I, in short, have no real issues with She’s Leaving, and like it a decent bit. There aren’t much in the way of faults; the game is something the devs clearly cared for, having been working on it from before the pandemic started and the basic premise of the game, as someone that originally went to college to get a degree in criminal psychology before a lack of self-confidence led to my turning to a slightly more generalized psychology degree, is one that’s interesting to me on a personal level, which is how it caught my attention to begin with, as is its location as someone with a fascination with that general area of the world. It’s a wholly worthy addition to the genre, and do suggest it if the genre is one you’re fond of or if you like it’s inspirations.

She’s Leaving is a compact but engaging first-person horror game that blends forensic investigation with tense, stalker-driven survival gameplay. Its atmosphere, smart pacing, and surprisingly polished design make the experience stand out, even when technical hiccups and a few dated mechanics hold it back. For its low price and strong debut showing from a tiny team, it’s an easy recommendation for horror fans looking for a short, satisfying scare.

She's Leaving captivates with its brilliant artistic direction and genuinely tense atmosphere, amplified by the unsettling Gaelic whispers. However, its potential is often undermined by simplistic puzzles, an underutilized forensic system, and a predictable stalker that ultimately loses its dread. Despite these flaws, it delivers an entertaining, albeit short, psychological thriller experience.

Putting you in the shoes of a forensic analyst, She's Leaving challenges you with searching a large and foreboding house for valuable evidence in a missing persons case. It's a short but engaging affair, with the only real annoyance being a stalker-type enemy that you're ill-equipped to hide from.

She's Leaving delivers a psychological horror experience centered on atmosphere, constant tension, and a sense of vulnerability. Blue Hat Studio succeeds in building a disturbing environment and immersive sound design, reinforcing the discomfort and mystery behind Haywood House. While the setting and narrative manage to hold attention, the gameplay execution still lacks refinement, especially regarding pacing and player guidance.

Overall, She’s Leaving is an interesting concept in a horror-themed detective game, but it just needs more to it. The game feels like it’s over way too quick and that it could have had much more variety in its gameplay. For Charles to be a detective, the game doesn’t give him much of a chance to use his detective skills. The best part about the game is its graphics and overall atmosphere, but that sort of falls flat when it keeps repeating exploration mixed with chase sequences instead of giving us much detective work.

If more work were put into making She's Leaving's gameplay fleshed out, it would be an excellent and unique horror game for sure.

Agradezco que se intente algo diferente... y este juego no lo consigue. Hay una cierta "aura", "sensación", llámalo como quieras, que sí se nota distinta. Algo triste. Melancólico. Luego te das cuenta de que no. Es un juego con las mismas mecánicas de siempre y una historia que se queda vacía y llena de tópicos. Una pena.
