thought it was great fun. I'm pretty surprised at the critic score. I'm a big Ys fan but I preferred this to Ys 8 by a long stretch.

The graphics of this game are pretty phenomenal considering the game is being displayed by the Wii.

Spectrobes Origins is home version perfectly adapted from what we've seen in Nintendo DS. It makes good use of the Wii hardware and has a well-integrated story, which is bolstered by a great localization to Spanish.

In conclusion, Spectrobes: Origins is a good attempt at moving the franchise to the console world and works on most levels. The unfortunate aspect of the game is that the RPG aspect seems too contrived and does not add to the genre anything new.

Considering the very limited number of RPGs currently available on the Wii, those who have been looking for a game to wet their appetite should be satisfied with this option.

Spectrobes: Origins brings to Wii the essence of the Nintendo DS games. The real time battles, commanding many kind of creatures and with the new excavation fossils are so great. But the game is simple with repetitive actions and scenarios in a weak story. A recommended game for new RPG gamers and for the fans of the series.

GameSpot
Unsophisticated mechanics and repetitive battles plague this generic space adventure.

RPGamer
With a simplistic, weak story that will only entertain young children and drab, tedious gameplay that only young children could overlook, Spectrobes: Origins is a game that should only be played by kids, and even then, any Pokémon game will provide them with three times the content at three times the quality.

Excelente jogo, me surpreendeu e muito, creio que todos devam dar uma chance ao game, belo visual, excelente jogabilidade e desafio. Apesar de ser um jogo da Disney

I was blown away by how good the game was. I love how the main character is in the battles and how the cinemas actually have voices and are acted out. The new spectrobes are very cool and the spectrobe that you ride to go faster is awsome (warning, you might get addicted and thus don't search for minerals/spectrobes as often). the only reason i said 9 instead of 10, was because even though the main character gets cool diverse weapons, the spectrobes don't do as much in battle as they used to unless there is a second player. Don't get me wrong, the weapons are cool, but spectrobes 2 for ds was going strong with combat. This combat is more fluid and fun, just less spectrobe action than i hoped for.
